OYAY: Nice update but methink you need to wrap up this story and limit the unnecessary details like opening doors for each other or serving indomie to dogs e.t.c in other to do away with rhetorics thereby not making the story to be dull or not too interesting...... Do have a lovely rest!!! I was about to type the same thing..... nice writing but sometimes the episode doesn't say much or seem to lead anywhere. 1 Like |

I think you should just put your feet down. You are his mother and there ares things you just won't accept.
You don't have to scream or be rude just a matter of fact discussion. Like I know you mean well but please never send my son out in the cold ever again never ...... He is a well behaved boy does well in school, I have never had any complains from anyone about him until you came. Please I beg you don't destroy the confidence and esteem I have built over the years.
He is our son let's discuss appropriate correction mechanism.
That's what I would do..... |

Benita27: House helps have made women of this era too lazy and disorganised. All i do is ponder on how our mothers were able to manage as many kids as 8/11 without maids?.
Since you know what your husband is like, it would be nice if you plan your activities nicely, is not about contributing financially to the running of your home cos i suppose he isn't interested in your money but for you to keep a decent home, which could be achieved by proper organisation, though, he should help with minor things like: be with the kids while you're doing your chores when is most pressing and he's free. Really? Anyway as per the bolded, this isn't true. Our mothers generation had help always. There is a cousin, aunty , uncle living with them to help them. Sometimes from the very day they got married. Stop trying to make the Op and ladies feel bad. |

tectonotimes: In Lagos State, and some other states, it is common to see Karate Academies where underage children train virtually on a daily basis. It is really necessary? What are the children using expertise in karate for? Is it to have sense of superiority over other children? What these children need is sound formative education. The money used in enrolling them in such academies can hire good private teachers. Folks, what do you think? http://www.tectono-business.com/2016/11/why-do-children-learn-karate-thesedays.html I am in my mid 30s, and I did Taekwondo in primary school twice a week. So its not a new thing. Karate is like any sport it builds discipline, self esteem and enhances kids physical and mental development. |

Marxxx: 9. A close knit family can save cost during this period. This is because items (clothes, shoes, wrist watches bags etc) used can be passed from a member to another toms shoe can be worn by Jerry if it is still in good shape. This will save you from buying an additional shoe on the short run. Also you may patronise not too expensive designers during this period eg Michael Kors, Zara etc Laughing at your not expensive list. |
