It seems self-evident. You have already stated that it doesn't require licensure, so the answer should be "no". jadief: My people ,please I need clarifications here. We recently got the SINP nomination, my spouse's Noc is 2255 which does not require liscensure. Now filling the application, I got to a point where I was asked " does ur intended occupation require professional certificate or licensure". Please what do I answer to this having in mind that his occupation was stated as not requiring licensure? Will he require professional certificate from APEGS before submission or nomination? NOC 2255 is technical occupations in geomatics and meteorology. Thanks all |

That's only for documentation purposes. In practice, according to law, 40hrs per week is still the standard no of hours (see this) Stencil: Actually in Canada and according to IRCC 30 hours per week is full time and less than that is part time. Isn't that awesome? No more 9-5. |

I think you are ok. The purpose of an ADR is to correct earlier mistake. Ideally, you could have added a LOE when you submitted earlier. Now, I'm not sure it is still needed. Debzyworld: Pls, I need advice. I realised I made a mistake in 2 of my addresses while filling my application form earlier pre AOR. I got ADR for schedule A in January and those mistakes were corrected but now it would seem like I have different addresses. Do I need to raise a CSE to explain these discrepancies? Btw, my file is in AVO and my AOR is Oct 1st 2018. |

Also use 2 or more certificates for OND and HND. cc: @BumyImagination amaya21: Try simulating using 8777 as @stencil advised. You should see a jump in CRS. But it may not be enough in these days of 450+ cutoff. Can he try for an extra certificate if he has only one? Can you try with yourself as the PA? Simulate these and see what you get.
At 33 years, with a good IELTS and two or more certificates, you can still get a direct ITA. Sometimes the PNP takes a while. |

Hi, Canadian application process is slightly different from Australia's. You evaluate your degree on its own. You get a reference letter from your workplace listing your JD which should be similar to the NOC you are choosing. Kindly read page 1 for all the information you need. obym321: Weldone everyone!
I have been a silent reader as I have the intention to apply for canada express entry.
I am aware I need to evaluate my qualification/s but I am not sure of the occupation to nominate.
Below are my qualifications; MBA from federation university Australia ACCA affiliate Bsc from Oxford Brookes
I have more than 3 years working experience as an accountant overseas BUT I am not sure if nominating Accounting will be a good idea as my highest qualification is MBA which I Think its generic.
Are there people who have use MBA for the express entry process ? Is there anyone that got his PR as an accountant as I will like to evaluate my qualifications this week.
Please, make una help una brother |

You are close. Next is PPR. The PPR letter is usually the last action of a processing office prior to transferring to the local VO for finalizing (final decision, CoPR and visa). harry41: Thank you Joo. So I’m close right? Cause he said if I don’t hear from them by 15 June, I should call back that they are at the stage of transferring the file to the nearest VO for finalization.
Also I want to specially thank you for always answering my questions and you won’t imagine how happy I was when you received your PPR. |

Thou shalt not be afraid. 1. There are lots of videos on youtube of people taking sample speaking tests. Watch them. 2. Take tests and record yourself. Listen to the recording and looks to ways to improve. 3. Find someone to listen to you taking tests and critiquing. Arosam: I don't know if i should call it Speech Disability or not, my listening, reading and writing is way better than my speaking. The thought of this gives me goosebumbs. Am already scoring 8.5, 7, 7.5 on Listening and reading test, i think my writing isn't so bad but speaking scares me. Please guys i need help!! |

I doubt the statement alone with suffice. You will need to include a LOE explaining that you have access to the 25% and include a link to the law on the web. Something like this: "The balance in my Pension account as at 23rd May, 2019 is N4,000,000. 25% of this amount which is N1,000,000 will be accessible to me within 4 months of resignation. I will have to resign my employment for the purpose of relocating to Canada to take up my Permanent Residency. Part III, Section 7 – (2) of the Nigerian Pension Reform Act 2014 authorizes this: ' Where an employee voluntarily retires, disengages or is disengaged from employment as provided for under section 16·(2) and (5) of this Act, the employee may with the approval of the Commission, withdraw an amount of money not exceeding 25 per cent of the total amount credited to his retirement savings account, provided that such withdrawals shall only be made after four months of such retirement or cessation of employment and the employee does not secure another employment.' Please refer to the link below to access the Pension Reform Act 2014 ( http://lawnigeria.com/LawsoftheFederation/Pension-Reform-Act,-2011-%28Repeal-and-Re-enactment%29-Act,-2014.html)." You can use any other web link in place of this one if you choose. onyexx: Hello everyone,
Please has anyone here used a statement of account from premium pensions? The customer service lady I spoke to just said they cannot include any letter explaining that I have access to 25% of the funds 6 months after retirement. Will the statement alone suffice? |

Will this complicate the PR application? I'm not sure. It seems a minor thing. Can the initial error be corrected? You might need to go to a NPC office. What steps can be taken to correct it? Refer to above. rhemagrace: Good day, please how can an error in attestation of birth be corrected? As an example, Mr A hopes to claim sibling points from Mrs B but while Mrs B was filling her application for attestation of birth she stated she was from Lekki Phase 1 and stated her LGA as Epe (which is clearly incorrect) ,Mr A is about to do his attestation of birth and is going to state he is from Lekki Phase 1 and the LGA is Eti-Osa (the correct info). Will this complicate the PR application? Can the initial error be corrected? What steps can be taken to correct it? Thanks. |

Congrats. Good news is good news. It has ended in praise. May your new life be great. Raconteur14: It's been a long while I have been here. Decided to share my PPR story even though I didn't get it through express entry.
January 2019 - I got married to my girlfriend who was a PR.
January 2019 - I got a new job.
February 27 2019 - Submitted my sponsorship application (Average time of processing is one year)
March 2019- I did my biometrics.
May 16 2019- I got an e-mail that I was eligible for pre-arrival services.
May 16 2019- I got another e-mail to go and do my medicals. I was so excited about this that I was bubbling up and down. People usually do medicals 6 months or more after the application has been submitted.
May 16 2019- I got yet another e-mail from Accra Immigration notifying me that my Visa was ready. So is my COPR. I had just gotten the PPR email. I was behind myself with so much joy and I still can't believe it. But God did it.
I share this to encourage someone. Be patient, keep at it and God would bring your own testimony for you.
I couldn't keep up with the thread from Part 3 because my situation wasn't changing. I am pretty sure that people we started together then are well settled in Canada now. But I am just so glad that God showed up for me this way. It's only him! |

1. Getting a job before you land is not impossible, but rare. 2. On whether online certificates can give you an edge, I think that is dependent on your industry. Try to use jobbank. Look at your desired jobs and look at the requirements. Can you satisfy the requirements with the course you are thinking about? Jenolyfavour: Hello house. Please can someone get a job online before getting a ppr. If yes do you need a Canadian certificate for that. And if yes can it be an online Canadian course. Thank you. Jenolyfavour: Please house, I understood also that when you reach Canada, having a Canadian certificate helps you for job search. So my question is what if one gets an online Canadian Certificate. If yes that means one can get it even before landing in Canada? |

I think it should have reflected immediately. It could be that there are certain circumstances it doesn't drop. You can use this to manually calculate your score accompanying and non accompanying. boladet: hello fellow nairalanders, i just removed my spouse from accompanying to non accompanying , since he has not done wes and his ielts score was not good, however this did not improve my score , it still remains at 405 i was told it will increase my score or should i still hold on, maybe the increase is not immediate. |

You need the softcopy for your application which will be sent to your email. "standard delivery or tracking delivery" is for the hardcopy. Standard is cheaper and slower. Courier is expensive and fast. Jenolyfavour: Hello house, I asked earlier about WES registration if I should choose standard delivery or tracking delivery. If I choose standard will it take so much time to reach me. What are the disadvantages compared to tracking. |
