PoliticsRe: Police Colleges Got N496 Million In 2012 by JomoGbomo2(m): 5:46pm On Jan 27, 2013
If we are actually in a "country" with a president that got "balls", HEADS should have been rolling right from the day the CLOWN visited the police college.
This issue is a perfect one for the president to make a huge political impact but like Mikel....he threw away the penalty.
PoliticsRe: Obama Backs Nigeria’s Intervention In Mali by JomoGbomo2(m): 5:31pm On Jan 27, 2013
No, the title should have been OBAMA ORDERS NIGERIA'S INTERVENTION IN MALI
Foreign AffairsRe: The Facts And Fallacies Of The War In Mali by JomoGbomo2(m): 11:55pm On Jan 25, 2013
The major challenge of this generation and the ones to follow is HISTORY.
History, is defined as the story as told by the winning civilization.
And to make matter worse, the MEDIA is also owned by the winning civilization, sometimes I wonder what will be written about these wars after many years.
The word islamist fundamentalist is the other title for the bad dog.
Anyways, there are at least 3 sides to to a story...., one side, the other side and the truth (which may never be known)
PoliticsRe: Pictures Of The Nigerian Police College, Ikeja by JomoGbomo2(m): 12:18am On Jan 17, 2013
SPEECHLESS......SPEECHLESS.... ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS.

I thought there is a ministry of police affairs.....speechless...this is inhuman!!!
Nairaland GeneralRe: Bye Bye Jarus! by JomoGbomo2(m): 12:35pm On Jan 02, 2013
free13: Nobody will miss him.
He was a first-class bigot.
I will miss Jarus.....he stands by what he believes and i like that!!!

I dont know what transpired back door after Seun apologised (for nor consulting him before going public...), however it seems he has made up his mind to leave after the hall of shame saga.

Nice one Jarus....Hope to meet you someday face to face.

cheers

IslamRe: Muslim Youth Corpers In Burqas (Picture) by JomoGbomo2(m): 7:58am On Dec 28, 2012
.....until we understand the word diversity, we will always be fighting in this country for no reason.

and who said they want to go for NYSC, they just have been coerced by the "law".

I respect them for being true to what they believe despite all odds in the world and I wonder how many of us do believe in anything to this level-that we will stand odd out of the crowd.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Do Fire Crackers Start Fire? Share Your Experience by JomoGbomo2(m): 12:19pm On Dec 27, 2012
Fireworks displays, when left in the hands of trained and properly accredited pyrotechnic professionals, can be quite spectacular, and can be great family entertainment, IF all safety measures are rigorously followed by the technicians. America's annual New Year and July 4th celebrations, and Guy Fawkes night in the UK, are examples of safe, authorized fireworks displays, when crowds gather to admire the breathtaking patterns of color lighting the night sky, hundreds of feet above the ground

For much of the Nigerian public, however, fireworks are equated with M80-style bangers that only explode with a deafening blast, do NOT light up the sky, and are so phucking loud that only the sick monkeys who throw them about can be certain that the explosions are not gunfire or grenade bursts. Anyone found tossing lit M80 bangers should be arrested and deep-sixed in jail, or, alternatively shot dead by the nearest Good Samaritan, under the pretext that the noise-makers were mistaken for armed robbers.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Apology To Jarus And OAM4J by JomoGbomo2(m): 10:00pm On Dec 24, 2012
Good move Seun, You have done the right thing.

I will suggest you follow it up with personal calls to them (individually) if you've not done that before.

I hope to see Jarus and OAM4J change their minds and continue moderating this section.

Well done guys

PoliticsRe: Adeboye Prays For Goodluck Jonathan 2012 by JomoGbomo2(m): 8:29am On Dec 15, 2012
I listened to this prayer from begining to the end and i realized something....

All the responsibility was placed on God and none on GEJ, the meaning of this is that if nothing (progress in the Nation) happens then its not his fault...

We cant grow without taking resposibilities!!!
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Spendthrift: Enough Is Enough - Punch Editorial by JomoGbomo2(m): 9:55pm On Dec 03, 2012
Another wake up call.....
it is very obvious now to all and sundry that we are in one-chance and prayers and wishes wont get us out it.

We need to do something and it needs to be fast cos at this rate, 2015 may just be too late
PoliticsRe: Jonathan; Citizenship Must Replace State Of Origin by JomoGbomo2(m): 8:57pm On Dec 01, 2012
Much as I support this idea I still believe GEJ and his cohorts may not fully understand what they are saying.

1. This means there will be no Niger Delta related favours and issues, you can be Hausa but will also be qualified for amnesty training in Dubai and allowee as long as you reside in the ND region. (We all will move to that region asap)

2. This will also naturally kill the federal character thingy in all our national issues

3. There will be no ELDS in our eduacation anymore, so as long as you are competitive enough in your state of choice, just move there couple of years before you are ready to apply

More to come..had to attend to smtin urgent
IslamRe: Shocker: GAY Mosque To Open In Paris by JomoGbomo2(m): 7:46pm On Dec 01, 2012
Very thoughtful of this guy...he wants to open a gay-friendly mosque, in a budhist temple (lol).

The fact is that you can't be a Muslim and be gay, the moment you choose to be gay you have left the fold of Islam and vice versa...THey mutually exclusive no matter how hard you try.

And as for the knowledge of Quran part that Ludovic has, anybody can get that with just about #2k..I, myself have huge knowledge of it but I'm not practising.

Wish him goodluck on his gay-friendly center.
PoliticsRe: Expose Tinubu And Fashola November 30, 2012 At 3:32 Am by JomoGbomo2(m): 2:44pm On Nov 30, 2012
These are huge allegations that needs to be proven.....but its only one side of the story.

But remember, every story has 3 sides!!!
PoliticsRe: Presidency Bans Ministers From Phone Calls During Meetings With GEJ by JomoGbomo2(m): 4:12am On Nov 15, 2012
If it takes about 3yrs (from acting president till now) for GEJ to summon courage (thru internal memo) to tell his ministers not to pick calls during meetings, it will take him 5 life-times to be able to fight corruption.

I won't be surprise if they play with their ipad and galaxy tab during d meetings.

The unpresidential President!
PoliticsRe: Dangote's Committee Raises N11bn For Flood Victims by JomoGbomo2(m): 3:27pm On Nov 09, 2012
On this issue that International and Local Oil Companies did not make any donations, That is not correct, most of those companies made significant donations through NEMA and you dont expect them to double dip for the same cause.
PoliticsRe: Who Is Capable Of Leading Nigeria Now?: Your Opinion by JomoGbomo2(m): 3:43pm On Nov 05, 2012
...........The question is not who, I think it should rather be: Are Nigerians ready to be liberated?
PoliticsRe: The Average IQ Of Nigeria Is 69 by JomoGbomo2(m): 9:23am On Oct 27, 2012
I totally agree with the result of this research, I even tend to think the 69 "AVERAGE" IQ score is a bit high for Nigerians considering how we live our lives. Don't loose the word "AVERAGE",

This point to the fact that our no.1 Problem in this not corruption but foolishness/stupidity, and this does not apply to our "rulers" only, we the "ruled" show even more traits of that.

My take is we need to start thinkin collectively on how to improve our lives economically, socially and if possible morally together. Our criteria for electing our leaders should be very rational and devoid of selfish bigotry motives.

PS: if you er reading this, you most probably have a higher IQ than 69 (though some pples post here may prove me wrong).
PoliticsRe: NL Monthly Political Debate by JomoGbomo2(m): 1:17pm On Oct 08, 2012
@Gbawe, nice idea you brought up there but how identify them, moreover there may be paucity of their knowledge in the topics being debated, especially when it comes to specific about Nigeria and her politics.

if we/the mods can handle those challenges then its fine by me.
PoliticsRe: NL Monthly Political Debate by JomoGbomo2(m): 11:00am On Oct 08, 2012
This is a welcome idea and i believe it will create a more friendly environment for us to share our views on our current political landscape.

And as a way to contribute, I will like nominate myself as a Judge in the first Debate session.

PoliticsRe: Achebe's Civil War Memoir's Invitation For Fresh War — CPC by JomoGbomo2(m): 3:51pm On Oct 07, 2012
CHINUA ACHEBE and other Ndigbo, GROW UP and Move on, you declared a war not family reunion, so don't expect to be fed by your enemy.

The war is over, lets stop whining over what has happened based on our common over zealousness. Lets move on and grow together.
PoliticsRe: List Of Nigerians Shortlisted For National Honours by JomoGbomo2(m): 11:56am On Sep 11, 2012
Maybe the FG should publish the criteria for getting a national award if any, and the things those on the list have done to be on the award list.

....If they don't have any idea of how it is done, they should spare sometime to watch CNN heroes.
PoliticsRe: Why Barth Nnaji Resigned: Conflict Of Interest by JomoGbomo2(m): 7:30am On Aug 29, 2012
This is classical conflict of interest, any serious government should have this as one of its core policy. It is the root of all corruption.

Good move from the presidency, I hope GEJ actually uses this example across board for all his cabinet members.
PoliticsRe: Please Anyone Has A Quote Of Pastor Tunde Bakare On Boko Haram? by JomoGbomo2(m): 2:31pm On Aug 08, 2012
I like the way this thread just ended.

..Beaf aka werepeleri just ran away after Demdem gave him a blow below the belt !!!

The truth is that, GEJ has all the resources in all forms to end this menace....thats what the office of the president has. let him use it or leave the place period.
PoliticsRe: Ogoniland Declares Independence!!! by JomoGbomo2(m): 5:40am On Aug 03, 2012
Hmmmm, I don't think this is a good move, Nigeria breaking up into tribes will not solve our problems...

Let me see how this CLown will react to this. My major concern is that they are just 1.2 Million, the war may not last more than 3 days.
PoliticsRe: Budget: Angry Senators Walkout Anyim & Ministers Over Poor Performance by JomoGbomo2(m): 6:05am On Aug 01, 2012
This GEJ administration I justt grossly incompetent....and whoever hasn't seen it is just as much blind!. It lacked the capacity and moral purpose to lead this country...imagine the blatant lies.

And as for Ngozi O I. Please let's not take her enviable qualification as readiness to serve, she is just as morally bankrupt as the rest of the administration.
I don't know for how long this will take but I hope the reps will see this budget malady through to its end and if necessary impeach the Clown supposedly governing this country.

PoliticsRe: Mark My Words - Military Goverment Would Take Over . by JomoGbomo2(m): 6:24pm On Jul 21, 2012
@OP, I share ur view abt the state of our Nation and the ineptitude of those saddled with the responsibilties of salvaging us from an impending doom, but I don't think the military is the answer.
Our problem is not the type of system which choose to govern ourselves with (at least not now) our problem is the type or class of people we choose to lead us, our problems include our lack of values in determining who to govern us and my biggest fear is that we don't even know how to make our leaders be good leaders or in other words be accountable to us. This fear I believe is one of the by products of previous military regimes.

If the military comes in and and the people involve have the same mentality with the likes of GEJ with sincerity of purpose then we will be in a worse situations. Remember the military won't come from heaven, they are an integral part of us except with uniform and guns.

What we need now,.....our only source of hope is a leader with sincerity of purpose that will take his job to be serving the Nigeria masses but we can never get such leader until we the masses set our values right to get such a leader.

In a society where religion, tribe, ethnicity and stupidity comes before good governance then you can't get more than what we have now-mediocrity!

We the masses are the problem and until we stand up and correct ourselves and values we will be exactly where we are if not going back.

If you must know, I don't believe in democracy.... I believe in good governance. I believe every society should adopt what is best for them.
