GBWhatsApp officially Shuts Down: For some Android users, this may be the worst news of the century.

The almighty GBWhatsApp has officially being put to an end. GBWhatsApp is very popular and beats shoulder with the official WhatsApp.

Out of the 1billion+ people using Whatsapp, over 80million+ people use the moded WhatsApp (unofficial WhatsApp is better known as GBWhatsApp).

Earlier this year, WhatsApp INC warned users from using the GBWhatsApp as it risks their privacy. Same this year, WhatsApp started banning users of GBWhatsApp temporary.

The temporary ban issued to unofficial WhatsApp users is such an annoying one that won’t let you have a breathing space until you do away with it and install the official app.

After WhatsApp did this, developers of GBWhatsApp decided to top their game by setting up an anti-ban feature which will prevent GBWhatsApp users from being banned.

Did the anti-ban feature really save GBWhatsApp and its users?

For some time it worked, but did it still prevent the annoying WhatsApp temporary ban to take effect? NO!

Apart from the temporary ban, WhatsApp threatened to file a lawsuit against GBWhatsApp developers if they fail to bring down the platform.

What is GBWhatsApp?

Gbwhatsapp is an unofficial cloned copy of the original WhatsApp which themselves claimed that GBWhatsApp developers go against their terms of service and risks users privacy.
GBWhatsApp is used by over 80million+ people out of the 1billion users of WhatsApp worldwide.

Earlier this month, August 1st, 2019 the developers of GBWhatsApp announced the official closure of the app on their Telegram channel and will no longer give updates to the application.

According to GBModes Official on telegram, here is what they wrote:

We are really sorry to announce that we have completely stopped the development of GBWhatsApp. It was a great time with all you people. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hence we have Closed all the Site, Social Accounts, and Everything. There will be no further development.

GBWhatsApp can’t be found on Google play store because it’s not an official/authorized app.

You can only Download GBWhatsApp on third-party websites which at the end may lead to downloading of virus and other unwanted apps.

If you are a regular reader of tech news, you would understand that this war against GBWhatsApp developers started early this year and WhatsApp did not go easy on them until the needful was done.

Like is stated in my previous article, if you are still using GBWhatsApp and yet to get the temporary ban notification, worry not, you will receive yours soon because WhatsApp is sending out these bans in batch.

And if you still have the unofficial WhatsApp, henceforth, you will no longer get any update from the developers.

The said lecturer is the Head of Department (HOD), Engineering Faculty.

Facebook Messenger now lets you “remove for everyone” (delete for everyone)

Facebook messenger has topped its game. This time around, Mark and his tech team have added the ability for users to delete messages they sent by mistake.

Just like the WhatsApp amazing feature “Delete for everyone” now you can do same on Facebook messenger.

You now have the ability to revoke and delete messages after you have sent it out to your friends.

The feature rolled out early 2019. Following up the test of this feature, I discovered you can delete a message you have sent to your friends on or before 8 minutes.

Just like on WhatsApp messenger app, when you mistakenly send a message or a wrong message, you will be provided with the option to delete it for yourself alone or for everyone within the space of 7 minutes.

Same now applies to Facebook messenger, when you send a message to the wrong person, you will now be able to delete it for yourself or for everyone.

In the case of the messenger, you won’t get the note like the popular notes on WhatsApp which reads “Delete for me”, “Delete for everyone” rather what you will see on your Facebook messenger is “Remove for me” and ” Remove for everyone”.

Wondering what these two notes mean?

This feature allows you to delete a message you mistakenly sent to someone or your friend. From your own personal inbox meanwhile, the message will still appear in the inbox of the person you sent it to.

Some people do this when they feel they have sent a message that is not appropriate. For that reason, they don’t want that message to remind them of the pains or embarrassment it caused them. So they would prefer not to see the message in their inbox again even when they know full well that the message still appears in the inbox of the other person.

But who would still want to use that feature when the Facebook messenger has already made it possible for you to delete it in your inbox and the inbox of the other person when received it.

Remove for everyone:

This is the latest feature on Facebook messenger that I’m talking about. With this feature, you can now delete or revoke messages mistakenly sent to your friends without them seeing it (that’s if you are able to delete it on or before 8minutes).

When you mistakenly send an unwanted message to your friend or someone, with this feature you don’t need to worry again all you just have to do is to remove it for everyone.

How to delete for everyone on Facebook messenger

Want to remove message for everyone on Facebook messenger? Follow these simple steps

1. When you send the message to someone and discovered it was a wrong message, or there was a mistake.

2. Long press on the message and the option Remove for me or remove for everyone pops up.

3. Click on Remove for everyone and boom the message is deleted from your inbox and the inbox of the person you sent it to. While trying to remove it for everyone, you will get a prompt notification which reads

“You’ll permanently remove this message for all chat members. They can see you removed a message and still report it.”

Where it all started from. On the 18th of April 2019, after lectures we were all in class having fun o.. (chatting , dancing, teasing each other ) until one funny thing happened. Some persons started taking pictures and I happened to be one of them. Chris said "snap me and Joy". the next thing Chris did was to hold my ring finger and pretended like he was actually proposing to me. This singular act caught everyone's attention and they started shouting and taking pictures.
That day passed.

Auditions for one of Nigeria's biggest TV reality show, Big Brother Naija 2019 season 4 kicked off yesterday the 1st of February, 2019 and would be ending today the 2nd of February, 2019.

Polaris Bank will reportedly be put up for sale after the 2019 elections, coming months after it was taken over from Skye Bank. According to Reuters, this was disclosed by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) spokesman, Jude Nwauzor, on Tuesday.

Speaking on plans for the sale of the bank, Nwauzor said:

“The election season has slowed down things. We would advertise for expressions of interest from investors after elections and commence the sale process”.

In September 2018, Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, had announced the revoking of the licence of defunct Skye Bank. Polaris was established as a bridge bank to assume the assets and liabilities of the bank.

Emefiele had said: “As a responsible and responsive regulator and in consultation with the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), we have decided to establish a bridge bank, Polaris Bank, to assume the assets and liabilities of Skye Bank.

The strategy is for the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) to capitalise the Bridge Bank and begin the process of sourcing investors to buy out AMCON. By this decision, the licence of the defunct Skye Bank is hereby revoked.”

A young man has just been declared missing in Enugu State, Enugu. One of his friends have taken to social media to share his picture and hoping that good willing Nigerians will help find him.

The young man who was identified as Israel Okoye is a (400) final year Mass Communication student of Enugu State University of Science And Technology (ESUT).

Israel Okoye was declared missing on the 15th of January, 2019. According to a phone call JTCBLOG had with Israel Okoye brother, Michael, he narrated that Israel Okoye who lives in school got a call from a strange number that faithful day, and he left in a hurry. Since then, he has not returned.

A young lady allegedly stripped unclad and ran mad at the Abkpa area of Enugu, Tuesdays after she dropped from a public bus at Texaco filling station. On waiting to get another bus that will take her to Obiagu, she started stripping herself.

According to passersby, they claimed the young lady must have been used for some money rituals.

Goods Worth Millions Of Naira Lost As 10 Shops Get Razed Down By Fire In Surulere Lagos (Photos)

Over 10 shops and goods worth millions of Naira have been completely destroyed by fire outbreak yesterday around Akewukewe, Sanya, Aguda Surulere Lagos, Groovenaija360 Reports.

According to an Eyewitness who confirmed the incident to our reporter, said that the fire was caused by an electric spark from a faulty transformer close to the shops. However, PHCN officials were seen yesterday fixing a (faulty pole) on Ehi Street, Ijesa.

It was gathered that residents and owners of the shops woke up to see the heart-shocking outbreak which destroyed all their goods with no pin left.

The Board of Diamond Bank Plc (“Diamond Bank”) today announces that following a strategic review leading to a competitive process, the Board has selected Access Bank Plc (“Access Bank”) as the preferred bidder with respect to a potential merger of the two banks (“the merger”) that will create Nigeria and Africa’s largest retail bank by customers.

The Board of Diamond Bank believes that the merger is in the best interest of all stakeholders including, employees, customers, depositors and shareholders and has agreed to recommend the offer to Diamond Bank’s shareholders. Completion of the merger is subject to certain shareholder and regulatory approvals.

The proposed merger would involve Access Bank acquiring the entire issued share capital of Diamond Bank in exchange for a combination of cash and shares in Access Bank via a Scheme of Merger. Based on the agreement reached by the Boards of the two financial institutions, Diamond Bank shareholders will receive a consideration of N3.13 per share, comprising of N1.00 per share in cash and the allotment of 2 New Access Bank ordinary shares for every 7 Diamond Bank ordinary shares held as at the Implementation Date.

The offer represents a premium of 260% to the closing market price of N0.87 per share of Diamond Bank on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (“NSE”) as of December 13, 2018, the date of the final binding offer.

Immediately following completion of the merger, Diamond Bank would be absorbed into Access Bank and it will cease to exist under Nigerian law.

The current listing of Diamond Bank’s shares on the NSE and the listing of Diamond Bank’s global depositary receipts on the London Stock Exchange will be canceled, upon the merger becoming effective.

Diamond Bank expects the transaction to complete in the first half of 2019.

Uzoma Dozie, the Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Bank, said:

One Chinenye Ndubuife who reportedly murdered her neighbor’s 2-year-old son has revealed she killed him because his father damaged her womb.

According to reports, Ndubuife, who lived with her mother in the same compound with the married man, Samuel Promise, had hit the child’s head against a wall and then used a stone to crush him.

It was learnt that the suspect had asked another child to call the victim identified as Wisdom Promise, whose body she allegedly dumped in the toilet.

According to sources, the suspect was bitter against the boy’s father who she allegedly had series of abortions for, during their secret affair.

The woman was said to have told the police that she lost her womb as a result of the abortions she had for Promise and wanted him to feel the pain and spend money on treating the boy.

It was gathered that Ndubuife said she only wanted to injure Wisdom, but had to dump his body in the toilet, when she realised he was dead. Confirming the incident, Police spokesman Chike Oti, said it was reported at Trinity Police Station.
