CaptainCanny:I am not sure if he can use the medical from IOM. Basically medical from IOM is for Uk resident permit application, but other gurus in the house could help out with the answer. |
Thanks to everyone in the house, this forum was really helpful. Submitted online Apri 28 , 2017 , PhD University of Saskatchewan No medical No interview Biometrics May 04, 2017, Passport request May 05, 2017 Passport received May 10, 2017 Approved May 10, 2017 Thanks to everyone I applied from Poland. I almost gave up about studying in Canada because I had stories about challenges applying outside Nigeria but someone in this forum encouraged me, even when I find it difficult to provide a good SOA. All I provided was my retired dad's statement with just 500k. Though the PhD is funded but just approximately 17CAD per year. To those still awaiting approval never give up, I would also help with prayers am also available to help review SOP, this would reduce the burden placed on the gurus in the thread. |
mickeyenglish:You can try UK. Estonian embassy in London is quite effective. The problem should be how to get IK visa from Nigeria. Note don't ever tell them you are going to Estonian embassy just apply for a UK tourist visa. |
nwugon:A good SOP can help you with the rejection. from your profile your bachelor's degree is not in line with your work experience, I suggest you explain explicitly why there was a change in career. In addition, I presume you want to quit your current job to pursue MA in french language (Inconsistent career wise). If you can convince the VO why you decided to study MA in french and how it would increase your career progression then the issue of "Purpose of visit" would be solved. Finally, your plans after graduation should be explained in detail. I could help you review your SOP if needed. |
ManTiger:I applied from Poland. |

Hello Please I need someone to help me review my SOP. In addition I am applying outside Nigeria, I have a PhD offer with funding and have included all the necessary documents however I intend to leave the programme am studying right now to start a new one. Don't know if it is going to affect my application. |
Good day guys, i need someone to advice me. I am currently a masters degree student in one of the Eastern European countries and i have a PhD admission offer in Canada with studentship to cover living expenses. However i intend to apply for TRV from my country of residency, On the CIC form i was asked my current status in the country of residence which i filled as a student to graduate 2018. Will that hinder my application given that i would definitely abandon the programme and move to Canada if granted TRV. |
Good Day everyone i am new on this thread, i have just a question. If i gets a scholarship from the school, the scholarship covers tuition and living expenses up to 18000CAD.Do i need to provide additional account statement while applying for study permit? |

Mille:Being a Nigerian is not your choice. Its very difficult to admit but you have come to the reality that you are a Nigerian. I have experienced same treatment countless times but I just had to stay calm. Just be a good ambassador. |

Hello, I saw this on the newspaper this morning, I decided to share with my fellow nairalanders.
|
hakeembee:I wd be in Tallinn August 29th mail me via Nairaland. Presently am in UK |
tobzzy:Your port of entry should be the country that issued the visa. My advice: fly to Estonia, look for a friend in Tallinn to drop your luggage, I could be of help. Then take a 2 hrs ferry to helinski. Advice.... |
tobzzy:Make sure you include your dad s international passport ( photocopy certified by a federal high court) |
If you are paying in pounds you pay £124 for both trp and visa. For the list of documents you need: Admission letter from school Health insurance contract certificate Bank account and source of income in the account signed visa application form with passport attached A statement of intent explaining why you want to school in Estonia (not important) Details of relatives Photocopy of international passport |
Last year election was historic,as the sitting president was voted out of power. In all honesty I supported the meek, gentle and sometimes clueless leader and I was met with utmost disappointment when it became lucid that he had lost the election. Truth be told 2015 general election was marred with deceit, propaganda and ethnic bigotry, and the effect still lingers on in our daily lives. I have been to plethora of countries and I am left stone faced anytime I had to join a long queue just to have my passport checked, then the thought of only one country where I won't have to queue to check the authenticity of any visa lingers through my mind and that country is Nigeria. We might lack the basic social amenities, we might be perceived as fantastically corrupt, we might be seen as morally degrading and technologically backward country but the truth is no doubt God has blessed us beyond imagination.crude oil, Gold, Coal , fertile land and many more are the good things the almighty benign creator has blessed us with. During my youth service last year I could barely afford chicken but I eat fish almost everyday, over here in London the reverse is the case. The simple answer to the question why sea foods are cheaper in Nigeria is simply because we have it in abundance. I might be out of the country but my heart yearns for my be lovette country, I am aware of the hardship and economic situation, the most surprising thing is our youths our perceived leaders of tomorrow seeking for all means to travel abroad with never to return perception. It saddens my heart when my parents categorically told me not to return home after my studies because there's nothing for me at home, they might be right as unemployment is increasing as the day progresses, but I am a world changer I carry with me dreams to turn Nigeria around, dreams to make my country great again. While most people hide their passport I am proud to flaunt mine, my green passport is my identity, it's my origin, I am an ambassador of my great nation. I might not be a supporter of the current president but we all need to support him in his dreams to make our nation great again, his desire to cleanse the mess created during the last 16years. Let's drop out tribal sentiments, our political party affiliations and support President Buhari to make Nigeria great again. One nation, one country, I love my country . Nect My ordeal in Iran.... Estonian embassy in London is the best, it was easy and straightforward to get D visa. And they help you in case you have incomplete documents. |
