Good morning. Please can someone help out? Joyfuljoyful: Good morning everyone,
A friend is on a tier 4 visa and it expires later this year. The wife just got a Health and care worker job where the company would be providing COS. They want to know if they will need to have the statement balance of 1,247 requested by the UK government as they have lived in the UK more than 1 year.
For the dependant will there be need for her to write the ielts or ecctis before switching to the Health and Care Visa?
Thanks. |

Thanks. koonbey: No. The student can just apply to be their spouse's dependent upon competition of studies.
Technically the student can still apply to get the PSW visa as well but I don't see why someone would do that. |

Hello house,
Please I'd like to ask regarding the latest update from the UK government, what if a student's spouse which is the dependant is already on a skilled worker visa? Will they still have to apply for a PSW visa?
Kindly shed some light if you understand the new rules. Thanks |

Hi. Do we pay this fee when we go for capturing or how do I go about it? I have capturing for this month and I don't know whether I am to bring along the £40 as cash or buy a postal order from the post office before heading for capturing. heroshark: Yea, that is the actual price, you will still need an additional £20 postal order. I paid around $250 for 64pages 10years |

Oh my goodness! This is exactly what is happening! Just those consonants he can't pronounce well. Exactly what we encounter and I have been over stressing on it. Will take your advice.I am very grateful for this breakdown. We will sign the form then. Thank you so much! giselle237: Do not be scared. If you listen to other kids in his class majority of them sound the way he sounds. Sometimes the teachers maybe don’t get that these sounds and speech will form at the appropriate time. I have attached a photo- it is a summary of speech sounds he should be making. Look at the table.. and check against the sounds he should be making now at 4 years old. The help they want to get for him is speech and language therapy I believe. If he is referred to the GP, GP’ll most likely do a referral to SALT and try to get him an appointment date with SALT. If this happens he will be assessed for elements like play, understanding, attention, speech etc. I wont be too worried. Just go with the flow and you can give into any referrals whilst you practice during this summer holiday his sounds as attached. If he is speaking fast, they tend to use a lot of jargons at this age too.. that’s probably the one the teacher says he is not speaking clearly. By 5 years all this would have cleared up in most children Also no shouting and over correction. If he speaks the one you dont hear clearly, rather than correcting you say the right thing Eg Mommy I want to eat pish.. rather than pronounce f for fish as f , he pronounces it as ‘p’ The right thing for you to do is say okay my boy I will get you some fish to eat, you pronounce the right one and not start saying it is not phish .. it is fish You make it worse this way |

Thank you so mhch. I'm taking notes. LagosismyHome: Stigma ke ....your mind should not even go there. In their generation such a thing won't even exist. There so many special needs everywhere so please remove that from your head fast fast . Many workplaces this is even highlighted these days and promoted as inclusion in the workplace , how much more in later year . He wont have special need by God grace but even if he has that ok too.
What important is that the child is getting the help and support he needs .any thing they say you should fill, fill it. Any help you are giving take it fast. What important is that the child is adequately supported so he can flourish. If he out grows it which is possible then all well and good. .... you too continue to research and see how you can add your own support. It takes a village to raise a child , the parent plus whatever support system is needed |

Hello everyone.
My son turned 4 this May and his words are not clear enough. He can recite the alphabets and spell 2 letter words, speak complete sentences, make conversations and can read and write but his speech is not completely clear. When he speaks fast. We can hardly hear what he's saying. Nursery teacher has asked that we fill a form for them to book him in to see the GP so he can be checked. I was wondering if its advisable to to fill the form?
We are afraid he may be stigmatised as having a condition and so trying to see if we can wait it out. We also dont want him to loose his confidence or retreat into himself in the process of being worked on by the specialist. We were hoping when he turns 4 he would outgrow it but we are still hhopeful. Whats your take on it please? Thanks. |

Thanks Oh dear!.Kunleweb slow down as you have diagnosed the child without using the set questionnaires. That child is in his formative years so multiple professional advice isn’t what he needs as she has mentioned one underling symptom speech not multiple.
Also,I hope you mean medical hospital not medical hospice as you said as a hospice tends to support people at the final stage of a terminal disease and/or condition that is not likely to survive.
I know we all want to help but be sure of the advice you dish out and your old books maybe be outdated.

Thank you so much. LagosismyHome: Although that painting without permission was a big no no . But many mortgages are coming to term and working out higher then expected
So landlords are either issuing Section 21 or giving flimsy excuse so they can re list the property so don't beat yourself too much about it . Don't worry about moving now, but If you can see a house and move within 2 months then try. One day at a time
Stand your ground when it time to go. If they say you bleached the carpet and you didn't then stick to your version. They can't charge your for bleaching carpet when you no bleach |

Hello everyone,
We live in a 2 bed Apartment and we got a mail saying they wanted to inspect the apartment. When the rep from the agency came he took pictures of the walls saying that we repainted the walls and they were not evenly painted and that we werent supposed to touch the walls. I felt bad that we painted. I specifically didnt hang anything on the walls. He also mentioned that the carpet was not as it was when we moved in. (8mnts ago).
Now we got a mail from them saying we didnt keep the apartment clean enough and asking us to start looking for another place. We did call their office the next day and were told to move and that our deposits will be used for the repainting and a new carpet. There were no stains on them. I usually clean any stains out immediately. But she said we bleached the carpet which we didnt. I argued that surely it shouldnt be all the deposits but the lady said except we dont want their references for when we get another apartment. She also mentioned that its best we move now so they can give us a good reference. And that if we dont move they would give us a quit notice to leave in 2 months. I'm so sad as I just had a baby and moving can be stressful.
I want to know if there's anything we can do as tenants. Maybe any rights we have? We are on tier 4 and we don't want to rock the boat. I really dont know what we can do at this time. Can we argue this with them or we should just move? I know we are at fault about the painting but everything else was intact and they even mentioned that we are low maintenance and that our rents comes in even days before the due date. I just need clarifications pls.
Thank you. |

Thank you ma'am. Thank you for all the words of encouragement. I am hopeful we will work something out. Thanks. giselle237: I dnt know how it works for students.. and completing your education at this time but I want you to know that you can not be discriminated against by anyone due to pregnancy. Cheer up Secondly, you are only legally allowed to contribute 20hrs of work anyway and so your partner should concentrate on getting a job. Can two work together except they be agreed? No. Dnt be hard on yourself. All is vanity for one who is alone but you are not, both of you should uplift each other, plan and work together to make this work. By virtue of pregnancy, you might be more at home and so for these few months he has to carry the family. This would be good as you can save on childcare and look after your other kids and yourself. If he gets a tier 2 sponsorship that’s also fine but dnt feel like the world is coming to an end. .. it is not With unplanned pregnancies, you are not out of place to be anxious about so many things but pregnancy is here. .. let your husband concentrate on getting a job, while you research about completing your education if possible.. or whatever options out there for you. Wishing you all the luck that you’ll need! |

Thank you justwise. I shall take these suggestions to heart. justwise: You can still work for some months to save a bit to buy baby stuff. Child care shouldn't be an option now unless you have truck load of money, your best option now is night shift so that your hubby will look after the kids after school.
Both of you can pull it off just have to scarifies a lot for the next one year |

Oh thank you so much for this. ! I've been feeling so all alone trying to keep it to myself. Thank you for your kind words. I truly appreciate it. Solumtoya: My dear, you don't have to be so worried. I wish I can tell my UK story, maybe I would someday. Pregnancy for a married woman is a blessing, okay? We can't give much advice because everyone's situation is unique but I can encourage you with my full chest that you will be fine.
My advice: Your husband should focus on working hard for the next one year while you focus on the kids, schooling and your pregnancy. Of course, your husband will also help with the kids as much as he can. If you're able to squeeze out time, you could get a job as well but it's fine if you don't work especially if childcare is expensive in your area. Track and monitor your expenses very closely to be able to save where you can: basically live low-key for the next year. Have fun in an affordable way to keep you upbeat: take walks, etc.
This is my personal advice to just encourage you. Many people are in your shoes, you're not alone, okay? Sending you love, joy and light. |

Thank you for your reply. The issue of getting a job. I dont know how possible it is to get employment now that I am pregnant as I do not want all the pressure on my husband. I don't even know how to cope with three kids especially here. I'm also worried about child care and expenses. We had plans of working towards a tier 2 but I am so uncertain of somethings at the moment. Thanks. justwise: What worries you most? |

Hello everyone.
I want to ask a question please no judging. I recently moved here on student visa with my family. I discovered that I am pregnant now and we already have 2 little boys. I am so scared and worried. I haven't even started work as we only recently settled down. We have only been here 3 months. Please anyone ever been in this situation? How did they navigate it?
Or what advice can anyone give me please. I am so down and feeling defeated already. Please advise me.
Thank you. Joy |
