Amelian:That is deceitful. She signed a contract and there are consequences to that. I advice she gets someone else to rent the place, or pay the landlord the rent until he gets a new tenant. |
Skimpledawg:#TeamIvie I feel Rhema is connected to Janet (Jessica's friend) somehow. Remember when Janet said something about her new fine neighbor (I just think there is reason for that statement) I maybe wrong though.... Anyway Audrey is the author |
AudreyTimms:I am team Ivie, because I don't think Rhema is who she claim she is...... |
Really nice. Please please please don't kill Felix. |

kenny987: @op: Your friend married under Islamic rights has no recourse before any of the courts of superior record(High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court). She can only approach the Sharia Courts and show proof of her marriage under islamic rights. The courts of superior record only entertain petitions regarding marriages conducted under the Marriage Act.Do you have to be married to get child support in Nigeria? Even if you can't go to court for divorce or Alimony, what about child support? |
It depends on the church. I got married in an Anglican Church and my marriage certificate is exactly like the one given in the registry. But I was instructed to go to the registry before the wedding.... And also after the wedding you take the certificate to the registry. But if you don't have the Nigeria republic marriage certificate, please go to the registry. Note: Your colleague can still go to court no matter the type of wedding she had. |
Are you sure the parents are sending them? The kids may just be scamming you. |
codebrew85: @Nemesis, that's not true. You can actually change your status from tourist visa to student visa there in the US. You don't have to come back to your country to do that. Please see: www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=92f23e4d77d73210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=92f23e4d77d73210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRDYou can change your Status to F1, but to get a 'VISA', in order to travel in and out of USA with that status, you have to travel outside the US. So your status changes, you are legal, but in order to get a VISA which enables you to come back into the US in-case you travel, you have to leave the US to get a VISA. You cannot be issued a VISA inside the US. |
Getting a wedding planner might help, but there are stuffs you can't control. E.g Even if engagement is slated to start at 7am, what if the grooms family doesn't show up until 10am? Also having all events at the same place or very close to each other will help, because travelling to different venues maybe an be a hassle. |
1 of the benefit, is citizenship. If you have your baby in the USA, your baby is a US citizen. |
Yield: You are missing the bigger picture, lady. Of course, she can call her son, but calling him everyday is not healthy, like I've said. And it is not normal. She might as well pack her things and come and live in their home since she cannot do without her son. Ironically, your friend's MIL is coming to stay with them for a while too, she just might end up not leaving the house, poor wife. Men, love and respect your mother, always. But once you're married, be a man and have your own life. You have a wife. Communicate with her. When it comes to things pertaining your marriage, don't go running to your mama each time and doing what she says instead, while ignoring your wife's own point of view, like the husband in this case is doing. Mama's boy, pfftt, cut the damn cord already.I speak to my mum everyday sometimes twice a day. My husband doesn't complain although sometimes he doesn't understand it but never tells me to stop. Is this okay because I am a lady and not ok for a man? There is nothing wrong with being close to your mum. Being close doesn't automatically mean being in control, the fact that they are close doesn't translate to Mummy being in control (which is totally wrong). |
What happens, when the wife beats the husband? |

baby_123: Ile, so after 35years in the stomach the testicle can still have functioning cells? Enough to produce fluid that is sperm like? The way she described it is kind of like the guy was producing sperm. Maybe because of lack of experience she does not know if sperm is white or clear. Those may have rung alarm bells to someone that was a little experienced on first encounter. But do you think it is possible the doctors can do something? At least a second opinion? The white liquid is not the sperm, You can't see the spermatozoa, the are very tiny. The white u see the seminal fluid which usually contain the sperm and other stuff. Semen is produced and originates from the seminal vesicle, which is located in the pelvis. |
deols: actually, I am more interested in this view point. We are human beings and naturally selfish. Except a child is molded, or trained, they will grow up to be selfish. I doubt there is a way to instill discipline while letting a child ALWAYS have their way. E.g naturally no child wants to do any house chore, allowing the child to have his/her way means no house chores......... Also children are human beings and children, most of their wants have no sensible basis, e.g a child is bored in the store may suddenly want a toy which is a replica of one he/she already owns. A teenage girl may want an ugly shoe which she personally doesn't like but wants it because the most popular girls in sch has it. for this scenarios, letting the child has his/her way means letting them have it anyway despite .......... Also children always test boundaries, if none is set, they will keep pushing until they ask you for the moon. Do you have the moon to give? |
Steal: To take (the property of another) without right or permission. |
Fhemmmy: I am hearing this for the first time, very interestingIt's not new and not only in Nigeria. I went to Minnesota for a KPMG interview, and all expenses for the travel was paid for. They would have paid some/all of the relocation expenses, if I had accepted the job. |
Stop using baby oil it causes 'Ela', If you can, use only sheabutter or Adiagbon. Also from personal experience, Aveeno product seem to be better than Johnson's product. |
Elizabeth ope: Hi Nairalanders, I urgently need ur help, am engaged to a lawyer and we are supposed to get married middle of this year but unfortunately, He lost his maternal grand father and his mum's younger sister is also sick right now. He told me the wedding will have to be shifted till next year and I agreed to dat. I suggest we go do a Registry marriage pending the time dat we eventually do d church marriage but he refused saying it isn't legal to do a registry wedding and still do a church wedding as well, and since we intend doing a church wedding in d future, we shouldn't do a registry marriage. Pls I need ur opinion on this .He is right to some extent. If you guys do a registry wedding, you are MARRIED. Churches like mine won't do another wedding but will do a church blessing with all the ceremony, but without the rings. But most churches don't follow the led down procedure so, it depends on the church. |
I think its better to post in the family section, you may get better response there. |
nairaspace:Its been ages since I logged on nairaland, but I can't resist answering Ignorant nairaspace. Pls listen or better still google it. ORACLE is not a course u study in the University at any level. You take courses like database management the school can decide to use any of the numerous softwares available, (In whicle oracle is just an example though its popular). There are training centres that teach Oracle but hope you know u won't be awarded BSc Computer Science, the best you get is Orace certification. Have u ever heard of a course called Microsoft Word (except u are doing diploma in computer science) being taught in a university? ORACLE is not a course taught in the University. |
What about the people in Jos? Whats GEJ doing about them? Will it cost that much to handle the crisis there? |
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (Rev 1:6 KJV |
Just be sure you love the widow and not just that u pity her. I doubt marriage can work for pity sake. |
Hello All, I have read with interest all the post on the thread. My question maybe offpoint and i know I may be called ignorant but please bear with me. I thought there was a time in the catholic church where members were not allowed to read or be found with the scriptures and people were burnt if caught. (I read it somewhere a long time ago), and even now reading the bible is not mandated or encouraged. I also read somewhere that it was King james (i don't think he was catholic) that is responsible for the wild spread of the bible by translating it to english, N.B I am scared of the response to come. I better take cover. |
@nedujizzy hello its been a while. I ve been a little busy. Keep the fire burning. babyf:I think I do. Do u have a small stature? |
KunleOshob:Its not the fault of the child is it? and mind u solomon is not the child of adultery the child died. KunleOshob:Yes it difficult to believe what is not true. In christ theres neither male or female free or bound we will all be judged with the same measure. Matt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart at a woman not at another mans wife. Kunle, the truth God is written in our heart (except if it has been seared with hot iron ) no longer on tablets or paper if we search deep enough u will know whats right. |
My major bone of contention now is Ivie and Rhema. Ivie's coming back was already in the outline so don't blame me for that but i never knew i'd get to like and feel sorry for Rhema (i'm divulging stuff abi? I just feel like it
As i said earlier i am personally against polygamy, but i am yet to see where the bible forbids or condenms it in clear terms. Several great and blessed men of God in the bible were polygamist and God never condenmed, rebuke or punish them for this act. All the excuses you have been giving on the issue of polygamy don't hold any water and they lack substance.
