Another Wack Example : I have a neighbour who happens to be a racist and I have lived next door to him for 20 years. My neighbour has minds his business and I mind mine. But then some weeks ago, a new person moves in across the street and finds out that my next door neighbour is a racist. This is my take on this. To be prejudice is human. We all exercise that right on a daily basis, whether we like it or not. Some claim it is intuition, others accept that it is simple pure right to be selective and that is fine too. It is legal to ascribe to whatever belief we want, it remains however illegal in the country I live in for anyone to try to weild power over me in anyway and for that I am grateful to God.

If I was a police officer doing random searches for concealed knives on the streets on London and I decide to select young men,mainly, for my searches-my decision making here can be seen by many as fitting the definition of prejudice-but it would be a "prejudice" based on tons of indisputable evidence showing that young men are more likely to carry knives than any other segment of society.

ON a daily basis, apart from being able to select the color of the shirt we want to wear, we prejudge situations, people based on some thing or another. Even when it comes to doing business with others. There have persons who refuse to do business with anyone who is Nigeria being afraid of falling victim to 419;etc. So many have been 419ed, is this prejudice?? Is this bad??

In the animal kingdom, we observe that some form of prejudice exists that animals use in selection of prey, partner, home etc. In Religion, we observe that God gives to some what he does not give to others cause He being wiser knows who can handle what better than the other can. I may not necessarily use the word prejudice when I am speaking of God here ( since I happen to be a religious person myself, considering the idea some have when it comes to the definition of the word) but I am sure you can easily get the idea here. I am certain it is clear nature itself seems to have some prejudice ( unless I need to go deeper to explain this). So why attribute this to man alone?

None of what you stated is a prejudice. Selection is different. If for example I wanted to be in the NBA I would not stand a chance because I lack the physical capabilities for it, this is not a prejudice. Neither is selection of the prey for animals . Or God ordaining tasks for human beings, we all have different capacities.

Would the perfect man and women in the biblical sense have had a prejudice on anything? NO
A bias against anything therefore is not warranted unless you can utterly prove that their is underlying difference.

If for example I prefer Honda over Toyota because Honda has better engines does that mean I am prejudice no.
But if I limit myself to marrying from a tribe or girls that are certain colour that is prejudice for no good reason except for preference that is not right.
