aaronson:Interesting! So why didn't he live forever? His brainpower is not enough to solve the mystery of death? |

My greatest concern when coming to Lagos was the traffic jams, followed by insecurity, and paranoidically the fear of one chance. What do I get "literally" slapped in the face with? Chicken pox! We see patients all the time and just write, do this, take that, but when faced with the condition itself, it brings home the truth about how patients really feel when they bring their complaints to us. I am in so much pains and distress now I'm not sure I'm not overdosing on some of my medications yet. This is just a call and reminder to fellow physicians to always personalize our patients and show empathy to them when they come to meet us because we can't just understand what they are going through. I could use a iron sponge right now |
omoyemirally:Choi! Doctors don suffer ![]() |
xreal:Sometimes, surgeries are completed with the aid of light from torchlight and phones. |
nedum360:You just hit the nail on the head. I wanted to add this to my comments earlier but got distracted. Personally, I believe if you are going out before becoming a consultant, don't go to the middle east. This is because the pay is slightly above what you will get in some Northern federal hospitals coupled with the fact that it's a dead end job. The fact that he has been exposed to surgical training might even make it worse because he might find the work there too routine and boring. Yes I know Nigeria hospitals are in shambles but still residents are still a bit lucky, so the opportunity shouldn't be thrown away. Manage to finish while trying your best to prepare for/write some international exams and you can then decide if to move out or continue management in the country. |
RedCapChief:Exactly. In fact I'm presently thinking of relocating to the north. It's easier to get work there and will probably start saving for some of these foreign exams. |
OrthoDude:https://mobile.facebook.com/onyva.concepts Follow that link. The guy is an agent that gets involved with such things as you requested. By the way, there is an interview coming up soon this March for fresh recruitments so the earlier the better. You will get his whatsapp number and bbm on from his page. I was also planning to go for the interview before but no money to even process passport. Imagine. No salary for 9 months. Anyway, struggle continues. |
Najwal:They have that annoying habit of telling you they've resolved the problem when they've not done anything. I even thought reporting them to CBN would yield something, for where? |
ayobase:I'll keep my fingers crossed here then, thanks for the info ![]() |
Booty4me:But this is already over 2 months, I think I should just get over it. I just thought giving it one more shot on nairaland could miraculously spring up a solution. |
ayobase:So there's practically nothing one can do about it? It's saddening actually, and porting to another bank will not likely prevent these kind of things. |
Good day everyone, on November 17, 2015, I initiated a transfer of #7,000 to an access bank account using my diamond mobile app but till now, the money has still not been credited to the persons account not has it been returned back to my account. I have called their customer care several times and also gone to the banking Hall to make a written complaint but still, they've refused to return the money. All they've been telling me is that the transaction was successful and hey the receivers hasn't gotten the money. I've forwarded the complaint to CBN through the cpd email address but still problem is still yet to be resolved. Please is there any other thing I can do or does it mean my money is gone forever. Wao! |
cramjones:I understand your point of view, but I guess you don't practise in the country presently. I'm not absolving the guy of any wrong doing but I can assure you I've experienced first hand lack of those essential things you mentioned, and yes in an emergency unit, infact so worse there was no needle and syringe. One of the solutions I think to this problem is for we doctors to be proactive ourselves. During my house job then, many of us had side bags we carried about that contained some of these essential things, bought with our money of course, and these were used for patients in emergency situations and when patients get more stable and was able to get his/her own stuffs, we just replaced some of these things we used for them in preparedness for the next patient. The doc might have just started house job and had not experienced this kind of emergency preparedness before, let's just be easy on him and hope he will pick up some lessons from this thread. |
crayguy:Guy, be rest assured you can do business with these guys. I bought from them too and got my power bank which is serving me well. |
Got my package. Enjoying it This is an independent review mobile.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/gadget/3525936/lumsing-10400mah-power-bank-review/ Mobile phone accessories Reviews Lumsing 10400mAh Power Bank review: Portable phone, tablet, camera charger is a must-have for festivals and camping £21 inc VAT By Marie Brewis | PC Advisor | 19 June 14 Lumsing's Power Bank is a must-have for festival-goers and campers this summer, allowing you to charge your smartphone, tablet, camera and any other 5V USB-powered device wherever you are. Lumsing's Power Bank is a must-have for festival-goers and campers this summer, allowing you to charge your smartphone, tablet, camera and any other 5V USB-powered device wherever you are. Also see: Best holiday-planning apps. It's a 159g, 138x59x20mm harmonica-style device, about the same height as our Samsung Galaxy S4, but a little chunkier and about two thirds of its width. You probably won't want to carry it in your pocket (if this is what you need check out the wallet-sized Onaji Pawa Card emergency charger), but the Lumsing will be an easy fit in your bag or even left in your tent. At just £17.99 on Amazon (but with an RRP of £45), you won't need to guard it with your life, and a soft case is supplied to protect it from any mud splatters and accidental damage. See all phone accessories and tablet accessories. The Power Bank is available in shiny black or white, with a brushed-metal-effect band on the top and a silver plastic edge. It looks surprisingly good for its low price, and feels reassuringly sturdy. Also see: 9 best portable USB chargers 2014 Inside is a Grade A Samsung lithium-ion cell specified at 10,400mAh, which should be good for 500 charges. The Lumsing Power Bank never got any more than warm in our tests, and Lumsing says it's been designed to avoid overcharging and short circuiting, overcurrent and overvoltage. How many times you can charge each of your gadgets depends on their own battery capacities. As a guide, Lumsing says you'll be able to charge an iPhone four- to five times, a Samsung Galaxy smartphone three times, and an iPad once. With phones that have lower-capacity batteries you could get as many as five or six charges. If you're away from the mains for a few days, that's a lot of very useful portable power, and it puts battery cases such as Space Packs from Mophie - able to charge your device up to 80 percent - firmly in the shade. More useful still is the fact the Lumsing has two USB outputs, so you can charge two devices simultaneously. The first output is specified at 1A, while the second 2.1A output offers a faster charge. A power button is found to the right of these outputs, along with four blue LEDs to show the Lumsing Power Bank's remaining charge. When it's empty, you simply recharge the Power Bank via Micro-USB. A USB- to Micro-USB cable is supplied in the box, but you'll need to provide your own USB- to Lightning or other proprietary cables for other devices. Also read our tips on how to improve smartphone battery life. Follow Marie Brewis on Twitter. Verdict Ease of Use: Features: Value for Money: Overall: At £17.99 the Lumsing Power Bank is a fantastic buy, able to keep all your devices going several days away from the mains. If you're planning a camping trip or going to a festival, take the Power Bank with you. |
Fiilosofer:I just finished my house job there in January. |
Fiilosofer:That is UITH Ilorin. You a medical student there? |
