The only sector that looks to survive is the gas industry. The UK is eyeing electric cars by 2040. Saudi Arabia is already starting to look for a new life far from oil. The oil sector won't completely die but it won't be the most profitable in the years to come . Kenya is not much endowed with fossil fuels but this one looks to be a blessing in disguise for us as we don't depend on 'oyel money' like Nigeria or Angola! kikuyu1: |
Put it in bed already. No need of going for the jugular! ![]() NairobiWalker2: |
The 4 billion dollar pipeline.I have nothing but to say congratulations to them! From 1.7 billion barrels that were earlier quoted in Uganda we are now hearing of probable 1.1/1.4 billion in recoverables. What next? 1 billion worth of recoverable crude.I love this arithmetic of subtraction. Tanzanians want a bigger share of tax per crude barrel that would pass through the pipeline, with the unstable crude prices in the global markets, this may not look good.Let's see how they'll finance this project, will they taste the Eurobonds? tylann: |
''By considering the 2019/2020 Budget Policy, in order to properly execute the Tshs.33.1 trillion ($14.3 billion) budget, Tshs.23 trillion ($10 billion) will be obtained from internal revenue sources, loans from local financial institutions amounting to Tshs.5 trillion ($2.1 billion), foreign loans with business conditions at Tshs.2.3 trillion ($1 billion) and Tshs.2.8 trillion ($1.2 billion) from development partners,’' Dr Mpango explained. Tanzania's 2018/2019 Budget Policy statement excerpt! The BPS figures merely hangs on projections and normally the budget figures would downsize a bit as projections aren't always accurate from that country! Goodluck on them eclipsing Kenya soon! ![]() |

I've seen this one from the Daily Nation. Intresting, our demographics would have been way different if the Boers were still here in numbers and also if the Jews accepted that plan by the Brits! We wouldn't be talking of Hitler persecution of the Zionists or the Israeli-Palestinian war! How the British offered to settle Jews in Rift Valley,Kenya The British and the then colonial secretary Joseph Chamberlain set out to lure the Jews out of their homeland dream and resettle them in Kenya through the Nairobi Plan of 1902. Out of persecution and desperation in Europe, Theodore Herzel, the father of the Zionist movement born in the 19th century to unite Jews in exile accepted the plan. But the Russian Jews opposed the plan, wanting nothing short of the Promised Land for the children of Israel. Other groups like the Israel Zangwill continued to pursue the Nairobi Plan after the 7th Zionist congress in Basel, Switzerland in 1905, where the Jews formally rejected the British offer. The Nairobi Plan, heralded as the New Judea, New Palestine, New Sinai, or British Palestine, then coded Operation Samson, was equal to 7,984 square kilometres of land demarcated in Uasin Gishu District. Had the Nairobi Plan succeeded, the Holocaust might not have happened in the scale it did because most vulnerable Jews would have been safely in Kenya, not in Hitler’s German lap. Andrew Nugget Dugger, an American Jew born in 1889 in Nebraska, migrated to Israel in 1952. In mid 1960s, he found several men in Kenya he taught that there was only one God, supreme and eternal known as Elohim in Hebrew. He taught them to serve Elohim by prayers, study and observing the holy commandments as set forth in the Torah. He taught them about Jewish holy feasts like the Pesach, Shavuot, Yom Kippur, Succoth and Hannukah. In 1970, A. N. Dugger sent compatriot and German-born Andy Shoemaker to perform ceremonies and to receive the 300 converts into the family of Messianic Jews. rvp20183: |

There are trees in 1 (Kenya) There is no sign of vegetation in 2 (Nigeria) Nigeria must be boring to look at!

Something about Kenyans is that we value that green look! Small buildings with neat gardens is way much better than their ugly grand concrete structures with no soul!
|
Here we go again.Grand concrete monstrosities is what they boast of! We just don't get well with your building styles! 68816419: |
Not that I entertain the Kenyan socialites either but you just can't compare her to Corazon and Sidika or even Notiflow. People here are learned! NairobiWalker2: |
Brainless they are! Here is a Tanzanian celeb doing her best! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDVzyu7ssq4?t=44 NairobiWalker2: |
Can you finesse though? tylann: |
At least Tanzanians use Sadolin to pain their structures! NairobiWalker2: |

The guy seriously thought I was a British man hired by the Kenyans to talk I'll of Nigeria. I didn't take him seriously. NairobiWalker2: |
There are more chances of me snatching off Shakira from Gerrard Pique than her coming back. She made it clear that she doesn't see herself coming back even though she loved the country. Arabs are traditional and as a woman it wasn't easy for her coming all the way to Kenya without a guard. She is probably married off as of now ! Yobeezy: |
Talk of the totally blind laughing at the one eyed man ? It's not like you're any better obaaderemi: |
Forgot the Nigerian refugee in South Africa by the name RunAlong333 who used to hide behind lionessza. NairobiWalker2: |
Kenya has sure helped many countries at different capacities and levels but it's lame for us to go on gloating about it. TayserMahri: |
I know some bit of Arabic, I wowed her on that ! My caramaderie with her had to end when she had to fly back to Rabat! Yobeezy: |
