Nigerian playboy Kolawole “Kola” Aluko is the owner of the 79th-floor penthouse at the One57 tower on “Billionaires’ Row” — it’s a swanky pad that could become the biggest residential foreclosure in New York history, The Post has learned.

The 48-year-old energy tycoon — who is pals with Jay Z, Beyoncé and Naomi Campbell — hasn’t been paying his bills on the $50.9 million luxury condo, and a European bank is forcing a sale next month.

The Luxembourg-based Banque Havilland, which issued a $35.3 million mortgage on the 6,240-square-foot spread at 157 E. 57th St., has listed as collateral Aluko’s 213-foot yacht, the Galactica Star, and is looking to collect what it’s owed plus interest, court documents show.

On top of the unpaid mortgage that came due last fall, Aluko also has been racking up maintenance fees and taxes on the property. He has not been seen for some time, prompting speculation that he is hiding out on the Galactica Star.

The boat — which Aluko rented to Jay Z and Beyoncé in 2015 for $900,000 a week — was last registered in Freeport, the Bahamas, on May 3, but is currently “out of range,” yacht trackers said.

According to sources, Aluko did appear with the yacht at the ill-fated Ja Rule Fyre Festival music event in the Bahamas in late April. Prior to that, the Galactica Star left Cabo last year and was briefly berthed in Turkey, records show. Aluko is close pals with Leonardo DiCaprio, and partied with the Oscar winner at his birthday in New York in 2013. Reps for Aluko confirmed at the time that he had made a large donation to DiCaprio’s environmental charity.

Lately, Aluko has been dodging Nigerian authorities, who in February tried to freeze his assets including the apartment as part of a money-laundering probe. Aluko, who claims Switzerland as his residence, was among those who allegedly obtained lucrative contracts from Nigeria’s former oil minister, who has also been accused in a $1.76 billion scheme to defraud the government of oil sale profits that both have denied.

The alleged plot may have parked the money in assets around the world, including jets, automobiles and pricey real estate in London, Sweden, Dubai, New York and California. Aluko has been busy flipping many of the expensive properties he’s bought.

In Montecito, Calif., Gwyneth Paltrow paid Aluko an undermarket $4.9 million for a 2.4-acre estate that was equipped with a massive pool. In 2012, Aluko paid $14.7 million for an 11,478-square-foot manse in Beverly Hills that was rented to Ariana Grande.

The singer had to leave when Aluko sold it for just $13 million in 2016.

More recently, a shell company controlled by Aluko has been trying to unload an apartment at 1049 Fifth Ave., which it bought for $8.5 million in 2013. The apartment, whose two combined units boast four bedrooms and four bathrooms, a maid’s apartment and two storage units, has liens on it of more than $20,000, and it owes $61,000 in taxes to the city as of July 1.

Luxury skyscraper One57, built by real estate mogul Gary Barnett’s Extell Development, holds the sales record for a full-floor apartment, with one unit that sold for $100.5 million. But with lots of competition from new Billionaires’ Row towers, including 432 Park Ave., it has become harder to sell and rent mega-priced condos.

Red Media Boss, and President Buhari's media strategist in the 2015 Presidential election, Chude Jideonwo has taken to Instagram to write a heartwarming post on meeting a homeless man in Lagos by 2 a.m.

According to him, he met this man after his car's 3 tyres went flat. Here's what he wrote;

"So, my car went into a huge pot-hole at about 2am today, on my way from Akpororo's excellent show. And then three of my tyres - THREE - went kaput. Kaput. Metal on road. I kept driving for about 5 minutes until I found a well lit place to park.

I came out with my ipad and my phone, and then a guy - he later told me his name is Fatai - emerged from under the Empire bus stop bridge and asked what was wrong. The to-the-point cliche about the exact kind of person you should run away from when you're stuck on the road at 2am - no one else with you, or around. I explained, and told him I was going to get help. I already resigned myself to being 'obtained' on some level.

But then he said, it's okay, he would stand watch over the car from me. He would keep it safe while I found a solution. And he did. As did the taxi driver who helped me go round finding spare tyres all around Surulere. Both of them became my guardian angels, telling me what to do, helping me change my tyres, assuring me I'd be fine.

It still makes no sense to me, you know? It would have been more rewarding for Fatai to take my phone, my iPad or something from the car. What possesses a man who has no home, and hangs around bridges at night and even has no phone l to choose empathy / even if in hope of a tip / over easy theft? To commit to helping a stranger in the middle of the night, and to keep his word? I am glad for the burst tyres. I seriously am.

Any experience that refreshes my faith in the human spirit is a gift. /// Including my team members - three of them - who insisted on coming out at 3am to help. Thank you, Jesus for sending me angels. I live for moments like this!"

Michael Adebolajo, the Nigerian terrorist and Muslim extremist who murdered defenceless 25-year-old Fusilier Lee Rigby, near his barracks in Woolwich Barracks, South East London in 2013 with his accomplice Michael Adebowale, is now regarded as the most dangerous prisoner in the British penal system.

It was gathered that the 31-year-old terrorist, has made dozens of fellow prisoners fall for his twisted version of Islam and have vowed to become Jihadis when they are eventually freed. 

A prison officer as “violent, unpredictable and a major danger to other prisoners”. But the real threat he poses is his ability to radicalize other inmates, prison sources have revealed, as even non-Muslim prisoners are said to have converted to Islam and sworn an allegiance to Islamic State after being radicalized by the killer. 

One prison official, according to Mirror Online said:

“Adebolajo spends most of his waking hours preaching his distorted form of Islam to anyone who will listen. He sees every inmate as a potential Islamic State soldier whether they are Muslims or not.
He has a big personality and is very charismatic and some of the more vulnerable prisoners will fall under his spell. He is a very dangerous individual.” 


The source said that Adebolajo now sees his role in life to recruit as many Jihadis as possible for the remainder of his life. It is understood that Adebolajo has been given “special category” status because of the danger he represents. 



The source added: “If he is suspected of trying to radicalise other inmates we step in and move him. But even in prison, Adebolajo cannot be watched all the time. We don’t have the staff or the resources.”

A 47-year-old butcher, Aminu Umar, has been arrested for reportedly raping 4-year-old and 7-year-old siblings and infecting them with Sexually Transmitted Disease.

It was gathered that the incident which happened at 5 Salako street in Oko- Oba in Lagos, left the girls’ private parts almost decaying and now discharging a liquid substance according to parents of the victims.

The parents of the victims also alleged that the suspect will always lure their daughters with bobo drinks upon his return from work each day, unknown to them, he had been having sex with their daughters.

The act was exposed when their mother took one of them to the bathroom to bath her. It was gathered that when the mother attempted to wash her private part, she started crying and complained that it was paining her since Umar put his “thing” inside it.


According to the 7-year old victim, “Umar lured us into his room and gave us Bobo.
Thereafter, he removed his clothes, our pants and clothes too and carried us to his bed where he was putting his penis into our vagina”.

When the mother checked the victims’ private parts, there were bruises showing forceful penetration. The matter was then reported to the Police and Umar was arrested and charged to court.

He pleaded not guilty. The presiding Magistrate, Mrs Davis Abegunde, granted him bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum. Umar was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was adjourned till June, 26, 2017.

After storming a hotel in Delta State his married neighbour and his wife lodged in with backups, a heartbroken husband decided to disgrace his neighbour on camera.

A viral footage on social media, reveals that the aggrieved husband stripped the man naked, as they forced him to pose for filming.

The Lagos Government have announced that it will begin evacuating abandoned vehicles , disused vehicles and tricycles littering the state.

According to message on the state government’s Facebook page, a taskforce that will carry this out have already been inaugurated, as the exercise is scheduled to kick off from July 1, 2017.

Here’s the message;

“LASG inaugurates committee to decongest traffic in central Lagos
The Lagos State Government through the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts has inaugurated a Committee to proffer ways of eliminating the traffic congestion along the Apongbon-Marina axis of Lagos Island.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts, Hon. Agboola Dabiri while inaugurating the Committee in Alausa said the traffic menace has become a source of concern for the government and therefore, it is being tackled head-on to find an enduring solution to the perennial logjam.

Dabiri urged members of the Committee to “please find a lasting situation that will reduce drastically the perennial traffic situation on the Apongbon Marina axis, just as it was done in Oshodi”.
Speaking further, he informed the Committee members that “about 5000 vehicles come into the Island daily and most of them come to do business in the Apongbon, Idumota and Marina axis” and asked them to proffer solutions on how well to manage the high traffic experienced daily along the routes.
The Special Adviser disclosed that as part of efforts at reducing the traffic situation in the area, a new park has been approved in Ajegboro, Leventis on Lagos Island for use by commercial vehicles to load and offload passengers instead of discharging passengers directly on the road.
The Committee is expected to submit its report within one week.”

Talking about the aftermath of his initiation into the Eiye Confraternity, 27-year-old robbery suspect, Nurudeen a.k.a “Onyabo”, who reportedly shot a police officer in the leg while trying to dispossess a delivery man of some expensive phones one of the gang members had ordered online, for delivery at a specific address around LASU – Iba Road, disclosed he was trained to kill by the cult group. 

It was gathered that the trained tailor turned okada rider, Onyabo, shot the officer twice in the leg to avoid arrest.

Following the launch of campaign to ban smoking in public places including motor parks, shopping malls and health care centres, the Nigerian government in a communiqué has said it is going to enforce Section 9 of the Nigeria Tobacco Control Act 2015, which says that once convicted, offenders are liable to a fine of at least N50, 000 and/or six months’ imprisonment.

The Ministry of Health in its 'Clean Air Campaign',  said the law would henceforth be taken seriously in a bid to protect and promote the citizens’ right to health, life, physical integrity and safety.

According to Punch, to carry out the campaign successfully, the ministry also said it was being supported by the Cancer Society of Nigeria, World Health Organisation, ONE Campaign, Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, Civil Society Organisations and the Tobacco Free Kids based in Washington DC, United States.

Nollywood Actor, Jude Orhorha, in a chat with Saturday Beats, disclosed that he regrets aborting his first child till date when asked about an encounter which he would never forget in life.

Here's what he said;

“I am regretting the fact that if I had my first baby when I was about 22 years old, I would know how old the child would be now. A girl who got pregnant for me in 1992 aborted the child. Back then, there was no GSM so she stayed away from me. After the abortion, she then came back to meet me to tell me that her mother said she should not keep it and when I asked her what she meant, she opened up to me. She is Igbo but I am from Urhobo.

She said that her mother said she should not keep the baby because I did not have money. Back then, it was the Igbo marketers who were selling spare parts that were making waves. They were the ones who had money. In the late 80s and early 90s, there was nothing like Nollywood but only those that were selling electronics.

It was the guys that sold spare parts that were making money and they dated all the Igbo girls, both the ones in school and the ones at home. So if you were not selling spare parts, you were not regarded as a rich person. The girl left me because her mother told her not to date me anymore. Unfortunately, there was nothing like mobile phones; if not I am sure she would have called me. She just left for about two months. When she told me, I broke up with her immediately because I am a Catholic just like my mother,” he said.

 “My mother frowns at anything that has to do with abortion and I was staying under her roof; so there is no way the girl would have aborted the child. I broke up with her immediately. I have not seen her ever since but I learnt she is in London now. Even when I travelled to London, I did not see her even though I searched for her in UK. The burial ceremony of Facebook user Oluwa Success a.k.a Gbaja Marine an alleged Eiye cult group member from Sapele Nigeria, who was killed in May in Ghana where he lived, by rival Vikings cult, has been held.

Giving an update on the case of 42 year old preacher, Eunice Elisha, who was hacked to death while she was preaching in Abuja on July 9th 2016, Nigeria's Police Public Relations Officer, Moshood Jimoh, who spoke with Premium Times, said that the police cannot confirm whether it has arrested any suspect linked to the case.

He went further to say, that the Police Force cannot manufacture suspects in any case.

“I won’t tell you that. We cannot manufacture suspects. You know that in murder related cases, and all capital related offences, it usually takes years.

At times the suspect may be resting and feeling that they have escaped successfully, but I can tell you that investigation is ongoing and has gone far. You know that the family has relocated. It took a lot of time to get the husband of the deceased to come and testify, after the case was brought here.

Nollywood Actress, Stella Damasus, who had a face-off with a follower who called her a ‘husband snatcher’ after she shared beautiful photos she took with her husband, Daniel Ademinokan, has written a rejoinder to the face-off.

According to her, the ‘enemy’ is is afraid of what she shares and about to achieve with her husband, and so sends his people he has kept in his prison of hate to steal joy and peace.

Here’s what she wrote, as she shared more photos that has her husband in it;

A Swedish court have handed a Ghanaian football player in Gävle, Sweden, a two year jail sentence for raping and assaulting his wife.

The Gävle District Court also disclosed that 22-year-old Kwame Bonsu, who plays for Gefle IF club, will be expelled from the Scandinavian country where he has lived since 2013.

His club Gefle on Friday also said Bonsu was dismissed from the team with immediate effect. According to court documents seen by The Local he will also have to pay 122,600 kronor ($14,000) in compensation to his wife, who is a Swedish national. He first met her in 2014 when he was playing in the southern Swedish city of Mjölby.

They married the following year. A few months after the wedding he signed a transfer to the town of Gävle, located about 300 kilometres away from Mjölby. Bonsu's wife had wanted him to stay to continue his studies.

The victim said the rape and beatings took place in the couple's apartment during an evening in November 2015 when he had refused to let her out. Bonsu repeatedly denied the charges, but testimony from his wife's relatives led the court to believe the victim's version of events. His lawyer has appealed the sentence.

Oasis MedSpa boss and Iyanya’s ex-girlfriend Freda Francis, who has never been in the news for social media fights slammed a troll who dropped a rather rude comment on the baby bump photo she shared on Snapchat.

Here follower who commented on the photo wrote;

“Who is the father of this child you are carrying. Another babymama carrying a child with an unknown father”
However shutting him down and setting him straight, Freda Francis replied; “Is ya boyfriend’s sperm missing?” She asked, adding the necessary emojis, sending the troll off her page.

Freda’s pregnancy report first surfaced on April, when the businesswoman was said to be 7 months gone after she was spotted in London, shopping for baby items.

A source close to Ms Francis said at that time;

”She is showing already but you will think she is just about three months gone.
“She is one of those Lucky ones who could be pregnant for nine months and no one will know.”

For conspiring with her lover to kill her German husband in 2016, a Kenyan woman based in Germany was dragged to court on Wednesday.

According to reports, Armina A. a mother of two and her lover, Jan D conspired and killed her husband, Ekkehart H while she was making love with him at their home in Ebersdorf, as German newspaper Bild reports that there are court documents backing this claim.

Here’s how Bild reported the story;

“On the said day, Armina is said to have let her lover into the house and led him into the basement where she had a machete which had a blade of about 40cm.

Her lover then wore a mask and gloves and waited for Ekkehart to come back home from work.

When her husband got home, Armina initiated sexual contact which led them to have intercourse. As the couple engaged in the act, Jan D came from behind and slit Ekkehart’s throat.

He attempted to slice him on the shin but missed slashing Armina’s Achilles tendon.

After the carrying out the act, Jan D ran away as Armina went outside “seeking help” from neighbors saying that they had been attacked by three masked men. Luckily, the couple’s two children were asleep and did not witness what happened.

Following the gruesome killing, an investigation revealed that Armina claims that someone had been threatening her husband and unknowingly implicated Jan D.

When Jan D was arrested, he admitted to the crime and confessed that he had a hand in the killing which was planned by the deceased wife.

In the light of the revelation, neighbors in nicknamed Armina, the black widow of Ebersdorf.”

The Kenyan woman whose 11-days trial started on Wednesday with about 62 witnesses and 7 experts featuring in the case, has repeatedly cheated on her husband with other men.

Armina and Ekkehart met in Kenya as the businessman was on vacation and they got married in 2007.

Nasarawa State Police command have arrested a 27-year-old man, who has been identified as Ibrahim Usabatu for sexually abusing three under-age girls in Tudun Abu, Lafia LGA of the state.

It was gathered that Ibrahim who is also a herbalist, reportedly slept in a mosque before he was accommodated by his victims’ family in Tudun Abu. Usabatu, and have also accepted that he had sexual intercourse with the children.



“I am in police custody because I raped three of my cousins. It happened as a mistake, it was the devil that pushed me to commit the crime,” he said. The victims’ parents called on the police to ensure that justice is done in the matter.

Talking about suspecting Ibrahim for a long while, one of the sexually abused kids' parent who pleaded anonymity said;



“One fateful day when I saw my daughter, I started suspecting something between the two of them; in fact, I had been trailing him for some months.



If we are inside the house, he would come outside and if we are outside he would remain inside pretending to be teaching the kids lessons. When I discovered what he was doing to the kids, I did not hesitate to ask my daughter, and she gave details of what transpired between her, the other two under-age girls and Usabatu.”



Punch reports that the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Kennedy Idirisu, said the suspect would be prosecuted as soon as investigation was concluded. He called on parents to “always put an eye on their wards.”
