Truth is As regards a player holding another back,Its not entirely true but looking at Neymar and Alba I think it actually happened.
Alba is known for his pace,His Cutbacks and the fact that he offers us Width tremendously well.He isn't a dribbling full back like Marcelo or Dani but what he lacks in Dribbles he makes up for with his pace and Cutbacks..In Enrique's first season, Neymar's task wasn't to create chances,he was to score goals(He scored 39) hence Jordi had a fantastic season that year..Last season where Neymar was allowed total freedom to create,He mostly ignored Jordi,In fact he mostly used Jordi as a decoy to occupy the opposing full back while looking towards goal,He did it a lot of times last season..I can tell you that if Ney was there in the game against Espanyol,Jordi won't have ran the entire length of the pitch to provide d assist for Messi's second goal,He'll have paused and passed the ball to Neymar..So whereas Its not Entirely Ney's fault that Jordi had a mediocre season last year,He surely had a part to play and thus limiting Jordi.




The other reason for Jordi's mediocrity was His cutbacks were missing,Luis Suarez couldn't get in that hole,You'll notice most Jordi's cut backs always happen whenever Messi is occupying the false 9 role (Evidence On Saturday) or whenever Messi times his runs perfectly to be at that spot to take one time shots at goal(Last season's clasico comes to mind)..I think Valverde plans to utilize Messi in the false 9 role at times this season and If Suarez can just have sense and With Neymar gone and Collective football seemingly back, We should expect a refined Jordi Alba this season.

Let's assume the Board didn't know Ney was leaving until July..The truth is reasonable fans knew Barca needed a RB,AMF and CMF as at the end of last season...Since Xavi our Main CMF left we didn't replace him,We didn't replace Dani either,Iniesta is still the Illusionista but the pace at which he does his magic is now slow and now gets easily caught up with plus he wasn't fit for most of last season..So even before the Neymar saga We needed replacements in those positions listed above..Veratti wasnt chased at all,No bid was submitted,It was all media propaganda,We were swift in getting Semedo as our RB,Why wasn't d same Swiftness used in replacing the other two positions?..What people dont understand is Coutihno wasn't chased as a replacement for Neymar,He was chased to replace Iniesta so He should have been chased even before the Neymar saga started at all..So because Neymar left we then suddenly realized we should replace Iniesta?..We didnt replace Iniesta, We didnt get Coutihno nor Seri(even though i never see d guy kick ball before)...Instead we got Paulihno..The boards ineptitude and Mumu attitude is the reason we are in this Mess.
