I see that the Mod has initiated the process of opening a new thread.

That's cool.

Whoever gets picked can PM me for guidance.

The Hall of Fame part remains the aspect that needs a lot of attention

But why?

Nope.

Any such major change will be reflected in the news update page of IRCC on canada.ca.

If you have family or friends who can host, it is always better to land with them first.

You can always easily move to where the job is if you are still single.

etrange:

Thanks bro.

I intend to allow my job hunt determine where I will land. I was able to send applications to some coys with the help of a friend who's already in Canada. Though I'm yet to get a feedback, I'm open minded province wise. That's why I'm inquiring about the rents. Plus I heard one can't do first landing in Quebec, I don't know how true.

Hiya,

Yes, we have the right to judicial review.

However, that snapshot refers to IRB decisions, not for Express Entry.

The IRB is the Immigration and Refugee Board.

"The IRB decides, among other responsibilities, who needs refugee protection among the thousands of claimants who come to Canada annually".

Check here, here, here and here.

It should also be noted that you can raise a CSE and appeal to IRCC to re-open your file.

@ladymarshall

yokus:
For information purposes. You may apply for Judicial review on refusal. No one will need to by God's grace

Hiya,

The spirit is willing, but there are only 24hrs in a day. With settling, work and family demands, some things had to give way.

Only a moderator can close a thread, but you don't really need permission to start a new Express Entry thread once 500 pages has been reached. You will need to format the page 1 details and be ready to update the "PPR Hall of Fame".

I can do the first, but not the second. I've had help with the Hall of Fame from @raphrulz, but I can see that it is getting tough as the he has not been able to update since August 30.

I also think that the thread will be better served with someone who is currently active.

If an active contributor is willing to commit the next 3 months to updating the PPR Hall of Fame, I'm willing to guide that person.

I think interested contributors should reply this post so it can be public. I think it is better than nomination. The thread has been lucky that when @glitteringstar, @raphrulz and I were nominated in the past, we were able to step up.

If we were nominating, I will choose @ladymarshall as she is the current "boss" in the house. If she is willing.

I don't think the thread should be more than 700 pages though for ease of reading (some people do read whole threads) and for organizing.

If someone has not stepped up by 700 pages, I might open another thread, but the Hall of Fame will definitely suffer.

The issue goes back to what has been said before, and I guess will keep being said, the thread does not need to move fast.

Most issues have already been addressed before in one form or another, either in this thread or an earlier one. But few people are willing to read, to do a basic search.

It is alright, anyway. May God continue to bless the selfless contributors. May you find help in your own time of need.

grin shocked cheesy

Actually, we would prefer the thread pages not to move fast or reach this high number.

It will allow people with unique cases get easy response to their questions.

When you are trying to help, it is not easy reading through 320 posts (10 pages) of generic and already answered questions every day. Some people will unique cases may miss out.

On my own side, I can no longer plough through the volume of content, I just skim and answer one or two.

I know I'm missing some cases that I would love to research on, but hey, I've got bills to pay.

So please, always go to page 1 first. We encourage DIY.

Kendrix69:

If everyone asking a question here is directed to page 1 , do you think it would be on this page number?, you are always quick to direct to page 1, but what would it take you to explain the answer to my questions when you were typing your page 1 reply?
Modified, I don't know you so the "you" above generally implies everyone suggesting page 1
In case you decide to take it personal

Go to page 1 or check canada.ca to understand the program.

PNPs can be quite strict.

Confirm from Stanbic if they can give you the letter.

If you are not able to get the letter, you might need to liquidate and present the bank balance rather than risk a rejection.

Homextras:
Hi house, please I have a treasury bill running in stanbic bank to end in October. Now I have been told by Ontario provincial nominee to get a letter from my bank stating this money is easily accessible and can be liquidated. Now I don't think Stanbic gives such letter on treasury bills investments, but only their certificate, in that case what's the way out.
Thanks....

Only a small correction to the misrepresentation part.

It is only misrepresentation if you list yourself as single when you are already married.

You can always change from unaccompanied to accompanied, but as you noted, the points will be recalculated.

barby008:

Adding spouse after ITA is misrepresentation because you already listed them unaccompaning. Your CRS will be calculated and if you fall short of the draw of your ITA,I think it will be rejected or so
Getting married after ITA, you add spouse and raise a CSE that you just got married..further instructions will be given
Over to the bosses..i hope I am on track grin

Yes

Good day all, trust everyone is doing amazingly well.

I wish to ask a question: “Can I use my master’s degree statement of result together with my transcript to apply for ECA evaluation with WES or any of the service provider for the Canada Express Entry?” I wish to use the statement of result as a supplant for the original certificate (certificate will take 4 months to be issued & I can’t wait).

Thanks as I anticipate a response.

It all depends on the NOC provided by the company.

onyexx:
Hello all,

Please I’m asking on behalf of my friend.

What NOC code will you advice she uses for her 6 months graduate management trainee (GMT) experience. The job description is tricky cos they basically received lectures/trainings for the entire duration before they were given their full time offer. She needs this 6months to add up to her 2yrs 6months experience to make up 3yrs from the same company.

Note that her letter states that she was a graduate trainee for the 6months, then her actual job role for which she is claiming her NOC was stated for the 2yrs, 6months.

I don’t know if I’m making sense

Bazbaby:

Your concern is valid coz I have a similar issue. I was a graduate intern for a year and my job duties/job description is still tailored towards my NOC.

I’m claiming three years of work experience, will IRCC consider this graduate internship as an actual work experience...?

Can someone please help us out here...thank you

Hello to everyone in the house. I've been a silent reader all the while just because I had to scroll through all the threads from Part 1 to the current thread. This is to avoid asking questions you gurus have taken time to address in the past.

I really appreciate you all. I heard about this CAN PR thing last year. I simulated my score at the time and it wasn't encouraging. And after I checked how much the POF for a family of four would be, coupled with the facts that age was really no more on my side and more so, I was yet to know of the existence of a goldmine in these threads, I gave up (that last year)!

Hi Chief,

Don't forget that at the airport, you might have to show "proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Canada".

That could include statements of accounts, etc.

Declaring such a small amount might invite a more thorough questioning of your finances.

TheAfrikan:
Goodday Everyone,

I want to ask, " is 250 USD okay for BTA?(I already have accommodation and transportation covered)"

Thank you.
