uunwanaobong3:Your post aged like milk. You started with "America has entered one chance." Yet the reality is that Iran has lost senior military commanders, IRGC officers, nuclear scientists, strategic facilities, missile infrastructure, air defense systems, and key military assets. That's not the profile of a country comfortably winning a war. You keep talking about America's defeat while Iran has been spending most of its time trying to replace what has already been destroyed. You speak as though Iran has America on its knees. Where? Show us. You predicted the UN would beg Iran to leave America alone. Instead, Iran has been struggling to protect its own strategic assets from repeated strikes. You boast that "air power has never won a war," yet Iran's air defenses have repeatedly been penetrated. When your skies are no longer yours, your speeches don't intercept missiles. The funniest part is your confidence. Every sentence begins with certainty and ends without evidence. "America will collapse." "Iran will get nukes." "The petrodollar will end." "The UN will beg Iran." "America will be incapacitated." Not one of those is an established fact. They're simply wishes masquerading as analysis. Nobody is saying America is invincible or that Iran is weak. But pretending Iran has been "dominating" this conflict after suffering severe military and strategic losses is like watching your house burn down and declaring victory because your neighbor also smelled smoke. This isn't geopolitical analysis. It's emotional cheerleading. Next time, separate what you hope will happen from what has actually happened. Reality doesn't bend to ideology. |

Hezbollah has shown no indication that it intends to stop its attacks on Israel, and from Israel's perspective, remaining solely on the defensive is not seen as a sustainable long-term strategy. This ongoing cycle of hostility continues to fuel tensions and instability in the region." |
FreeStuffsNG:No, that's a misleading headline spin. Trump was referring to oil reserves (strategic petroleum reserves and global supplies), not ammunition ("ammo" .In his G7 press conference, he explained that continued bombing would have kept ships from transiting the Strait of Hormuz (a critical oil chokepoint), leading to rapid depletion of reserves. Direct quotes: “We run out of reserves in about four weeks… There are reserves all over the world, and we would really run out, and there’ll be a time when you wouldn’t be able to get it.” He tied it to economic risks: higher prices, potential "bedlam," or even an international depression if oil facilities or desalination plants were hit harder. The $500-700 million/day figure was about the cost of sustained operations, in the broader context of avoiding prolonged disruption to energy markets. He also defended not striking certain civilian-adjacent targets to prevent a humanitarian crisis or worse economic fallout, while criticizing others (including past Israel policy on Soleimani) and noting civilian casualties on both sides as tragic but sometimes inevitable in war ("mistakes are made" ![]() |

To suggest that Nigeria—a country currently suffocating under a 63% poverty rate, hyperinflation, and a relentless cost-of-living crisis—should introduce more taxes on fuel and telecommunications is not just tone-deaf; it is economically blind and dangerously detached from reality. If the IMF cannot see the catastrophic human cost of its text-book spreadsheets, then it has lost all economic sanity. Here is the reality the IMF refuses to acknowledge: 1. You Cannot Tax a Starving Population The Tinubu administration’s aggressive reforms—floating the Naira and removing the fuel subsidy—have already pushed the Nigerian middle class into poverty and the poor into absolute desperation. Food prices are at historic highs, and transportation costs have crippled small businesses. To propose adding VAT to fuel and levying an excise duty on telecom services (the literal lifelines of the informal economy) is an attempt to squeeze blood from a stone. You cannot tax people who can barely afford one meal a day. 2. The Total Disconnect on Insecurity The IMF looks at numbers; Nigerians look at survival. The current food crisis isn't caused by a lack of tax revenue—it is caused by insecurity. Farmers cannot access their lands due to terrorism and banditry. Businesses are already paying a "heavy private tax" just to provide their own security, electricity, and logistics because the state has failed to provide them. Demanding more tax while failing to guarantee basic safety is a violation of the fundamental contract between a government and its citizens. 3. Squeezing the Poor While Ignoring Government Waste The IMF argues that the government needs fiscal space. But why must that space be carved out of the pockets of vulnerable citizens while the cost of governance remains obscenely bloated? Before lecturing Nigeria on raising VAT, the IMF should demand accountability for lavish political spending, luxury official fleets, and institutional corruption. Squeezing the masses to fund an unaccountable system is not fiscal policy—it is economic exploitation. 4. The Illusion of "Cash Transfers" The IMF conveniently adds a caveat that these taxes should only come when a "fully funded cash transfer system" is in place. This is a delusion. Nigeria’s institutional framework is completely unequipped to distribute transparent, effective welfare to over 130 million multi-dimensionally poor people without the funds being swallowed by bureaucracy and corruption. The Bottom Line: The IMF’s 2026 Article IV report reads like a technical manual written for a laboratory, not a nation of living, breathing, suffering human beings. Pushing these recommendations right now is a recipe for nationwide chaos and social collapse. It is time for international financial institutions to stop treating human survival as a math equation. Nigeria is stretched to its absolute breaking point—do not push it over the edge.

What causes most siblings to grow apart… or even start hating each other? Sometimes it’s not one big fight. Sometimes it’s years of unspoken pain, rivalry, comparison, pride, misunderstandings, or feeling overlooked. One feels the other was loved more. One feels they carried more responsibility. One feels misunderstood. Both may care deeply, but neither knows how to say what really hurts. A lot of sibling conflict isn’t really hate… It’s unresolved pain wearing the face of anger. |

[quote author=EmmyMaestro post=139435993]“If any man keeps malice with me for just 3 days, I’ll sleep with another man” – Lady declares A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her controversial opinion on relationships while reacting to the alleged cheating scandal involving singer Chike and the ex-wife of media personality Frank Edoho. In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the lady defended women who cheat in relationships, claiming that prolonged silence and unresolved issues between couples often push women into the arms of other men. According to her, no woman would remain completely loyal for too long if her partner decides to keep malice instead of resolving problems in the relationship. In her words, she said: “If any man try to keep malice with me in a relationship because we’re having issues, the highest I can be loyal for you is three days. Me and you are dating and we’re quarrelling. I no talk to you, you no come beg me, the highest I can promise you that I won’t give out my body to another man is three days. “So Chike we love you, thank you for being a shoulder for her to cry on when she needed you, we love you and we’re proud of you. For once the men should be proud too. So if you keep keeping malice with your woman, another man will take your place.” Her statement has since generated mixed reactions online, with many social media users criticizing her stance on infidelity, while others argued that communication are important in relationships. The controversy follows ongoing social media discussions surrounding allegations involving Chike and Frank Edoho’s ex-wife, which have continued to trend online. community towtwo don talk... kingjayzeelan07:Instead of focusing government energy on increasing production, creating industries, supporting businesses, improving power supply, fixing roads and boosting citizens’ income, everything now revolves around inventing new ways to squeeze more money out of struggling people. Today it is parking fees, tomorrow another levy. Lagos is gradually turning into a system where every human activity becomes a revenue point for government agents and outsourced collectors. This kind of agbero-style taxation does not solve the real problem of traffic or urban planning. You cannot keep burdening citizens with endless taxes and charges while basic infrastructure remains poor. Nigerians are already battling high transport costs, outrageous rent, inflation, insecurity and poor living conditions. The government should focus more on production, industrial growth and economic opportunities instead of building an economy around collection, penalties and daily extraction from the people. A productive economy creates wealth before taxing it. What we are seeing now is continuous pressure on the populace without corresponding improvement in quality of life. |

For those of you crowing that Trump lost the war, consider the following from someone who analyzes Iran for a think tank. "Ceasefire 1- The United States gained a two-week window to control the oil and gas market and confront the Islamic Republic from a higher and better position. 2- The Islamic Republic lost its card to create a crisis in the oil and gas market. 3- Trump's threat to destroy power plants and bridges elevated the threats from the United States and Israel to the level of threats against the survival of the Islamic Republic, forcing the regime to retreat. 4- This retreat is like the retreat after the final defeats in the war with Iraq, when the regime was forced to accept Resolution 598 to avoid collapse. 5- The retreat under pressure is similar to the acceptance of the JCPOA in 2015 due to fear of economic collapse during that period. 6- Trump intends to include four main conditions in any agreement, which again means the surrender of the Islamic Republic. The four conditions are: halting enrichment, halting the ballistic missile program, cutting support for proxies, and handing over enriched uranium. 7- If the Islamic Republic accepts these conditions, it is surrender; if it does not, the likelihood of war restarting is very high. 8- The Islamic Republic has lost Khamenei and a very large number of its commanders and officials, making this top level of the government structure fragile, while the Islamic Republic has not been able to kill any of the commanders and officials of the United States and Israel. 9- The IRGC Navy commander was killed, and the force itself was severely damaged and cannot be rebuilt anytime soon. 10- The Islamic Republic's air force has been almost completely destroyed, with many bases and aircraft demolished. 11- The country's air defense has been almost completely destroyed and is ineffective. 12- The country's skies are still under the control of the United States and Israel. 13- Most petrochemical industries, as a source of foreign currency revenue, have been destroyed. 14- Many military industries across the country have been destroyed. 15- Many Basij headquarters and bases have been destroyed. 16- Police command centers in the provinces and many police stations have been demolished. 17- The Minister of Intelligence and many of the main managers of this ministry have been killed. 18- The head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization has been killed. 19- The head and deputy of Faraja Intelligence have been killed. Overall, it is a major intelligence failure. 20- The head and deputy of the Basij have been killed. 21- The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces has been killed. 22- Shamkhani, Secretary of the Defense Council, has been killed. The council was unsuccessful in managing the war. 23- The IRGC Commander-in-Chief has been killed. 24- Two heads of the Sepand Organization, responsible for building nuclear weapons for the regime, have been killed. 25- The Minister of Defense has been killed. 26- The Gulf Cooperation Council member states have joined the ranks of the enemies of the Islamic Republic. 27- The route to bypass sanctions through Dubai has been shut down. 28- Friendship with Qatar has been lost and turned into enmity. 29- The country's economy is facing a wave of accumulated demands from the war period and war damages that were deferred during the war and are now flooding the government. 30- The people of Iran, as the most important opposing force against the Islamic Republic, still demand the overthrow of the regime, and after the January massacre, a sea of blood, hatred, and anger has been created between the people and the regime. 31- The ceasefire does not yet mean the end of the war. 32- The Islamic Republic has become even more discredited in the eyes of the people because it abandoned the people and civilians during the war. 33- The Islamic Republic calls these things victory because it hasn't fallen yet. 34- Politics has many ups and downs; patience is required." https://x.com/RezaVaisi/status/2041693098833518976?s=20 |
One thing I know that is sure is Iran will not hesitate to use nuclear bombs if they have it, they would turn the Middle East into radioactive ash. Any government that sends women and children to stand as human shields has already crossed the line, so unleashing nuclear weapons wouldn’t slow them down for a second. |

This one is not even controversial. The U.S. accounts for the largest share of NATO military power (troops, funding, tech, logistics) Many European countries don’t meet the 2% defense spending target Without U.S. intelligence, air power, and naval dominance, NATO operations weaken significantly In simple terms: If America steps back, NATO becomes slow, divided, and less effective, that’s where the “paper tiger” idea comes from. |
