Nollywood actor Yomi Fash-Lanso , has taken to Instagram to share what his dad did when a Pastor told him to sow his new car into his life.

Here's what the actor said his dad taught him, it's quite hilarious;

"When I was a kid, my dad bought a new car and drove us to church one Sunday. It was a prophetic service and our pastor was being used by God that day to deliver people from poverty.

Suddenly, our pastor looked at my dad and said, "Mr. Alamu, God is set to bless you" my mum jumped up and shouted excitedly, "Amen!!!" My dad was excited too.

The pastor then came closer, placed his hand on my dad's head and prayed for him. As our pastor turned to climb the altar, the spirit of God told him something.

He stopped, looked at my dad and said, "Mr. Alamu did you buy a new car last week?" "Yes sir" my dad responded with much surprise on his face.

Then our pastor said; God said I should tell you to sow your CAR KEY into my life"

I was shocked that my dad did not argue with the pastor, he just put his hand in his pocket, brought out the car key and gave it to our pastor.

After about 5 minutes, my dad stood up, went outside the church, he didn't even wait till the end of the service. I could see him entering Okada going home. "He must be very worried" I reasoned in utter fear and confusion.

After a while he returned to church with the SPARE KEY of his car and drove the car back to the house.

I was so stunned at what I was seeing.

So when I asked him why he acted that way he said: "Oluwayomi" always use your brain, the pastor asked for the KEY and NOT the CAR"! Thanking you so much my BABA for impacting knowledge.

A CAC Pastor (Christ Apostolic Church) 'Sanctuary of Blessing', in Iju Ishaga area of Lagos State, Pastor Ibukun Adeyinka, was left dead after hoodlums who stormed his church stabbed him.

The incident has been interpreted as an 'assassination act', as those who killed the pastor did not leave with any property of the church.

Talking about the incident that left her 56-year-old husband dead, the cleric’s wife of 20 years, Olasunbo, said the hoodlums struck around 3am on May 30, 2017, adding that they did not say anything throughout the period of the attack.

She said, “We were asleep when they entered the church. They came to our house and we didn’t know anything was happening until we heard a sound like something was falling. .

There was a power outage, so we couldn’t see clearly. My husband was the first to wake up. They broke into the house through the front door. They didn’t say anything to us even as we asked what they wanted from us. .

I just heard my husband shouting, ‘In Jesus name’. I also re-echoed it, saying ‘Amen, in Jesus name.’ I never knew they had stabbed him in the chest. They left by scaling the church’s fence. .

I saw that my husband had become weak. That was when I knew that they had stabbed him. There was a lot of blood in the room.”

Asked if the men were robbers or assassins, the mother of three said she could not tell because the suspects did not say anything. “They didn’t take anything. Up till now, I can’t say who they are and why they did what they did."

However, a nurse, Amah Eze, who posted about the incident on Facebook, said the hoodlums were absconding after a robbery operation when they took the church as an escape route.

She said, “He was always ringing a bell at 12 midnight for prayers. So humble that whenever he greeted a small girl like me, he always bowed down. Only for absconding thieves to run into his church while he was praying as usual, and cut him with a machete. That’s how he met his death; but God knows best.”

A pastor with Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Uche Okereke of Iyana Ipaja branch, Lagos State, who dragged his 19-year-old daughter's muslim lover, Moruf, to court for impregnating his 17-year-old daughter Chioma and making her abandon her family, was reportedly told to his face by his daughter that she was bound by the relationship and was already pregnant for Moruf in court.

It was gathered that Chioma who abandoned her education at secondary school level, and started living with Moruf who is a fashion designer and of Muslim Faith in their family house, have been dating the latter for 5 years.

Chioma’s father said he has tried for those years to search and bring Chioma back to his house to continue her education to no and avail. He said;

“For the past five years, I have looking for Chioma and did not see her until last week when information got to me where Moruf was hiding her and have changed into Muslim faith.

“She was rescued and Moruf was arrested by the Police and detained at the station.”

PM News reported that at the Police Station, Moruf was accused of abducting Chioma, which she debunked and told the police that Moruf did not abduct her and that they were lovers for years and had agreed to marry.

However, the police charged and arraigned Moruf before Magistrate’s court sitting in Ejigbo with the alleged offence, where Chioma made the remark in the court room.

The presiding Magistrate, Akeem Fashola declined to take Moruf’s plea and referred them to family court.

The first attempts to bring people back from the dead are slated to start this year. Bioquark, a Philadelphia-based company, announced in late 2016 that they believe brain death is not 'irreversible'.

And now, CEO Ira Pastor has revealed they will soon be testing an unprecedented stem cell method on patients in an unidentified country in Latin America, confirming the details in the next few months.

To be declared officially dead in the majority of countries, you have to experience complete and irreversible loss of brain function, or 'brain death'.

According to Pastor, Bioquark has developed a series of injections that can reboot the brain - and they plan to try it out on humans this year.

They have no plans to test on animals first.

The inaugural stage of the trial will likely follow the plans laid out last year for a trial in India, which was thwarted. Initially, Pastor and his collaborator Himanshu Bansal, an orthopedic surgeon, planned to carry out the first tests in India. Days after announcing their ambitions, the plan was blocked by the Indian Council of Medical Research, urging the duo to take their trials somewhere else.

However, the study record detail gave the wider public an idea as to how they plan to approach the trials. The first stage, named 'First In Human Neuro-Regeneration & Neuro-Reanimation' was slated to be a non-randomized, single group 'proof of concept' study.

The team said they planned to examine individuals aged 15-65 declared brain dead from a traumatic brain injury using MRI scans, in order to look for possible signs of brain death reversal. Specifically, they planned to break it down into three stages.

First, they would harvest stem cells from the patient's own blood, and inject this back into their body. Next, the patient would receive a dose of peptides injected into their spinal cord. Finally, they would undergo a 15-day course of nerve stimulation involving lasers and median nerve stimulation to try and bring about the reversal of brain death, whilst monitoring the patients using MRI scans.

The idea of consent in this context is complicated, since the patients are all technically dead. However, the definition of death is also more blurry than it once was. Confirming death used to be straightforward: when the heart stopped beating, a person was unresponsive and no longer breathing, they were dead.

Now it is more complex, since we have more advanced ways to keep oxygen pumping through the body, keeping the brain stem functioning - for example, by keeping a person on a ventilator. It means that most countries today, including the US and the UK, identify death as permanent loss of brain stem function.

The Bioquark trials are part of a broader project called ReAnima. Pastor is on the advisory board for ReAnima. According to the website, the project is 'exploring the potential of cutting edge biomedical technology for human neuro-regeneration and neuro-reanimation.'

Speaking to MailOnline last year, Pastor said: 'The mission of the ReAnima Project is to focus on clinical research in the state of brain death, or irreversible coma, in subjects who have recently met the Uniform Determination of Death Act criteria, but who are still on cardio-pulmonary or trophic support - a classification in many countries around the world known as a "living cadaver"

24-year-old Suleiman Isah and 31-year-old Musa Mohammed from Ankpa, Kogi State, were arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT), for reportedly abducting Chief Imam/Islamic Scholar, Alhaji Jibrin Idris, on February 21.

The suspects Suleiman and Musa were arrested on May 29 at Ninth Mile, Enugu State, and Ayinba in Kogi.

Confessing to the crime, the suspects allegedly confessed to be four in the gang, giving the names of others as Bashir and Mangal. The police said efforts are on to arrest the two members at large.

Taking to Instagram to share her testimony of being offered job as the acting pharmacist in one of the best Egyptian hospitals in Abuja, a former Nigerian Lesbian Sophia disclosed how God instructed her to quit the club and being a lesbian while holding a 'You weren’t born gay' sign.

South African rapper, AKA, has been called out by his fans and a rapper for reportedly cancelling his appearance at Mzansi Hip Hop Festival at the last minute, and going on to tweet details about the Champions League, his reasons being that the turnout for the concert was below his standard.

Replying a fan who queried him on Twitter, the rapper tweeted;

“There wasn’t enough people for me to perform. 500 minimum, “It’s in my contract.”
However his response got one of the event’s headliners Ntukzasa angry, and he called out the rapper on Twitter for tweeting alternative facts.

However AKA on his own part insisted that the turnout was poor and that was why he backed out. The rapper added that he promised to perform at the next show, when he is sure the turnout meets his standard.

I’m Bukola Ayinde, Founder of P4:13 Foundation and author of Diary of a Special Needs Mum. Getting a diagnosis which says your child has Cerebral Palsy is a parent’s worst nightmare. I had my period of living in denial; wishing the problem would go away, like it was all a dream, but the reality stared me in the face.

My husband and I decided to face the challenge before us squarely.

We engaged different specialists; Neurologist, Paediatrician, Physiotherapist, Speech therapist, Occupational therapist, Special Needs Care Givers. At one point we were scouting for a very good physiotherapist.

A parent of a special needs child recommended a young lady to me. I mentioned her name {Bisola Anthonia Abayomi Ojo} to one of my daughter’s therapist who confirmed that the lady was very good at her job. However, she also confirmed that the lady could be arrogant. I spoke with another therapist on the field who also confirmed that the recommended Physiotherapist was good at what she does but she could be rude.

Well, at that point of my life, I didn’t mind if she was going to be rude to me or arrogant as far as she was as good as everyone had said, I was fine with that. All I wanted was to see was my child’s improvement, I could take any sh*t in between.

She came on board as my daughter’s physiotherapist. She was very professional and dedicated, but she didn’t come cheap. She didn’t come cheap at all.
My daughter attended a mainstream school that allowed her to use the sickbay as her pullout room for her physiotherapy session.

In June 2016, my daughter’s school proprietress requested that my husband and I should make out time to see her. When we eventually did a week later, she told us that the physiotherapist had manhandled our daughter and she was going to show us a CCTV recording to prove it.

At the back of my mind I felt the woman was exaggerating because therapy could be demanding at times. My child may cry, if she didn’t like the exercise or if the exercise was tasking.
However, when I watched the video, I was shocked beyond words that someone I trusted with my daughter could treat her worse than an animal. I believe that even an animal shouldn’t be treated that way.

I mean, she came highly recommended; she is a Masters degree holder. She is not an illiterate.
Apparently she didn’t remember that there was a CCTV in the room or she felt nobody would be checking the TV at that particular time.

It was heartbreaking to see my daughter treated by a health worker in such a barbaric act.
I watched my daughter as she fell down several times hitting her head on the tiles. There were times she hit her head on the edge of the wooden bed before falling to the ground.

Her Physiotherapist slapped her three times; the third time with her cell phone. She left her head hanging upside for 5 minutes. She twisted my daughter’s hands several times; at a point she sat on her hands, at another point she tied her hands behind her head. I watched as my daughter fell from her chair while her neck was stuck in between the space at the vertical back rest and the flat wood used for sitting down. I watched on as this lady typed on her phone 90% of the time only taking some time off to torture my daughter. Did I mention that she took out time to take her selfie? Up to five times.

After we watched the recording, my husband could not control his tears. My heart bled.
My daughter’s Neurologist said we cannot ascertain the level of damage to her brain because we did not bring her immediately it happened. He said an MRI would have been done to ascertain any damage.
I got her arrested.
She said she was sorry
She claimed depression and ill health
I didn’t believe her then, I don’t believe her now.

I had to make a decision, to leave my daughter in the hands of her nannies at home (which may be another source of abuse) and follow through to ensure the physiotherapist was duly punished. (Bearing in mind the justice system in Nigeria) or drop the charges lodged at the police station and allow Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board at Yaba to handle the matter.

I dropped the police charges. I decided to stay with my traumatized daughter.
I handed the Physiotherapist over to the Registrar at Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board at Yaba.

Her punishment:
• Three months withdrawal of her practicing license.
• Three months work in a general hospital under supervision without pay
• She was to undergo a psychiatric test
Like seriously? Are you kidding me?
She had been practicing for a year without renewing her license and all you could do was to withdraw her license officially for a mere three months?

She went back to the Registrar at Medical Rehabilitation Therapists to ask for permission to travel to USA to get treatment.

I called to check on the case, and I was told she had travelled for treatment
I was told not to worry as she cannot practice anywhere else in the world without a letter from the board.
Some months later, I was told by a reliable source that she was not taking any major treatments but attending a Masters programme in US.

So she got away with child abuse, assault, battery, in fact attempted murder.
This is only possible in Nigeria right?

I went back to Medical Rehabilitation Center, I was shocked to find out that the case had gone cold.
What stops her from coming back into the country and working with other children?
How many Nigerians ask for practicing license before employing a professional?

I strongly believe that the least the board should have done was to declare her unfit to work with children.
In respect to my daughter, the signs were there: She had been withdrawn for a while in fact she had stop smiling, interacting with anybody in the house or attempting to answer questions in school. I kept asking the care giver that followed her to school about the sudden change. The caregiver said she had no idea. I came up with my own theory and I brushed it aside.

How would I have known that a health worker, someone I trusted with my child could be so cruel? The Physiotherapist had been with us for over two years. I can only imagine….

Well, I pulled my daughter out of school and started her own mini school at home. I let go of my current caregivers for good reasons and got new ones. With care and love, she added weight, came out of her shell and got better. Right now she attends a school three times a week and we are making progress.

Child abuse is real…from the people you least expect. Protect your children.

Following the imprisonment of Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe’s husband, Lanre Gentry and marital crisis show that have been put up on social media by the couple, the Lagos State Government has written to the Nigerian Police, demanding that it forward the duplicate of the case file on alleged assault on the Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe by her husband, Lanre Gentry.

According to Vanguard, the request for the case file shows the State Government’s resolve not to back down from the case between actress and her husband. The couple The State Government in a letter written through the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, DPP, May 22, indicated its interest in prosecuting the alleged case of assault. Vanguard gathered that the resolve to write the Police, was sequel to the result of the medical check-up conducted on the actress that indicated alleged assault by her husband.

It was also gathered that aside writing to the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigative Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos Mainland Local Government, DPP also copied other relevant agencies, to alert them of its plan. The State Government argued that the assault contravene sections 171, 243 and 244 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

It would be recalled that Coordinator of the State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, DSVRT, Mrs. Titilola Vivour- Adeniyi, had during his sensitization programmes argued that Domestic Violence is a crime committed against the State. She explained that if anyone is beaten or suffered abused, the State is also being abused, noting, we must begin to renew our mindsets and treat Domestic Violence for what it is; a crime against the State.

Also, the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem, had during this year’s ministerial briefing said: “The DPP is committed to ensuring that all offenders are brought to book thereby discouraging impunity in our society. “We are also committed to speedy trials, especially so that suspects are not detained for too long awaiting trial. It is our belief that both the victims of a crime and the alleged offenders deserve to have their cases resolved at the earliest possible time,” he added.

As a way of checkmating and reforming morals in the country, Burundi government has ordered all unmarried couples to legalize their relationships before the end of the year.



The government gave the order on Friday following the launch of a campaign this month by President Pierre Nkurunziza to moralise society.



Burundi's Interior ministry spokesman Terence Ntahiraja said the country was facing a population explosion which he blamed on “illegal marriages”, polygamy, bigamy and “hundreds of schoolgirls getting pregnant”.



He said church and state-sanctioned weddings were the solution and were a patriotic duty. Nkurunziza said Burundians should show their love for each other — and their country — by getting married.



The government has since been pressuring unwed couples across the country to tie the knot.



The governor of the southeastern province of Rutana has ordered that “persons living in common-law unions” should be put on a special list by June 22, while the governor of the northwestern Bubanza province has demanded unspecified “sanctions” against aisle-dodgers.



Pierre, a 27-year-old farmer living with his partner in Ngozi, said local officials had threatened him with a 50,000 Burundian franc ($25/22 euro) fine and said any child born out of wedlock would not be eligible for free education and medical costs.



Pierre said he had not married because he could not afford the bride price demanded by his girlfriend’s family.

“She told me she was pregnant. As I am poor, we decided to come together to raise our child,” he said.



“We thought we would legalise our union as soon as we could afford it.” That was five years ago and the couple is now onto their third child.



To enact the president’s orders, officials have begun organising mass weddings, something one civil society activist opposed as “a violation of human rights because the state has no right to attack two adults who have decided to live together without being married.”

A KAI official (Kick Against Indiscipline ), Moshood Ayeni, lost his life after angry hawkers who reacted to the arrest of their mates Jeremiah Nnana and Orich Nwofokoh who displayed their wares in traffic, stoned the deceased and his team at Iyana-Oworo area of Lagos.

In the press statement released by the agency’s spokesperson, Alabi Rahmat, it was gathered that the mob pelted the KAI official vehicle with stones, one of which hit the deceased and fell him from the moving vehicle.

“The enforcement officials were returning from an assignment when they saw the traders and tried to do their jobs. They saw the traders hawking in traffic by Car Wash and arrested Jeremiah Nnana and Orich Nwofokoh both selling sausage and phone accessories.
The suspects were taken into the agency’s vehicle marked KRD643DS. Suddenly their colleagues, who had escaped came back and pelted the officials with stones. The hawkers started shouting and calling the KAI officials thief.
The stones thrown by the rampaging hawkers hit the victim on his head inside the vehicle and he fell down and became unconscious” she said.

She further disclosed that the victim was rushed to the state’s emergency centre, where he was referred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) but was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to The Nation, KAI’s Marshal General, Jimoh Amusat, also condemned the act, noting that the deceased was only doing his lawful duty.

The parents of the 82 Chibok schoolgirls who were released after being held for more than three years by Boko Haram, are currently in Abuja where they will be reuniting with the family.

Recall that Nigeria's Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development, Aisha Alhassan, had on May 11 promised that the students’ parents will travel from the remote northeastern town in Borno state to meet their daughters in the capital, Abuja.
