Sports / Re: My Experience Watching A Live Local League Match by Jonegonu: 6:01pm On Feb 13, 2022
Amotolongbo:
Good testimony from you bro.

This season NPFL is taking a shape which is different from the the previous seasons.
It is quite interesting to know that till week 10, two teams in the NPFL, Remo Stars and Rivers United were being invincible in the league.
Rivers United lost her first match on week 11. Remo Stars is currently losing her match (week 12) by a lone goal away, though may equalise before the end of the match to continue the invincible (Remo stars lost)

The problem with our league is the NFF and NFL. I wish it can be better organised and be televised.
did they stop you from supporting a team of your choice

Politics / Re: PDP Governors Meeting: Read Communique Issued After Port Harcourt Meeting by Jonegonu: 9:05pm On Jan 17, 2022
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday in Abuja, apologised to Nigerians for mistakes the party made while in power.

The National Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, made the apology at a public national discourse on “Contemporary Governance in Nigeria.”

The PDP lost the general elections to the now ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2015.

The then incumbent president, Goodluck Jonathan, conceded victory to APC candidate Muhammadu Buhari. Ever since Nigerians have been inundated with the perceived excesses perpetrated by officials of the former ruling party while in office.

Mr Secondus apologised to Nigerian for ”impunity, the imposition of candidates and other mistakes made in the past.”

He assured that under his watch, there would be no imposition of candidates or any form of impunity in the party’s activities.

“I hereby, as the National Chairman, do admit that the PDP made a lot of mistakes; we are humans, not spirits and the ability to admit is key in moving forward.

“We admit that we have made several mistakes; we have passed through all our challenges and have acquired the experience no other party can boast of.

“We were sanctioned by Nigerians at the polls in 2015; let me use this opportunity to apologise for our past mistakes.

“It is the honest thing to do, a legacy to transfer to our children; we cannot continue like that.

Is no the function of a state government to build market. Rather it is a local government function to build market so I don't see this as an achievement by a state government.

Price of gas including LPG went up globally in 2021 no doubt, but it will be disingenuous for anyone to want us to believe there is nothing the federal government can do to make the product a little more affordable to Nigerians.
The exchange rate adjustment and VAT on imported gas are two cost imputs the government is wholly responsible for.
what do u want Nigeria government to do did other country do same to their people

if there is a judgement against river state today wike you claim as a lord will not even think of going closing to site where the police is enforcing a supreme court judgement. Remember that wike came as governor of river state today base on the same supreme court judgement. Amaechi and co then should have disrespect the supreme court judgement the way and manner lagos state want to disrespect supreme court judgement. Here

I am very happy that this is coming from Reno omokiri this is a clear indication that wike does not obey laws of the land and does not have respect for the constitution of Nigeria. The CSP was there to enforce a supreme court judgement., And for the governor coming out publicly to instruct a police officer to place a call to the IG or AGF made a fool of him self. What is the difference between the state government and the ordinary man on the street here that a governor is trying to stand down on a supreme court judgement and some of are applauding him here surprise me.

There are same news making round that some rail way staff are selling ticket to passengers after the federal government have declared train service for festive period free. This is problem we have in this country some of us fail to stand and protect the government. why will someone be selling a ticket that the government have declared free. And some of us are still paying for it why can't protest at the stations, at list that will call the attention of the government that some people are extorting the public. Else we have decided to shift the blame to the people in authority. Please OP let this go to front page

I want to drop this little information about rail transportation in Nigeria. If you are planning to travel by rail this festive period. Please I will advise you to have a cardigan with you more especially for the kids. Because inside the rail coaches the air conditioner is very active. No matter how they try to reduce the cooling, the cool inside the coaches is still high
