Car Talk / Re: New Year Gift From Govt : Tokunbo Cars To Cost More From January 1 by jojoki: 10:29pm On Dec 31, 2014
kennaustine:
^^^ Whats really wrong with y'all APC propagandist? The increase in tariffs for imported automobile is to encourage local automobile manufacturers. Common SS2 Economics student will tell you that one way of encouraging local production is increasing import tariffs. That's called Import Substitution Strategy. Aren't you ashamed that Nigeria has become a dumping ground for every kind of crap produced in other climes? We have Innoson, PAN, ANNAMCO, VON, Nissan and other automobile manufacturers in Nigeria and we know that government is trying to revitalize them so as to boosts our economy. Yet you criticize this one very good move government makes to see to its realization. Many of these imported cars have been used for above five years and then they're moved to Nigeria for dumping, after which when you buy, you'll use for no more than three years and the money u would have spent on repairs and maintenance may have exceeded the original cost. Some brand new Innoson cars go for 1.5m and they're trying to beat it down to 1m. So which is better ; buying a brand new car for 1.5m and enjoying it for 3 to 4 years without excessive repair cost or buying a tokie car for 800thousand and spending over 500thousand on repairs in 3 years. A relation of mine has spent about 300th on repairs on a tokie car he bought for about 800th and the car IS STILL HAVING ISSUES. Wont it have been better to just buy a brand new made-in-Nigeria car and save yourself some unecessary stress. Why are we so used to cheap craps and worthless articles? Is that what APC wants for us? SMH. Which way Nigeria? #SeeBeyondPropaganda

I pity your condition, I don't wish to use a bad words 4 u coz its a new years coming but nevertheless

There is God oooo

Looking 4ward to February to use my vote my power to make a positive

Is left for him to campaign to toilet diggers. Will this ever change anything? Because the fact still remain GEJ AND SAMBO TILL 2019. I heard he's a pastor, instead of him to go and face his call as God servant, he dream of becoming nigeria vp. This boat will keep sailing till 2019 no matter what.
God bless nigeria
God bless Gej
God bless even the enemies of Gej.

Bro, ain't you tired of this present Government that are deceiving us?

We all want a better Nigeria where Soldiers won't be blocking road every 3km.

A Nigeria where Nigeria Navy, Police & Army can secure our oil pipe lines NOT Militant

A Nigeria that can refine her oil within the country and export finished product

A country where agriculture will be our major revenue with LESS dependent on crude oil.

Please sentiment apart, you vote and mine may bring the CHANGE we all dream.

lets vote wisely for the sake of our children!

How can Buhari be change?

He was part of the group coup plotting against gowon , then shagari

If u want change vote independent parties other than apc or pdp

Buhari is messenger of the Hausa Fulani elite who r thirsty for power but the problem is they had power for over 36 years and Nigeria was a complete mess for it

You spoke well Bro, but mind you the main political parties we have at the moment are PDP & APC and out of the two parties I will rather take my chance with APC.

I need a President that can take bold decision with no fear or favour not minding Ethnicity or religion of who ever involves in Insurgency or corruption.

I love to c a country where we can a move around without fear of being bombed.

I love to c a country that will be less dependent on crude oil or rather invest well on agriculture.

I love to c a country where corrupt people won't be celebrated or given a presidential pardon.

Good bless Nigeria!

They thought by tarnishing the image of GEJ online, they will win. They're in for a big surprise. There's no doubt in my mind that Boko haram is a religious/political tool to frustrate and make Nigeria ungovernable for GEJ so that power (Their Birthright) will return to the north.
All those behind Boko haram shall pay for their sins.

Bros, I used to be a strong supporter of GEJ but the event lately really made me to do a U-turn, how can u have a president that give excuses for his failures? You can't be doing things negatively and expect a positive result.

APC are so bless with great personalities, Professor Osinbajo is a man of repute and he will be an asset to the development of this nation.

For God so loved Nigeria that he spared the life of Gen. Buhari till 2015, that who so ever desires progress and Votes for him may not regret but experience the true meaning of leadership where security, food, employment, zero corruption, transparency and infrastructural development prevails.
The number one problem facing Nigeria today is corruption! Fix corruption, and you fix Nigeria. Jonathan has only encouraged and promoted corruption. The ONLY person that is fearless and would ruthlessly cleans this country is General Mohammadu Buhari... Those who hate him have no idea why they do...he remains the most incorruptible ... Fearless... Patriotic and principled leadership figure remaining in Nigeria today. Nigeria may not be able to have the likes of Buhari in another 50years time.
Is only a fool that will continue to do things the same way and expect a different result, So Let's Make The Right Choice.
