Kashim Shettima, vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says the country needs a presidential candidate that is focused on promoting progress. Speaking on Thursday at the 96th anniversary celebration of the Yoruba Tennis Club in Ikoyi, Lagos state, Shettima said Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the APC, is the only candidate that has the qualities that the country needs. The vice-presidential candidate said Tinubu has a dose of hospitality that the late Sani Abacha, a former military ruler, had, and the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to get things done. “We are convinced that the general political situation in Nigeria needs the competencies of a detribalised and committed Nigerian like Tinubu to re-ignite the requisite values that can help us rededicate ourselves and all Nigerians to collectively tackle the challenges of national cohesion,” NAN quoted him as saying. “In 2023, we need a Nigerian leader that has the humility and generosity of spirit of the likes of general Yakubu Gowon. We need a leader that has abnegation and commitment of Muhammadu Buhari. “We need a leader that has the work ethic and broadmindedness of an Olusegun Obasanjo. We need a leader that has the situational pragmatism and understanding of Nigeria’s security, the maradonic skill of Ibrahim Babangida. “We need a leader with a vision and sense of responsibility and commitment, and somebody who understands the national title of the nation of an Abdulsalami Abubakar, and in our systemic circumstances, we need a leader with a dose of the hospitality of a Sani Abacha. “We need a leader with the intellectual acumen, with the action to catapult this nation to a higher pedestrian. We need a leader who is not bound by regional or religious sentiment. “We need a leader that has established such records of excellence and commitment to good governance. There is no one, with all due respect, that fits this better than Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.” On his part, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, said Tinubu remains the most qualified candidate with the capacity to lead Nigeria. “We need a leader with the intellectual acumen, with the action to catapult this nation to a higher pedestrian. We need a leader who is not bound by regional or religious sentiment. Source: https://www.thecable.ng/shettima-nigeria-needs-abachas-hospitality-buharis-commitment-tinubu-has-these-qualities/amp

This is really sad. Thought Seun was a reasonable fellow. Trying so hard to ignite ethnic crisis between Igbos and Northerners but to what end? This division you guys are pushing I hope y'all live long enough to witness it. |
EroticJane:Please educate me Ma'am. Better learn to learn and not come out to argue unnecessarily. |
EroticJane:Lol... Relax. Bitcoin is valueless? Instead of assuming just try to learn. Crypto is open source meaning every transaction is out there. If bitcoin is valueless why is Tesla accepting it for their cars? Or you get sense pass Elon Musk? Abi you're more informed about crypto than Sequoia capital with over $600M in crypto fund, or Pantera capital with over $1.3Billion in crypto fund or Animoca brand valued at $5.9Billion. I have done a $21000 transaction to a friend in US using BNB smartchain. I paid less than $1 in gas fees. This transaction would have cost me more than $400 through the banking system. If you don't see the value then I give up on you. |
SavageResponse:Well... That's your understanding. Someone once made a transaction of $40M using bitcoin and ended up paying less than $5 in transaction fees. Now, can you compare the amount he would have paid going through the normal banking system? And not to talk about the regulations he has to adhere to. If this is not value I don't what what else is value to you |
inoki247:Well... Crypto is the future of finance. Get comfortable with it. |
inoki247:You don't know Ethereum? Then how do you buy Usdt and Usdc? |
Hopefully, this leads to mass adoption of crypto currency. If you're still on the sideline don't stay there for too long unless you want to be left behind. Crypto is the future of finance. |
This has always been a deliberate attempt to push blames to the previous administrations forgetting that it's same reason you were voted into office to make necessary changes. Today he's no more fighting corruption. With Accountant general stealing about #109 Billion I guess corruption won the fight. |

He can't be in two places at same time. One must give way. Peter Obi is the real deal |
Throwback:This division you guys are clamouring for I hope you live long to witness it ooo |

rusher14:This news report makes no sense. Are they saying that pension payment in Anambra is #15M per annum? #300M divided by 20years is #15M per annum. This certainly have nothing to do with Peter Obi. For the fact that he cleared over 30 Billion Naira outstanding absolves him of anything concerning this issue. https://www.google.com/amp/s/dailypost.ng/2013/11/08/governor-obi-clears-arrears-of-pension-gratuities/%3famp=1

tonyuny12:Did you read the article? According to Ugozor, “The administration of Obiano owed us arrears and left, but we met the current governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, concerning the problems of all the pensioners in the state, and the matter is now before the House of Assembly. “We have met the lawmakers twice and they have also invited the ministry concerned Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, but officials of the ministry have refused to honour the invitation. Please just read. I repeat the writer of this article was just trying to be mischievous with the sensational title. How can #300M be 20years Gratuity? https://www.google.com/amp/s/dailypost.ng/2013/11/08/governor-obi-clears-arrears-of-pension-gratuities/%3famp=1 Someone cleared over 30 Billion Naira outstanding. Then it's #300M that will be come an issue. #300M divided by 20years is #15M annually. Baba use your brain abeg

God bless you for this. These brown envelope journalists are just shameless. |
tonyuny12:20years gratuity can not be #300M. This is just a poorly written report by Vanguard. |

You guys are fighting so hard to find something against Peter Obi. |
Zydote:You're not being truthful yourself. That message Obi had to address has been flying around for months. I don't think there's any Nigerian on WhatsApp that is yet to receive such a broadcast. If you claim it was not from Tinubu's camp why didn't they put a message out as a disclaimer? Before you cry about Peter Obi being tribalistic first address the comment from Shettima on national TV that Obi can only be President of Igboland and Remi Tinubu threatening Igbos with packing. I don't know how tribalistic one can get if we're to go by your argument. None of you addressed these issues. But one thing I will always tell people especially those that carry tribalism on their head. You will never have a separate market where you will buy food cheap. You will never have a separate road for only you to pass. If Kidnappers meet you on the high way they will not release you because you're Yoruba or Hausa. If you're looking for Visa you will not be granted visa based on your tribe. Nigeria must stand before tribe. |

I’m wondering on what basis is APC campaigning to retain power? I guess until we’re all dead. Removing Jonathan to bring in Buhari was a huge mistake. |
Lol... Even Tinubu supporters know the man is corruption personified. There's no known company that can be associated with Tinubu but he owns private jets and claims to be richer than Osun state. The man is a political jobber. Investing in elections and expecting pay back is his stock in trade aside from the drug dealing allegations. How his supporters are able to compare him with a Peter Obi, a former chairman of Fidelity Bank and director in 4 banks and former board chairman of securities and exchange commission same position once held by Dangote is just beyond partisan politics. Total stupidity. |

She has a right to say what she said. I noticed White people are already trying to rewrite history that the queen supported self governance of colonies under the British empire. Someone that transitioned colonialism through commonwealth nations and made herself the life president.
