Cant believe people will accept that for combat, riffle meant for Armed robbers and terrorists, does a reasonable damage though.

thegoodjoehunt3: [b]Brantly began to deteriorate and developed labored breathing. He told his doctors he thought he was dying, according to a source with firsthand knowledge of the situation.
Knowing his dose was still frozen, Brantly asked if he could have Writebol's now-thawed medication. It was brought to his room and administered through an IV. Within an hour of receiving the medication, Brantly's condition dramatically improved. He began breathing easier; the rash over his trunk faded away. One of his doctors described the events as "miraculous."

By the next morning, Brantly was able to take a shower on his own before getting on a specially designed Gulfstream air ambulance jet to be evacuated to the United States.

The missionaries who brought community churches in our villages did not ask our grand fathers to pay a dime, they even went further to give them scholarships abroad, but our dear covenant wont even allow the congregation to afford it.

This situation gives some insight into what would become of the victims of Boko Haram activities in whose names monies were collected from corporate organisations and individuals (over 50billion raised I gathered)!! Not a dime would get to the intended beneficiaries of those funds!!

I think this woman has been rehearsing a lot of PDP press release, little wonder she became emboldened.
If Sawyer wanted adequate care, why did he lie to the hospital that he didn't make contact with an Ebola patient?
was he expected to be treated of malaria being the first Ebola patient in Nigeria?
Where is Nigeria gonna get the treatment to give him?
"Patrick had a passion for life", yet he carried his sister who was dying of Ebola in his arms, he really cared about over 179 Nigerians on death row today, he couldn't warn the doctor and nurses to avoid contact with him.

I thought the Govt said they are stable and responding to death treatment.

who is responsible for this death?

(a) Patrick Sawyer; for traveling against travel warnings.
(b) Minister for health for sleeping since the outbreak became intense in March
(c) Ignorance (AFrican Magic) for occupying the whole time while other news agencies were giving daily update on the Ebola virus.
News had it that the medical staff of the hospital was apprehensive when Sawyer was admitted, they suspected he may have Ebola, the reason they asked him if he made contact with an Ebola patient, my question is this;

Who in his right frame of mind should touch a patient that just arrived from an Ebola red zone without protection? that should give us an insight to the quality of our medical staff, if a nurse or doctor doesn't know that, who should?

The living must ask the relevant questions, while the dead should rest in the bosom of any deity it believes in

I Started The Salt & Water Ebola Cure Rumor I am Truely Sorry – by Adesewa (Nairaland)

My confession and apology

Dear Nigerians and everyone who have heard of the ebola Prevention “News”, My name is Adesewa, I am coming out clean because what started as a joke has escalated into the unprecedented.

How it started
Yesterday i was with friend in her hostel, we were talking about this Ebola out break, when one of my friends, Funke (she introduced me to NL) brought the idea of Us playing a prank on our friends. The first suggestion was to tell people that aloe very could cure Ebola, but we thought it would sound too ridiculous so we forgot about it.

Later that even an idea came to me (i now regret that i did it).

I decided to send a BBM broadcast message to my friends, telling them that the Ministry of Health has asked everyone to bathe with salt and warm water and drink some of it.

I sent the message 7:08pm yesterday

Later this midnight i started getting calls and messages that i should drink salt water and bath with it.

All efforts to tell people that i was the one who started the joke failed. Only my friends who i mentioned earlier believed me. Even my mum called me this morning, i did not know what to tell her.

I am using this medium to beg you all to warn and tell everyone, before they drink salt and damage their health.

Please dont be hash on me. I know this has gone out of hand. I never knew it will be this serious. Some have even added to the original message i sent.

According to her, She’s a student of Federal University of Technology, Akure.

HAVE YOU FORGIVEN HER?

I somewhat agree with you, especially the bizarre way in which the "secret" serum immediately appeared as soon as Americans were infected, and how the company that produced the serum is a biodefense company that works with the US Army department which deals with weapons of mass destruction. However, I think we should be patient before jumping to conclusions because beggars can't be choosers. Also, the recent outbreak of the virus in West Africa, especially in countries that have been civil war prone in the last three decades or so - and the rate in which it has killed people like never before is just shocking.
grin grin grin grin grin

Furthermore, to allude to your point about how Africans have existed with animals for centuries without these diseases - I think Congo(formerly Zaire) has been the testing ground many diseases and all kinds destructive vices since the 50's. And it isn't shocking that Ebola also started from the same country. Coupled with the fact that, there are so many declassified files about western immunologists, virologists, molecular biologists, biochemists, and epidemiologists testing all kinds of viruses in animals, especially primates, before these viruses got to humans(you can read this article about HIV/AIDS and all the different viruses they have tested on animals and humans: http://www.newdawnmagazine.com/articles/AIDS_Who_is_to_Blame.html). However, since we as Africans have no say and we're not scientifically developed to dispute whatever the narrative is - we're better off playing along, till they find a cure. So as not to end up in a catch 22 situation and as ungrateful souls. That's the sad truth about world politics...and some are going to be guinea pigs, and as long as it doesn't break us - we need to find strength in letting it make us stronger. African Americans have been used as guinea pigs for all kinds of experiments for generations, but they're still standing, albeit messed up in way due to how they've systematically destroyed them. We're not China, and I don't think we've the political and scientific might the Chinese used in dealing with the SARS virus.
I agree that Zaire is very bio diversified, but you forgot that Zaire has the worst traditional practices on earth, here are some
from some remote villages;

They bathe dead people and use the water for sanctification.
They eat dead animals and use their organs to acquire spiritual powers,
They sleep with corpses.
They bury in shallow graves

Why wont diseases spread?

You recognized the Chinese effort to stop SARS right? a densely populated country with respiratory disease? if china was in Africa, They would have been Extinct by now.
Was the Chinese accusing the west before looking for a cure?
SirShymex,

I have read everything you wrote but dont ot want to quote it verbatim, just to save space.
In as much as l agree with most of what you wrote, l still want us to ponder on a few "salient" questions"

1.) Monkey and rats are not new species in Africa, they have been around for ages. .... and we have been eating them in their various forms of "bush meat". Some people even eat snakes (and it is not unique to Africans alone, Chinese people eat Lizards and all sorts of "bush meat".)
So first question is: WHEN did,... and HOW did these "bush meats" have/develop the virus or when and how did they become "host" to these virus?
Ignorant question, Ebola has been killing people in Zaire for a very long time, not until the white man came and told them what has been killing them and how to prevent it. liken it to the case we had in Nigeria, do you remember that sickle cell disease killed Nigerians for over 100yrs? while we labelled it "ogbanje" and fed victims to wild animals, the white missionaries came and told us it is sickle cell, and helped us with Genotype kit, today, we do genotype test before marriage and "Ogbanje" Disappeared.
Guess what, since "Ogbanje" disappeared, No single Nigerian Pharmaceutical company is researching for a cure, perhaps we are waiting for the white man to spoon feed us again with solution after several years of begging.
Fruit bats have always been in Zaire, they have always carried Ebola, it has always killed people, they just don't know what has been killing them till 1976.
The reason they asked you to stop eating your bush meat is not because your bush meat has Ebola, but it can host Ebola which is already here. Avoiding it completely is the best preventive measure, it will give time for the carriers to die off, so the next generation will be free. This is common sense bro!

2.)As a follow-up question, Ebola specifically, infected humans for the first time in the Congo about 1976. If we take the theory that it was caused by Monkeys and/or Bats, how come that generations of Africans, who have been eating these 'bush meats' NEVER were infected with Ebola, for generations, before that time?
Ebola has been killing people before 1976, they only had an answer to it from 1976 during an outbreak that consumed 318 people the white men came and gave them an answer.
This will shock you; the region close to the Mongala river which is a tributary of the Ebola river is referred to a "sacred area" in Zaire according to Vanden Bossche and Sir Harry hamilton, could it be that the "god" or "power" there in was the Ebola virus? If so then Ignorance is the culprit as usual.

3.) Africans eat everything available! grin Like some one pointed out, if a "country-chicken" starts to misbehave and acting funny (that infection that kills them but first makes them twist their neck and swirl around in circles before they eventually die ... "Kooli" in Yoruba), we simply slaughter it and eat it.... both the Chicken and its infection! How come we did not develop Ebola or some other variants of the Kooli infection since then?
Ignorance again my friend, if you believe in Migration of animals, it will take just one animal to migrate from an infected zone to a free zone to make a change in geometric progression.
Just a Patrick Sawyer and 179 Nigerians are on death row, Just one fruit bat that flew from Ebola river to the nearest village can make all the difference.

4.) HIV was alien to Africa and probably the whole world until of recent and like all other "incurable disease", why must it have to originate from Africa?...... to be "detected and curable" by the Americans ..al the time?
Ignorance again! SIV was believed to have existed in chimpanzees for over 32,000years, It was just mutation that turned it into HIV, but let us be frank, even if HIV had killed an African 100years ago, how will they know what killed them? the worst they will do is tag it an evil spirit or sacrifice the patient to the gods.

Now, my apologies but l think anyone who is NOT prepared to at least "examine the plausibility" of the theory that "Africans, due to our own carelessness-induced poverty, have been turned to a 'Human Guinea Pig" for the cultivation and testing of various types of Bio-Weapons, by the West, especially America, is playing the Ostrich.

Some will quickly tag it 'conspiracy theory" but l say, "At least, just look into the possibility", using logical reasoning based on some "coincidences", over time, which could probably give you a timeline that connects the t's and dot's?

One poster, "@Musilimu" (Muslim? shocked ) posted something about Tulane research and no one is researching it to see if the post was even true or fabricated? We are an endangered species and we cant afford to be "sheeple" like most Americans who believe ONLY what their govt tells them, using the Faux news, CNN, CBC, e.t.c, whether true or fabricated!
Clap trap, the Tulane research he posted was on a program to reduce population, does Africans have more population than the Asians?
So you think they will spend huge amounts of money, develop a bio weapon and release it in area of low population when the main aim is to depopulate a particular people?
how about China, india, pakistan, United states, brasil for starters?

I am open to "all sources of information" and will take time to read-up on each one, do my own independent research and form an INFORMED OPINION of my own, based on what l have read and deciphered.
But most people condemn and trash information, simply because they dont like the "messenger"!
Please do, that will certainly distinguish you from a lot of Dumbos here!

Many declassified information has shown that Americans have "experimented" on all sorts of dangerous things, from Chemical weapons, to Biological weapons and will go to great lengths to HIDE these experiments, from the Guinea Pigs, who incidentally happen to be blacks, being the most poverty stricken and illiterate breed of humans on earth!!

Some years recent, Dolphins and Whales (large sea animals)suddenly started "beaching and dying" without any explanations, from Nigeria to South Africa, to Spain! Well, there were suggestions that the Americans who were working nearby on a different project in SA, were actually testing new Biological weapons using Sonar! When it became "news", though the Americans never accepted but they stopped their work and the animal death also stooped! Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not

For a nation that has "tested" banned munitions and new variants on people in Iraq and Afghanistan (White Phosphorus, e.t.c), on Vietnamese (Agent Orange) and Japanese long ago, NOTHING IS BEYOND THEM and to just brush it aside can be our greatest undoing.

I do not hate America, l have travelled there a few times on Holiday and am still going, just like l travel to other countries around the world when l have the time, but that does not mean we cant "discuss" them and what they do.
Allowing yourself to be used as a lab rat should concern you more than who used you don't you think so? Given the opportunity, Iran will gladly wipe Israel off the map, where is the opportunity my friend?

I am inclined to think that the "new" Ebola Virus outbreak in Liberia and Sierra Leone was a "Lab-testing" of a biological weapon otherwise, how come the American Defence Department was involved in the work of Zmapp, if it was just plain, normal corporate research and not Bio-weapons??
Ignorance again, the death toll on Ebola has not yet gotten to a "state of Emergency" the reason the research was stalled, haven't you head the word "priority" before? funding for the Zmapp was released in 2003, and yes it takes long to get a break through in such areas, stop being ignorant just read.
Go and read the mission statement of the United states DOD to understand why they got involved in such research.

Again, l think they just needed to go the next step, which is "human testing", something they cant do in the U.S, by injecting the Virus into the Monkeys, knowing fully well that 'Africans are bush meat eaters" and will unknowingly eat the Monkeys at a stage and the Monkeys will spread it around amongst themselves anyway! wink wink

Now, imagine if America was not aware that "it has a cure in-place", do you think they will allow a possible "INCURABLE biological catastrophe" to be brought on American soil, (rather than experiment with the treatment Abroad orin africa were it originated and people got infected), like they quickly asked the two SafePurse health workers to be brought to Atlanta? NEVER, its not in American nature to do so
If a plane load of WHITE Americans were to pose an "existential threat" to America, they would bomb it out of the Sky without blinking an eye.
I tell you, they knew what they were doing from day-1. undecided undecided

Just like "Security Companies" who manufacture "Anti-Virus Software", it is feasible that they would actually manufacture the "virus first" in the Lab, have enough time to develop a cure and probably "release the virus" to the world through a "third party" and then claim they have done research on the virus and can cure it ...... of course, for a good fee! wink

In America's case, that "fee" would or may not be monetary but global control and dominance!

In war, everything and anything is possible..... and Africa is at war with civilization and dominance.

Someone said, if it were possible to remove TWO THINGS from the World, the world will be a Paradise:
1) ISLAM,as a religion!
2.) Black Humans!!

Now, l am not defending either of the two above but if you look at American policy, subtly, it is trying to achieve both, in a very "humane, democratic and civilized way"! grin grin wink

Anyway, l still cant blame anyone for my own failures, if after so many years l still cant figure it out and solve my problem!
All these my "finger-pointing" is just for awareness alone, it does not solve the real problem.
The solution lies with we Africans looking ourselves in the eye and saying: Look, you don phuck-up big time, NOW SIT UP and TAKE YOUR PLACE AMONGST NATIONS, FROM NOW ON!

That wont be easy, because there are "forces" whose"interests" are "diametrically opposed" to that, ...but we have no choice really!
Patrice Mulumba, Jonas Savimbi, Maumar Ghadafi tried it, Allende of Chile and many more who tried it, got murdered, directly or indirectly by "you-know-whom"?
You wont get any cookies for guessing right. grin grin

Cheers Bro and nice day.

Lastpage! grin grin grin
grin grin grin

Ignorance reloaded!! The Zmapp was given to the Americans in Liberia, because they were unsure if it will work being a trial drug, how will they doubt their own anti dote? even when the drug was released, news had it that they were not certain it will work due to the time frame of exposure to the Virus.

The first Ebola case on US soil came from the Philippines through an imported Animal, could it be that they sent the bio weapon to Africa and the Philippines but the Filipinos used juju to send it back to America while our Juju failed us?
Use your head Mr Man!!, Ignorance kills faster than Ebola.
Why is it that no African country has a cure for a virus discovered since 1976 on African soil, Bio weapon or not? How long did it take the Australians to get the answer to 2007 Dengue fever bio weapon or not?

No gay marriage, no ZMAPP

You finished the work here bro as you just spoke my mind. America is after their own hidden agenda in the world that's why if you do not accept any trash they support, you won't get anything from them. Let's take a look at the $110m grant the released for Africa, is it not surprising that Nigeria & Zimbabwe which has passed a law against homosexuality were exempted from it whereas poor Uganda who last week or thereabout said that their own anti-homosexuality law passed in its assembly didn't follow due process & therefore quashed it has been included. I don't blame the yankees but our leaders & in particular our deranged youths who have sworn to be bootlickers of politicians embezzling our collective resources. I am also worried that even the zmapp given to the Liberian government is a non-tested one whereas the one they used on their citizen has already been tested on a monkey
That is very myopic to say the least, Last year, David Cameron made a passionate appeal to world leaders to stop giving aids to Nigeria because of corruption, they said that Nigeria has nothing to show for all they have been given, more so, Nigeria has the biggest economy in Africa, do you really want to compare her with Uganda?
Any loan Nigeria gets from the west lately comes with a huge price tag, the reason they are now running to china. My question is this; If you felt shortchanged in their Aids distribution program, why is it taking you too long to fight corruption?
Sir, I honestly don't think the Ebola virus is a biological weapon, though I might be wrong. It seems the virus came from bats and monkeys(there are four different variants) and I believe other parts of the world have also had similar experiences with similar viruses. However, what isn't clear is how it has been able to mutate to affect humans, just as the SIV from monkeys became HIV in humans. I think that's the broken link where people allude to HIV as being a biological weapon(somewhat plausible for HIV based on some declassified files about the experimentation of a similar virus in the Congo in the 60's and the Soviet Union also claimed in 1986 that HIV was secretly developed at Fort Detrick, the US Army’s biological warfare unit) - but I doubt Ebola has the same origin.
Mutation has been around for a long time you just need to do a little research to get some details, If I had time I would have given you a list of pathogens that have existed like that in different species, lastly HIV is not a virus, it is a retro virus which allows it to mutate easily.

Also, throughout history, humanity has been plagued with many strange diseases. And I believe we as Africans are at the stage Europe was at in medieval times before it lost over half of its population to Black Death. The people were overly religious back then like Africans, but after seeing all their priests dying, and Churches getting emptier by day, they embraced researches and working smart to solve their problems. That's the crossroad Africans are at right now. We've got Malaria, Polio, HIV, Tuberculosis, Cholera etc. killing millions of Africans annually, yet no one cares and absolutely nothing has been done in terms of looking for ways to alleviate these plagues/diseases which are more less African today. And now Ebola - yet no one is doing anything about it, and it's still about begging everywhere, and once the smoke clears, it's back to business as usual.
If you believed that Europe has had a fair share of their own Epidermic worse than Africans, who was testing their biological weapons then? ROME?
I agree with the part that Africans are sleeping, it is not just in the area of research and health care, in all the facets of life, from west Africa, to the east , North to the south.
If Britain didn't stay longer and handing over to the white south Africans, they wouldn't have attained this level, Egypt is boasting as the military power house of Africa and Arab league but without US military aid, Egypt is nothing, same in all Facets, The American University in Cairo was ranked the best Universities in Africa for a very long time then, tell me who laid the foundation? since it fell off, which local Egyptian University have taken over? NONE!!

SA has the best universities in Africa today, none of the top ranked ones came from the ANC govt, it is still the white that did everything for them. The black man is always sleeping when he wakes he trades blame, once tired, he starts peddling conspiracy theories.

Nigeria is not worthy of mention else you throw up!

I agree with you, Africans need to get busy or die. Life expectancy on the continent keeps dropping every year and it's only going to get worse. And I'd wager that most Africans are either sick or walking dead, but most don't know.

Shalom!
Considering the number of m0r0ns i see daily on African roads and here on Nairaland, you are not far from the truth. Ignorance is so deep seated in Africans, try other European or American fora, you hear people talking sane, dissecting facts with logic, once you come here, first you will think they are toddlers, next they will degenerate to sounding like animals, and you think those dvmb fvcks will ever make a breakthrough in science? fantasy reloaded!

GenBuhari: Ebola may or may not be a hoax, all I can say is that I have not yet seen a video of someone on youtube dying the horrible death they claim, all the people I have ever seen are either remarkably well or dead and covered.

I am however convince that the Ebola epidemic is hoax / propaganda

I think that USA / western Europe wants to sell expensive vaccines to Africa, this vaccines are probably what will really kill people.

People please open your eyes.

onatisi: The simple message and solution is that africa needs to start looking inwards for solutions to her problems . Africa can't continue looking and relying on the west for solutions to every problem confronting her. Our goverments in africa must start doing the right things to make african nations fully independent of the west
It cannot happen when the population of dumb Africans remains on the increase, First step, do away with democracy, that will silence the dumb fvcks in Africa.
America want to control the world by all means.
They have been ruling the world since 1948, you are too ignorant to notice

Pls how do we come about this Ebola in the first place? They said through Monkeys, apes animals etc,but are there no monkeys or animals in America?Maybe they re of different species.Infact they have more contacts with these animals than us.They practise bestiality(Having sex with animals),which is a taboo in Africa. The other time they said we should not eat chicken again because of flu,but i could remember when i was younger in the early 80s and 90s when you see any chicken exihibiting a strange symptons(KOLI) we killed the chicken instantly and eat it,nothing happened to us,why is it that now they are saying we cant eat bush meat, chicken and so on?
Since the Virus use these animals as host, it is normal for the Animals to be infected the reason you are advised to stay away from them at least for now, look at how it works, it is simple food chain.
A fruit bat picks a palm fruit on the tree, the fruit falls to the ground, a squirrel eats and gets infected, you eat squirrel and you are gone. OR the squirrel or fruit bat excretes on the grass and releases the virus, the grass cutter eats and becomes a host, you eat grass cutter and you get infected.
Untreated contaminated medical waste will give to the big rat, the cat in your house eats the big rat, and prolly some cat eaters will get it from there. when you stop eating them for a period of time, all the carrier hosts will die with the virus and the new population will be free from the virus.

Also anytime they want to discover any sickness, its always from Black African"s country, why not Egypt,Libya,Tunisia,Algeria and so on?
The fact is that most of these so called researchers go into laboratories and prepare one virus,at the same time the ANTI VIRUS,then take flight to AFRICA,inject the animal they wanted and release the animal back into the forest, then a hunter killed the animal with excitement shared eat among his family or sell it,then virus starts spreading, whereby the Americans have the Anti virus already,Then overnight they claimed to have found the solutions.
This opinion can only thrive in an ignorant mind, they discover these sicknesses in Africa because we are too lazy, ignorant and helpless to do it our self. let me ask you, does Nigeria have an international research team in Europe and America? how are you gonna discover their diseases when you are not even looking for it? here are a few organizations who have a research team on the ground in Africa.
HPRO,IDRC,GRA and OSSERA, to mention but a few.

So when they find one, they inform you, advise you on the mode of its transmission because of course they have studied it for a while, they get the cure and sometimes give it to you free, like the case of ARV, in your unappreciative, disgruntled, ignorant mind, you are still begging for the Zmapp, but they discovered the Ebola Virus since 1976, they did not hide it from you, they warned you and left, what did you do?
you went to sleep, do you know what they did? they took some samples and went into a research, after 11yrs they came out with an unproven cure, guess what you are doing? you are begging like a leper, for a cure that is not certain? shouldn't you be ashamed of yourself?

Are you aware that all the people who have received the Zmapp so far all got it free? a drug that was developed with a grant of $28million? you see why a black man is a blind man, you hear but you don't see, you see but you don't think, when you think, you are lost in confusion and unfounded conspiracy theories.
You said they injected it in your population? why would they do it? what were you doing while they were doing it? how many have you developed and returned to their population, or you don't travel? why is it easy to dump it in Africa but not in south America or Asia with higher populations? can you start using your head from here now that you have a clue!!

What we are experincing now is called MENTAL SLAVERY.Forget all these stories and aids they are given. It has been premeditated
So AFRICA,All that glitters is not gold,SHINE YOUR EYE!!
You are wrong, nobody is experiencing mental slavery with you, you are in your own moral wilderness where you lack not just common sense, but education and logic, the reason you lack panoramic solutions.
You take pride in peddling conspiracy theorems and begging while sane people are in the labs doing what they know best.
It wont be long before the west will build cage for people like you whose ignorance is contagious. Dumbo!!

Be grateful for once, Africa has failed Mankind long before Ebola came.

delishpot: Yeye dey smell. Fed govt sef, na wa o. Can a country choose to drag its feet in a sitiation like this? The doctors and nurses who have chosen to work should be commended and every thing they need to adequatrly care for the sick and protect themselves should be provided. I do not belirve the health insurance shit. Only a dumb doctor will believe that Nigerian government will do as promised. Inshort once that money is paid, the big stomach politictians will embezzle the whole thing and even add ghost doctors names to that list. So I sugest they place a fee or price. Let those over $€Xed legislators, senators and co sacrifice their fat purses for the good of the nation(yeah, in my dreams) and forget about sugar girls and aquiring more minnors as wives.
In this case I support doctors 200% they should not risk their lives for nothing. Their families need them esp in naija where its all man for himself. If you die, trying to serve selflessly governmebt will spit on your grave and pass. Ask the families of those Army and police men how it is when a provider dies for National cause.
What is the difference between Ebola and Boko haram? Boko has more death toll than Ebola, the Govt slept on Boko, we did not complain, so why are we complaining on Ebola? because it is the south? I see!!
Voting Jonathan 2015 is a death warrant.

mayor2013: Call 08165520837 if you need toyota coolant. Distilled water is normal tap water
Guy are you for real? Distilled water is condensed water, your Nigerian tap water and borehole does not undergo any process that remove partly dissolved salts like calcium / magnesium carbonates, hence these salts will deposit in the radiator.
There are three ways you can get distilled water, either you buy from chemical shop, or you boil water with a pot and replace the lid with a collector, as it evaporates, it will distill in the collector you have provided or you can put a hose to the drain of your house AC and secure the lid to prevent impurities.

It is only a m0r0n who couldn't answer where the Onitsha blockade was but was in a hurry to brandish 500,000 Nigerian soldiers from Oyo state who died.
Your Inability to question what you believe in life makes you a sieve brain, pray your kids don't inherit that, it is a ticket to extinction.
People like you were not designed to last, it is a miracle you have lived this long.

What was the total Nigerian population at the time, to think that the Nigerian Government will commit 500,000 soldiers to its armed forces?
Do you know that presently at a population close to 170million people, a united Nigerian's standing army stood at 130,000, it was during the Boko insurgency that plans were made to increase it to 160,000, now for you to believe that a divided Nigeria then had as much as 500,000 soldiers in 1967, is a proof that, you have a small brain in an adult body, your brain was not designed to last beyond 10yrs, somehow, you managed to exceed that age, what we are witnessing today from you is the result of a deficit in brain development.

sorry bro!!

dontjealousme: U sir are a re.tard. Gowon captured the territory after how many years through blockade not fighting, that is the point.
what does r@tard mean? is it a compliment? where was the blockade that captured Onitsha mounted? something is telling me you don't know what blockade means! till you answer this simple question?

For the lies that @calculia sold to you that you are pasting everywhere that Biafra killed more Nigerian soldiers, it is not worth discussing, you know why? because it makes you sound like someone with very fresh pubic hairs.

It is an insult to myself to discuss such because a drunk lizard will never think that Biafrans who were sharing dane guns two people to one, could actually kill more people from a more sophisticated Nigerian side, Like I said, it is an insult to disgrace myself discussing it with you, perhaps you should be having that discussion with your secondary school mates.

For the picture you and your cohort showed up there, the event is called the "Abagana Massacre", I am pretty sure your father just gave you the gist whom most likely was hiding behind women at the time, that picture is not an evidence that Biafra killed more Nigerian soldiers, it is preposterous to even think it is possible.

What happened in that picture was that after committing a lot of atrocities in Asaba, Gen.Murtala Muhhamed decided to to cross the River Niger with a 10boat Armada into Onitsha, after 8days of constant bombardment of Onitsha, the biafran forces took to their heels leaving Onitsha defenseless, part of the reason they ran was that a foreign mercenary whom Ojukwu assigned the Onitsha front got injured and was evacuated, that broke the ranks of the Biafran forces, coupled with Murtala's intense fire power.

Murtala did not pursue the fleeing soldiers rather he went to the Onitsha market to loot and burn down the market, on getting the news that his mercenary was down, Ojukwu drafted Joe Achuzie and his warriors to hold the Onithsha sector at all cost.

Joe in a bid to avoid an open confrontation with Murtala's men went and laid ambush at Abagana enrote Enugu, Unfortunately, as if the gods of Asaba was after murtalla for r@ping and killing their women, there was a tanker laden with petrol on that convoy of 96cars carrying supplies most of which was looted from the Onitsha market, Joe Achuzie triggered the "Ogbunigwe" (an improvised Biafran bomb) which exploded the tanker and burnt the convoy.

Murtalla lost 150men out of 200, miraculously, he survived the explosion, you can read more about the Abagana massacare from the book "There was a country" by chinua Achebe. Biafrans celebrate that Massacre till date which in turn made Achuzie and his crew the Biafran war heroes, I know that you are a product of a failed education system so I don't expect you to know that 150 soldiers is a drop in a basin in a war of that magnitude.

As an individual who must have attended roofless classes, I don't equally expect you to know that Most Biafran writers acclaim that the Abagana massacre was the Biafran's highest kill, through out the conflict, it is only m0r0nic to juxtapose it with the kills from Biafran cities upon cities that fell afterwards.

I know your type, you must be looking for an avenue to learn either because you are too poor to afford books or you are too d@ft to understand them, bottom line, i am not gonna give you any more free classes, you can continue discussing the blockade victory with your fellow m0r0ns.

the only thing the Massacre achieved for the Biafran forces was the three months break needed for the Nigerian forces to regroup, and continue their onslaught from where they stopped, personally, I don't see the Abagana massacre as a big plus for the Biafrans, in the usual Biafran way, always Boasting with Irrelevant things, OR they never believed they could kill that much number of the Nigerian forces, hence the the whole generational jubilation grin grin.
