Exousiang01:You are the ignorant one. A wise man once said "the more you know, the more you know you don't know", but you think you know so much because they lied to you in school. You probably don't even know that the deepest secrets of different fields are not usually taught in schools. You may want to argue, so ask yourself why Professors of financial disciplines who should know every wealth building secret, are not the wealthiest people. It's obvious you don't know what the owners of the said companies are about. You are standing but can't see what a sitting elder sees. |
Is it true that recently after people were kidnapped in Oyo, Adeboye told RCCG members to not protest, saying the wife of the president is an RCCG pastor? |
Exgee:I've sent you an email |
Contact me OP. Send me an email through my profile. Once Nairaland pushes the email to me, I'll respond and we can take it from there. There's a safe and effective solution to your problem. |

Omudia11:Learn simple courtesy. So any view you don't believe or feel is not correct is trash? Or you think it's ok to react like a tout just because you are on a faceless forum? Your statement exposes your ignorance concerning trends in the U. S. They think they are pushing R. Kelly down, but what they don't know is they've succeeded in resurrecting R. Kelly's dead career. He was bankrupt but he'll soon be a millionaire once again. Let him release an album. His album sales will skyrocket. Quote me anywhere. PS: This is not an endorsement of child molestation. Say no to it |
GoTV:Lost soul who wasn't reading the Bible (while together with the sheep) spotted. You won't hesitate, right? Kwantinyu |

The highly anticipated Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant where each state of the federation is represented by a highly cerebral and physically appealing young lady has received lots of backlash from Nigerians who watched the event organised by Silverbird Television. The MBGN – is a pageant organized by Silverbird Group with the main purpose of sending representatives to international competitions. The event held yesterday in Bayelsa state, with Senator Ben Murray Bruce, head of the Silverbird group and other prominent figures in attendance. The event was met with Nigerians on Twitter expressing their utter disappointment in it. The MBGN also trended earlier this week after pictures of the contestants hit the net, and had many Nigerians expressing their dissatisfaction with the photo shoot. From the red carpet to the sound, to the video and audio quality, to the camera to mention a few, Nigerians sure had their high hopes dashed. https://amala.ng/index.php/2018/09/22/mbgn2018-is-a-total-disappointment-nigerians-lament/

Former Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has been sent off on his champions league debut for his new club, Juventus. The world best player got a straight red card for attempting to hit Valencia defender, Murillo. He initially appeared to have scratched the defender off the ball, before hitting him in a bid for him to stand up. The central referee, Felix Brych from Germany did not see the incidence, but consulted his extra official who told him what happened. He then sent off. Ronaldo and Juventus are frustrated despite it appearing to pull the hair of the defender. His night comes to a premature end and he leaves the field in tears. http://dailyadvent.com/index.php/2018/09/19/breaking-news-ronaldo-sent-off-on-his-return-to-spain-in-champions-league-tie/

'In a case that he won in Nigerian court, there has been damning evidence in form of an audio telephone call recording of a male student of covenant university, Emmanuel Adooh who was accused of molesting another female student, Effanga Marilyn. He won his court case mostly because he used the father of popular Nigerian singer, FALZ, Mr. Falana as his lawyer - He came online to celebrate his judicial victory when the second student in the scenario, Omotayo Dada released the damning evidence of Mr. Emmanuel boasting of his sexual escapade and how he was able to play the entire system to sue to university and win the case, listen to the released audio below:' (The audio files are more than 250kb so visit this link for the incriminating audio: four different files) https://mobile.twitter.com/Naijapals/status/1040359985719332864

jupiterz:Interesting. What's the name of the battery? I'd like to know the amperage too. Not only that, I'd like to know if you bought the battery in Naija. |
What is the normal duration of 75 amps car battery? Is it two years? |
nnamdibig:Telling someone the hard truth doesn't require being too hard on them or being impolite or uncivil. That's my advice to Nairalanders. I'm a member of foreign forums and the level of barbarism being displayed on Nairaland when someone with bruised emotions seeks advice is sky-high compared to theirs. |
@ Akathriel, that list is even relatively very civil, lenient and God-fearing. Take a look at this: (Just page 1 of 6 Imagine what's in the rest 5 pages)

okwabayi:Kwarrect! |
nnamdibig:Did he claim to be right about his wrongs? I need you to take a screen shot of the post for me to analyse. I'm serious. Meanwhile, don't forget that how one is raised plays a huge role in what they believe is right. If he claims to be right when he is wrong, what should be done is explain why he is wrong to him and do not expect him to believe he is wrong immediately cos certain beliefs are hard to expunge. Be generous enough to give some time. I believe you have some of that sort too. Show some understanding instead of making derogatory statements to someone seeking advice. Some persons are scared of this typical Nairaland attitude so they hardly seek advice and end up committing suicide due to bottled up emotions. Let's not make the world worse for the emotionally vulnerable. |
cococandy:An ungrateful girl spotted. People who have a sense of entitlement in almost everything are usually ungrateful and you strike me as one of that bunch. In my opinion you are more if a shithead than the man. This is someone who is looking for a solution to his family problem and doesn't seem to know where he went wrong. Instead of POLITELY giving him advice if you are sure of its correctness, you are engaging in name calling. Right now I'm just imagining how ugly you look. You might not be ugly (who knows?) but the impression I have of you now is that of an ugly I'll-mannered girl who'll be a trouble to a good husband. Just my thought |
HungerBAD:Wow! Good to know you have patience for reading. |
I felt like ending it there since people get scared to read long posts but since the popular Hungerbad has requested for the remainder, let me oblige him. Can you please show me the list, He brought the list out and here are the items enlisted: The Requirements for the marriage process are: One big black goat 2 bottles of dry gin 2 crates of beer 3 crates of minerals 2 crates of malt #10,000 for the mother #20,000 for the father List of Traditional Marriage Items for the Father of the Bride (Mkpo Ete) One black goat One bottle of 3-in-1 whiskey One carton of schnapps Wrappers like Hollandis, George materials Cartons of Assorted beers Bicycle Walking staff Limestone, Kola and Snuff One shirt, socks and singlet One hat, Umbrella, walking stock Agreed amount of money (in cash only) List of Traditional Marriage Items for the Mother of the Bride (Mkpo Eka) One native goat One bottle of brandy One lace material Cartons of beers One shoe, bra, head tie and a box filled with under wears 4 crates of soft drinks Wrappers like Hollandis, George Material One lace blouse, head gear and accessories Cash for the money ranging from #50,000 List of Traditional Items for the Extended Family of the Bride (Mkpo Ndito Ette) One carton of beer 2 crates of soft drinks Tobacco Bitter kola A bottle of Schnapps Amounts in cash List for the Entertainment on the Marriage Day Money for drinks Money for food and snacks This money is often given to the Bride’s mother. On seeing this list I wept bitterly, ‘why me’ was all I was able to mutter out. Why me! This is a guy whose salary is #50,000 and how then could he afford this, who on earth can even afford this I muttered out. Immediately, I picked up my phone and called my mum, I sounded so bitter on the phone and she became worried after our conversation my dad called me. He said my dear that list was supposed to be more than that but because of the influence I had on the family they had to bring it down to what you are seeing, it’s the tradition and we didn’t even include what we callAkam Adiaha which means prayer for the first daughter , that money is a #100,000 naira and it is done in a huge way, so you see my dear I passed through this same path when I married your mother. I wept and all my dad could say was take heart God will give you a man that is capable and up to the task, he ended the call. My boo wept, he said where am I supposed to get such huge amount of money from and I can’t afford to lose you cause truly you complete my world. I wished I was working I said and mean while I was only a year 3 student in the University of Uyo. What do we then do he ask? well that night I couldn’t sleep I was soaked in tears and my heart was so heavy with thoughts. Is this how I would loss the affection of my man because my culture doesn’t believe in a humble beginning marriage? Well lets fast forward the whole story jor, I moved in with the love of my life and we got married in Ikeja Magistrate Court here in lagos and at about a year in my marriage I got Pregnant I couldn’t hid the mystery any longer the pregnancy will bloom sooner or later and everybody will be in the know. So we opted for my home in Uyo. My dad was so disappointed in me and he called some family members who came around and said that’s a taboo and for us to continue living as couples my husband must pay what they tag Ebot Nsunoyin(which means Goat for insult) This goat symbolizes apologies for defiling their daughter without paying the required price on her head. Well, my hubby did that and also [paid few amount of money and promise to come back for the marriage proper. Believe me am a mother of 4 CHILDREN and up till date we have not been able to fulfill half of what the marriage lists carries. Why you may ask me? Well man must survive and our priorities are our children and our selves. No one has the money to pay for all that but still we hope that someday we might be able to pay. Paying or not paying doesn’t guarantee a happy home. The tradition and custom can be and should be made flexible, the economy they say is bad, young men are trying so hard to be men and yet the tradition makes it complex for them to settle down. This is a voice that speaks the mind of so many women. Edikan Ekanem has this to say, please it is no longer a novel news that Akwa Ibom (Calabar marital procedure as often referred to) is very exorbitant and demanding. It troubles the minds of many how and when young men of Nigeria and Akwa Ibom will gather such funds under this biting, catastrophic and recessed economy. There is seriously a need for rethink. We are not advocating that our ladies should be given out for free neither we are trying to belittle their worth in the society and the value of our culture. Let’s think of this: is it not better that we consider our suitors by making things easy for them than letting our ladies cohabit them without respect and dignity? Is it not good we try to help them do the proper thing as stipulated by law and Bible rather than making them go extra miles marrying adulterously? Is it not good we let them marry in a way that is more financially simple than letting them being ill-treated by men that they cohabit because of fear of menopause? These are things to ponder over. http://thenews-chronicle.com/?p=77583 |
All I can say is Nairaland is the one of the worst places to seek advice on emotional stuff. OP sorry y'hear? Don't mind them. Nairaland is too full of barbaric people who don't mind others' feelings. TUFIAKWA!!!! God forbid. |
