You like civility? Are you kidding me? Peeps like you can't take a quarter of what you dish out. You are here evberyday talking down on the country, govt, NFF etc but this armless quote offends you? Are you for real. Guy shift one side.

"Choking the midfield is not being cautious is simply creating balance. Every successful endeavors requires balance. For 75 minutes we had that balance and we dominated. Tunisia changed to 4-3-3, and you as a coach thought the best reaction is to go 4-4-2? Haba. Even someone without football knowledge knows 4-3-3 is the antidote to 442."

I don't think Chelle is good at game management. Although I won't fault his substitutions entirely. I enjoyed the game for 75 minutes. I wanted us to keep on dominating till the end because of my love for that kind football. But maybe we should have become really cautious choking up the midfield and throwing an extra defender. Then bring in Onuachu to be the lone man upfront, to keep the scores at a respectable 3-0, but I am not a coach grin
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:14pm On Dec 28, 2025
Wasn't diving. But I agree some small simulation from us won't hurt grin
CapitalCee:
Our players needs to start Diving inside the 18?yard box. All the North African teams have gotten dodgy penalties, look at the penalty given to Algeria now, pure diving from Ait Nouri. Wasnt even reviewed by the VAR

DW Africa said reportedly meaning they are getting the story from same disingenuous source out. No reference to any fifa decision. looking at the time they posted it, it came out like 2 days ago when the current rumour came out and that one too did not have a source from FIFA.

Onyeka didn't even seem tired for me.

Truidstarr:
Chelle should learn from his mistakes..how do you give up the midfield for wingershuh Simon is finished..in his last legs .bring in midfielders to close out the game.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 10:58pm On Dec 27, 2025
leave that matter.. that was a penalty as long as his hands was raised holding the opponent it can't be adjudged a natural position
jihday:
I think we were unlucky with the goals we conceded tho, a ball the keeper should have saved and a very questionable penalty decision

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 10:46pm On Dec 27, 2025
well said. for once we found the chemistry in midfield. why temper with it?
TheSuperNerd:
Taking out Frank Onyeka was unnecessary. It moved back to midfield 2 instead of staying as a 3 man midfield.

I wonder why Chelle must alter a good and dominabt thing in the name of subs.
