Ahmed Musa and

have been benched
against Catalonia on
Wednesday night, while
seven players from the
NPL will start.
MTNFootball.com
gathered that the NPL
starters will be led by
the ever-present Warri
Wolves stopper
Azubuike Egwuekwe as
Keshi runs the rule on
the players he will pick
for his final 23-man
squad to the 2013
AFCON.
The entire defence will
be manned by NPL stars
– goalkeeper Chigozie
Agbim, fullbacks
Solomon Kwambe and
Benjamin Francis as well
as central defenders
Egwuekwe and Godfrey
Oboabona.
The other players from
the local league on the
starting XI are Sunday
Mba and Ejike Uzoenyi,
both new signings for
Enugu Rangers.
The four foreign pros to
start are strikers
Brown Ideye and Bright
Dike and midfielders
Fegor Ogude and Ogenyi
Onazi.
“He wants to have
another look at these
players before he takes
a final decision on them
and that’s why the
first XI looks a bit like a
big gamble,” a top team
official explained to

dorothy111: I am a ManUtd fan, and I have so much respect for Messi but I do not like him. He is actually the best player on earth. I really wish someone can dismantle the present Bacerlona team, they are just too good.

Maybe, Man Shitty can buy Iniesta, and maybe Bayern can go for Xavi and if possible PSG or Anzhi can go for Messi. In recent time, teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan are known to buy best players from other teams, maybe it will be nice to do the same to Barcelona.
yeah u just wrote my mind, let them buy dis players from barca and we hear barca no more and as 4 messi i av said it severaly dat dis guy is just scoring because he was in barcelona and barca is already made team, if he is gud y is he afraid of going to another team, 4 example, ronaldo is gud and sure of himself dats y he move from man u to madrid and he still score goals, and even i had he we be moving from madrid at d end of dis season, and am sure if it was ronaldo dat was given dis offer he won't tink twice b4 accepting it, because he was sure and confidence in himself dat he can score many goals no matter any club he was and that is d definition of true football legend. No just a fluke dat scores only because he was in already made team.

SportsWhy Osaze Was excluded From super Eagles For afcon 2013 by Johnnoah1st(op): 9:44am On Dec 27, 2012
West Bromwich
Albion striker,
Osaze Odemwingie,
a sweetheart of
Nigerian football
back in the day,
was excluded from
the Super Eagles
team for the
African Cup of
Nations, AFCON
2013, because, as it
was revealed, of
the two demands
he asked from
team handlers.
The former Nigerian
player of the year
suggested that he
[Odemwingie] would
shuttle between
South Africa and
England during the
tournament , a top
official of the Nigerian
Football Federation
says. While the AFCON
is taking place in
South Africa, the
source said Osaze
wanted to be able
to play for both his
club and country
during the period of
the tournament by
travelling from one
place to the other
depending on the
schedule.
The official, who
preferred anonymity
so as not to be
dragged into a war of
words with Osaze
and the technical
crew, said that Osaze
was initially on Coach
Keshi's list for the
competition. He said
Osaze gave Keshi two
conditions for playing
for Nigeria during the
AFCON tournament.
"The player said his
wife is due for
delivery on January 9,
and would love to be
with her when she
gives birth," the
source said.
While the AFCON will
take place in South
Africa between
January 19 and
February 10, all
invited players are
expected to have
resumed camp by
the first week of
January .
The second reason
was the player's
insistence that he
wanted to shuttle
between South Africa
and England because
he has club
commitments,
according to the
source.
Osaze is a vital player
for his club who has
an ambition to qualify
for Europe in the
English Premier
League.
The official said Keshi
refused and
instead decided to
omit Odemwingie
from AFCON 2013.
Keshi said he wants
full control of the
players during the
AFCON games .
Keshi Osaze's
suggestion to shuttle
between London and
South Africa is not
new to Nigerian
football. The player
was probably just
trying to emulate his
coach, Keshi. During
the AFCON in Morocco
in 1988, under the
leadership of Paul
Hamilton, Keshi played
only two of five
games for Nigeria.
Keshi, one of the very
few Nigerian players
plying their trade in
Europe then, shuttled
between his Belgian
club and Morocco
during the competition
due to his club
commitments.
An angry Osaze,
perhaps feeling angry
the coach would not
allow him enjoy what
Keshi, as a player,
enjoyed, took to
twitter to react to his
exclusion from the
Eagles for AFCON
2013.
In several tweets on
Sunday, Osaze
expressed surprise
at his exclusion and
blasted both Keshi
and the NFF: " Keshi
has no footballing
reasons not to invite
me but is not saying
the truth. He is still in
my plans he said haha
coach u no dey my
plans."
Efforts to get Keshi
to react to this new
information were
unsuccessful as his
phone was switched
off. The gaffer had,
however, said earlier
that Osaze was
simply not in his plans
for the competition;
and, like other
dropped players,
would not be missed.
Other senior officials
of the NFF also
appealed not to be
quoted as they would
not want to be
dragged into the war
of words between
Osaze and the
football federation. Source: http://m.naij.com/news/18096.html

SportsDo Eagles Have enough fire power To drop Osaze, martins? by Johnnoah1st(op): 9:46am On Dec 26, 2012
Samm Audu asks whether the
Super Eagles could really
afford to be without two of
the country’s most prolific
strikers, Osaze Odemwingie
and Obafemi Martins, at the
2013 AFCON.
Between Osaze and Martins,
they have netted 27
international goals, but coach
Stephen Keshi has said he
will be fine without these two
strikers who have proved
themselves in the top flight
in Europe.
Keshi has considered the
likes of Sunday Mba, Ejike
Uzoenyi, Bright Dike, Uche
Kalu and the desperately
inconsistent Emmanuel
Emenike ahead of these
players for his preliminary
squad.
Mba is best remembered for
his brace against Liberia in a
February friendly in
Monrovia and ever since
then his goals have dried up.
Uzoenyi has struggled to
impress after the huge
promise he showed early in
Keshi’s year-long reign,
while US-based Dike may just
have done enough in the
recent friendly against
Venezuela to get another
recall, but no more.
Uche Kalu has done well in
his first season in the
Turkish second division from
Enyimba, but Kalu Uche has
done even more at the
higher Super Ligi but was not
considered.
Emenike has proved he
knows his way to goal in
both Turkey and Russia, but
in more than a dozen
appearances he has only
scored a goal in a green-
white-green shirt.
So, what do Osaze and
Martins bring to a team that
they ought to be on the flight
to South Africa next month?
Osaze has for a third
season running proved his
class in the English Premier
League, one of the top
leagues in world football. He
has shown versatility
upfront as he could play as
top striker, behind the top
man or even on the flanks,
while putting in a decent
defensive shift.
Officials have been most
uncomfortable with his
outspokenness, which again
came to fore this past
weekend via his Twitter
handle.
Keshi has insisted that his
bust-up with the West
Bromwich striker in Rwanda
in February is in the past,
but like the player said on
Twitter it does not seem so
because if it were for football
reason, he would be in South
Africa.
‘Obagoal’, on the other
hand, has rediscovered his
killer instincts after he
seemed all washed up while
at Russian club Rubin Kazan.
But after he took a huge pay
cut to move to Spain, Martins
is again banging in the goals
on a regular basis.
He failed to take his chance
in last month’s friendly
against Venezuela, but after
what he has produced for
the country, he ought to
have been at least called up
to Faro for him to either
bomb again or be on his way
to his fourth AFCON.
In a year in charge of the
Eagles, Keshi has recorded
six wins, six draws and two
losses even though half of
his victories were in
friendlies.
His team have scored 21
goals in 14 matches, while a
further breakdown shows
that 12 of these goals were
from competitive games
including the 6-1 routing of
Liberia in Calabar.
This clearly showed that
before the big win against
the Lone Star, Keshi’s team
have struggled to score
goals in competitive matches.
And it is most likely that in
South Africa against stronger
opposition the goals may be
more difficult to come by.
Nigeria have struggled to
score goals at their last two
Nations Cups. In 2008, they
managed only three goals in
four matches, while two
years later in Angola, they
scored six goals in as many
matches in open play.
With the array of attacking
options at their disposal,
Nigeria ought not to struggle
in front of goal not just at
the AFCON but at any major
competition.
Keshi has made it very clear
that he picked his Eagles on
his own terms and so it
would be in his best interest
that he flies high with them in
South Africa.

Or were dey not there when we coundn't even beat rwanda? Or were dey not there wen we draw wit guninea in abuja? and do dis player play in our qualifier matches? U don't expect keshi to ommite d name of players dat struggle 4 qualifier and expect him to name dose players dat are 2 big to play qualifiers, or if it was u we u be happy if u av been working 4 sometin since and it comes to where u wanna enjoy it and u were ommited? And dis guys are our future stars or can we still rely on ozase as a striker 4 2014 world cup? D anwser is NO. And if keshi omitte dos strikers who work 4 qualifier next time if dey were called dey won't play wit dere heart again cus dey we believe dat even if dey qualify dey may not pick dem. And u were just underating our squard we have a very gud squard dat can beat any team, our striking force is already complete, wit musa and moses on wing and wit ik uche/ideye/emunike i don't think dere is any team we can't beat. Our defence is only d problem. And am sensing dat Nigeria we suprise every body in dis afcon.
