Ever since Korede Bello released his chart topping song, Godwin, encomiums have continuously poured in for the song. TATTLES even said the song “would be around for a long, long time.” However, not everyone feels so strongly about the video. Funke Edidi of tooxclusive.com shares her opinion. “Since the release of Korede Bello’s Godwin video, it’s been trailed with mixed reactions mostly positive. However, while most of y’all choose to stay in this safe, happy bubble and give Korede and his team pats on their backs, there were certain things I found curious (I’m trying to be polite here), as such this article will address just that. If there’s such a term as ‘over cuteness’, then, there was an overdose of it in this video. I’m of the opinion that Korede needs to lose his cute/innocent boy next door image and pull a Justin Bieber on us in the nearest future. Back to the matter, Adasa Cookey is actually one of the directors I’ve been rooting for but this? Obviously an HD picture, and from what I heard, the label didn’t have to spend money thanks to sponsorship from Access Bank and Lekki Gardens. It’s not as if it was terrible storytelling, truth is, it was a really good visual translation of the song, also good use of costume, but there were just a couple of things terribly lacking in the video, and more importantly few things we could have done without. 1.Bovi Everybody loves Bovi, but as is typical of the Nigerian entertainment industry we tend to overdo things. I mean after watching the ‘Hour of Victory’ flick, I did laugh a bit. Plus it added an extra 40 seconds (or more) to the 3minutes+ video, however it was as unnecessary as the ‘k’ in knee, and if we are being honest here we’ve seen Bovi do better. 2.That Dance At first when I saw the dance I simply assumed our dear Korede Bello was on the verge of an epileptic fit, (I mean it could have been part of the story line…) What was that? Seriously? I literally cringed every time Korede did the very weird ….I don’t even know what to call it! As for DonJazzy, don’t be an agbaya please. I’ve heard and read various comments on that dance and none of it fit for public consumption so I’ll just keep them to myself. I get that Korede isn’t that much of a performer. I mean I’ve watched him struggle to actually get into character on stage and in videos except maybe Dorobucci where he actually had to act cute so that didn’t prove to be too much trouble. But if you really had to do a dance (or shall I call it jig?) try and get a choreographer to show you some moves so you don’t end up looking like a Fulani cultural dancer without his stick. Just don’t do that ever again! On the flip side, his attempt at Igbo dance was pretty impressive. 3.He winked, again! Someone needs to tell Korede to stop with his winks! It was cute in Dorobucci video, it was getting a little bit worrying in the Adaobi video, now it’s just plain annoying!! Please retire the wink!! I’d describe Godwin as an energetic song with a feel-good nature that inspires this feeling of gratitude and makes you want to do a little jig, sadly watching this video will almost bring all that to a screeching halt. A lady has been arrested by the police after she reportedly lured Faith (not real name), 14, to a hotel, where a man raped her. School teacher caught raping a minor (Getty) Nnena Okoro, 25, has been arrested by the police after she reportedly lured Faith (not real name), 14, to a hotel, where a man raped her. Nnena, who was Faith's confidant lives in Sumoratu Estate, off Ojo Road, Lagos State, where the victim resides. It was gathered that on the noon of May 16, when the girl’s aunt, with whom she lives, was not around, Nnena approached her and requested that she accompanied her to the Barracks area to buy mangoes. It was learnt that Nnena rejected the mangoes available in the area and went to Wowo, a nearby street, where the hotel was located. It was gathered that Okoro, who had allegedly collected an undisclosed amount from the fleeing rapist, lured Faith into a room in the hotel and shut the door. Faith said her mouth was covered, as Nnena aided the man to rape her. She narrated: “Aunty Nnena (Okoro) said I should follow her to buy mangoes in Barracks Lane. She did not like the mangoes they had there and she said we should go to Ojo Road. We went to a hotel and met a man, who she called her friend. Aunty Nnena told me to enter a room. Suddenly, both of them dragged me to the bed. Nnena held my hand and covered my mouth with a cloth. The man pulled off my trousers and raped me. He left the hotel immediately he finished doing it and said he had paid Aunty Nnena. “ went outside crying. It was one woman around the area that helped to clean the blood coming out from my private parts when she saw me. She later took me to the Layeni Police Station.” In her statement to the police, Nnena, who hails from Abia State, confessed to taking the girl to the hotel. She denied coercing the victim into the act and claimed that she had never met the man prior to the incident. She said, “Faith is my friend. On the fateful day, we both went to buy mangoes on Ojo Road. On getting to a hotel at Tolu, one man called her. They both discussed and the man paid N500 to the hotel attendant and they entered the room. I later left them inside the room to ease myself. It was when I came back that she told me that she was raped. I did not know that she was a virgin. We have never discussed anything like that before. Her pants were stained with blood. I have never seen the man before that day, but I can recognise him if I see him again.” It was learnt that Okoro had been arraigned before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court on two counts bordering on the crime, while the police said they had launched a manhunt for the suspect. The charges read, “That you, Nnena Okoro, and one other male, now at large, on May 16, 2015, at about 3.20pm, at Graziela Hotel on Wowo Street, Tolu, Ajegunle, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire to commit felony to wit; defilement, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011. “That you, Nnena Okoro, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did hold the hands of 14-year-old Faith to the bed and allowed one other man at large to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.” The accused pleaded not guilty. A police prosecutor, ASP Olusoji Ojaokomo, said a medical test conducted on the girl revealed that her hymen had been ruptured. The defendant’s counsel pleaded with the court to grant bail to his client. The presiding m agistrate, Mr. P.A. Adekomaya, admitted her to bail in the sum of N100,000. He adjourned the case till June 22, 2015. pulse.ng/gist/pay-per-rape-lady-aids-rapist-against-14-yr-old-after-getting-paid-id3884418.html |

I can't help but notice the rate at which topics relating to mouth odour hits the front page recently. From miss handbagss' experience (here) to another whose marriage is at the verge of going downhill because of lack of kissing (here) Unlike the 'oyibos' with lots of veggies in their diet, we consume meals that have the tendency of getting stuck in our teeth. nkwobi, isi ewu, peppered kanda, suya... you know the rest. If the food particles are left unremoved, they result to the unbearable noisomeness that comes forth from some folks' bucal cavity. Though we sometimes make do with toothpick which in most cases don't finish the job. So before you complain of your spouse being stingy with kisses or stylishly covers his/her nose during pillow talks, the question now is how often do you floss?
