If Osimhen isn’t fully fit then he should be removed.

His work rate isn't the same and honestly, if these guys score before us, then it’s game over. If they drag it to PKs , it’s also game over.

Everyone is dragging osayi but aside nwabali, this team has been below par today.

I laugh when some people say that, without Osimhen, we wouldn’t have gotten to this stage of the competition. Are you guys playing? 😅😅

Put some respect on the names of your fvcking defenders!! Someone is even calling us ungrateful because of Osimhen.  😅😅

Our shots-on-target stats have been dismal in this competition so far. Even if he isn’t scoring, at least he should be hitting the targets ffs!!!

Some of y'all get high blood pressure whenever Osimhen is criticized but put the likes of furo iyenemi and uzoho for that defense and see if una body nor go don tell una..

Mhennnn, in all we do, our game against SA shouldn’t go to penalties because of that Williams.

The werey saved 4 penalties and the werey still has 4 clean sheets so far. 😅😅

Reminds me of enyeama that saved 4 PKs in the QF game against Tunisia in 2006.

that team was the worst super eagles team to ever play at world cup. Prior to that, they ve been wobbling and fumbling. First at the nations cup where they struggled to win a single match losing to eventual winner egypt and ghana. Lagerback came and NFF draw up a list containing out of form utaka and kanu, tooth aiyegbeni for him to perform miracle. Only player that came to the party were danny shittu, enyeama, osaze and kalu uche

The manner in which the matches were played and lost indeed are questionable.

I even had sleepless nights for this team..

I still cannitbbelieve it that Nigeria did not get out of such a weak group. Mhennn.

I still feel some players or even the coach took bribe in this tournament.

I can’t explain Osaze’s failure to pass to Martins against Argentina when clear or Obasi’s disgraceful open net miss against Greece when the match was still 1-1.
Abi is it Yak's refusal to pass to Martins when clear against Korea? Or aiyegbeni’s open-net miss which remains impossible for any professional to achieve.

As for the werey lagerback,he sat there when Messi and no name Greek players where using Enyeama for target practice without making any adjustments. To add to matters he started the most useless defender ever to done a green shirt in a WC - Afolabi - at left back when Echiejile was available to play. That move cost us two goals against Korea in a game where we scored first only to draw 2-2... knowing fully well that a win likely puts into the next round.

I nor wan talk about Kaita.

It seems like most of our players will make the team of the tournament bar zaidu and Simon.

Our players are proper ballers!!! Ola Aina is amongst the top 5 RB’s in the world atm make I nor lie. Abi e get wetin Trent and Dalot do pass am? Man gives me this Rory delap vibes whenever he wants to do a throw-in. Iwobi is most definitely the heart of the midfield. Some people here should stop acting like paid agents. TBH, I don’t understand the iwobi slander.. I hope musa gets game time before he retires after this afcon.

A lot is happening in Nigeria and truthfully, na cruise and afcon dey keep most people happy lately for naija. Glad these boys are making Nigerians happy.

Kudos to the coach. GOD bless super eagles!! GOD bless Nigeria and GOD bless Nigerians!!!

Sunday Mba was very influential to us lifting the AFCON. Dont disrespect him because he was home based. He was a beautiful attacking midfielder. Iwobi is not half the player he was. Mba was also in his late twenties during the AFCON without European football experience.

The irony of life. Shekpites claimed they scammed Manchester United and Arsenal, but they forgot, so soon they bought Caicedo for 115m, LUTH Lavia for 58m, defensive goalkeeping clean sheet attacker Mudryk for 100m, baby face djemba djemba Enzo for 107m and other trap rappers.

There is a part I never wan touch yet cos it affects Kanu too. That's the part they did a palace coup for the other old guards in 2002. Oliseh, Finidi got kicked out of NT. And Okocha became captain

The same oliseh that played a bigger role in what happened to Enyeama and Mikel when he took over as coach. He didn't care how he treated the very veterans that have suffered the same fate as he did when he was with the super eagles.

Calm down. Morocco were nobodies in African football. Yeah they went to World Cup and did one or two but exited at group stages. From 1990 to 2004, I'm sure you can't name one AFCON where Morocco have made an impact. Even till today, they are still nobodies in AFCON.

A South African team without Benni McCarthy. A team with old Lucas Radebe, and you think they stood a chance against Nigeria?

The team was already fading away after the 1998 AFC finals. What impact did they have on the African stage after the 2000 Nations Cup?

Oliseh was better as a DM than Mikel

What do you think is the reason big teams no reason Okocha type football but Fenernahce Bolton type clubs

When we win its mostly to park Okocha to a peripheral role, when we make him the cornerstone we lose or get embarrassed by not qualifying for 2006 world cup

Ironically, it was when Okocha turned tyrant due to the treatments meted on the team by the NFF, Nigeria didn't qualify for the 2006 World Cup. In a rather unfortunate way, that hints at how important he was to the Eagles.

Okocha is the reason the midfield was overrun against Cameroun. Oliseh was working alone. All Okocha did in that game was score free kick. He was directly responsible for Camerouns midfield dominance

Go and check how we dominated the semifinal against South Africa when Okocha was suspended and we had real midfielders rather than an "entertainer" in the middle. SA was a major team back then having won 1996 and made the final in 1998. We played them off the park showing some actual midfield functionality for the first time in that tournament, but no, they had to bring Okocha back in the final to dabaru everything.

Then go and tell me how Okocha got red card in the quarter final against Senegal and we were on the brink of elimination till Oliseh had to come off the bench with malaria to bail us out with long pass to Aghahowa to turn round the tie from losing 1-0 in the dying minutes to 2-1

I will keep saying it, Super Eagles always played better without that circus footballer. USA 1994, his only start was against Italy. We were doing well till they gave him shirt. Olympics he was useless, Oruma was always the one coming on to change the game

Be honest, can you let Okocha run midfield for your club in a 4-4-2 era? Your DM better have 5 lungs to cover him

Egbon, a playmaker looks good when his team mates finish what he creates, but with a goal-shy front line of Kanu and Chukwu (if not for aghahowa that saved us) at the afcon 2000, jayjay was forced to try to be the source of goals himself. And he did his best. Imagine he was also the joint top scorer at afcon 2004!! As good as Oliseh was he was not better than Mikel Obi who is constantly being disrespected by fans..

You talked about the quarter finals but didn’t mention his impact in the group stages where he serially raped mustapha hadji and khale with the later running away from the game before the end after the constant knacking from okocha.

We miss the flare and creativity in the AM, Okocha’s game goes way over dribbles, the intelligence is just mesmerizing to watch. We simply don’t have a player with such skill. Iwobi is poor mans Okocha.

And of course sir, like most other playmakers, he can only really be effective operating behind a front two..

Iwobi is more important to SE than JayJay ever was. SE always did better without JayJay, can't say the same for Iwobi

Senior man, even if everybody talk this kind thing, you nor suppose talk like this na bros.

Have you forgotten afcon final of 2000? Lauren and Geremi abusing your Chelsea legend Babayaro all afternoon.. The only thing positive about us on the day was Jayjay.

Finidi and Oliseh were core passengers. The midfield was totally run by jayjay and he ended up scoring a wonder goal.

What about the 2004 Afcon, he pretty much carried that useless team.. The golden bronze we picked up was all due to Okocha..

Okocha not winning the 2004 African Player of the year is the worst discredit done to the African game.

Let's savor the victory , pray we continue the positive charge and build momentum towards achieving the main goal.
