PoliticsRe: I am not a Lion, A General, Goliath, Pharaoh Or A King - GEJ by JomoGbomo2(m): 4:52pm On Sep 26, 2011
A very unpresidential speech from an undeserving president.
PoliticsRe: You Wont See This In The Western Media About Libya! by JomoGbomo2(m): 8:28am On Sep 25, 2011
I just hope the Libyans have not been sold dummy, the only thing we can do is to wait and see what the new Libya looks like. I am 100% sure the imperialist has just given birth to a new country.
PoliticsRe: The Govt Is Wasting Nigeria’s Wealth - El Rufai by JomoGbomo2(m): 5:31pm On Sep 23, 2011
These are hard facts being poured out by El-Rufai, if they are true then we need to focus on how we can act together to mitigate against these extravagancies. Until we realise we are this dark hole together and work our way out then we might be there for a long time.

Lets focus on the message rather than kill the messenger.
PoliticsRe: Beaf , Where Are You?! by JomoGbomo2(m): 2:36pm On Aug 23, 2011
I have always known Beaf to be "smart" from his posts, it's also very apparent that he is just defending the GEJ govt without justifications, what I just couldn't believe is his lack of principle and truth. I am yet to come to terms that a promising young man like this could throw all away and dine with the pigs without remorse.

This guy will definitely get up one day and say he wants to lead too.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Legislators On 6 Weeks Recess For Ramadan - Good/Bad? by JomoGbomo2(m): 6:10pm On Aug 03, 2011
This is to buttress the fact that these guys do not have the country at heart, which of them will leave his personal job for six weeks and go for Ramadan or any other event.

Besides Ramadan is not for resting like someone point out earlier, it's for more acts of worship along with your day job. If anyone wants to put his personal annual leave at that period so be it not that the country will be put on hold.

Mediocres!!!

PoliticsRe: Reuben Abati: From Government Critic To Apologist by JomoGbomo2(m): 8:31pm On Jul 19, 2011
We live in a society where principle do not exist.
PoliticsRe: We Can’t Pay Minimum Wage Until 2012 –fg by JomoGbomo2(m): 8:06pm On Jul 19, 2011

Foreign AffairsRe: South Sudan Has Become The World's Newest Nation! by JomoGbomo2(m): 12:05pm On Jul 09, 2011
^^when you are ready to pay the price of indepence, those guys have been fighting for ages.

Btw IMO, it will be pretty difficult for any group to secede from the Nigerian state. Because our government is pro US/western hence such group won't get the required international support for separation.

It was easy for the south sudan because the original Sudan is a rebel state.
AutosRe: Wants A Faily Used Car Less Than 150k by JomoGbomo2(m): 9:12pm On Jul 05, 2011

PoliticsRe: An Ignorant Country That Was Never Ready For Change by JomoGbomo2(m): 11:58am On Jul 03, 2011
Nigerians had the chance to get things started once again, but out of tribal hatred and religious bigotry along with rigging we just felt we should continue this way. Nigerians do not really care about how a job should be carried out, we just care about the person, where is he from?

Jonathan will run for a second term in 2015 and there is a very high chance he will win unless we put aside all forms tribal and religious hatred and put up those things we share in common as a nation.

The Nigerian youth needs to see beyond our current divisions until then, no hope for this Country.
Christianity EtcRe: Cardinal Okogie Says No To Islamic Banking by JomoGbomo2(m): 11:10am On Jul 03, 2011
My only crux on this issue is why use the term "Islamic or Shariah" why not just float the non interest banking system.

I am an investor in this Jaiz bank, I bought my shares in 2004/5. That's way back before sanusi.
Christianity EtcRe: Cardinal Okogie Says No To Islamic Banking by JomoGbomo2(m): 11:02am On Jul 03, 2011
This thread is not about knowledge or monetary economics, it's about the christains not wanting anything from Islam, no matter how nice it seems.

PoliticsRe: The Northern Islamist Threat by JomoGbomo2(m): 7:06pm On Jun 20, 2011
I don't seem to understand the meaning of violence anymore,

What's the difference between violence from book haram, MEND and MASSOB.?

I think we should be looking at the big picture here.
PoliticsRe: Over Population: Nigeria's Balloning Problem by JomoGbomo2(m): 6:55pm On Jun 20, 2011
Over population is not in the top five of our problems as a nation.

1. Corruption
2. Corruption
3. Corruption
4. Illiteracy
5. Sentimental divides ( religious, ethnic, tribal e.t.c)
6. Poverty ( a derivative from above)

PoliticsRe: PDP-why We Wont Congratulate Tambuwal by JomoGbomo2(m): 9:24pm On Jun 08, 2011
GEJ and OBJ killed zoning, as far as I am concern, this is good for Nigeria can't say for PDP.

You don't change the rule in the middle of the game.

If the IGP can go and visit bankole during the week on a social ground as he claims, what stops these ones from doing same.
