Digital age, I agree.

However, if you don't post it here, and not let us know about the player, it means nothing to the majority that come here to get info about our players home and abroad.

When TheSuperNerd posted this on Nathan Tella, I did not have a clue about him. This was five star. Years later, I praised TheSuperNerd for bringing our attention to him.

lol. Speak for yourself. You have no clue, but that doesn’t mean everyone else does not have a clue.. Do you think our lives revolve around only Nairaland? There are people here that are also on other football social networks, and they have heard about Tella and others.

Everybody must not post, and if anyone posts about a certain player, do not make it look like it’s an achievement or a discovery.

that’s the issue and when you analyze the whole thing it seem they are been paid to do this all these years

Bro in football of this era talent no dey hide and once you are good and hv a sound management team you will be fished out

Nwakali’s total transfer fee since he moved to Europe isn’t up to 3m euros when calculated so literally he is one of the chepeast players out there to snap up but decent clubs still haven’t made moves for him over the years

Like you said making it as a midfielder in this era goes far beyond tailor made long balls and defense splitting passes. You need to be strong, a runner with massive work rate as well as been a bit comfortable on the ball

They keep on hyping nwakali while the ones they deem less talented are been monitored and signed by better clubs every transfer window 🤣🤣🤣

Just imagine Onyedika of yesterday is been monitored by Barca and few epl teams for a possible transfer in the summer.

Alhassan had interest from sporting Lisbon and Hellas Verona last summer but Antwerp refused selling

Onyeka who many here tag a bench warmer and carpenter attracted laliga club Girona in the just concluded winter window but brentford refused letting him go. Even Everton came with a loan proposal which was turned down too

And they claim nwakali is better than the trio I mentioned above? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

lol. Country hard. Make dem collect money chop. 😂😂. Right now, if I see who pay me money I go sing the praises of haruna lukman to come mount that midfield. Abi nor be their pockets all man dey fight for? 😂😂

Someone we have watched him since his U17 days and it’s now obvious that no serious team wants to use him. What does nwakali add to his team when they do not have the ball? How many tackles does he win? How much ground does he cover? lol.

Actually, discover for this thread and bring to our notice is discover. TheSuperNerd posting Nathan Tella first here equates to discovering him for us.

lol. Because no one talks about a player here, that doesn’t mean we don’t know about the player.

This is the digital age. Do you guys think people do not read about football news and get information about players?  cheesy

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just take a look at the boy I posted about few minutes ago

Just a year in Spain where his first stop was Spanish 5th tier he will be moving to laliga next summer

All we do here is to live in the past mostly rating players based on their exploits many years ago

I bet you that if Nwakali is as good as many think here he will be the first name in jpes team with regards to him playing in the gaffer’s country

We go still dey this nwakali matter kids like Eletu,Akin, Daga and even Nnadi will grow to star in big leagues and clubs 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bro, the sad truth be say that guy nor Dey good enough. 25 years old, yet 8 clubs already. Why didn’t la liga clubs in Spain recognize him for his passing skills and exceptional set piece ability before he moved to Portugal?

Football don pass stage of just long pass and dribble. If you don’t put in enough energy into your play, sweat merchants go use you shine for midfield.

Nwakali was last really good as a youth international.. I’m frankly puzzled why some people here remains obsessed about him. lol. Wake up guys. This is 2024.

Musa,Omeruo, Aribo,Awaziem and Chukwueze should retire from international football.

We absolutely need an integration of new players and ideas.. Get in the likes of Orban, Tella, Igoh Ogbu, Adabarabioyo etc.

People are harder on iwobi due to his lazy style of play. For example, Tank onyeka might not be the best passer or creative outlet but he puts his heart on his sleeve. As for iwobi, he needs to search for his best position, improve on his conditioning and fitness training and has some end results. As a center midfielder in 8 games, 0 goals nor assists is hard to forgive

7 games , 1 goal as a striker is good? 😊

Some Nigerians are just annoying.

How can you even watch the match and begin to scapegoat Iwobi? The coach relinquished the midfield to Ivory Coast with the way he set up the team. There's no active midfielder of Nigerian decent that's eligible for Nigeria at this very moment that's a better passer than Alex Iwobi at the moment.

Someone that thrives in a 3 man midfield, now has to play in a 2 man midfield and as a DLP. Blame the coach and the ghost called Osimhen.

Depend on your perspective, is it on performance for club and league or past performances for the SE.❓

Shouldn’t merits be based on present performances for club? What has past performances got to do with a player’s merit?

A month ago on this forum, the funeral of the super eagles was been planned when the Super Eagles was very much alive. Some Monikers on here had already started selling Asoebi, some had hired the band that will play at the funeral, some had hired cooks for the occasion and casket had been bought. Fast forward to one month later… the Super Eagles are not only alive but actually thriving. The same folks who were planning the funeral are now the most vocal ones giving advice on how the Super Eagles should set up and play.
There are very few who believed they would get to this stage. I wish us all the best in our Final match to day.

Make I nor lie, you and marjoribanks suppse dey Ivory Coast go join the SE to lift the trophy today.

You guys unwavering support for the team gave some of us hope. E come be like say una dey see wetin some people nor dey see.

At this stage, I have to give a big shout-out to Marjoribanks. He's one of the few here who voiced his relentless and persistent support for the Super Eagles before the Afcon.

I may not like some of his opinions, especially when it comes to Nwakali, but his unceasing attitude didn't go unnoticed.

I hope Musa makes a cameo appearance tomorrow. He should be the one lifting the trophy, like Yobo did in 2013.

He is still a young chap bruh. Guess you remember he is same set as Osimhen?!

Baba, today’s football is very physical and you won’t get away with just showing up with the intelligent long pass, free kick and dribble.

The same omonambala that loves gidigbo football and calls iwobi lazy wants nwakali in the midfield.

Perfect definition of “tell me you don’t know the game without saying you don’t know the game”. 😅😅

The sad reality is nwakali is not SE material but most people here don't want to accept that.

Can you recommend a player like nwakali in our man utd midfield with all his deep playmaking abilities and phenomenal set piece ability? ? 😅😅

Unpopular Opinion; Nwakali would have done a better job than Iwobi with 3 - 4 - 3 formation. Note he is naturally a deep-lying playmaker. He is capable of scanning every corner of the pitch and so good at long range passes.

Osimhen wouldn't be that starved with Nwakali in the middle.

Which nwakali? lol. Nwakali has regressed a lot since the U17 days.

That boy isn’t SE material. The day iwobi gets dropped from the SE, na that day una go realize say iwobi is one of our most crucial players.

Big ups to moffi. He was the first to take the pk and his calm demeanor should be studied.

Imagine missing the first pk. Respect to Terem. He took it like it was nothing. Man was very calm and composed and slotted it home very coolly. And after Aina missed his penalty kick, he showed true leadership by running to encourage him.
