Hi guys
This platform was very helpful to me during my application period last year. I applied May last for study permit and my application was approved by November. It was a long waiting period but I thank God that it all ended in praise. I am presently in Ontario with my 2 kids. I want to encourage those still waiting for PPR’ no 2 application is treated the same ‘ do your best and leave the rest for God.

You can use your vehicle let ur husband drive then let a police officer escort u until you get to seme border then u and the kids will find ur way from there but u can always enter with ur private car u will need to do some paper works there and definitely pay a bribe cos last time I went they wanted bribe cos we weren’t forthcoming they delayed us for 2/3hrs at seme border just leave early you will definitely encounter custom officers and some other
personnel’s on the road

I do not think this is necessary anymore ‘ as I already changed my mind from this route.
After my exams in 2 weeks ‘ and if my school still insist that no remote class next semester then I’l start thinking of an alternative route. For now let me rest my brain from over thinking .

Yesterday I decided to visit ABC transport at Mile2 to make inquiry about their Cotonou/Ghana route but I was told that they don’t ply the route for now. I went to mile2 ( close to the pedestrian bridge) I met some cars leaving to Cotonou,Lome and Ghana. They said Cotonou is 15k if I am going straight and Seme border is 4K and then I can take another car from Seme. My passport was going to be stamped at the ECOWAS office and Cotonou immigration. It was a good deal but I changed my mind about the whole trip when I saw the condition of the cars and knowing I’ll be going with 2 kids ages 6&3. My Cotonou mission is aborted for now. Infact I have decided to take a break from making any travel plan as I’ll be started exams next week. My exam will end on the 15th.. if nothing happens by then I can consider any other route. But a place I’ll definitely go by air not by road .

Who else is planning to travel to Cotonou tomorrow to begin the 14days quarantine?? That is my plan for now except I get a better option

So I just left wakanow ticketing office and they said they received a memo from their head office stating that study visa is not affected. But they told me it's only airlines that can give the actual type of visas that are affected or not. As such they're waiting for further information from the airlines plus people are supposed to fly tonight, that if the airlines allow people with study visa to board, we might have a chance.

I'm heading to Lufthansa and KLM office now if I can get direct info from them.

I just left KLM now. They are not flying to Canada . I was scheduled to travel tomorrow. I canceled my flight and they gave me a link for refund process or I go to their office in VI

I’m scheduled to fly tomorrow through klm but with this ban on Nigeria ‘ the only alternative is to go from Ghana but I will have to be there for @least 14 days before I’ll be qualified to travel to Canada. I think I am really considering this option. The downside is that no one knows what will happen in next 14days to Ghana also .

Now I am searching for flight o. I love flying with KLM BUT the 8hrs layover is too much as I am traveling with kids . Now I saw that United airlines have the shortest of 2 hrs . I am thinking of booking this but I am not sure if I’ll need a US transit visa for the stopover.. pls I need your expertise advice

Yes I did .. I already have an update . I guess you missed it . I called their customer care and I found out that I was to pay 9410 as their transmission fee has been increased. I was to pay same amount for my son too as I didn’t pay for him thinking that he’s a minor . I sent a friend in Abuja to help me do the swap in the envelope. I told her to remove the initial payment receipt and replace with the new ones I sent. I gave her authorization letter, the DHL receipt of the shipment and also a copy of my passport data as evidence to prove that I sent her. Luckily everything was done that same Monday with no additional cost at DHL office . It was sent to vfs on Tuesday’
My tracking yesterday shows it’s been processed by IRCC and returned to VFS .

Yes I was told so by customer care rep. It’s now 9,410

I have carefully gone through your post, did you include the PPR LETTERS? BECAUSE ON THE PPR LETTER THAT IS THE ONLY THING REQUESTED FOR ALONG WITH YOUR PASSPORT.

I included our PPR letters. Well I was able to get through with vfs customer care. I was told that I’ll have to pay transmission for my son as well. I also paid 8920 instead 9410 for transmission fee. I immediately did that and send to a friend in Abuja to help me retrieve the parcel in DHL office in Abuja ( I checked and I found out the documents was still in abj)
A friend helped to include the new receipt and then drop the parcel @ same DHL . I pray they deliver 2 morrow

It’s suppose to be in one envelope because he’s under you.

Did you pay 8920 and printed out the receipt?
Would be waiting for your response because it seems you had put your son different and yours in a different envelope.

Yes I placed both in same envelope. I paid the 8920 fee for just me and also included the receipt .The only thing I left out of his documents was the consent form. I didn’t sign the consent form for him and also didn’t pay the transmission fee for him . Could that be the reason?

I called DHL to know why but what they said that in most cases like that ‘ it could be that my documents was not complete …. I tried contacting vfs to know the right docs to send but Their phone has not been through.My younger son has a US passport.

You are correct on children below 5years not requiring testing. I'd suggest that you print out that document and even highlight the portion that mentions it for our overzealous brothers and sisters at the airport.

Please who knows how to get ETA for US citizen minor travelling with mother with canada student visa.I am flying lufthansa and i understand it is required.

I have tried to request on cic website and it didnt allow me to go further when i indicated country of citizenship is US.I also did webform.No response from IRCC .

You do not need ETA for him . I have minor traveling with me too and I was told same . I think all you need is his US passport.. I plan to also carry his birth certificates and Social security document. Don’t forget to also carry authorization letter from his dad

We also paid for two way courier , did you pay for two way courier?

I paid for 2 ways . I didn’t sign consent form for him since he didn’t do biometrics. I am not sure if I should do that for a 6 years

Hi Lianna. I wanted to ask about my 6 years old son passport stamping process . What I did was I only added his passport and approval letter along with my own documents In same envelope to Abuja.
I didn’t pay his transmission fee.
I tracked my parcel and I saw that it was rejected in Abuja . I really do not know why . I need you to advice me on the right document to send for his passport to be stamped ..thanks

Pls what is the right address for Abuja ? I did my biometrics in Lagos but I want it signed in Abuja. I just tracked my shipment and I saw that it was rejected because of the wrong address . Pls someone should help me with the right address ASAP

Big congrats Jojorito. Please at what point did the additional document section change from ‘the additional document submitted has been uploaded’ to ‘the additional submitted is being reviewed? Please can you share the timeline. Also, did you have to send emails and webforms to the visa office after you uploaded the additional documents requested to get approval? Thanks .. I got a message a week after uploading the documents and later during the day it changed to ‘we are reviewing the additional documents you provided “. . Then the next day it changed to “we have received the additional document you provided “ I still have this on my page.. I was initially worried because of this. I still sent the documents via webform

Through my Gcms notes I discovered that my marriage certificate and the kids birth certificates was not received. So they asked for that and also authorization letter from hubby to travel with the kids .

I have come back to give God all praise .

I applied with my son of 6 yrs.. Although I am traveling with my 2 kids but the younger 1 has a US passport so I only indicated in my SOP that I’ll be traveling with him. I did medicals with my 2 boys
I got a request for more documents in September.
And my Son’s PPR came in yesterday and mine just got in now.
I started online already since September as this semester is done online only.

Really unfair. I did biometric May 28th and eligibility has started since September and nothing since then. I'm in my 6th month. I'll wake up every morning expecting a good news and if I don't get one, my day I'll be ruined. This IRCC delay is in another level... Still, I hope on God for good news soon.

My situation is same as yours. I applied May also and I am yet to receive a decision. I pray it comes soon

I thought I was the last person standing . I applied May 14. My Kenyan coursemate applied on 15 May and she’s yet to receive PPR too. She said she was going to book appoint for this week to visit their over over there . If it works for her ‘ I think I may do same too
