Yeah,the ogas are flooded in most of the Kenyan varsities and many of them are still influxing our learning borders.Just last year a convention of Bello university students in Nigeria came to MMU for a worship summit.Some Congolese,Ethiopians,south Africans,Zambians,Zimbabweans and among other African students ain't also left out.I think our tertiary system of education is the frontier of racial integration in east Africa,then makerere and Dar es salaam universities closely follows.

With a strong leader, this can happen much faster. I know of a time when the whole of Europe was in chaos. In the old Europe, barbarism was the order of the day. Films like Spartacus and Vikings do give you a glimpse of how the situation was like. I'm afraid we don't have much time and we must do it pretty quick.

The Scottish ,Irish and English long ended their feuds and are now under one banner as the British people. They were not as diverse as us but we must replicate this. To develop and to achieve our socioeconomic goals,we need a more cohesive society.

That's how developed countries tend to progress.They weren't united as they seem to look now with one binding language..China for instance were different empires and kingdoms and fought for millenniums.Germany,UK,France and co had different distinct tribes,ethnic groups and cultures even within the same country buh got united with one adopted language like English,French,German to unify them with very same culture.They developed their tribal regions into cities and states.Very soon,most ethnic groups will diminish in Africa as the continent progresses and a unifying culture will be adopted.

Kenya has about 70 tribes according to a certain report. In this report are tribes which are yet to be formally recognised and these tribes normally have about 500-50,000 members as their population. These little tribes get gobbled up by the much established bigger tribes and eventually their languages and cultures die.

No one is a pure breed. The Mandingo and Wolof are more closely related to Luos of Kenya than Hausas. They both share the same origin - Kemet or the large Nubian Sudan Kingdom. The Pokomos are caught up between coastal Bantus and the Oromos(Cushites). It's pretty hard grouping them!

It's just like the way the coastal Bantus came from Southern Somalia in a place known as Shungwaya before they found themselves at the Kenyan coast! African tribes were always in migration. The Senegalese Wolof tribe originated from Sudan. Akon and Sadio Mane would fit in South Sudan and Sudan pretty well judging them by their looks.

All good except people don't recognize that Kenya aboriginal - the real original Kenyans - are the Khoisan - Dorobos, Okiek & many who have assimilated into many tribes - who are related to Khoisan South Africa & Namibia as the majority.
