If you look at those who were supporting Libya in their ill-treatment of the Super Eagles, you will notice that they tend to also be Obidients, for the most part. These guys' angst against Nigeria is deep-seated. It is beyond Peter Obi. He is just a symbol of their hatred. You can imagine accusing Nigeria of treating the Libyans in the same manner when they played at Uyo.

First of all, that is not true. You all saw photographic, visual and documentary evidence of the maltreatment of our players by Libya. Now, please show me a scintilla of proof that Nigeria drew first blood.

These guys just have a confirmation bias against Nigeria to the extent that they tend to believe any negative thing about Nigeria, with or without evidence.

You guys know how heavily I travel. In those journeys, I have never seen people so quick to disparage their country as Obidients. Yet, when you travel and visit foreign prisons, you will be shocked that the very same people badmouthing Nigeria at home are the same ones giving us a horrible reputation abroad.

Obviously, there are exceptions. But if you want to be ashamed of your passport, travel to Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Peru, Seychelles (there are more Nigerians in their prisons for drugs than their own citizens) and, lately, Ethiopia and South Africa. You will want to cry at the shenanigans some of our citizens pull.

It is because many of you have not travelled out of Nigeria before. In Thailand, once you show a Nigerian passport (except for official and diplomatic passports), they sometimes ask about your ethnicity. They periodically target Nigerians according to their ethnicity within Nigeria. And this looks bad. Until you visit their prisons. And then you understand why they take such drastic actions.

This Libya issue just brings to fire the deep anti-Nigerian sentiments that some people have, making them instinctively side against Nigeria when we have international disputes with other nations.

Listen, and listen well: Nigeria will survive and thrive. The Super Eagles will soar in Africa and beyond. This will happen with or without you. No matter what you say or do, God will bless Nigeria!
