Tobyy10: The courses on the skilled list are in demand. I suggest you target the Medium/Long term courses (MLTSSL) because of the chance of them still being on the list after your studies. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/working-in-australia/skill-occupation-list |

Melahou: Marketing to Nursing is a big leap that would ring a bell to admissions and Visa officers. Moreover you need to have completed some biology units in undergrad to be qualified for most graduate entry MSc nursing degrees. Also, you will need a strongly convincing SOP to even get Msc in public health with a Bsc in marketing. If bent on the nursing degree, your best bet might be to get in on any viable course and switch to Bsc nursing asap. It will be a long journey, but with determination, nothing is impossible. Another suggestion is to start looking for another career path course. |

Midegee: You are good to go Doc. Apply for Master of public health or related course. With sufficient documents(work experience, prior qualifications), proof of funds and home ties, your visa is certain. Get on-shore, relate with the docs here as you progress your study prepare, for your board exams and assessment. The journey is not that rossy, but its worth it when you begin your practice here. Oz needs doctors more than you need the PR, you just qualify first. 1 Like |

Froshloaded: Yes, you get 2years work visa if you complete any Bsc or Masters(coursework) degree, duration of course must be at least 2 academic years. You can apply for permanent residency only if your course or qualification is on the skilled list. 3 Likes |

Bossplaya1: Agriculture is a good field to get your P.R in Australia. Agriculture is on the Long & medium term occupation list and also on the global talent list (fast tracked PR if you are distinguished in your field or finish with a distinction). It is a big Industry that needs qualified experts. There is a high demand but low qualified applicants for Agric and related field. So you are on the right track. P.S. If you have prior Agric qualifications and experience, try the P.R route direct. If not, come for your masters, get your post study, with 1 year AU experience, you should be good to get PR. 4 Likes |

creativefun: http://cricos.education.gov.au/Course/CourseSearch.aspx The link will help you filter schools with respect to your course. If you click on each school the search brings, you will see the course duration and estimated total fees of the course. If its a 2 years course, divide the fees by 4 to know your initial deposit. Bear in mind the fees there does not include the health insurance yet. Get a school, Gather your docs, Apply for admission, They will likely refer you to an agent, Complete your application, Get a conditional offer, Fulfill the condition, Get admission & COE, Re-gather your documents, Apply for visa, Get visa. The best way to get visa is to submit sufficient documents( especially home ties & proof of fund) and having an English test score. 3 Likes |

titila: Nothing is guaranteed yet as per opening of borders but i believe the borders will open by next year. So yes, its worth paying fees now and lock your money in, get your COE and apply for your visa asap. Moreover, the naira situation will get very worse soon as the economy is witnessing a negative rate growth, so the longer you wait, the more you will end up paying. Should the borders not be opened before feb, you can always defer resumption to next entry. Worst case, you can always get you refund from school if plans change. 1 Like |

Amahjosh: IT related courses is the new gold. If you can finish with a distinction honours and the present visa policies remains thesame, you can get your PR in about 3 - 10 weeks through the global talent visa stream. There is a lot of prospect and opportunity for lT fields in AU & worldwide mainly (Data science, Artificial intelligence, Cybersecurity, modern networking & programming and the likes) All schools offering the course in AU are good. Any sibling or family member can sponsor you irrespective of their names, you just have to show the evidence of the relationship between you and sponsor. |

sirtony5: You will easily get an accounting course or in related field for Msc. However accounting is one of the most competitive skill for PR. They mostly only invite people with at least 90points. Its advisable you do your IELTS now to boost your application. Yes your sibling anywhere in the world can be your sponsor. |

Mystical12: Go for masters on a course on the skilled occupation list, not any course. You may get admission without english test, but english test solidifies your application for admission and visa. You can't escape english test on this journey. You need english test result for your post study visa application and permanent migration. They accept upto 3 years for post study visa english test, so you can still use the same one you got admission with then. School fees varies with course not generally Budget about #4M initial fees for a management course. |

maduikeblessing: Nursing is getting more competitive to get in. You can get graduate entry into Masters of nursing with your Bsc. However, because nursing is very competitive, visa officers might see it as a pathway for permanent migration especially because you are applying from an AL3 country. You can apply for Masters of public health, register units that are applicable for nursing in your first semester. You will have a better chance to switch to Nursing when onshore and your first semester public health units won't be a waste. There is job prospects for all registered nurse in AU. No cheap school as well, you can use the link below to compare schools and their fees. http://cricos.education.gov.au/Course/CourseSearch.aspx 1 Like 2 Shares |

https://amp.abc.net.au/article/12349422 The July corridor will mainly be for those who have been granted visa and enrolled students that travelled and got stuck oversea. They will extend the corridor to new applicants, that is the main aim. There is no final details yet, the quarantine arrangements will likely be between the school and student. The school will finance the corridor but nothing has been said about the cost fall on students. |

lasisig5: You can get Masters of Nursing, graduate entry with your result and degree. But graduate nursing without previous nursing experience or degree may raise a flag with immigration even if you get admission. You can think about applying for masters of public health. Then apply for the masters of nursing when you are onshore. The first semester of public helath will be the sacrifice, but you can always claim credit for any completed unit even if you change course or Uni. You wont have to do that unit again or pay for it. This may be less expensive and faster. You have to check individual school for english requirement. https://cricos.education.gov.au/ You can't escape english test on this journey. Do it now if you can and get ready to do better later. It will solidify your application too. |

Ikjosh04: Just to clarify that the 5m mentioned expires after first semester (6months) of study. Then #4m there about per semester for another 3 semester = #12m. That is roughly #17m total. The job market is good, you will mostly get something to do and earn decently. Personally i feel you can even out and recoup your investment in 2 years after study, the rest years becomes profit . |

Ufodeking: Get the facts right from the Uni, Are you applying for an online degree? Or the online mode is due to the travel restrictions. If the later is the case, you can accept it albeit go through the normal process of getting your COE and applying for a visa. Then be able to travel as soon as restrictions are lifted. |

sandysilver: Permanent residents and citizens get subsidy for child care up to 60% of the cost below. But temporary residents including student visa will have to pay all this money out of their pocket. So daycare ranges depending on centres. $90-110/child/day for a standard basic registered daycare. Most operate from 7am - 6pm/7pm. There are also family daycares about $60-$80/day/child(some registered). Then there is back of house daycare lesser than $50/day or about $6-$10/hr(not registered) these ones are flexible. The down part is they are not registered and may not have the basic skills and requirements to cater for children hence been risky for your child. Normal school hours (Pry & Sec) runs from 8am/830am to 230pm/3pm. Most schools (Pry) provide or have arrangements with after school care (you will pay) till around 6pm or 7pm. Budget about $8k - $10k/session (3terms) for a primary pupil study expenses in a government school. Catholic&private cost more. Then $10k - $15k/session in Secondary school. 2 Likes 1 Share |

sandysilver: No, you cant travel with a Nanny from Nigeria. As people have mentioned, are you financially ready? Pay school fees, show the funds for yourself and kids, and you will actually need that funds when you get to Australia. Apart from general up keep $3,500 per year/child, you have to show funds for any child above 5years(school age) and it is illegal to keep them out of school for more than 12weeks. So you must enrol them and spend on compulsory supplies, excursions, camp,... If they are not up to to school age, no government help on student visa, the very basic standard childcare service is $80-$110/day/child. With a decent minimalist calculation, you will need at least $50,000/year on your 3kids excluding your own school fees and expenses. I will advise you include them in your application but state they are not traveling with you. Travel, settle down, your hubby can do the visit. When you have progressed with your study, maybe after a year, you can think of a good reason maybe homesickness or anything that will make sense to visa officers with evidence of your study progression, then apply for your eldest child. You can bring the remaining 2 in with post study visa. But it will still be very stressful with 3kids on your own even after school, you will need your husband except he his ready to keep pumping the $$$ and your only job will be looking after the kids. Reevaluate your options and expenses and if your husband is very rich enough you can get your PR through investor scheme with $1.5m. 2 Likes |

smith042: You can follow your agents advice if you are 100% sure there wont be a change of plans later on. You only have a conditional offer atm, it may be better you secure your spot by paying your fees = being enrolled in your course. After, you can defer your starting to January and get a new COE for Visa application. Since you have admission, why dont you follow through with full payment for your COE and apply for visa if you can? You can still meet July entry. The Government is contemplating on opening the border for international students by July. I believe they would actually open the borders because international students are the cash cows of Australian education. They need IS fees to run effectively. If they will open the border for IS by july, i presume grants will be granted easily because of the imminent reduction in the number of student visa application and the desperate need of IS money to kickstart the declining economy. 1 Like 1 Share |

alao1981: As of today in Australia, it is mandatory for everyone coming into Australia irrespective of the country to self isolate (stay indoors and away from people) for at least 14days. Failure to do this is a serious crime and consequences will follow. How will you self isolate if you are just coming afresh and don't even have a place of your own yet? My advise is this. 1. Get a deferment letter from your school till July. 2. Write to the home affairs office about your decision to postpone travel be particular about your inability to be able to self isolate for 2weeks if you get on board and attach an email of deferment from the university. OR You can still travel but be ready to be quarantined by the government for 14days as you will be deemed not to be able to self isolate as a new resident in Australia. You would only have a problem at entry in July if the department is not aware of you deferment decisions. As long as they have your notice and acknowledge your decision through email, you have nothing to worry, you can as well print your email correspondence with the home affairs and that will be a proof at entry point in July. |

justwise: I would not had made a post if i had been notified or these your concerns had been stated before or after deleting my posts. It will be cowardice to keep quite after i had noticed. Yes, my intentions are genuine and i was taking the risk of making and confirming payments first over here, just like i had done for 2 poeple already through this forum and both kept to agreements. I tend to believe no student would want to risk their application process by not keeping to their own part of bargain, as it is easier for me to report and reclaim any transaction with proof of payments over here. I have been in the shoes before and i know what 1naira difference to $1 can mean to someone who is using his entire family life savings to travel out. My offer was exactly what i would get by using an agent to send money to Nigeria, hence i wasnt gaining or loosing anything, but in turn a total stranger can save some money and get faster payment confirmation. I hereby retract those posts even though deleted, and i caese to pay bills for anyone from this forum henceforth. It is a faceless forum with real people. A little trust in humanity will make the world a better place. 6 Likes |

@justwise and Admins. I have just discovered that my posts to assist prospective students pay bills were deleted by God knows who. I should be informed if any posts violates the forum's regulations and should be adviced to take it down myself if it does. I find it very funny because this is suppose to be a DIY and helpful forum. Posts to genuinely and personally help students pay their bills at a lesser exchange rate are deleted, but posts which advertise and recommends individual website with higher rate cost are left alone. The fact that the sponsors and promoters of a payment gateway website have infiltrated this forum does not mean we forget the exact basis for which the forum was created. Live and let Live. |
