Most Graduate Trainee programs have age limit of 26 years and below, so that automatically disqualifies me. I had gotten to the second interview stage of one some weeks ago, but when they saw I was above 26, they stepped on the brakes.

Hold on, please suspend the birthday wishes for now. I clock 28 years old today, but looking back, this is not how I would have expected my 28th year on earth to be. About a decade ago, I envisaged my life today to be better: a stable job, decent apartment and maybe even my own family. Fast forward to today, I have none of these 3.
I finished my NYSC in Akwa Ibom state months ago, and after staying for some weeks to see if I will have something tangible for, none was forthcoming. I had to leave when I realized I was spending the little savings I had. Now I am back home, and I have lost count of the number of jobs I applied for and the places I submitted my CV.
I graduated from Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMinna) with a Second Class Upper in Food Science and Technology, and despite applying to jobs in FMCG industries and beyond, the only feedback I have been getting is a regret mail. Even when I have certifications in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (ISO QMS) and HACCP Analysis, somehow, my email has only been filled with 'we regret to inform you that...'
It is getting tiring at this point. I am back home in Ilorin, and even though my parents are not complaining, it breaks my heart to see them still working so hard to get by and I can't help them financially. They toiled so hard to send me to school, by now they should be reaping the fruits of their labor, but here I am, with pockets and account balance as empty as a blank paper in the exam hall.

I did try to learn some soft skills online, I paid to learn copywriting and help get gigs, but the 'mentor' only taught what an average upcoming writer knows and zoomed off. I have tried learning UI/UX, but I don't even have a laptop to practice. I wanted to learn Solar installation while I was serving but couldn't because most technical academies that give standard certifications charged prices higher than my capacity then. Now there's absolutely no hope of learning a skill like that because of lack of financial backing.
To make matters worse, I do see my former course mates on social media and what they have achieved. Some are doing well in the country and others are outside the country. I know circumstances are different, but why does mine have to be unpleasant?

My mom runs a small restaurant which I help out since I can't stay idle at home, but for how long must it go on like this? There seems to be no hope in sight, the future looks bleak. I have hope that things will get better, but that hope is hanging on a thread which might even break anytime soon 💔
Excuse my long rant, I just couldn't hold it in any longer.

they are visible in all parts of the world. The reason some can't see them can be due to the weather. I saw Jupiter and Saturn yesterday night and Venus this morning

If you're interested in watching these stars then you'll have to come around 7pm ,look at the sky towards the west, you can't miss them I mean Saturn and Jupiter. You can also trace the moon towards the west for guidance.

Mars is currently around the moon, it's like a reddish star before the Orion belt.

You can only see Venus in the early morning sky, so bright you can't miss it.

I saw Venus in the eastern sky like an hour ago. will look for Mars around the Moon this evening. I've been seeing Jupiter and Saturn for days, didn't know Mars could be spotted too.

I'm looking at it now and I'm in ikeja.
Even you can see it only that you'll think it's a star.
Look at the pictures in this post and compare it to anything you see in the sky tomorrow night between 7pm-8pm. . .that is Jupiter and Saturn. They look like stars because they're far away, but they're not. I can even see Mars with my eyes from where I'm standing.

please which direction did you look for Mars? I've also been seeing an unusually red star some days back apart from those two. could it be Mars?

I remember the day Prof. Ijaya tore my crazy jean right in front of the whole level (200L days). The jean tore to an extent my pant can be seen, as per rugged guy I just walk out jeje climb bike along the second guy, till I finish that semester na only two jean I dey wear go school since the rest are crazy jean and I sow enough materials so tey I prefer them to jean and top...I still don't know why I can't hate Prof.Ijaya after tearing my Jean...I too like that man.
