Athletes in other countries have corporate sponsors and govt aid. We leave our Athletes on their own

After Olympics we forget the Athletes, we don't organise competitions for them, the Athletes are too poor to undertake the expenses required to compete in international events

The same thing with Nigeria football league. No one knows when the league will start, no one cares if players have contracts, no one cares if the pitch is standard. All attention is on foreign league.

That's why you will see a player who has match on Saturday doing bus conductor till 10p.m on Friday. You will see players not training for a game only to show up on match day. The excuse is they gats to hustle
