nothingbutruth: Thanks pal, you made my day. But I believe poor samplegirl was completely misunderstood. I believe what she was trying to say is that the problem with Nigeria is not all about who is the present President. Nigerian problem is about Nigerians where virtually every citizen is selfish and corrupt from within. Foot-soldiers rig election. How many of those people who lash SAMPLEGIRL will reject a 10,000 000 bribe to change election figures? Every corner I look I see NIGERIANS behaving like wild animal even in the house of worship but we are all righteous.
She did say that if we had got it right Goodluck wouldn't have got platform to emerge in the first place and I believe her. What did we do when those men were rigging elections? nothing . We were busy waiting to blame who ever emerges meanwhile we were instrumental to the whole mess.
Until we look ourselves in the mirror and tell ourselves the truth that we have a collective duty to make this country work, we maybe beating about the bush.. Tell me the Nigerian who will expose his kinsman for looting the treasury, none. Show me the Nigerian who will not DEEP his hands if opportunity comes, your guess is as good as mine.
And you are paid to tell us what she is trying to say, tell me you are her brain, fvctards of the same feather, she wants to blame 1960 to excuse a sleeping Jonathan, you really want to reason along such flaccid misconception that is only valid in the minds of a squirrel.
I pity who saw you guys through school, except most of you suffered brain damage afterwards

Rabies facts from W.H.O.

Fact Sheet N°99
Updated August 2014

Key facts

Rabies occurs in more than 150 countries and territories.
More than 60 000 people die of rabies every year mostly in Asia and Africa.
40% of people who are bitten by suspect rabid animals are children under 15 years of age.
Dogs are the source of the vast majority of human rabies deaths.
Wound cleansing and immunization within a few hours after contact with a suspect rabid animal can prevent the onset of rabies and death.
Every year, approximately 29 million people worldwide receive a post-exposure vaccination to prevent the disease at an estimated cost of US$2.1 billion.
Rabies is a zoonotic disease (a disease that is transmitted to humans from animals) that is caused by a virus. The disease affects domestic and wild animals, and is spread to people through close contact with infectious material, usually saliva, via bites or scratches.

Rabies is present on all continents with the exception of Antarctica, but more than 95% of human deaths occur in Asia and Africa. Once symptoms of the disease develop, rabies is nearly always fatal. Rabies is a neglected disease of poor and vulnerable populations whose deaths are rarely reported. It occurs mainly in remote rural communities where measures to prevent dog to human transmission have not been implemented.

More than 100 countries report cases of rabies in dogs putting people at risk. Vaccinating at least 70% of dogs breaks the cycle of transmission in dogs and to humans. Safe, efficacious and affordable dog rabies vaccines are available, and countries embarking on rabies elimination need easy access to quality-assured dog vaccines for vaccination campaigns and for outbreak management.

Symptoms
The incubation period for rabies is typically 1–3 months, but may vary from <1 week to >1 year. The initial symptoms of rabies are fever and often pain or an unusual or unexplained tingling, pricking or burning sensation (paraesthesia) at the wound site.

As the virus spreads through the central nervous system, progressive, fatal inflammation of the brain and spinal cord develops.

Two forms of the disease can follow. People with furious rabies exhibit signs of hyperactivity, excited behaviour, hydrophobia and sometimes aerophobia. After a few days, death occurs by cardio-respiratory arrest.

Paralytic rabies accounts for about 30% of the total number of human cases. This form of rabies runs a less dramatic and usually longer course than the furious form. The muscles gradually become paralyzed, starting at the site of the bite or scratch. A coma slowly develops, and eventually death occurs. The paralytic form of rabies is often misdiagnosed, contributing to the under-reporting of the disease.

Diagnosis
No tests are available to diagnose rabies infection in humans before the onset of clinical disease, and unless the rabies-specific signs of hydrophobia or aerophobia are present, the clinical diagnosis may be difficult. Human rabies can be confirmed intra-vitam and post mortem by various diagnostic techniques aimed at detecting the whole virus, viral antigens, viral-specific antibodies in the cerebrospinal fluid, or nucleic acids in infected tissues (brain, skin, urine or saliva).

Transmission
People are usually infected following a deep bite or scratch by an infected animal. Dogs are the main host and transmitter of rabies. They are the source of infection in all of the estimated 50 000 human rabies deaths annually in Asia and Africa.

Bats are the source of most human rabies deaths in the Americas. Bat rabies has also recently emerged as a public health threat in Australia and western Europe. Human deaths following exposure to foxes, raccoons, skunks, jackals, mongooses and other wild carnivore host species are very rare.

Transmission can also occur when infectious material – usually saliva – comes into direct contact with human mucosa or fresh skin wounds. Human-to-human transmission by bite is theoretically possible but has never been confirmed. Changes in the environment and close human contact with wildlife can lead to increased human exposure to rabies-infected wildlife species.

Rarely, rabies may be contracted by inhalation of virus-containing aerosol or via transplantation of an infected organ. Ingestion of raw meat or other tissues from animals infected with rabies is not a source of human infection.

owobokiri: There is also the regretable cases of Nigerias military involvement elsewhere , especially in Africa and our inability to leverage those actions to further the countrys political and economic influences atleast within the continent. When Nigeria went to Sierra Leoen, she lost men in thousands , even the field commander later died of his wounds from the battle. Abacha was the c in c and did his best to impose pro Nigerian presidents there. But immidiately the bitter parts of the struggle were over, the ever cunny british under one Tony blair managed to get involved and utilised their vast media presence to claim the efforts. Today british technocrats are all over Freetown cornering juicy mining contracts while Nigerian busineses walllow in penury. It is the same in Liberia and Guinea. We cant contineu to operate from a 'big brother' prism. That time is gone. If we sacrifice men and resources as we did in those places, there must be a very strong plan to sign military agreements with those countries as well as economic agreements that will not just favour Nigerias businesses but also help reinforce the Nigerias military capabities for future foreign battles. There must be something there for the country.. We dont have to be selfish but we must find a way to ensure that the success of these interventions translates to a healthy gain for the countrys reputation abroad and solid oppurtuinities for her businesses.
Only if you took your time to verify the acclaimed Nigerian successes, for the records, Abacha reinstated a deposed head of state of a fifth world non functional military, is it what you will get juicy contracts for? The military that Abacha fought was one of the worst in the world at the time, even boko haram can do a better job.
When the child soldiers of the west side boys confronted the Nigerian ECOMOG troops, in Liberia, what actually happened? and how did the 9 yrs feud end? that is the truth why the British got the contracts because they ended the war.
I am not surprised because most Nigerians are jingoists and very impressionable. you can continue lying to yourself while realists like us continue mourning a nation we lost since 1970!!

mojeer678: Ridiculous to you? That snipe shows limited intelligence on your part. Already dismissing the evidence before you get to know the facts undecided you need to read far and wide, bro!

The findings from a just-completed gene analysis of the ebola virus strain by an international team of microbiologists and medical doctors. Their conclusion is that the RNA structure of the ebola virus raging through West Africa is a direct derivative from the Gabon-Congo outbreaks in 2002 and 2003.

The lineage provides important clues as to how Zaire ebola (ZEBOV-Gabon/Congo) was transferred to West Africa over a distance of 4,000 kilometers and a lapse of 10 years without being detected along the way. Zaire ebola is neither native to West Africa nor could it have arrived via any natural or accidental means without triggering intermediate outbreaks.

This is the source, http://www.rense.com/general96/eboutofgabo.html (if you can actually, really read it though, there are no pictures embedded grin)

mojeer678: Sir, there's no need for the ad hominem attacks, pejoratives and insults on this thread.

You can make your point politely without casting the unnecessary abuses. Mind you, the original thread was started by GenBuhari and he was on point that there's something fishy the way the whole Ebola scare was being hyped. I did a little research into this and came up with logical write-ups that have been made by credible writers. Now, ebola is real but what we are being confronted with now is a sexed-up strain. If you disagree and you feel you have anything worthwhile to say, that can be done without using gutter languages or descending into the sewer.

Whatever point you would have made have unfortunately been tarred by the uncouth manner by which you engaged upon others on this thread. You are to be pitied really as your ignorance of the issues is glaring. We should let facts face facts and a good idea/argument would inevitably give way to a better one.

I'm sorry, but you aren't getting any further response from me.
Let me be clear, Gen.Buhari has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is a m0r0n of exponential proportion, while trying so hard not to insult his person, It is my civic responsibility to bring that reality to his notice, not only for him to get some education, but to dispel any form of opinion that may fall out from his misconceptions.

The situation we have in portharcourt is the height of ignorance most likely fueled by baseless publications peddled by Gen. GenBuhari: Nigerian love to be deceived. It is always an uphill struggle trying to tell Nigerians the truth after they have been deceived.
Why will the elites launch a depopulation campaign against west Africa starting with a country (Guinea) with one of the least populations in the world, according to the OP, he claimed that the elites wanted to get "faster" results?

you see what I always tell you about your sub standard education, it doesn't have variables to compare with, even common sense has failed you.
read here to know countries in the world that have the highest population, they are the real targets for a depopulation programme.
http://www.worldatlas.com/aatlas/populations/ctypopls.htm

Nigeria's failed Government infected Nigerians with Ebola by doing nothing over time while it ravaged other west African countries,

Nigeria happened to be 7th on that list, tell me, was Nigeria the real target? if Nigeria was, what would stop them from sending it directly to Nigeria than going through Congo, Guinea, Liberia and sierra Leone?

I am helping you to ask the right questions, a feat that is alien to your hollow brain.

mojeer678: We are now getting to understand NL better. Serious stuff are loathed while silly topics make FP.

That won't and shouldn't dissuade us from continue to be telling the truth.

More of the truth:

According to David Hodges, "In the 1980′s, the population crisis seemed to be over. The replacement population rate needed to maintain a population is 2.1 children per woman and across the planet that standard was basically maintained. However, there was one major exception and that was in the sub-Saharan Africa.

United Nations population experts and the world’s politicians convened what is now described as the first Agenda 21 conference, in 1994, in which an overt depopulation strategy was replaced by an agenda centered on empowering women through equal employment opportunities thus delaying childbirth and lessening the birth rate. Also, the UN and world leaders espoused increasing access to birth control and abortion, thus, killing unborn babies in fulfillment of Margaret Sanger’s expressed desire.

These early depopulation strategies are benign, even the scourge of abortion, when compared to more black project agendas that were conducted at the same time. The problem with using various birth control methods is that they are slow multi-generational process and this lack of quick progress does not give the elite what they need and want which is to depopulate the world quickly.

For dramatic changes in population, a more radical agenda is needed. More deadly methods involving war and disease are preferable to members of the ruling elite who desire quick results, which are needed to save the planet from man-made climate change. This is what I submit is exactly what we are beginning to see." Since the elite failed to get Africa in check with tasteful methods, they launched a new strain of ebola there to get things done more quickly. It is obvious, ebola was originally a super stable virus that had not changed for millenia. What caused the radical change to get it airborne? YOU GUESS.

For easier answer: http://desertpeace./2014/08/26/ebola-accident-or-genocide/
You call this serious stuff? you said Ebola is a propaganda, right? the man who wrote the article you posted is Jon Rappoport who lives in San Diego, he calls himself an investigative journalist, in all his Ebola investigations, he never came to West Africa can you ask him why?

Rappoport is like a prophet who knows that Christ has followers so the easiest way to get cheap popularity is by debunking the existence or the belief in Christ.
I thought that if Jon Rapporport actually believed there is no Ebola, he would be in Liberia Hugging Ebola patients and taking pictures.
He said we are scared and ordinary Vitamin C can cure Ebola, In the United states where he lives, two companies who are into Ebola research have been looking for volunteers for their drug clinical trial, why hasn't he gone there to tell them to stop wasting $25m on Zmapp that Vitamin C can do the job?

Jon Rapporport is 76 years, should he die today of ebola, I dont think the world will miss him that much, what I find insulting as an African is when the likes of Jon Rapporport want us to die more by peddling conspiracy theories that can easily stick to the mind set of my country men like Gen Buhari, while he stays in far away San diego.

I want to urge anyone who has any conspiracy theory about Ebola to set up a camp at Yaba, or any west African country of his chioce, so we can easily get samples to test with.

WHO is asking for $480m, 750 international doctors and 1,200 local doctors to stamp out Ebola in the next 6 months, Mr Rapporport, please if you feel that money is a waste, kindly keep that opinion to yourself not to deter people who think other wise from helping us, I believe there is no Ebola in San diego where you live and it will be inhuman to undermine this threat which will go a long way in distracting serious agencies that are willing to help,

while you are at it, kindly know that Africa is a region with individuals like Gen. Buhari who have hollow brain cells, may assimilate your preposterous theory there by endangering the populace, the thieves that robbed the Ebola centers last week are now patients in the same center, I am sure they once thought like you.

May God bless you as you make your own contribution towards stamping off this threat, I just made mine. grin grin

DrRima: This posting has a good deal of inaccurate information in it about me, Rima E. Laibow, MD, about Nano Silver 10 PPM and about the Natural Solutions Foundation, of which I am the Medical Director.
".... Meanwhile, it is not yet known if the outcome of their research would be widely accepted as it would be recalled that on August 19, 2014, one Dr. Rima Laibow, Managing Director of US-based company Natural Solutions Foundation claimed that Nano Silver has been deployed by her team of scientists during treatment of Ebola patients in Africa before the current epidemic outbreak, but surprisingly on August 21, 2014, the same company confirmed that the said drug was not a cure for the deadly disease."
Your misstatements in bold, my corrections in italics.

I am not the Managing Director of a US based company Natural Solutions Foundation.
I am the Medical Director of a US base humanitarian tax exempt charity called the Natural Solutions Foundation.
I did not claim that Nano Silver had been deployed by my team of scientists during treatment of Ebola patients in Africa before the current epidemic outbreak.
I wrote to the Heads of State and Ministers of Health of Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea on August 2, 2014, informing them about safe, effective and widely effective Nano Silver 10 PPM. I think made a video addressed to them and posted it on youtube/naturalsolutions.
I was contacted by Liberian officials and our Foundation donated, at their request, enough nano silver product to treat 10 patients with Ebola. I prepared and submitted a protocol for that purpose.
I provided safety data, MSDS, FDA and DPA status documents, legal opinion letters and other materials showing that Nano Silver 10 PPM is a recognized, safe and permitted nutrient in the US.
I presented scientific documentation that Nano Silver 10 PPM inactivates the Ebola virus by posting a study declassified in 2009 by the US Department of Defense DTRA (Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) which makes it abundantly clear that, indeed, the in vitro results are unequivocal.
I went on to say that based on clinical knowledge of the material and the application of in vitro information to in vivo situations, it was a powerful candidate to be a cure for Ebola.
I posted another video on Youtube called "None Need Die From Ebola" which detailed the specifics of this type of Nano Silver and talked about why it works so well.
On August 16, 2014 the New York Times accused me of providing Nano Silver to Nigeria. Sadly, this is not true, although I would have been happy to do so. I never "confirmed" that Nano Silver 10 PPM is not a cure for Ebola because it is, in fact, able to provide such powerful support to the immune system that it will be able to provide that service to the patient lucky enough to get it.
When WHO and FDA made their announcement that it was not "ethical" to use a substance which had never been tested on humans to try and save Ebola Victims' lives and the HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE ZMAPP, which causes reversion to infective status in 5% of the monkeys tested and apparently did the same with the Nurse who received it in Nigeria, left the quarantine Center and then became ill again, I pointed out that since Nano Silver 10 PPM has a long and safe human use history, it would be even more ethical to use Nano Silver i trials.
Tragically, the pharmaceutical interests, which stand to lose a vast amount of money when Nano Silver does work, would have none of it.
WHO is, by the way, a private corporation, not a humanitarian NGO and 2/3 of its funding, and therefore its responsibility to produce profits, is to its pharmaceutical investors.
I was contacted by people from Sierra Leone who asked for enough material to treat 100 patients and that was provided as well.
Please correct your posting and your articles as they are sadly out of compliance with accurate statements.
Yours in health and freedom,
Dr. Rima

Guy, he told you what you wanted to hear, why did Iyke not admit him in his hospital? do you have any Idea how long that diplomat stayed in that hotel? the wife is giving you stories, why did prime reject him for admission before he went to stadium road?

phantom: people just post rubbish on nairaland.
the said doctor was in private practice not government and secondly he had no idea he was treating an ebola patient.
that diplomat is suspected to have hidden vital history of information from the doctor
Mr Phantom, he knows, Sawyer's test report came out on the 22nd July 2014 and it was announced, Dr Ike was treating the diplomat since the 5th of August, even if he claims not to know, Liberia + Sawyer + hemorrhagic fever should add up to Ebola, ( he is a professional for fvcks sakes) he was paid good money for that and people who know him have confirmed that, you said you know him too, why dont you pull some strings to get some facts.

Do you know that it was Dr Ike who invited the Diplomat to PH? if he doesn't know he had Ebola, he should just admit him in his hospital, but to avoid any suspicion, he checked him in a hotel and was treating him there. Since when has it become a normal practice to be treating patients with hemorrhagic fever in the Hotel?

crunchyg: NOW EBOLA IS IN PH!!
Seriously, why are some pple so wicked & selfish? First, it was patrick sawyer, who flew in2 d country despite knwing dat he had the virus, & d would be effect to unsuspecting Nigerians. For wat? Secondly it was a calous nurse, who escaped quarantine to Enugu to see the "family" 4wat? Probably 2 share d virus wit her family & friends, who she claimed 2 love. Then came d devilish doctor, who should ve knwn beta wat EBOLA is capable of. Why secretly treat d diplomat, was it al 4 money or was he trying to play hero? So wicked dat he never cared 4 his family, his 3months old baby, his friends, co-worker, patients at d hospital & d hotel staff & pple dat came dia. Now he is dead, wia is d money dat he lusted 4. Over 70 pple had contact wt d evil doctor, hw abt those who had contact wt d 70 pple? May God help us all.
Ignorance my dear, while I fear the chain reaction of corruption, I am more mortified the chain reaction of Ignorance in Nigeria,
the doctor got money no doubt but that is not all, he must have undermined the lethal power of the virus, same with the Lagos consultant who passed, she handled Sawyer with a great deal of suspicion yet did not quarantine him, what does that tell you?
She undermined the virus to a great extent.
The way out is for us to increase our sensitization campaign, take this campaign to the grass root that is the only way out.
It is unfortunate that people who ought to know are the most ignorant, Now we are having professional health care workers who are this ignorant about this virus, imagine when it gets to the market men and women with little or no knowledge about this monster?
In the words of a BBC correspondent in Liberia, he called Ebola a "ruthless killer who shows no mercy".

samplegirl: I feel compelled to reply you after seeing how articulate reasonable in your post. Let me make it abundantly clear here that I do not sing praises for GEJ but it is a pity the way people have turned to blame him for everything negative about this country. Let us blame successive governments right from 1960 because the story has been the same since then. Which among them did not promise but see where we are today. If we had gotten it right before, Ya'radua and GEJ wouldn't have found platform in the first place.

Many SAINTS who post rubbish here would jump boat if they see any form of inducement, while some will be far worse than him if they are local council chairman. Call them to come out to protest, you won't see them, ask them to sit at home to frustrate the government, they will tell you they will die if they do not go out a day, ask them to come out and vote out the corrupt man, they will be at home watching home video.

We are hypocrites!
Did you hear yourself say that nonsense? did you? tell me you read that thing you wrote? you want to blame your past for having no direction in your future, this is 2014 for fvck sake not 1960, if 1960 blamed 1958 and 1990 blamed 1982, what will 2015 do? blame 2010?
How many countries in the world think like that? George bush fought terror and indebted America, Obama should blame him and sleep till ISIS bombs the white house.
Most of you must have repeated every class because you guys line of thought is so appalling

what is "enabling" and "conducive" about the PIB? or just some of those Hot words of madueke.

Bawss1: You are assuming that community relations in these IOCs is handled directly by foreign staff or the upper echelons of management. In many, if not all cases you will find indigenes of the community or state in the relations team yet the problems of dealing with the host still persists. I don't think a Nigerian company will fare any better than the IOCs here.
Absolutely!!
Business › Re: Divestment: Shell Sells 4 Oil Fields In Nigeria by jpphilips(m): 6:44pm On Aug 28, 2014
eledacedar: You are right on the community issue. However, it is easier for companies with Nigerian ownership to approach the communities and reach a mutual agreement compared with the IOCs.

It becomes a we-we thing. The saboteurs believe the IOCs have loads of money to part with when their staff is kidnapped but with properly managed local content( take over by local companies), they will have to shift ground too. It would be easier for Mr Emeka Haruna, MD of a Nigerian company to make the communities understand why they can do better by working together than for Mr Bush Van Dam me, MD of any IOC to reason logically with the communities.

That's my take.
It has always been that way, the IOC's CLO's are all from the host community but it doesn't really solve the problem, yes, Nigerian owned companies get caught up in the whole community web most times, it is same for every one, If Shell goes, the Nigerian partners wont fare better, the only difference may be the difference between what the white man termed "profit" and what the black man termed "profit

In this era of information and technology whom do u want to fool by saying nice things about the country..when pple go online and carry out research only to see d woes of Nigeria littered all over..

I was trying to boast about Nigeria to a friend in far away australia who replied me by saying " Is it not Nigeria where the unemployment rate is so high and where citizens got killed to get a job with d immigration"...Yah see me trying to boast about Nigeria and got smacked with that.

The woes of Nigeria is audible to d deaf and visible to the blind.
The incompetent government want us to stay dumb and not complain, the so called citizens are too weak to stand up for something hence, dumb has become an option, if the Op is sincere and really doesn't want bad name for Nigeria, he should champion a cause for change.
Once the government changes, Nigeria will redeem its lost glory. The NAFDAC drug counterfeit war of Akunyili made it to several international media, Op has forgotten so soon.

1: BOKO HARAM: The rise of Boko haram from a mere group of boy scouts to a full blown terrorist organization is Infact aided by the support and free propaganda executed by Nigerians. Boko haram is mainly concentrated in a small area of Nigeria, and they have been able to fight persistently. The rise in their morale is a result of the support that Nigerians unknowingly give to them through telling unconfirmed stories about their exploits.
These stories are grabbed by the international media and announced, thereby making Nigeria to look like a terror ravaged country. The consequence of this is that foreign countries become more wary of Nigerians, and take extra effort to check Nigerians that are going into their countries. Unfortunately, it is the same people that spread these news that suffer most from this.
Let me start by reminding you that every continent in the world can boast of at least two serious intelligent agencies, it means that Nigerians even on a broader scale are not in a position to inform or misinform serious countries, any country who decides to rely on twitter updates has herself to blame.

During the days of Yusuf who was murdered in cold blood by the Nigerian security operatives with the video going viral on you tube, the International community condemned that mistake and warned Nigeria of the consequences, as usual, the Nigerian authorities denied every complicity and went about their normal business, Amnesty international took it further to warn about the human rights abuses committed by the Nigerian forces in the fight against boko haram, as usual we denied it.

Today, that series of denials has metamorphosed into an armed group who initially was seeking for justice attacking police, military and immigration installations, it wasn't enough for the Govt to budge, the govt held senator Ndume by the Jugular as sponsor of the group and heavily politicizing it that the non discerning minds were left with confusion and despair, till date most Nigerians believe IBB, Buhari and co are all boko sponsors, do you blame them?

The United states (housing the best intelligence agency in the world) have told us that Boko haram is bigger than what the Govt is thinking, invariably telling us that these APC guys the PDP are crucifying may not have a hand in it, but the Nigerian govt till date has refused to accept that as a fact and work with it, after the UN bombing in Abuja, a foreigner Mamman Nur was identified in connection with that, even with a foreign Identity, the former security adviser Azazi (who should be a reliable source of info by the way) was drumming that PDP is BH, BH is PDP, where does it leave the Nigerian people?

When AIT, NTA, Channels etc have no single correspondent on the ground in the NE states, our local media rely on anecdotes and foreign media for information on an event happening in their backyard, shameful huh! every information I get on BH, the one from the foreign media quickly add up while the ones from our local media and govt remains a contradiction.
Make no mistakes, youvonne Ndege has slept for three days in Chibok, giving daily updates for Aljazeera network, are you still blaming the Nigerian people?

Boko haram was not bloated by the Nigerian people, the failure of the Nigerian press did, culpability will be fixed on the Government who capitalized on the failure of the Nigerian press politicizing the BH threat, partly to hide their incompetence.
It leaves minds like mine with the option of BBC and Aljazeera.

2: EBOLA: Nigeria was Ebola free before Patrick Sawyer arrived with it. Few people that took care of him got infected before he died, and the LSG in collaboration with the FG struggled and contained the disease. Nigerians blew Ebola out of proportion. Some Nigerians kept spreading rumors about Ebola findings in states that were free of it. As expected, the fictitious news about how fast Ebola was spreading in the country was grabbed by the international news media, and it created panic in foreign countries. With less than 10 deaths from Ebola, Nigerians have been quarantined most at the entry points into foreign countries. This happened in HongKong, Singapore, Malaysia, US, UK etc. Of recent Nigeria was kicked out of the youth Olympics. This is the product of the way Nigerians self-destruct themselves.
Again you miss the point, rumor or not it creates awareness, On the streets of Ivory coast, who by the way have not recorded a single case of Ebola, have bill boards warning citizens of the potential threat, do you call creating awareness over hyping? I disagree with you.
The primary contacts of Patrick sawyer all died of ignorance resulting from lack of awareness, it is not enough to listen to doctors like Phantom who tell us they handled Sawyer with great deal of suspicion.

If they were following the WHO bulletin from August 2012, they will know that in less than 1 month, Ebola has ravaged three countries in other words, the suspicion should go along side with quarantine if the doctors had any idea what they were dealing with, to suspect and lose your guard is the reason all of them are National statistics, now this is a fact that emotions cannot change.

I was impressed last week hearing my mechanic talk about Ebola, it gives me the confidence that the awareness has gotten to the grass root and that is the only chance we have in fighting this epidermic, you may not appreciate that but seeing how the Virus spread in Liberia and sierra leone, hoping you read about a fake healer who have died of Ebola in sierra Leone who claimed he had cure for Ebola prompting a mass migration of Ebola through the two countries.

In my opinion, we have not made enough noise about Ebola, we need to do more so we don't spread the virus, the doctor who recently died in PH, leaving the family on death row if that is not ignorance, what else is it? nurse Justina traveling to Enugu to share her cut, is it not ignorance?
As of Sunday, the health care system in Liberia has collapsed, hospitals are closed, foreign doctors are leaving, people are dying on the street, how did it get so bad? Ignorance, from fake healer, to attacking health workers, to going to break Ebola centers to steal supplies, to "rescuing" Ebola patients from clinics etc.
If we keep quiet on Ebola, believe me, the Most populous black nation in the world we be extinct, that i can assure you.

3: NIGERIAN MILITARY:The Nigerian army was respected and seen as one of the strongest in the world. This is an outcome of the years of conflict resolution at home and foreign countries. Of recent, the rise of Boko Haram has created a new challenge for the Nigerian army. Unlike in conventional warfare across borders, the enemies are within and can easily blend into the civilian population without being noticed. It is actually a difficult conflict especially as the military will have to avoid killing innocent citizens.
Nigerians seem to lack understanding of this difficulty, so they keep taunting the Nigerian military. They write all sorts of anti-military texts, build propaganda to show that the military is weak and expose more of Nigeria's weakness to the world. As a result, Nigeria is seen as being very weak. The most recent effort is increasingly trying to show that the Camerounian Military is stronger than that of Nigeria. WILL IT SURPRISE ANYBODY IF CAMEROUN BECOMES GUTSY ENOUGH TO INVADE NIGERIA? We are hyping their military because they are dealing with a foreign (Nigerian) terrorist group that has barely penetrated their country. If the table was turned, and BOKO HARAM members were Camerounians, do you think It would have been difficult for the Nigerian military to contain? Like the EBOLA SAGA has shown, it is easier to contain a foreign menace.
Unfortunately, Nigeria is seen as a weak nation now, and every small nation can afford to damn Nigerians now.
I don't know about you but the last time I checked, four years ago, fire power rated Nigeria 4th behind Libya in Africa, at a time when BH was still a boys scout movement, can you guess where they are now? below SA, Egypt, Algeria and Ethiopia.

I am not surprised you mentioned the acclaimed success of the Nigeria army, that largely depends on your level of enlightenment, as for me, I know they are not who they said they are, it is not my fault that you were f00led by the propaganda of our military.

During the Liberian war and pockets of military skirmishes at the time, due to the lack of internet infrastructures at the time, the awareness was not there, reason they returned and gave us half truths of their successes, the Onus is on you to research and get your facts right.

For me I have, and the evidence point to gross indiscipline and over hyped success, I encourage you to do urs and come out with a subject worth discussing, Operation Barras was shame enough for the much touted Giants of Africa.

Are Nigerians really demoralizing their armed forces? I don't think so, what I think every well meaning Nigeria is saying (though not with one voice) is give us results not stories!!.
you mentioned that Cameroon or even Chad will be emboldened to breach our sovereignty because of what we say, naaa, it doesn't work that way, have you forgotten that all of them meet, and serve in different missions through out Africa under ECOMOG, AU or UN on a bigger stage?
they already know our women army more than us, they train and fight together in these foreign missions.

During the Malian intervention, an article was written that the French soldiers have refused to work with the Nigerian women army, we all came here to insult the writer calling her names, I don't know how many of you who followed that intervention to the end but as I type, the french have left, they preferred the Chadians to secure the Malian- Algerian border while launching ruthless offensive on the Tuareg rebels,

Without any significant input of the NA, the battle was won, country handed over to the deposed president while our boys stayed back doing stop and search, now this event was just a few years ago.

If Nigerians like you asked the right questions then, perhaps, we may not have lost Gwoza to terrorists, why will the French prefer the Chadians over their Nigerian counterparts? that pertinent question you never asked was the reason you never realized that our last line of defense is long broken, Gwoza was just a confirmation of my long fears.

When the Gov. of the bH epicenter lent his voice to the armed forces, the PDP mad dogs termed it politics, the man must have honestly wanted to help by making it public that our women army are poorly equipped, loads of accusation and counter accusation of lies from our incompetent head of state was flying around, today over 40 Nigerian soldiers have deserted for that same reason and we now know that Gov. shettima was right after all.

PDP with his agents of evil have a task to mask Nigerians in ignorance, people like you, Sincere9gerian and Gen Buhari must have fallen for their gimmicks, in the Health section, Sincere9gerian is regaining his senses, next is Gen Buhari, until we fix culpability where it belongs and eschew all forms of politics, this nation will fail faster than we expect.

We have a nation run by thieves and Liers, where official press release doesn't even add up, do you know that while the Israeli govt was declaring victory over Hamas, majority of her citizens were demanding total annihilation of the Alqassan brigade, what does it tell you? the citizens know the depth of their military.

4: FOOTBALL AGE ISSUE: The issue of football age has become a big problem in soccer. However, the way Nigerians trumpet about the cases involving Nigerians makes it to look as if Nigerians are the biggest age cheats in soccer. As soon as a Nigerian age grade team wins a major tournament, Nigerians take to the social media and start tainting the image of the teams by making unverified statements about the true age of the members of the teams. Unfortunately, these allegations, though mostly unverified, are noted by the members of the international community, and it reduces the respect that the teams have brought for the nation.
Recently, the Nigerian Falconets got to the final of the World Cup. Even though they didn't win, Nigerians have done the usual by going online and raising worrisome accusations against the patriots. They do this without realizing that they are shooting themselves on their feet. If foreign clubs had plans to grab them, these false age accusations may hinder their moves or reduce their values. Tomorrow, if the siblings of these critics are refused visa to play in a foreign country, they will blame the green passport forgetting that they are indirectly responsible for their misfortunes.

Nigerians must be careful about the way they speak and expose Nigeria. Nigeria is for Nigerians. If you kill her, you are killing yourselves. I BELIEVE THAT THE IMAGE OF NIGERIA WILL IMPROVE WHEN NIGERIANS STOP WASHING THEIR DIRTY UNDIES IN PUBLIC.
On the contrary, we strengthened our youth development with those accusations. Pius Ikedia would have served this country longer than few games had we discovered his talent early, the accusations have brought in the MRI technology still, the Nigerian youth have remained on top.
I don't see anything wrong in it, constructive criticism shapes every system to make it better.

May God bless Nigeria and Nigerians
of course
