These are the major reasons a man's life should not be compared with others. We are created uniquely to fulfill a unique purpose, and the level of our walk with God differs.

Right from the beginning of the world, everything exists by virtue of God's word. When the word of the Lord comes forth, His purpose is established. Everything you have been and will become is coded in God's word. 

When your life appears not to be promising despite God's promises for you, remember the promises of God to Abraham and how they were fulfilled. If your case is the type where people are waging war against your dreams and aspirations, remember Joseph and how God ensured the fulfillment of his dream. When you indulge in evil and it seems as if you are getting away with it, remember Pharaoh and how he ended his life. Remember the word of the Lord, which says there is no peace for the wicked.

No matter what you feel and your experience so far with destiny, the word of the Lord is true and will surely come to pass. However, you must always be mindful of the fact that God will act on your behalf if and only if you cooperate and walk in absolute obedience. Believe God in His word and wait upon Him for His promises.

Certain things will not happen in your life until you get to the location where they are ordained to happen. Your location in life has a great influence on your choices, experiences, vision, marriage, ministry, career, aspirations, and the impact you will make in the land of the living.

Most of the time, your divine location may not appear like a green pasture. The Lord told Isaac not to go down to Egypt. He obeyed and experienced fruitfulness. The land he dwells in became Rehoboth. Also, Joseph, by divine arrangement, was taken to Egypt, where his dreams were fulfilled.

You must be very weary of your location at every point in time so as not to lose out on destiny. Be very sure that you are divinely located; every time spent outside your divine location is a waste.

Hence, you must validate every idea that comes your way with the word of God to see if it will lead you to the perfect will of God for your life.

Going to Moab was reasonable and appeared good to Elimelech, Naomi's husband, but it wasn't God's plan for them because they paid the ultimate price for that decision. No matter how spiritual a man thinks he is, he must be mindful of the fact that we are designed to know in part as we proceed in destiny. This makes it paramount for us to follow Christ as he leads us onward. Don't allow anything to separate you from your divine location.

Let God lead you. Do not neglect the word of God that comes to you at every point of decision-making. You will live to enjoy the peace and the life God wants to give you if and only if you make the word of God your anchor as you proceed in destiny!

You have a destiny! The fact that your existence was never your idea makes it very imperative for you to do the will of God. The beauty of a man's life is the conformity of his life to God's master plan for him. Joseph aligned his life according to God's will for him and fulfilled his destiny. Queen Esther also cooperated with God, and she became what she was destined to become. 

The Lord has ordained you to fulfill a course in destiny, and this will only be possible when you deny yourself and do the will of God at all costs. When you circumvent the will of God through human wisdom, it is a sale of destiny. It is also an act of rejecting the life God wants to give you (in terms of your job, career, spouse, legacy, location, or anything else). Till this very time, we don't know to what extent God wants to use Gehazi if he hadn't traded his destiny.

The best you can be is to be who God wants you to be. Whatever you do or become through unrighteousness is never the will of God for your life, and such a path leads to destruction.

Is your life according to the pattern ordained by God?

Lord! I will not miss out on destiny, and my life will not be alien to your ordained pattern for me, in Jesus' name. Amen!

Most people don't believe in God because His inheritance in His people's lives is invisible but very real. Sometimes, it seems as if there is nothing a man can benefit from serving God. However, we must be mindful of the word of God, which says, "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work" (Rev 22:12). The reason men don't see what they have to gain by serving the Lord honestly is that the reward is with Him.

What the Lord will do for His people is embedded in His promises. God promised Abraham a land where he lived as a stranger; he accepted the vision and became the father of nations. The dream of Joseph came to pass. He must have given up on it when he became a slave and a prisoner, but his ordeal did not hinder it. The promises of God will only be fulfilled on the premises of Obedience to His word.

Do you believe the word of God for your life?

Lord! Please help me to work in obedience and always be on the premises of the fulfillment of your promises in Jesus' name. Amen!

Prophet Elijah reached a moment in his destiny when he thought it was all over for him, but the Lord told him, "Get up and eat, for the journey is too great for you." (1Kgs 19:7).

The journey ahead of you is also great. You must be aware that God is leading you somewhere, and there is a goal to reach based on the grace you have received. You must also take advantage of the opportunity to eat for spiritual, marital, academic, and financial strength in ministry, business, career, and in all facets of life. Prepare to do God's will and let the Holy Spirit work in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

By the virtue of his experience and his walk with God in life, he decided to be at the mercy of God. You also will not but come at various junctions of choice in every facet of life; if you must be in safe hands you must decide to be on the Lord's side.

The evil one is very aware of this very fact and will also make provision at every junction of choice. When this time comes be mindful of the fact that you are only safe at the bossom of the Lord. Be careful to live according to the will of God and live to please Him in whatever you do.

The fact that men will be available to provide help at various junctions of life does not change the fact that safe hands are found in the Lord. Do not forget that woe is the man who puts his trust in men, the position of authority, riches, and material possessions of life. Be at the mercy of God in every facet of life!

Life has demonstrated that God is just to everyone. On a daily basis, you experience some measure of grace and goodness. He is merciful to all of His creations. Not all men have money, excellent health, a sound mind, peace, joy, good relations, relationships, a job, a business, wisdom, and delightful material belongings. No man possesses all of these. However, you do have some of these. This is how God usually deals with men! You will be ungrateful if you believe that you have not received His mercy because someone appears to be ahead of you.

Do you appreciate God's mercy?

Let us try and be realistic in our messages. We should let people know that it is not in all cases that God comes flying to the rescue like superman. Hence, whenever it looks as if you are forsaken, the only place to turn is to God.

The Prodigal Son understood this fact, and he turned to the Father when the journey became rough. He knows the Father as a man who is loving and caring, hence, he turned to him. Even if you are an offender with several loads of sins, God will never give you up to death; he will have mercy on you if you repent from your evil ways. Life has revealed that we can be forsaken by people who ought to stand as fathers and mothers when it matters most. Hence, we must always turn to God, who promised never to leave us nor forsake us in all situations.

Where do you turn in times of trouble?

When King Herod did not know of Christ’s birth, he was not boarded and never sought to kill Him. But as soon as he knew, he made plans to kill Him at all costs. One of those ways you can assist your enemies in their evil enterprise is a simple revelation of what God is doing or about to do in your life.

The Lord outsmart King Herod by leading the wise men to take another path. Several battles of life can be avoided if there will be proper management of some critical revelation about your life. King Saul did not discuss the matter of becoming King with His uncle (1Sam10:15-16) but gave only the information he needed.

The enemy remains very weak when there is no revelation. They couldn't do anything to Samson until he reveal the source of his strength to them. Don't be careless about critical information about your life; grow in obscurity and allow God to bring you to the limelight on His own and in His time.

The essence of the coming of Christ is to give men a sense of God's presence.

You need God and His presence in the affairs of your life. You can only experience Him through Christ Jesus. The sense of His presence gives you victory over sin and unrighteousness. Knowing the fact that God is with us, gives us the required confidence to face the future without fear and the assurance of victory over various life battles.

Nevertheless, the busy and competitive world does not make a man so busy to die when his death comes.

In the text above, we saw Jesus and his disciples making a deliberate effort to retreat from people to rest and eat. This is a standard set for us irrespective of who we think we are and what we choose to do for a living. Make an effort to always retreat from your daily routine activities to commune with God and spend time with your loved ones. Spend time reflecting on your life and how you have lived so far in destiny. Eat in preparation for the task ahead of you spiritually, maritally, academically, etc in the journey of destiny.

There is no end to forgiveness because there are no end offences; Jesus said they would not but come. An important virtue for your journey into destiny is forgiveness. An important antidote against bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking, and malice is forgiveness. When a man finds it extremely difficult to forgive other men their shortcomings, the missing link is the spirit of Christ.

Several marriages or relationships continue to work out according to God's purpose with great fulfillment because the partners continue to forgive each other endlessly, irrespective of the gravity of offences. When a man cannot deny himself and forgive, he becomes vulnerable to destroying what he has sacrificially built over the years. The price to pay for not forgiving is far greater than the pain to bear when you forgive. An incidence of divorce or separation will become non-existent in the presence of forgiveness.

When true love rules in the heart of a man, he covers the inadequacies in the lives of other men. When a man does anything bad, it is not him but the sinful nature in him. You have also come to the point where you can't believe you are the one who did what you did just because you were overruled by the power of sin. In every situation, do not forget the mercy of God you have received. There is peace, joy, and fulfillment in denying yourself to forgive men their sins.

Are you ready to forgive your offenders?

Focus: The Light on the Lamp Stand 

The word for today 
If no man will light a lamp and put it under a bowl, even God will not. If your life is a true reflection of His glory, He will not hesitate to make you walk and shine in high places!

From various happenings in the world today, we can attest to the fact that darkness covered the earth and thick darkness hung over the people despite the increasing number of churches and religious activities (Isa 60:2). The reason is not far-fetched; men placed in various domains of life are not expressing the true nature of God.

Confusion is here and there because of the behaviour of many so-called children of God. When people are looking at some men from afar, they pray to be like them, but a closer look not only makes them disappointed but also weakens the chance God would have used to do His good pleasure in the lives of men.

The Lord is taking note of every minute detail of your life, including all your reactions to various tests placed before you. If you live to reflect His glory, He will surely place you on the lampstand. Even when it seems that your emergence is delayed to make you operate in obscurity; you are only prepared for a greater manifestation of His glory.
 
Give no room to compromise; your faithfulness to God is an important pre-requisite if you will be great under God and operate and shine in high places.

Is your life a reflection of His glory?

Lord! I receive the grace to reflect your glory in Jesus' name. Amen!!!

An important prayer point you must always pray about is to be delivered from the evil one. The sinful nature of every man provides a fertile ground for evil. When evil thoughts cross your mind do not give room for them. The greatest evil perpetrated by men begins with an evil thought. Hence, the evil thought a man considers in his heart will lead him into temptation that will bring evil to his life.

The most important antidote against evil is to obey God at all costs by following Christ in His steps. Allow the word of God to gain preeminence in your life. This will assist you to subdue every dark passion in your heart. Gehazi despises the steps and the decision of Elisha to reject Namaan's gift and caught leprosy. The ordeal of several men and the evil that befell them came to the point they neglected the word of God and despised the way of the Lord!

Do you allow God's word to take preeminence in your life?

Lord! I receive the grace to subdue every dark passion through your word in Jesus' name. Amen!

Each time God allows His people to face various challenges in various aspects of life; He does that to ensure that no man takes glory in flesh. He will not but always bring men to the end of themselves to renew their intense desire for Him!

The major reason behind the various failures or misfortunes we experience in various aspects of life as children of God is to ensure that we lose confidence to the best of our capability and to put absolute trust in Him.

Take for example; despite all you have you still lack some things readily available to someone so very close to you. Even those you think have what you don't lack something else.

It is not enough that you are smart, have experience, connections, skill, certificates, and good moral characteristics; you are not successful until you have come to understand that the race is not for the swift, nor battle for the strong, nor riches for men of understanding (Eccl 9:11).

The Lord wants a situation whereby when people look at your life the only explanation they will have is - it is God (2Cor 4:7). Don't wrestle with God in any aspect of life but rather acknowledge Him to have His way because He will never allow the flesh to glory in His presence.

Where does your hope lie?

Lord! I need you every hour in Jesus' name. Amen!

The life of every man who faithfully submits to God's will to serve him, running the race set before him with patience, fighting the good fight to fulfill His purpose on earth, and keeping the faith will be characterized by God's Glory at the end!!!

Paul in his life came to a point where he beheld the Glory set before him after he has faithfully and sacrificially served the Lord within the days of his life. He made it clear that the same honour awaits those who follow suit.

Glory awaits every child of God who faithfully serves him all the days of their lives; no matter how much the gravity of the oppression, suffering, and terrible situation of life they experience. Jesus will wipe away all tears and joy unspeakable will be theirs through eternity.

Some people are fighting hard to get something, restlessly chasing something, and people are busy with spiritual activities. However, not every fight is good; not every man that is running is in the race, and not every man engaging in spiritual activities is keeping the faith. The main issue is that Glory awaits those who live their lives for God in the End

Focus: The Values of a Relationship

What you believe about yourself will only be challenged in relationships. It is a tool in the hand of God to check your growth, maturity and also to reveal your real personality!

"The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." (Genesis 2:18).

Every man you come in contact with in a relationship is your helper. You cannot accurately determine if you are cruel, proud, selfish, covetous, kind, caring, loving and generous until you come into a relationship. Your faith is baseless until it becomes validated under the atmosphere of a relationship.

God places much value on our relationships. He debunks the fact that a man claims to love Him at the expense of His fellow brother (1John 4:20). He rejects every gift or service rendered to him at a time when you are not at peace with your brother (Matthew 5:24).

The Lord sees a man who cannot provide for his own home in a marital relationship as the worst infidel (1Tim 5:. If it will be well with a child and live long to enjoy the goodness of the Lord on earth; he must honour his Parents and establish a good relationship with them (Eph 6:1-3). Also, He considers a peaceful relationship with men as a pre-requisite for holiness required for heaven making (Heb 12:14).

To be what God wants you to be at all levels of life you must submit yourself and grow in relationships (marital, discipleship, parental, career).

What can you really become in life without a relationship?

Lord! Help me to submit myself to a destiny helping relationship in Jesus name. Amen!!!

There is no man without weakness. A statement may be wrong and correct at the same time from different angles, views, experiences, and perceptions. Therefore, God brings us into relationships to ensure that our life is correct.

The essence of making two become one is to work out perfection. However, two people will only have a perfect relationship when they accept each other in love. Submitting to one another in love is very essential to becoming one.

When the Lord is set to bring a man to perfection; he brings him into marriage and other special relationships. You may not know in detail the lapses in your life until you come to commit your life in absolute unclothedness to another for close examination and criticism. The purpose of this is to ensure adequate coverage of various lapses and for the other person to serve as a complement to your life.

How far can you go all alone in life?

Lord! Let me never be without a covenant destiny helper in Jesus' name. Amen!

Tender mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering, perseverance, and forgiveness are intrinsic attributes of love that every child of God must possess. Showing love is the most effective way to activate the presence of God. This is because where there is love, you will find God.

Love is the only factor that has the power to inspire all men, irrespective of their faith, beliefs, religion, colour, race, and background. When the Lord is set to bless a man and make him relevant among other people, He inspires men to love him.

A man becomes a celebrity when the Lord inspires men to love him and what he does, irrespective of the qualities of such things and his qualifications. All you need to be successful in every facet of life is love. You need someone to love you as a husband, wife, father, and mother. Also, you need someone to love your services, profession, faith, message, and beliefs to deliver God's mandate. However, you must sow the seed of love to reap love in every aspect of life.

What did you become that was not through love?

Lord! In Jesus' name, help me to live my life sowing and reaping the seed of love. Amen!

Irrespective of what you are enjoying from life, the fact remains that you are just the product of God's grace and mercy.

Yes, it is true that you laboured, prayed, and played your part in various aspects of life; the fact remains that it is the grace of God that did not allow all your input to be in vain. Nevertheless, you must always remind yourself that you are what you are by His grace alone. Don't be tempted to play God or look down on those who are less privileged.

A man of God by the virtue of the Grace of God that always keeps him safe wherever he goes concluded in one of His messages that any child of God who has an accident is a sinner. Unfortunately for him, he had an accident while traveling back to his place of residence. Thank God, he did not die, but his car was condemned beyond repair. This is just a message for him that he was not safe all this time because of his holiness but God's mercy.

When you see people who don't have what you have, see them as men who have not received the measure of grace given to you in a particular aspect of life rather than as offenders. Always acknowledge God for making you who you are. 

What did you become without the mercy of God?

Lord! I bless and acknowledge you for who you are and for what you've done so far in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen!!!

This life is characterized by both good and bad news. This establishes the fact that God is very much at work in your life. The fact that thousands are falling by your sides and disaster did not come near you establishes the fact that God sent His angel to guard you (Psalm 91).

Further, the testimony of what the Lord did in the lives of men that came to your hearing affirms the claims that God is still in the business of blessing His people with a good job, a good wife, a good husband, godly homes, godly children, houses, cars, academic achievements, promotion, a good career, and wonderful possessions of life.

Whatever you commit to God in prayer, He is working on it. He makes things happen even when you can't see, feel, or have evidence of them. Your experience is part of His divine plan for you. He is using time and the various pressures of life's situations to work things out on your behalf.

Can you perceive the workings of God in your life?

Don't let the situations of life dictate your actions; instead, respond to all situations according to God's word for them. Joseph did not say "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" when he was tempted, but rather disciplined himself and fled from sin according to God's Word. David did not lay his hand on King Saul, who is desperately seeking to kill him, because he remembered God's word, which says, "Touch not my anointed." 

Someone can be stealing funds placed at his disposal because he is earning little and carrying vast responsibility for unbridled ambition. A man may be indulging in adultery because the temptation is just too great. I don't know the reason you always give for your actions. The men of old could have given such an excuse, but they lived their lives according to God's word and did not allow those situations to lead them down the path they never intended to take. The apostle Paul was tempted in many ways, but he disciplined himself to fulfill his mandate.

Take charge of your destiny by denying yourself so you can have the life God wants to give you!

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed." (Genesis 2:24-25).

The Only institution created by God which gives room to absolute unclothedness is marriage. It is only in marriage that you can be naked and you will not be ashamed. Similarly, when there is no absolute unclothedness in marriage the parties involved will be disgraced.

The concept behind creating Adam first; is meant to show God's will of oneness in marriage. He created them as a single entity initially (male and female) (Gen 5:1-2) and later separated them to ensure multiplicity. Even in this, He wants them to still remain one because they carry the same destiny, assignment and mandate.

Therefore, now as a separate entity in a single unit, if they must have the same heart, understand purpose there must be communication. If they must remain one every piece of information must be shared.

Your marriage is not successful until you become one with your spouse. Therefore, you must invest comprehensive time in communication in your marriage. With proper communication there will be proper understanding and with proper understanding there will be successful marriage.

Have you achieved Oneness with your spouse?

Lord! Strengthen our hearts to live by the laid down principle for successful marriage in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Everything you see men do in various aspects of life starts with a thought process. The evil we see in men occurs because they put their evil thoughts into action. Similarly, those men who act righteously and live a life of integrity do so not because evil thoughts do not enter their hearts but because they guard their hearts and silence the evil thought process in them.

It wasn't as if the king's food was not attractive to Daniel. A strong young man like Joseph will naturally yield to the advances made by Potiphar's wife. David didn't lay his hand on King Saul even though he sought to kill him at all costs. These men were able to live correctly because they guarded their hearts. To have the life God wants to give you, you need to seek God's help through His word and guard your heart diligently. 

Is the word of God hidden in your heart?

Lord! Please help me to always remember your word in my heart; that I might not sin against you in Jesus' name. Amen!!!
