CaptainCanny:
Congratulation to you, wishing you the very best as you embark on this new journey.
Please I will like to ascertain the position for someone applying from the UK, can he make use of a medical that he did in IOM Nigeria. P.S. presently in the UK on a tourist visa and hope to apply next week. Thank you.
I am not sure if he can use the medical from IOM. Basically medical from IOM is for Uk resident permit application, but other gurus in the house could help out with the answer.

Thanks to everyone in the house, this forum was really helpful.

Submitted online Apri 28 , 2017 , PhD University of Saskatchewan
No medical
No interview
Biometrics May 04, 2017,
Passport request May 05, 2017
Passport received May 10, 2017
Approved May 10, 2017

Thanks to everyone
I applied from Poland.

I almost gave up about studying in Canada because I had stories about challenges applying outside Nigeria but someone in this forum encouraged me, even when I find it difficult to provide a good SOA. All I provided was my retired dad's statement with just 500k. Though the PhD is funded but just approximately 17CAD per year.
To those still awaiting approval never give up, I would also help with prayers am also available to help review SOP, this would reduce the burden placed on the gurus in the thread.

What about alternative routes such as Russia or UK for undergraduate students?

Has anyone tried them yet?
You can try UK. Estonian embassy in London is quite effective. The problem should be how to get IK visa from Nigeria. Note don't ever tell them you are going to Estonian embassy just apply for a UK tourist visa.

My application was rejected today
Purpose of visit
Travel history.
MA university of Regina with Funding,
Fall 2017.
Submitted March 27th.
Sponsor (brother) statement 15m

My SOA 1.4m
Married with 3kids.
Travelled to Ivory coast,Togo,Egypt,Kenya.
My people what is all this? Because this is confusing.
Going for masters in the same course I studied in my undergraduate.
A good SOP can help you with the rejection. from your profile your bachelor's degree is not in line with your work experience, I suggest you explain explicitly why there was a change in career. In addition, I presume you want to quit your current job to pursue MA in french language (Inconsistent career wise). If you can convince the VO why you decided to study MA in french and how it would increase your career progression then the issue of "Purpose of visit" would be solved. Finally, your plans after graduation should be explained in detail.
I could help you review your SOP if needed.

pls house am abot frustrated. has anyone appied for police report from the UK. I lived in UK for 2 years and feel I should obtain my police report for the period. I have not been able to successfully make payment on the Acro police UK website. do I go ahead with my application and leave out the police report and just used naija. I have lived more than 10 years in naija
Honestly police report is not needed for study permit. Except if requested for. I lived in Uk for a year and I did not include it in my application.

Good day guys, i need someone to advice me. I am currently a masters degree student in one of the Eastern European countries and i have a PhD admission offer in Canada with studentship to cover living expenses. However i intend to apply for TRV from my country of residency,
On the CIC form i was asked my current status in the country of residence which i filled as a student to graduate 2018.
Will that hinder my application given that i would definitely abandon the programme and move to Canada if granted TRV.

TravelRe: I Sincerely Regret Being Nigerian by judebebo32: 8:50am On Sep 30, 2016
Mille:
So I started my Erasmus journey, First destination, Romania.

Left Lagos yesterday night with Turkish airline with a stopover at Istanbul before finally proceeding to Cluj. Since I arrived Istanbul, that Green passport has been a curse to me. Scrutiny upon scrutiny.

They never opened any bag while I was there but they opened mine. I passed through the detector at first and there was nothing. They had to tell me to go back two more times.

When I wanted to board the connecting flight to Cluj, I actually delayed the flight and other passengers by up to 20minutes. They just kept asking for documents after documents to justify my visit to Romania. When I finally arrived Cluj was the worst scrutiny ever. All other passengers were already gone before I finally scaled through. I just kept laughing inside and they kept telling me they are doing their job.

BTW, Is there any black living being in Cluj? From the flight till now, I haven't seen anyone that resembles me. From the airport, they just all kept looking at me like an alien from Mars. But I no send she. Enjoying the attention
Being a Nigerian is not your choice. Its very difficult to admit but you have come to the reality that you are a Nigerian. I have experienced same treatment countless times but I just had to stay calm.

Just be a good ambassador.

Guys if you are coming from India, try to buy one or two stuffs like jacket, shoe, or something to wear...things are a bit expensive hear especially given the fact that WINTER is coming.. Don't be afraid, just get few little stuffs from India so you can save some money and prepare a bit for this wonderfully blessed country.

If you need more information, you may Google search "study in Estonia" and don't forget there is an African students association already growing wings in Estonia check http://aaseesti.com and if you will be studying at University of Tartu, you may contact me so as to have a nice arrival.

I am still @omitobi. See you in Estonia smiley
I have a few jacket to give away,@omitobi and Hakeebee, you guys have been great. I bought them from London quality one. Do send me a mail if you are interested. It's free.

that's how it work bro
Your port of entry should be the country that issued the visa.
My advice: fly to Estonia, look for a friend in Tallinn to drop your luggage, I could be of help. Then take a 2 hrs ferry to helinski.
Advice....

If you are paying in pounds you pay £124 for both trp and visa.
For the list of documents you need:
Admission letter from school
Health insurance contract certificate
Bank account and source of income in the account
signed visa application form with passport attached
A statement of intent explaining why you want to school in Estonia (not important)
Details of relatives
Photocopy of international passport
TravelNigeria: A Country In Distress But With Great Expectations by judebebo32(op): 3:29am On Jul 13, 2016
Last year election was historic,as the sitting president was voted out of power. In all honesty I supported the meek, gentle and sometimes clueless leader and I was met with utmost disappointment when it became lucid that he had lost the election. Truth be told 2015 general election was marred with deceit, propaganda and ethnic bigotry, and the effect still lingers on in our daily lives. I have been to plethora of countries and I am left stone faced anytime I had to join a long queue just to have my passport checked, then the thought of only one country where I won't have to queue to check the authenticity of any visa lingers through my mind and that country is Nigeria. We might lack the basic social amenities, we might be perceived as fantastically corrupt, we might be seen as morally degrading and technologically backward country but the truth is no doubt God has blessed us beyond imagination.crude oil, Gold, Coal , fertile land and many more are the good things the almighty benign creator has blessed us with. During my youth service last year I could barely afford chicken but I eat fish almost everyday, over here in London the reverse is the case. The simple answer to the question why sea foods are cheaper in Nigeria is simply because we have it in abundance.
I might be out of the country but my heart yearns for my be lovette country, I am aware of the hardship and economic situation, the most surprising thing is our youths our perceived leaders of tomorrow seeking for all means to travel abroad with never to return perception. It saddens my heart when my parents categorically told me not to return home after my studies because there's nothing for me at home, they might be right as unemployment is increasing as the day progresses, but I am a world changer I carry with me dreams to turn Nigeria around, dreams to make my country great again. While most people hide their passport I am proud to flaunt mine, my green passport is my identity, it's my origin, I am an ambassador of my great nation. I might not be a supporter of the current president but we all need to support him in his dreams to make our nation great again, his desire to cleanse the mess created during the last 16years. Let's drop out tribal sentiments, our political party affiliations and support President Buhari to make Nigeria great again.
One nation, one country,
I love my country .

Hello Guys....

For those still processing their Estonia Visa and TRP and/or indian visa, I wish you guys goodluck.
However, I will recommend trying to get a UK visit visa if you have a family member or relative in the UK to apply for estonia visa and trp at London. Was quick and easy for me to obtain my Estonia D-visa.
Also theres no harm in trying other places, Please do not all rely on India, it was probably easy in the past.
Are you still in London? Send me a mail we could meet up.
Best regards
