With all these luggage, you clearly activated your Plan "B" as advised by Pastor Adefarasin. Una don zoom off this jaguda country be that oo. May that land of Milk and Honey beautify your family. Amen! Lianna2020: LANDING GIST
My flight was scheduled for 10:55 pm on Sunday. We all went to the airport by 2:00pm because we had excess luggage and also to check in on time. At 2, there wasn’t any crowd, we had 23kg into ten places (entitled to just 6 bags at 23kg) and paid 300k for extra luggage.
Things requested for at Nigerian airport: 1. Arrive can 2. Stamped visas 3. Enrollment letter 4. Covid 19 test
We finished all checks around 5:pm. Please no matter the time for your flight, try and get to the airport early because the crowd from five ehn!, I wouldn’t have meet up if I went late.
Tickets were printed out, yellow card given as well and passport scanned.
I said final goodbyes to my in-laws around eight and got checked in.
We used Lufthansa, we left 10:55pm and got to Frankfurt after 6 hours. We had layover of about six hours.
Things asked at Frankfurt by immigration.
1. Arrive can 2. Visas 3. Covid test result 4. Quarantine plan (14 days at Airbnb)
Our flight to Vancouver moved around 1:35pm on Monday (Germany time). It was the longest ten hours of my life. I never knew traveling with an active baby was this hard. They served their usual Leaves but I no gree chop am because my turkey and meat Dey my bag Dey wait me(lol).
We got to Vancouver around 14:35(Vancouver time )on Monday . I filled arrival form on the system and moved to immigration.
At immigration in Vancouver, no cue or crowd at all. Things asked by immigration: 1. Stamped visas of hubby , I and baby. 2. Hubby’s letter of authorization (the letter sent after your pp has been stamped ).
His work permit and baby’s visit visa was printed. No need for mine as i already had my study permit since July . I waited for welcome to Canada and nothing ,yet again.
I and hubby got tested for covid at the airport and self test kit given for day eight test.
We moved to claim luggages(every bag complete ) there after entered taxi to our Airbnb for quarantine.
I wish everyone all the best. Amen 7 Likes |

Bayelsa and Niger states issues Int'l passports within 3-4hrs of the application. Always target the least traveling states. It is well with us all NLders. Ketima:
Really passport issuance in Nigeria na who you know. I believe there is always passport available but na survival of the highest bidder ( who pays highest) and who you know it the system. I stand to be corrected though. |

Hi, did you apply while in Nigeria or China? Congratulations AiLiya: My application in details-
Application Submitted - 09 April 2021 ( First time applicant) Biometrics request - 10 April 2021 Biometrics done - 14 April 2021 NSE request - normal route Upfront Medicals : 01 July 2021. Medicals passed: 12 July 2021 Eligibility Started : 07 August 2021 PPR : 09 September 2021
Fanshawe College, deferred to January and awaiting my new LOA.
Documents submitted All forms duly filled
Proof of financials- Letter of funding normal bank statement from my dad Dad’s passport data page Evaluation of landed properties and business goods
2 pages of LOE employment letter Bank statement of just the bank I receive salary from to show I am employed there. Nysc certificate Nysc posting and acceptance letter cause I continued with the firm after Nysc. Transcripts Waec certificate Undergraduate certificate Birth certificate Travel history cause I did my bachelors degree in China. Police certificate from Nigeria and China. (Police certificate from China took me like two months to get it. It was a whole lot of process and money. Cause I saw on the IRCC lagos consulate or embassy page that police certificate from country you lived in for more than 6 months is required. But maybe it wasn’t a requirement after all, I dunno. But I went through a lot to get it and finally submit it through web form).
My application was done in a rush to beat time cause when I applied, the IRCC website was saying 19 weeks for processing time. When I joined nairaland, I was seeing 8 weeks processing time so I got confused. After submitting my Police certificate via webform, people were advising not to wait to medical request, so I went to do mine. The wait was long. I nearly gave up… but August 7, on a Saturday morning I saw people were getting ghost updates on their profile. I went to check mine and I saw my eligibility had started. My hope and faith were restored. Another wait started… lol I was thinking after eligibility I’ll get feedback within a week or two but nah… it took a month! I sent webforms, emails, mailed some MPs too lol. Finally on Thursday no 9th of September it landed… all this while I was like when I get this PPR, I will dance ehn. Sometimes I practice the dance in front of the mirror but when it landed I was speechless.. I couldn’t even do my dance lol. I’m still grateful to God Almighty.

Malaria is transmissible bro. An infected anopheles during the bite, some portion of the already infected blood in its mid gut drips down through the proboscis into the uninfected person, hence, the uninfected blood gets attacked. It's no big deal OK. It has hindered my visa process sometime in Asia but it might not matter in your case. SOLUTION Please go get some Azithromycin a.k.a Zitromax/ CiproTab a.k.a Ciprofloxacin for typhoid, Artesunate for Malaria, ask the pharmacist to add some paracetamol and blood caps. After 5days you're SET. Though abroad you must have a doctors prescription but in Naija its easy. Hubmon360: I doubt it can as it's not a transmittable disease. |

From my 12yrs travel experience, YOU HAVE NO ISSUE since none of those drugs is considered a therapeutic stimulant/psychotropic. They're antibiotics and pain killer within therapeutic dosage. recxa: Hi guys, how do you guys travel with medication? I've been on medication for H. Pylori bacteria (caused ulcer) for two months now and have a month left to go. Just looking at the medicine makes me cringe cuz they might raise eyebrows. Do you have to declare these drugs
Ulcer drugs Amoxicillin 500mg for 2 weeks(twice daily) Clarithromycin 500.g for 2 weeks(twice daily) Omeprazole 40mg for 1 month(once daily)
Then I have azithromycin for sore throat and felvin with buscopan for menstrual cramps(I would faint without them)
I also have Panadol extra cuz I suffer from migraines. I have other supplements that I use for my migraines too: Magnesium 500mg for 90 days(but I've used from it), gingko biloba 90 days
I have cranberry extract supplement, my reload women multivitamin 30 days, vitamin D3,(90 days) Vitamin C 500mg for 1 month+, vitamin C 1000mg+15mg zinc effervescent tablets(like 8 tabs left).
I have day and night nurse for flu, and ibuprofen.
Seems like a lot lol
I don't have an original doctors note from the hospital I was diagnosed (for the bacteria or migraine) but I have the Rx note from the pharmacist I bought the antibiotics from (after I ran out of the ones provided by the hospital) including azithromycin, felvin and buscopan.
Oh and I have my allergy meds too (don't wanna be caught unawares lol)
What do you guys think? 1 Like |

Thank you so much Frankrobbn1. You're really amazing. I'm grateful. Remain blessed Frankrobbn1:
The economic ties can be in your home country while you apply from abroad. The letter of explanation should be centered on coming back to your home country to make profitable use of your assets and investments in Nigeria and nothing else. More so, if you don't have a valid study permit, work permit or a permanent resident of the country where you currently reside in overseas, you may have to return home to apply for your Canadian study visa.
It will end in praise |

Wonderful of you JustMellow. You've just tossed the coin with precision. I've just managed to get the registrar's official email and his sec's contact number. I've sent them a Request Letter to forward my Official Transcript to the U of M as necessary. Looking forward to hearing from them with the week, hopefully. Thanks and remain blessed. JustMellow:
Hello Johnmark247,
Without the transcript, U of M may not finalize the processing of your admission without an official transcript, or a tangible reason why it should be processed on the ground of issuing a "conditional admission" letter that needs fulfilling before course registration and/or class start.
Since the inability to get your official transcript is due to Covid-19 related obstructions, send screenshot evidence of the reach-out email sent to your graduate school coupled with an explanatory reason of school closure as the challenging factor hindering the accessibility of your official transcript.
It will be deliberated on by the graduate committee and may most likely be granted and considered for a conditional offer letter. Share the correspondence of the plea for a temporary "transcript" waiver with the international admissions office, your program coordinator, and department administrative secretary.
Best of Luck |

A bunch of thanks brother. Remain blessed. shupy:
Don't waste your time writing the exam. It is not an an essential requirement. If you're requested to submit one, just write a letter stating available dates for the exam goes way beyond the deadline. And that they should proceed with the processing of your application. NSE requirements didn't make any significant difference in the processing time for a lot of applicants. Just make sure you submit MyBankStatement certificate along with your application. 1 Like |

More so, is the IELTS a MUST for both NSE and VFS normal submissions or just for the NSE? Please gurus do advice.
