The Budget Office DG said that the instruction to suspend the collection hasn't been communicated to the Ministry of Finance as it was only seen on the media. So this sensationalist headline is quite unnecessary.

He further said that if the suspension is approved, then they will need to revise the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) which is being reviewed by the National Assembly, as it would mean that the projected revenue for 2023 will drop and that there will be need to either borrow to fund the gap in revenue or they will have to cut down on expenditures.

Personally, I am surprised with the suspension by President Buhari. We need to boost government revenues and taxation is one of the fastest ways to achieving this. Our data in Nigeria is quite cheap compared to other nations of our development category.

We need to fix things fast.

Lol... This is a fast growing industry. More taxes will likely stunt the growth of the industry. Data need to be cheaper to encourage education and productivity of our teeming population. And this is same tax that will be looted.

2023, is about rescuing the soul of Nigeria. If you Vote for APC/PDP note that same security architecture will be maintained. I’m sure one of the primary aim of these projects was to ensure Anambra state is the go to state for medical tourism? Laudable though. However, what is the current state of these projects?

People from Delta, Edo, Enugu, Imo etc do go to Anambra to see specialists in some of their hospitals.

Till today Anambra is the only state where open heart surgery is performed in South South and South East courtesy of Peter Obi.

My cousin was going from Asaba to Onitsha to see a specialist when he had an abdominal pain that had troubled him for years.

I laugh when people talk down on Anambra. All the bikes used in South South and South East are coupled in Nnewi.

Land use act transferred land ownership to the state government and it's like that everywhere. Even at that any land with proper title document can't just be taken by the state government without compensation.

Please come to Ago/Festac and see houses that can match what you have in Banana Island. Come and see well planned estates fully owned by Igbos with no single government contribution. A fully functional estate. Igbos are the only ones buying lands on that Axis for #40M per plot

Igbos deserve everything they get from Lagos because they work and contribute meaningfully to the state.

How many Westerner travel to the East to establish anything? The first Mayor of Enugu in 1956 was Umaru Altine a core Northern. It was the Igbos that elected him.
