musicwriter: I've read your attachment but the author is probably still talking about Bethlehem.
Whydah means "farm house" or Bethlehem, not farm. Unless, of course, if it's used as an abbreviation.
The name originated from the fact that the snake goes to a literal farm house or a dilapidated place to give birth. When a snake wants to give birth, it goes into hiding in an abandoned place. So the ancient Africans called the birth place of the Savior (symbolized by the snake) Bethlehem meaning a dilapidated place, a stable, a menger. That's indeed where the so called "Jews" and Europeans after millions of years of mything would claim that a savior was born in Bethlehem in Judea. They just copied and put inside the Bible and Tanaka without realizing what Africans were saying.
I believe that's what your source is trying to say but because our native languages have been destroyed, we simply don't understand that there are many Bethlehems in Africa.
Still, I'll check out your source
Get old South African map by JA Wyld 1844. It shows the city of Jerusalem and Bethlehem and other Biblical cities. As I speak to you, the real Jerusalem in South Africa is a desolate city as described in the scriptures. It was the reason European Jews wanted to settle in Kenya in their original Ugandan plan but because interior Africa was harsh to their skin, they opted for Palestine.
musicwriter: You're right, except that the people called Israelis today are imposters and have nothing to do with the Israelites written in the Bible. They adopted Judaism relatively recently and it was only when we went into slavery in ancient Egypt (not the Atlantic slave trade) that they appeared from nowhere as "Jews".
The "Eboes" couldn't have gotten their God system from Northern Africa or the Middle East because according to all the sciences (paleontology, archeology, Genetics) humanity moved from Southern Africa to Northern Africa and to the rest of the world. The people in Israel today didn't even exist when the Adam and Eve story, Abraham, Noah e.t.c were told in Africa.
I'll show clearly and historically in my upcoming book that the people in Israel today got that story from the Eboes.
However, I haven't seen any source saying that Whydah was called Judah in ancient times. What I've discovered though, is that Whydah means the same thing as Bethlehem as well as "Ulo Nri."
Whydah means "farm house."
Ulo Nri means "house of food" in English or "Ulo ubi" which is also "farm house" in Igbo. Both names are also name of towns in Anambra state today.
Bethlehem literally means "house of bread" or "house of food" or "Ulo Nri" in Igbo, which is what the ancient Africans called the birth place of the Savior (symbolized by the snake). So, yes, the connection is clear and that's probably what you're talking about
You can get this book. Also listen to Bishop Nathaniel teaching. He quoted many old books

Old books referred to the Kingdom of Whydah as Kingdom of Judah and the inhabitants were called Jews. The Judeans of Kingdom of Judah were said to mix Judaic religious practices with pagan practices and they spoke Loschen Khodish, which was the original language of ancient Isrealites. Since the language the Judeans of Judah spoke was the same language Igbo priests from Nri spoke with them when they visited Kingdom of Judah. I came to the conclusion that Igbo language is the original language of ancient Isrealites which was referred as Loschen Khodish. Old African maps depicted Kingdom Juda or Whydah. Everyone knows that the true Hebrew Isrealites in Europe prior to inquisitions were black people. White Jews stole the identity of black Jews after killing and dispersing them during inquisitions and slavery which was financed and supported by Roman Catholic Church.
Many scholars concluded that Modern location of State of Isreal is not the location of Biblical Isreal. Biblical Isreal was located in the interior of Africa. This is because Biblical cities were located in the interior of Africa if you study old African maps prior to colonisation of Africa.
musicwriter: Igbos had been all over Africa and (I dare say all over the world) since time immemorial.
I am currently researching the Adam and Eve story in the bible which led me to snake worship in ancient time and I came across this book written by a John Deane in 1833. When he talked about Snake worship in Whydah kingdom (today's Benin republic) he concluded that the people of Whydah got the practice from Eboes. In fact, he said that Igbos were addicted to snake and Iguana worship.
The Ooni of Ife is right when he said that Igbos used to live in Yorubaland in ancient time. I've been able to confirm that. The word "Igbo" in Yoruba (forest) most likely refers to a settlement of these people.
Buju Banton is right too. When the author talked about Jamaica, he said "from these two tribes (Igboland and Whydah) chiefly were the negros of Jamaica and the West Indian islands formerly taken, and the addiction of these people to Obeah worship is well known by melancholy memorials".
Igbos are like the ancient Mongols, they could travel very far away from their homeland. But they'll always go back home.
For those who may wonder how I know that John Deane was talking about the Igbos of today's Nigeria, he did mention in a foot note that the king of the Igbos was called "Obi" then as its called today (See attachment)
I've stumbled on something very significant but lack of resources won't let me get all the information I need to publish my book but what I can say right now with the information I have so far is that the Adam and Eve story in the bible originated from Anambra state. And in Whydah they called themselves "children of God" according to the author.
They were the first people that told that story but the information has been beaten out of our brains through many years of slavery, miseducation and colonialism
The real name of the Kingdom of Whydah was Kingdom of Judah. Ancient Nri priests travelled from Nri Kingdom in the present day Anambra State to the Kingdom of Judah on the West African coast because they were kinsmen to the Igbos. Also Kingdom of Judah spoke Igbo language because Nri priests did not need interpreters to speak with them. The Judeans of the Kingdom of Judah were dear to us and unfortunately, they were destroyed by Kingdom of Dahomey and all the Judeans fled and majority were sold to slavery. This is basis that we say that Igbos are descendants of Ancient Isrealites. It is difficult for many people to believe it. Nri people worship snake python till this day. Some of the descendants of slaves who trace their DNA to Igbo are descendants Judean slaves from Kingdom of Judah (Whydah). Because the Kingdom of Judah was completely destroyed as well as the fact that Igbos were the kinsmen of the Judeans, they are now mistakenly being traced to the Igbos. In addition, Igbos regards themselves as the children of God (Umu Chukwu) and worship one supreme God, Chukwu Okike Abiama (God of Abiama, the creator).
EmeeNaka: It is a result of Pentecostal christianity and Nnamdi Kanu. Pentecostal christianity liberalised Christian practices and unfortunately weakened it. Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu brought this idol worshipping back into Igbo people's fold through his extreme fascist nationalism where he severally condemned Christians and Christianity and favoured judaism and idolatry. So the idol worshippers rode on the momentum and build support amongst Kanu base who are largely Christians and deviated them. Social media also helped them. Yahoo yahoo promoted the whole thing likewise.
Igbos have awakened and are going back to their ancestral religion. It has nothing to do Nnamdi Kanu.
You proposed that Yoruba speaking part of Kwara and Kogi, and even some part of Delta and Edo state be merged with south west to form Western region.
But in the case of south east, you didn't propose that the Igbo speaking part of Rivers, Delta, Benue, Kogi, Cross River, etc be merged together to form South Eastern region, rather to show your true colour of hatred, you are proposing that the Ohaji/Egbema region, one of the oil producing LGAs in southern imo state be removed from South East to form part of Southern/Niger Delta region. Is it not shameless daylight witchcraft?
The proposal will not see the light of the day. Yoruba people think that they are smarter than everyone. They are preparing the grounds for seccession. They think that every other ethnic nation in Nigeria is stupid. Northerners and Easterners will outrightly reject the proposals. Of course, Tinubu is aware of what will happen if he tries to enforce it.
ValCon888: This is not diminishing the devastation of Mr.Ibu's death. Still, I'd like to sound this warning for our actors to live a healthier lifestyle.
Some would still be alive today if they drank, ate, or smoked less. Others go further to do drugs like cocaine or heroine.
A short lifespan and people mourning you before your time is the consequence of these unhealthy habits.
You need to live mindfully to live long.
May his soul rest in peace.
Death is universal everywhere. It occurs whether you live a healthy life style or not. Death comes when it is time. Our journey on this planet is transient. Once you understand it, you will learn to take life easy. May Mr Ibu's memory be a blessing.
Black people are known for spending energy on other peoples problem instead of their own problems. People who do not give Bleep about us. I have not seen you protesting for the victims of Fulani herdsmen and Boko haram attacks. I have not seen you protesting against politicians looting the country. How many times have you seen Palestinians protesting against deaths of Nigerians in the hands of Boko Haram. You should channel your energy to something that will benefit Nigerians. This is reason other races see black people as bunch of idiots and fools.
He was a true soldier. He answered the call to serve his homeland Biafra when called upon. He also distinguished himself in the line of duty despite all the challenges faced by biafran soldiers in terms of logistics and equipment. His military exploits during the war have been etched in the annals of history. He was a terror to the murderers and genocidists. He will be remembered by all Igbos alive and those yet to be born into this life for his courage, dedication to duty and selfless service to our fatherland. His memory will be cherished by all lovers of peace, equality and justice. Ikemba Asaba jee nke oma. Ka chukwu nabata mkpuru obi gi na dukwa. Amen
How will Nigeria develop when yorubers and hausas don't want to work. They always depend on Niger delta oil. They produce and celebrate billionaires with oil wells. They keep on deceiving themselves that Buhari will change the country without restructuring nigeria. What is happening in Nigeria is a tip of iceberg. Without regionalism based on ethnicity and fiscal federalism, nobody including Buhari will change Nigeria.
Mekanze: Mind you guys, the man is Igbo man from Benue not South East ooooooo.
Yeah. He is an Igbo from Izzi clan from Benue state. But he is from north central. Oju/Obi federal constituency contains more than 1.5 million Igbo that where put in Benue state during state creation. They want to be returned to Ebonyi state Southeast. Its their senatorial zone that David Mark is representing.
NigerMan1: @ johnbosco97 - the Kalabaris people are 100% Ijaws. They are in fact, one of the most important clans of the Ijaw nation. Yes because the word "Ijaw" is humongous; covers more than 50 clans with linear cultural and linguistic differences, it is normal to find few people to prefer to be known by their primary clan identity.
Now if they are not Ijaw, why is Asari Dokubo, Professor Tam David West, Taribo West etc, openly called or referred to themselves as IJAWS?

For political expediency, they are Ijaw. People from Opobo, Kalabari, nembe and Ogbia that I work with always denied being Ijaw. I was surprised to discover that a colleague who is a descendant of Jaja of Opobo denied Ijaw tag. Same with a corper nurse from Kalabari that serve in our hospital. Throughout her stay, she was writing kalabari as her ethnicity. Politically people of Niger delta unite to increase their number just like Hausa-fulani tag despite the fact that there is nothing like Hausa-fulani ethnicity. Its either one is Hausa or Fulani. From my encounter with people from those towns you mentioned and what they told me, I maintained my earlier stand. Thanks.
2kurupt: I do get your point but there's a point you need to take note of. The larger Ijaw nation that cuts across several States such as Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Ondo etc are actually referred to as Izon, while there also exists an Izon tribe that's called Ijaw in Bayelsa State. (President Jonathan's tribe). So you see, people tend to get it all mixed up. Am sure your Doctor friend's emphasis of not been called Ijaw is because the latter.

You should stop deceiving people. People of ogbia, Nembe, Kalabari and Opobo are not Ijaw. They are independent ethnic nationalities of Niger delta except Opobo which are Igbo speaking and of Igbo descent. In the hospital where I work, Dr Jaja, a descendant of Jaja of Opobo, write Igbo as his ethnicity not Ijaw. A nurse in my ward from Kalabari always argue that she is Kalahari not I jaw. point of correction, president Jonathan is of Ogbia ethnicity not Ijaw. For political expediency, they may accept I jaw tag. Please stop misinforming people. Thanks.
Stop lying Kalabari people are not Ijaw. My doctor friend who is a Kalabari always frown being called Ijaw. Please tell us another story. He said that Ijaws are descendants of Portuguese servants that settled in coastlines, hence their language similarities with Portuguese creoles. Please stop fabricating stories that will mislead uninformed people. Anyway am yet to see a Kalabari that call himself I jaw.
PAGAN9JA: Why are these people dressed up like oyinbo masquerade
Whats with those hats?
Do these black foolz think they are British?
Is this the way Nigerians (Africans) conduct funeral?
WHAT A SHAMEFUL GENERATION.
May the GODS of ova forefathers guide my people on the right path. .
IGBO BURIAL RITES (Cant bliv as a Hausaman i have to educate Igbos on dia burial rites. Shameful generation)
Among the Igbo people of southeastern Nigeria, death is traditionally a highly ritualized event filled with deep mourning. The traditional burial rites involve not one, but two funerals whose main intention is to safely escort the deceased from the realm of the living to the spirit world. Only after a successful second funeral can the deceased pass from the time of "ita okazi" -- a period of torment -- into a state of peace and contentment.
IMMEDIATE PREPARATIONS
When an elderly man or woman dies, the corpse is immediately stretched out on plantain leaves, sponged down thoroughly and rubbed with camwood dye to mark it as sacred. After the cleaning, the body is laid out in the living room, lying down with the feet facing the entryway -- though if the deceased is a woman, she is often seated upright. Women are also carried in a stretcher back to their ancestral village for burial.
THE WAKE
Once the body has been prepared for its passage from the world of the living into the spirit world, a wake is held. The eldest son of the bereaved family welcomes the community into the home with kola nuts and palm wine. Prayers and libations are spoken to beckon ancestral spirits into the home to escort the spirit of the deceased. The wake lasts the whole night until gunshots are fired early the next morning to alert the surrounding village of the death that has occurred.
FIRST BURIAL
After the wake takes place, the body is immediately buried in a grave dug in the living room. Also enclosed are a large quantity of cloth and some of the deceased's most valued possessions in life. Men are often buried with their tools, gun or fishing gear, and women with their pots and dishes. The body is then placed in the grave by young men and encased in wooden planks.
SECOND BURIAL
The first burial, however, is not the end of Igbo funeral rites. Several months or even a year after the body is buried, a second funeral is held, but this time, it is accompanied by feasting and merry-making rather than mourning. Visitors dress in their best attire, and sing and dance to alert the community of the event that is about to be held. After the second funeral, the deceased is said to have been sent off to take up a new place in the land of the dead.
Remember Ojukwu's body was kept for 97 days? That was a short time for a Chief actually.
Because the Igbos strongly believe in reincarnation, proper burial rites are required in order to accomodate the soul.
You are a cow. Go educate your almajiri brothers before educating the Igbo.
focus7: I will wait to see how long the romance between the igbos and he south south will last. In opinion, igbos are the only people I know that doesn't have direction, they follows anyone so far they can get a kitchen appointment.
Stop fooling yourself. Go read history of interactions between tribal nations of old eastern Nigeria and Midwestern Nigeria. The romance between them predated creation of Nigeria. It will interest you to know that Igbo speaking people are indigenous to all south south state. You should also know that Governor of cross river state is Igbo. Its cultural similarity that bound them together for years.
