PDP is a fraud. Multiplier effect of corruption 1. A young man works for one of the state ministries. His salary is 120K. He makes 15,000 everyday on this desk (N75k a week) engaging in corrupt practices. As a result, he spends the daily cash as he cares. Living large and far above his legitimate income. 2. He visits the local joint every evening and buys drinks for friends, and area boys. They hail him. He is married, but has two girlfriends. His "income" is enough to take care of them. The Asun seller at his favorite joint is happy, the joint owner is happy. 3. Everyone was benefiting from his "income". Friends, family, area boys, joint owner, Asun seller, girlfriends, wife and his church. Life was good. 4. Then suddenly the ministry implemented the Treasury Single Account (TSA) at the beginning of PMB administration. His extra "income" disappeared and he had to adjust to the reality of event and live within his real income. That wasn't easy. 5. Initially he reduced his daily visit to the joint to 3 days a week and stopped buying drinks for everyone. He reduced the plates of Asun. The Asun seller started to find it hard to sell a full goat each day and resorted to buying half. 6. The young man's girlfriends started to feel the heat too. No more iPhone 10. The joint owner noticed a drop in sales. The young man finally stopped visiting the joint after a month. The area boys started feeling his absence. The effect cascaded down. 7. The young man started spending more time at home with his wife and kids. The family had to readjust to the reality of the new normal. His hair stylist noticed the young man suddenly stopped tipping. He will even wait for his N200 change after haircut. 8. Things are different. Times are hard, they all cry. The young man is blaming Buhari, his wife is blaming Buhari, the area boys are blaming Buhari, the girlfriends are saying Buhari must go, the joint owner is saying Buhari killed the "economy" 9. The Asun seller is cursing Buhari, the hair stylist is insisting Buhari is too old to rule. This is the story of our nation where corruption fuels the "economy". Those who are not engaging in it are benefiting from it. 10. This tread is not about Buhari's achievement or failure, but rather about the "multiplier" effect of corruption and how we have built a system largely driven by corruption. It's about policy implication (good or bad). It's about the choices we have made. Finally, the young man had to withdraw his kids from what he called expensive primary school his kids attend. He added:"what are they teaching them there sef " Obasanjo didn't go to a private school. I just laughed . |

Egalitarian1:“The sorry state of the Port Harcourt International Airport as at 2015 when the Buhari administration took over became a global concern. That airport was not only an eyesore but an embarrassment to all Nigerians. That airport was rated the worst in the world. That story was completely changed for good under Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as Minister of Transportation. Today, travellers can attest to the international status of that airport. “It was Rt. Hon. Amaechi who pushed for the construction of Bodo-Bonny Mega Road with multiple bridges by the Federal Government. The project has long been awarded and work has commenced covering reasonable kilometers. The scope comprises construction of a 39km long road, cross culverts and two mini bridges with a span of 23 m each as well as two creek bridges, Afa Creek Bridge of about 530m length and Nanabie Creek Bridge of about 640m length, in addition to the construction of a major river bridge of about 750m length over the Opobo Channel. The project cost is N120 billion. “The dredging and sweeping of waterways within the Eastern Port corridor was reinvigorated under Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi by Bonny Channel Construction Company Ltd. “Port Harcourt Port activities which went comatose in the early 2000s have come back with a beehive of economic and port activities. Trucks even stretched their parking up to around the Rivers Government House entrance gate waiting to be called up to pick up containers at the Port Harcourt Port. “Only recently, Onne Port received the largest vessel ever to berth on Nigerian waters. MSC, Comet and General cargo shipping lines have fully returned to the Port with an average of 1500 containers every fortnight and over 20,000 MT of cargo monthly. Mearsk Shipping monthly container delivery to Onne increased by over 50%. “The Port Harcourt to Maduguri Rail Line is already approved and same for the Lagos- Calabar Coastal Rail Line. Construction work will commence soon in earnest. “Yesterday, the Warri-Itakpe Rail Line was obviously commissioned. This project has over 90% coverage of the entire South-South region. “Approvals were also given to some private waterfront jetty owners to build private tank farms that have aided the seamless storage, and distribution of petroleum products in Rivers State. “The Ogoni Clean-up Exercise was so dear to Rt. Hon. Amaechi’s heart that he got the President’s ears. Today, it’s a reality. “Only recently, Governor Wike got the sum of N78.9 billion as refund for Federal Road projects constructed by Rt. Hon. Amaechi when he was Governor of Rivers State. “Approvals have been given for Bonny and Warri Deep Sea projects. This is not just an attraction for Rivers State but the South-South region. |

I was in my room last night when my neighbor started screaming... "Help! Help! Snake ooo! " I ran to her room with a strong wood in my hand. When I dashed nto her room, I saw a very big snake facing my lovely neighbor inside her sitting room and other neighbors joined me. We all started shouting, "Today is the end of your life, you witch snake!" . I wanted to be a hero that night so, I first of all ran to the snake to hit it with my wood. It turned and faced us with a red eye. Then, i said if i count 1 to 3, we should hit the snake at once which we all agreed. I started counting, 1...2....3 go! Then, Peeeeeeeem! NEPA took d light, (dat was wen I knew my village people have finally descided to kill me). We all started screaming in the dark because the door was closed so, no way to run outside and the snake was inside the room. We nearly killed ourselves. If someone touches me, I will hammer the stick on him thinking that it was the snake. If I touched someone too, I will receive a bombastic beating too. My Brothers and Sisters, as am talking to you now... We are all in the hospital because we nearly killed ourselves with the wood instead of the snake. I have stopped helping people since then. you cannot come and kill me for my children. |
