Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu has cleared the air concerning the viral video making rounds on social media..

The Oba says he is being misunderstood as the “alleged snub” is a cultural way of greeting a monarch in Lagos.

The position of Oba Akiolu was stated by one of the white cap chiefs of Lagos, Lateef Aderibigbe Ajose, who is the Opeluwa Onido of Lagos.

Ajose said the Lagos monarch did not ignore Ooni of Ife at the public function as being misconceived by people. He said Oba Akiolu’s response to Oba Ogunwusi was the culturally acclaimed way of greeting by a monarch in Lagos.

He added that the Lagos King is basically trying to revive the culture and tradition of ancient Lagos, which is peculiar to the State.

Other tribes also have their peculiar ways of greeting, he said.

Ajose stated: “The sign by Oba Akiolu signifies ‘inu mi, inu e’, the culture of greeting in Lagos.

“If Oba Akiolu wanted to ignore, he would have turned his face away from Ooni.
“There is no misunderstanding between both highly revered monarchs in Yorubaland.”

According to Ajose, the relationship between both Yoruba kings is peaceful and mutual.

He said: “Oba Akiolu was well represented at the coronation of Ooni of Ife, which attested to the fact that he does not disregard the office of Ooni Adeyeye.”

Chief Ajose said Oba Akiolu had waited till this time to react to the issue because he had to meet with other chiefs in the palace to rub minds before addressing the public on the matter. He said:

“There is no sentiment in the culture of Lagos.
“As we met it, that is the way we are doing it.
“Kabiyesi Oba Akiolu is trying to bring back the old pattern, the old culture we have left behind. “What happened that day was wrongly speculated by the social media to disrupt peace and order and misinterpret Oba Akiolu’s action.
“We just want to appeal to the social media to stop spreading wrong information.
“They should try and understand the reason behind every action carried out, most especially by traditional rulers.
“Yoruba has a very rich culture.
“There is no quarrel between the Oba of Lagos and Ooni of Ife.”

Davido is really feeling sad and down after the death of his Uncle, Isiaka Adeleke.
He took to snapchat to state what he wants, which is, to make good music and take care of her her little sister who’d be coming in two weeks.

If you remember, Davido is expecting his 2nd child with Atlanta based lady, Amanda.

The 24 year is pregnant with his second child. The HKN singer confirmed the happy news during a live Instagram interview with Gbemi Beat Fm, on Friday, March 10, 2017.

According to a facebook user who cried out calling out for the parents of these kids to come and take them off facebook, one of the Teenage Girls had posted the above photo with the caption;

“We know we are kids but we take what belongs to elders.No short thing”

This lead to instant bashing on her comment section with many people demanding that she delete the post, she later took it down but the damage had already been done and thousands had already screen grabbed the posts.

The Federal Government has declared Friday and Monday as Public Holidays to mark the Good Friday and Easter celebrations.

‎The Minister of Interior, Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd) made the announcement which was contained in a statement signed by the acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Muhammadu Maccido.

Dambazau, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, enjoined Christian faithful and Nigerians in general to extend the “spiritual benefits of Easter, which are love, peace, justice, sacrifice and kindness to their daily living, and through this contribute to unity and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians.”

Dambazau also urged Nigerians to team up with President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts of rebuilding the nation.

Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong has once again sent out a congratulatory massage to EFE, Big Brother Naija 2017 Winner. Recall that the Governor earlier called on all State citizen to vote tirelessly before the finals.

The Executive Governor of Plateau Sate, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has congratulated Mr Michael Ejegba popularly known as ‘Efe’ on his emergence as the Winner of the Big Brother Naija (BBN) TV Reality Show.

According to the Governor, the victory of Efe is a further prove of the brotherhood, excellence, courage and determination that characterises the Plateau Spirit. It will be recalled that the Executive Governor had on Friday the 7th April, 2017 called on all Plateau Citizens to stand in solidarity with Efe by voting and mobilizing others to vote for the home grown Actor, who was at the verge of joining the team of successful Plateau Citizens who have won the TV Reality event in the past.

The Executive Governor is also using the opportunity of the Victory of Efe to call on all citizens of Plateau State, to ensure that the value they place on the common humanity of her citizens in a multi cultural and cosmopolitan setting, is always seen in the unity of purpose exhibited by all in the collective pursuit of a common goal. The Governor added that though Efe is by ethnic extraction from Delta State, Plateau is proud to lay claim to his entire life’s orientation having been groomed for excellence in life with the values that distinguish the Plateau person.

The Executive Governor in his commendation assured the people of Plateau and Delta States, that the success of Efe will provide the additional platform for the consolidation of the relationship between the people of the two States, which had existed right from the early Tin Mining days of the twentieth century.

The Governor has further confirmed that he will be receiving Efe as the newest Ambassador of the State in the entertainment and creative industry on his arrival from South Africa soon.

One Chiwendu Ekemezie, a 14-year-old girl has gone missing after being sent on an errand in Lagos.

The teenage girl was last seen around 3pm on Friday, April 7, 2017.

It was gathered that the the young girl was sent to the market with N500 to buy foodstuff for dinner that day. When she did not return on time, her family members got tensed and agitated.

In the course of the investigation, the security man guarding their compound said he saw her go in a direction different from that of the market. Efforts have been made to find the young girl.

Search parties have been to her school, church and neighborhood. A report has been filed at the police station at Agboju/Old Ojo road in Satellite Town, Lagos state.

A Nigerian User on Twitter has declared that she’d commit suicide if Efe doesn’t win the Grand prize of N25m and SUV.

She made this known via her Twitter page (“@Godsgiftele”). “I WILL COMMIT SUCIDE IF EFE DOESNT WIN THE 25MIL..#BBNajia“ – The lady wrote, along side with a her picture.

Of course, she got some replies, with many noting that she is “insane”
