If E commerce is Jonathan's achievement, then we will kill Elephant for OBJ who provided the platform it runs.

I am yet to see the "IROKO " in the forest of Jonathan’s achievements. it won't be long before you guys will mention Nairaland as Jonathan's achievement.

In my opinion, he has done more harm to e commerce, Jonathan has introduced collection fee in all post offices for Ali express users even goods that the Chinese Government paid its freight, how does that encourage e-commerce?

How is Jonathan supporting Konga and Jumia? are they tax free? Dont you know that the Chinese government pay freight for some goods you see on Alibaba. com?

Backward Nigerians, even Jonathan's shaved armpit is an achievement.

Has Jonathan provided a guarantee platform like Escrow for Konga and Jumia users.
Trust me, Jonathan has not even heard of e commerce in his life.

Besides, what is it with republicans ensuring anything?
Besides running the American economy into massive deficit and flouting human right laws ala' extraordinary rendition, guantanamo, water boarding e.t.c what did they actually ensure?
Wasn't it the Democrats who scored the symbolic victory of killing bin laden?
It is 3,000 not 300,000 even a dumb Jonathan would have easily spotted an auto correct error. Guess Jonathan is even smarter than most people calling for change.

The Democrats campaigned for immediate troops withdrawal from Iraq, on getting there, they ended up increasing the number of troops. I won't really go into details why it happened that way to maintain the sanity of the thread.

I do presume that you are leaving below poverty too. Anyway am not and people can post all sorts of rubbish (like you and the op) on the Internet but that doesn't change the truth. THESE HAS BEEN A GREAT POSITIVE CHANGE IN THIS NATION SINCE JONATHAN CAME. Take it or leave it.

GEJ all the way.
I don't live below poverty line truth be told, it is no reason for me to ignore the sufferings of my country men.

Let me give you two examples where I drew my inspiration from perhaps it will form a model that will change your mind set.

In 2012 during the Subsidy removal crisis, a man aged over 70yrs protested on the streets of Lagos in the person of Wole Soyinka, I am damn sure that Soyinka wont have a problem buying PMS at 200 naira per liter, also in 2014 Oby Ezekwesili led a protest for "bring back our girls" I am certain that none of her kids was kidnapped.

Learning point;

Irrespective of your comfort zone, you should lend your voice to the voiceless.

When you mention OBJ, NIPP, New NAFDAC, EFCC, Consolidation, Privatization, PSC, UBE, GSM all come to mind, this is a government that messed up big time but still left an Iroko in its forest of achievements,

when you mention Jonathan, all you hear is Sub standard trains, nothing more, is that all you deserve in 6yrs? where are Jonathan's "Iroko"?
resurfacing airports that Skytrax does not agree with? or surfacing roads? or fighting with Amaechi? where is the "Iroko" of this administration? You win, and sure P? "

If Nigeria had plants that could generate up to 15 000 MW by today the distribution would have been sorted. But the NIPP like other Legacy projects of the previous government didn't work.
EFCC was a witch hunting body.

Fraudulent Privatisation etc but this isn't about OBJ.

OBJ was President for 8 years btw.

GEJ has not been president for up to 6 years like you stated and there is a thread on FP as regards that.

GEJ's achievements in terms of Economic growth is quite glaring,

Power has improved greatly Nigerians can testify compared to previous governments.

Why should govt build a new Refinery? When we are trying to privatise most of Govt "businesses" to stop the rot and decay in these areas.

I cannot believe people keep comparing a "tiny" bridge in Lekki to the 2nd Niger Bridge? They are not the same.

A bridge over the River Niger and a bridge on "Five Cowrie Creek" with just enough space for about 2 vehicles are not the same. Please they cannot even be compared to each other.

All these things I listed and many more has informed my decision,

Despite the "war in the NE" We've made so much progress.
Btw Lagos Light Rail has been under construction for 6 years now.

here is a link, You can go through.

https://m.facebook.com/torunarigha.k.cash/posts/10200803804150430

As for me, I have decided.
#GEJ has my Vote!!!
Under OBJ'S NIPP, Over 15 power plants are either completed or in the works, such efforts does not qualify as failure in my books.

It is inappropriate to Juxtapose the second Niger bridge with Fashola's, however, the point of that assertion is that the second Niger bridge was a promise made to Anambrarians in 2011, I was at the head bridge on Tuesday, if the level of work I saw there is what Anambrarians feel they deserve after 4yrs, by all means, they should vote baba Joe.

GEJ all the way.
I don't totally agree with you, If Jonathan really revamped the agricultural sector like you claimed, I expect the Govt Vertinary doctors to be on red alert, proactive enough to be dispatched to these farms for prompt response.

Make no mistakes, the bird flu outbreak is a national emergency hence should be approached as such, If we are still at the level where the farm owners are expected to combat it on their own (just like I vaccinate trophy my favourite dog), then there is nothing new happening in that sector.

I don't blame Jonathan for Bird flu, I bemoan the idea that a sector he claimed to have revamped does not have a proactive containment strategy for a national outbreak.

This is common sense, it has nothing to do with being a grand pa.

On electricity, how much have the past presidents pumped into NEPA without a single outcome. This government have not even spent one quarter of Wat they have spent, and now you are giving credit to Obasanjo administration.

When Obasanjo was president ASUU went on strike yearly (maybe you still dey jss then) one of them lasted for more than six months. NB the last strike was because of Wat OBJ promised and could not fulfill that caused the strike, and he wisely handled and settled the matter.

There is a 10yr window for the appeal, Jonathan was the president when the window closed, for a leader who has witnessed first hand the sufferings of Nigerians in Bakassi, it is only wise for him to appeal the ICJ judgement.

There has been a tremendous turnaround in the agricultural sector of this nation since Jonathan regime. Before now farming was seen as a poor man business but today it's a different story.
I don't really know the brand of mediocrity you are smoking but permit me to ask, what exactly did Jonathan do in the agricultural sector?
How can a president be campaigning with SMS fertilizer distribution in 2015? are we that poor in spirit?

If that sector is top notch like you claimed, why did bird flu spread through 9 states in one week?
The problem I see here is that most of you are just not ambitious, Fertilizer distribution started since the days of Abacha's PTF but no government has ever talked about it, how did we descend so low?

If you want to talk about Agricultural revolution, you should tell me how many Agricultural cooling houses that are attached to our cargo area in all international airports?
You should tell me how many new farms have sprung up under this administration?
You should tell me how many veterinary doctors were employed recently?
How many irrigation projects were undertaken in the last four years?
What is the percentage reduction in hunger in recent times?
What is the percentage reduction in price of agricultural products in Nigeria today?
How many Cargo airports were built strictly for Agricultural export?
How many foreign investments did Agriculture attract in the last 4yrs?

If any of the above happened, Nigeria will feel this paper agricultural revolution, it is not enough to employ an eloquent minister to be confusing Nigerians with rhetoric when a tiny fish is still selling for 5k in Ph.

When I was in school, from primary to university there have been epileptic power supply in different parts of the country but today though we can't boast of 24hours power but we all know that it's "7 up".
you really went to school? that is good to hear, this is what I was taught in school, I was taught that Obasanjo's NIPP has installed capacity of 15,000mw of electricity, so far, the project is almost 70% completed, the reason we are not feeling the impact of this progress is because the transmission infrastructure is very weak, and gas shortages, that is where I expected Jonathan to act on, for the past 6yrs, I am actually typing with a generator by the way, that is the only progress that needs to be made, the rest na wash!!
His PIB is even proposing a DSO MODEL to curb gas shortages, imagine the insult.

What of educational system in Nigeria that was almost dead, hence the trooping in of private schools all over the country. Not only is his regime building new schools but making government school teachers feel proud of the profession.
What of the road he has embarked on constructing and or repairing. The Nigeria railway has never functioned for so many decades, but in his single stay in the office he has brought it from the pit that the past presidents has put it in and is lifting the sector high than every other transportation systems in this nation.
In ASUU's voice grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

The revamping of the Nigeria railway service is a very poor decision, that money if it was used to revamp our transmission lines, will give us a minimum of 18hrs power supply, Power will have more positive impact on our lives than the so called railways.
As a matter of fact, if the rails were revamped for cargo purposes, it will be more beneficial to us than the present pleasure rides.
Imagine a rail line that runs from Apapa to Onitsha? that rail project will take off 40% of heavy duty trucks from our roads, saving maintenance cost on the roads, Imagine a rail line running from Lagos to Kano then Kaduna?
If Jonathan managed to get power right within this 6yrs, I will personally campaign for him.

You still want more?
No, but thanks for asking

You say he is weak, that he can't fight boko haram? Let me ask you one thing, the alright USA, that I know you are praying to be a citizen of, searched for bin laden for 10 years before they take him out, but yet his boys still dey. ISIS has been terrorising for years now, USA plus other nations has not been able to take them out and they are claiming territories. But our president has fought boko haram not to a halt now but has paralysed them seriously.
I really don't know what your social circle is but the information you have is pretty wrong, it took 10yrs for the yanks to kill Osama, no doubt about that, but I doubt if they never spotted him in several places before then, those are two different things.

Osama was always spotted at different locations before the final Abottabad hit, it was the ingenuity of Condoleeza rice that delayed his death, she argued that killing Osama will be counter productive, that if you do that, someone more ruthless will wear his shoes (exactly what Shekau is doing to us),

she rolled out a plan that will neutralize all the Alqaeda active cells in the middle east (Arabian peninsular) and the Islamic Mahreb, that operation covered over 50 countries according to Collin Powell.
The essence is that if you don't neutralize those cells, there will be serious reprisals on American interest both home and abroad.

You may not understand why Mustafa Mohamed Fadhil, Fahid Mohammed Ally Msalam, Sheikh Ahmed Salim Swedan, Ahmed Ghailani, Ahmed Mohammed Hamed Ali and Mushin Musa Matwalli Atwah. had to die before Osama bin laden.

Please don't compare America with the kalo kalo we are doing at Sambisa forest, I saw the funny narrative on AIT, I couldn't believe that a gullible Nigerian will believe that gingle, guess I was wrong.

ISIS in not America's war, they are just conducting air strikes with coalition forces, as I type, ISIS have lost serious territories since the air strike began.

How did you paralyze Boko when they have made two attempts to take Maiduguri? when you had to cry in Paris for ordinary Chad to come to your rescue?

LOL. I don't know whether some people forget everything that happened the previous day on the sight of a new one. Firstly, Nigeria has been the one calling for a better and stronger multinational force with its neighbour right from the beginning of the insurgency. Have you forgotten when Nigeria did everything possible for our neighbours to see the dangers of not supporting our action. So what AU just did was stamping what we wanted all along. Their is no need arguing with you because it would not change your programmed mind, so vote who you want and it is your fundamental right. Atleast this government would not deprive you of that compared to those who deprived us of this basic right but they still want to enjoy the dividend of democracy.
So what exactly is your point? call yourself giant of Africa at home, run to New york to seek assistance, then Paris to finalize the MNJTF deal right? with ordinary Chad, Niger and Cameroon abi?
How about sending your boys to contain the threat and entertain them with medals?

In 1997 when the president of Sierra Leone Alhaji Ahmad Tejan Kabbah was ousted, neither by rag tag militia nor rag tag terrorists, but dissidents factions in his professional military, armed to the teeth and led by Major Johnny-Paul Koromah,
Nigeria under ECOMOG stepped in, after nine days offensive, our boys came home with victory, it might interest you to note that the inauguration of president Kabbah was Abacha's last foreign trip.

On the streets of Freetown, Nigeria was once again revered as the true giant of Africa, now, that was the military Jonathan inherited, what is he leaving behind? a Military that runs to Chad for help, Chad whose @rse we kicked real bad in 1978? or Cameroon that we stationed our military on the Bakassi peninsular for over 14yrs and they couldn't cough?
please don't provoke me, if you don't love this country, I do.
Jonathan is an irredeemable failure, no amount of PR can package charcoal to become macleans.
Politics › Re: Buhari Did Not Build Any Refinery For Nigeria – Editorial | NewsDay Reporters by jpphilips(m): 3:30pm On Feb 06, 2015
However, the Warri Refinery was awarded by Yakubu Gowon to Snamprogetti Spa Milan, Italy in 1975 (in this period, Buhari was the governor of North-eastern state) at the cost of $478 million and commenced operation in 1978 (now he was a Petroleum. Minister). It had the design capacity of 100,000 b/d.
The procurement started in 1975 while construction works commenced in 1976, it was a two year contract and commissioned in 1978.
It took the Astute Management of Buhari to have over seen that project.
OBJ's NIPP met a lot of bottle necks because there was nobody like Buhari to manage it, it is not just about awarding the contract, its about keeping an eye on it, what if he embezzled money meant for the project within the 2years? will you have a refinery today?

For instant @ rallies, You'll only speak for few minutes mostly under 5 minutes and say, We'll tackle insecurity, corruption, unemployment, not actually telling us How?

Instead with the General, "These guys are compromised, these ones are pdp, these ones are anti-APC" Nigerians were looking forward to the debate but as a "General " You are probably above the masses and not answerable to no one, The case of the WASC Certificate is a serious concern, as a Man of integrity ("Like the popular scarce face movie funny it was in 1983 also "I only got two things in this world my balls and my word and I don't break them for nobody!- Tony Montana"wink Rather than posting us to several places, just ask Cambridge to release the results..

Show me one country in the world where the opposition give in details its solution to the incumbent, just mention one?

At the time Obama campaigned for change, he promised to withdraw American troops from Iraq, did he say how?did he tell you that he has located Osama and for a year 8months the Seal team 6 are making preparations for the hit? did you know that?
Did he tell you that Osama's Abottabad residence has been under surveillance for over a year?
He promised to neutralize the sleeping cells of terror as a global challenge did he tell you how? After the death of Osama no single retaliation on American soil or interests abroad, did he tell you how he did it?

He promised health care to 80% of the American population, did he say how? Did he tell you during the elections about the chip they want to use to access health care?

Second term; Obama promised to expand America's Energy interest, did he tell Mc cain of shale oil boom? did he tell him his Russian, Iran, Saudi Arabian plans of rendering OPEC useless?

The Brazilian opposition took over from the incumbent and in their first term the Brazilian economy was so robust to join the BRICS, why did the opposition not divulge it to the incumbent?

What about the strides of the Indian opposition?

How about the present govt of Rouhani of Iran, did he tell Ahmadinejad his strategy of lifting western sanctions to better their economy did he? guess you know Obama is fighting with the republican congress because of Rouhani's diplomatic successes.

What you guys ask from the opposition is totally unrealistic.

What we as electorates have is the right to hire and fire every four years by dissecting the pedigree of the actors whether incumbent or aspiring, you don't have the right to ask anyone to give you his ideas free.

It doesn't happen in any part of the world and Buhari is not stvpid to oblige you that.

I equally watched President Jonathan's interview with Isha Seesay of CNN, Jonathan was asked thrice "Mr President what do you stand for?" Mr president had no answer to that question, that question was repeated thrice yet our PhD wielding president had no answer to that simple question, not until it was degenerating to an embarrassing turf, Seesay skipped that part.

Fast forward to Dec last year when Jonathan granted NTA an interview, he automatically became a genius, could you believe that he actually quoted in figures the tonnage of fertilizers distributed to farmers so far, can you beat that? I needed no Juju to tell me that this man have studied this question before hand, is it the charade you want to see in the name of debating?

If Jonathan knew he would love me to watch him debate in 2015, why has he not overhauled the transmission network of PHCN in 6yrs?
If OBJ could launch the NIPP of $16b, to build plants that are set to generate 15,000mw of electricity, why is Jonathan dragging his feet to over haul transmission which is the only challenge we have and probably, the gas pipping networks?
This second phase if far cheaper than the first phase yet over $20b was stolen under his watch. Haven't we suffered enough?
Just like Soludo said, there is no Iroko in Jonathan's forest of achievements, now this is what it means.

You win, and sure P? grin

You mentioned holding people in detention without trial, it is very wrong, the 1999 constitution was what stipulated 48hrs maximum, if there should be an extension it should be granted by the court to enable the police conclude their investigations.

During Buhari's regime, human rights records were generally low, world over including the united states, the United states historians till date have not unanimously agreed that Oswald killed John F Kennedy, which crime is higher than killing a serving president of the United states? that will give you an insight to the inefficiencies at the time, 1964 was exactly 20yrs before Buhari in an underdeveloped African country, why are you expecting Buhari's 1984 to be perfect and efficient?

It is appalling when people use the phrase "unlawful detention" to cast aspersion on Buhari, "decree 4" was the law and it said the secret police can detain till investigations are concluded, so what is unlawful about that? whether it is morally right, my answer is a big NO, but when I pick my history books I see that it was the life that was obtainable at the time.

Political prisoners don't have much luxury of Justice world over at the time, let us start with the actor, Buhari, after he was ousted by IBB, he faced 3yrs incarceration without trial.

Lets go to south Africa, Under the Apartheid government, Nelson Mandela was detained for 5yrs out of the total 27yrs he spent in prison.

In Singapore, Chia thye Poh has this outstanding history "Detained under the Internal Security Act of Singapore for allegedly conducting pro-communist activities against the government, he was imprisoned for 23 years without charge or trial and subsequently placed under conditions of house arrest for another nine years – in which he was first confined to the island of Sentosa and then subject to restrictions on his place of abode, employment, travel, and exercise of political rights.....wikki

In Europe the Father of human rights, recorded this event in history, Muhammetguly Aymuradov, the longest-serving political prisoner in Turkmenistan, has been released after serving more than 14 years in jail,

Even United states under the watch of Amnesty international is still unlawfully detaining suspected terrorists in Guantanamo Bay, some of the suspects have been detained for over a year without trial, and it is happening in this our generation let alone the 80's.

Do not misconstrue my intentions of digging out these historical events, I am in no way in support of human right abuse, however, demonizing Buhari on that grounds without pointing to the fact that such was the world they lived in is misleading.

About Ekwueme and Shagari, Buhari admitted that even though his Government has usurped Shagari's government, as a sitting president of Nigeria, he deserved some respect. you are looking at the small picture, do you know what it means to place a president on any type of arrest? a serving president with all his luxury and state apparatchik?

At the time President Morsi of Egypt was ousted by the military, he was never thrown to prison till an interim successor came on board, all the while he was in detention, he was placed under house arrest.

Let me quickly remind you that the office of a president is an "INSTITUTION" not a "PERSON" in fighting corruption, you don't treat a serving president with disdain, else you will be making a mockery of the office you are occupying, it is the practice world over and Buhari knew that, it is no selective justice, Shagari was lucky to have been the president at the time.
Why do you think that the 1999 constitution has an "immunity clause" for serving heads of state?
It is called "presidential privilege" because it is not easy to be one.

Bros,if all these thing you posted happened under GEJs administration and you think it has never happened before, and you are still alive;feeding, clothing, using ur time online etc, then you won't die in 4yrs time if he is re-elected.

As for me and my family, my unborn children, my village,my Church and the God I serve. We are giving it all to GEJ.
I wish to remind you that the God I serve if he is the same you serve said in Psalms 109:8 "Let his days be few; and let another take his office".

Jonathan has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is unworthy of the office of the Presidency, come Feb 14th, I will do exactly as God has instructed.

The God I serve have no room for incompetence.

Dude, you really really reeeeeeeally need to shut the FCK up, cos you OBVIOUSLY oblivious to what's currently happening right now. Sure the Chadians have joined the fight to AID Cameroon, and yes they did kick ass acting as a blocking force in Gamboru-gala. But care to explain the massacre that just occurred in Fotokol, Cameroon, the main operations base of the Chadians? The Chadians just had their post overrunned by 7000 BH militants, while the Nigerian Army not only defended Maiduguri, but recaptured Gwoza (capital of the caliphate), Bama, Baga, and are currently laying seige on Sambisa. Yet you have the audacity to come here and spew trash? You MUST be stupid.
According to the Chadian commander yesterday, Fotokol was under the control of the Cameroonian BIU at the time, the Chadians are yet to be deployed there.

Fotokol was a resupply base for BH so they (Chadians) least expected it to be attacked so soon reason for the late deployment, I hope you remembered that 4days before the attack, the Cameroonian authorities started a massive evacuation of residents, same cannot be said of Nigerians who have suffered a similar fate, at least for the areas captured so far, it could have been worse, thanks to the pro active thinking of the Cameroonian authorities.

If I were you, I will wait for the Chadians to launch their counter offensive before we draw appraisals, like you confessed, the Chadians are damn good at what they do.

Haven said that, the competent Nigerian Army has ceedeed territories so much that BH is so emboldened to try their luck on Maiduguri twice, which could have been the beginning of the end for all of us, considering the fact that Maiduguri is home to most displaced persons from other restive areas and seat of Government.

We also know that not until the Arrival of the Chadians and their French surveillance aircraft and intelligence support, those ceedeed territories are already off the Nigerian map, so we know who is really doing a good job.

We also know that Baga the MNJTF head Quarters of Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon fell the moment Chad and Cameroon withdrew their troops, just out of curiosity, why did we loose that base? could it be because the warriors just left or we are not upto the task of holding the front at the exit of the warriors? #just thinking aloud#

You can continue deceiving people whom Jonathan deprived electricity to watch the news definitely not me.

That reminds me, were you not the officer who does not know the difference between an insurrection and a civil war? let me hope that you have improved over time, else you are not worth the stress.

You dey mind those blind bats called APshits. They don't even know jack about the economy. They all want to share our wealth amongst their family. Why didn't GEJ put his brothers, sister, cousin or daughters in governent, unlike Thiefnubuu who even has inlaw in Lagos state house of assembly.

They will never hold power, never, if we can decide with our last blood and end that monopoly govt in Lagos state, we won't have to face such delusional selected development deployed by fashiola and his cronies in the name of megaccity. 160billion still cannot achieve anything light rail. Shame
Jonathan's illiterate wifea is a permanent secretary in Bayelsa state.
Fair enough?
