Penguin2: I saw a thread of El-rufai preparing to challenge Tinubu both in traditional courts and in the court of public opinion in order to clear his name of the allegation of being a security risk and for the humiliation he suffered by being dropped by the National Assembly, and something caught my attention. What caught my attention is that the folks who accuse others of chest beating were chest beating that El-rufai is too small to cause any problems for Tinubu and that Tinubu is not Jonathan.
This is why I wanna ask these guys that are chest beating, apart from Southwest, where else can Tinubu count on to have people pour into the streets for his sake?
There was a reason Buhari got away with murder. And this much has been captured by Farouk Kperogi in one of his articles.
Buhari was able to get away with a lot of the atrocities he carried out during his administration because, despite his failures, he still had larger part of the north behind him. To be precise, you wouldn’t have come for Buhari without setting a fire in the whole of Northwest and Northeast that you won’t be able to put out. Even the north central states of Niger and Nasarawa.
Similarly, because Tinubu was looking to succeed Buhari and would not want anything disrupting the equation as it was, there was always fear that an attempt to disrupt Buhari presidency would trigger Tinubu to activate his Southwest structure to pour into the streets just to ensure that his own ambition isn’t jeopardized.
So, in a nutshell, anybody who made any attempt on Buhari’s government would have had 3 regions of Northwest, Northeast and Southwest to contend with in a mass demonstration that could put the country in jeopardy. That was why Buhari got a away with murder and a lot of things he did went unchallenged.
Now, can Tinubu boast of same? Should anything happen to Tinubu today, how many regions will be triggered to stand by him? Is he even sure of his native Southwest? And with Buhari out of power and the uniformity of opinion amongst northerners that he was a failure, how much of goodwill can he control for Tinubu in the north?
To attach faces to the picture we are painting, if you touch Peter Obi today, you would have Southeast, Southsouth and North Central to contend with.
If you touch Atiku today, you would have Northeast and Northwest to contend with.
But if you touch Tinubu, is he even sure of Southwest?
And for those who think Tinubu is protected because he has the armed forces under his command, go and ask Jonathan how it felt to be helpless even with all the armed forces.
Jonathan’s case was even better that he had the Southeast and Southsouth strongly behind him and could still count on some parts of North Central but Tinubu is not even sure of Southwest.
So, Tinubu supporters, where’s the confidence coming from? There’s already general disenchantment with Tinubu in the core north of Northwest and Northeast. He has never been home in the North Central. Southeast is inexistent in his political calculation. And Southsouth is not any different from Southeast.
Should the northern establishment decide to realign with the Southeast and Southsouth bloc as has always been since independence, where else would Tinubu turn to?
Because as things currently stand, if the North and the East come together in 2027, not even rigging will help Tinubu in the 2027 general election. Or how can Tinubu rig in the Northwest, Northeast, North Central, Southsouth and Southeast without triggering a revolution that would consume him?
Penguin is a bird of reason!
Una too dey overate this obi, how can north central be obi base when he only won two states.
Tinubu won in Niger, kogi, Kwara, and benue.
Obi only support base is S.E the additional votes he was able to muster was a result of the M.M ticket.
You should ask yourself why labour party perform poorly during senate, house of rep and governorship election.
DrChukki: This is the way Nigerians think that has made us to be backward...
So even if the court asks him the release MNK, so he shouldn't abi? Don't worry, na Nigeria we dey oh... If you support lawlessness for one, it's just in a short while it will get to you.
I expect you to say the law should have it's course... No be you create Nigeria and no be you write our constitution.
I'm not a supporter of MNK but I just hate rubbish comments.
Secondly, the old Facebook posts you brought up about PO, that shows you lack wisdom.
Have you ever seen any leader who everyone agrees with what he does or says? What you should look at if you're wise is the impacts of his leadership.
Both local and international Organizations and Agencies already scored him high in his performance based on verifiable facts and it was felt by all. How come you're bringing up Facebook posts that you don't even know of the posters were bittered opposion.
Bro, if you want to be valued and respected, this is my advise for you:
- think before you write/talk
- remove sentiments and base your judgment on facts and figures
- know when to keep quiet.
I wish you the best
By refusing to conduct local govt election for 7 yrs is sentiment to u.
Increasing school fees is sentiment.
Investing State fund in his personal bank is sentiment.
You are one of the vestiges that is pulling this country backward.
Someone that want to turn the country from consumption to production is secretly rebuilding his next supermarket, that housed the largest imported consumables goods. is that not hypocrisy.
I could remember that Peter Obi came to power on the 17th March 2006 while the famous Onitsha crisis, which led to the killings of Northerners, occurred on the 21st and 22nd day of February 2006. That was almost a month gap.
Our first meeting with Obi also coincided with his first visit to the town; all arrangements were done to receive the first citizen of the state and also to explain our predicament to him at that moment. As refugees in Army Barrack Onitsha, we took him from the barrack round to the affected areas of the crisis such as Bida Road central to see some houses burnt within the area, and then to Oba of yoruba house and palace that was razed down along sokoto and ifejika streets, then down to bridge head market by the express, where all Northern markets were burnt down. There alone, more than 100 lives were lost and properties worth billions destroyed.
The following businesses were destroyed and burnt completely .
1. Goat Market ( Northerners ) 2. Cola market (Which comprised of North and Western interest) 3.Beans and Rice Market (Northerners ) 4. Onions Market (Northerners ) 5. Vegetables oils (Northerners ) 6. Arewa parks which comprises of Maiduguri, Bauchi, Gombe, Sokoto ,Yola, Kano, Mubi and many Northern states. 7. Osogbo park (Yorubas)
But to our greatest surprise, the first thing that came out of Peter Obi's mouth was, "you people should tell your people to also stop killing our people in the North." It was like a bomb! Everyone was shocked 😲 We couldn't believe a whole Chief Executive Officer of a state who should be for everybody, a "Governor so to say, could utter such a disgusting and an intolerant statement in the public! We all were disappointed and dispersed without even murmuring a word. Peter Obi sent a chill down our spines!
The rest was history; Peter Obi didn't even feel any pity for the lives lost nor the properties destroyed, not to talk of giving out any form of relief materials or compensation of any sort to the biggest community of settlers in the state.
Secondly, at a point in his Administration, Peter Obi decided to eject and takeover those markets mentioned earlier from the Northerners. These are markets which the Northerners had been in possession since 1974 when they were relocated from Ochanja market by the then military government. The Hausa community, thereby, rejected his moves to take them over without any provision or replacement for their original place of business.
To our surprise, Governor Peter Obi ordered the deployment of Military men, who invaded the market and took no prisoners. They shot and killed 7 (Seven) innocent market men among the protesters.
It's not easy to suddenly lose our places of income and sources of living without any replacement. So, we petitioned the matter to the office of the Sultan of Sokoto who in response sent two Emirs, that of Suleja and the Etsu of Nupe, to appease him, but even all that brought no fruitful solution. The governor stood his ground and refused to provide an alternative land for the Markets.
Eventually, his Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, had to visit the governor to beg on our behalf solely for him to provide another place for the continuation of our businesses, but 'the almighty' Peter Obi refused to change position all because we are NORTHERNERS not IGBOS.
Because we are Northerners, Obi felt we didn't deserve a land for our businesses in Anambra State. In fact, in one of our meeting with him he openly said to us and I quote, "you people are foreigners here, therefore you have no right to our land" - a clear case of an intolerant leader. Obi's discrimination and hatred to us clearly defined him as a bigot to the core. Peter Obi forgot that a day like today will come when he will need northerners for his political ambition, he forgot that there are over a Million Igbos of Anambra state origin who are scattered all over the North living comfortably with their families and businesses. So, for Obi's insensitivity and high-handedness, all the traders relocated to Asaba with their families and businesses.
NOW TELL ME, How would Peter Obi treat Northerners if he is elected the President of Nigeria? WORST OF IT ALL, Peter Obi said emphatically that he hated seeing Hausas at the point of entering of Anambra state from Delta state.😲 What a bigot!!
Thirdly, towards the tail end of Peter Obi's administration which coincided with the anniversary of the creation of Anambra state, we were invited by the organizers of the program who is an igbo lady residing in the North. But while making a point on the need to foster unity among Nigerians and suggested that an exchange program should be established where young people from the state should be send to Kano in Exchange for Kano Young Vocational trainees, Peter Obi quickly took over the microphone and said, there is no comparison between the North and the East not to talk of sharing skills and knowledge. He also added that such comparison is like asking China to come to Nigeria to learn Manufacturing business. He made this assertion in the public and I could remember it was the then governor of River state, Chief Rotimi Amaechi, that chaired the occasion.
Moreover, sometimes in 2018, an Igbo Bar man in Niger drive GRA Onitsha invited a Hausa Man to be selling Suya meat in front of his bar just to attract more customers to his business. The distance of the bar is about 300 metres away from Peter Obi's house, but to our greatest shock, Peter Obi invited DSS from Awka to forcibly eject the Hausa Man from the place. His offence - he was a Hausa Man from the North who should not be seen in the GRA. It took the intervention of the landlord and Arewa leaders in the the state to stop Peter Obi from perfecting his illegal motives against the Hausa Man . It should also be of note that Peter Obi equally forcefully deported people of Northern extraction back to Kaduna during his tenure as governor of Anambra state.
Now, what will Peter Obi tell people of the North if he visits any of the Northern States during campaign? How will he be able to prove that he will be a leader for all, going by his notorious antecedent?
In view of all the above Peter Obi's divisive kind of leadership and his unprovoked notorious actions against the North and Northerners, I make bold to say that he is not worthy of a single VOTE from any patriotic Northerner ('Yan Arewa) and Westerners (Yorubas). Obi is an extremely ethnic bigot and a personality very dangerous to be trusted with the highest office of the land. No matter who Peter Obi takes as his Presidential running Mate from the North, we shouldn't trust him.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free
I have decided to lay before all Nigerians the TRUTH, by making a comparative performance analysis of Lagos State under the eight years Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, and Anambra State under the eight year of Peter Obi using the globally a claimed key development indicators. Please, walk with me.
The famous Biblical parable of the talents is one I love so much, and I because its lessons can be taught across all generations.
This is the first of a three parts comparative performance analysis series on the two administrations over the corresponding periods.
Considering the glaring disparity in economic status of the two states, a casual look might suggest to some people that this analysis is unfair to compare Lagos State with Anambra State. Maybe people having such sentiments are right, after all why would anyone compare. But there is no harm still doing the comparison using globally acceptable parameters.
Lagos State is reputed to be the Toast of Africa – from the Portuguese, to the British, to the locals and and Nigeria as a whole, everyone just want her Lagos.
Anambra State, on the other hand, was left in ruins after the civil war of the late 1960s (imagine what’s happening in Ukraine currently)
However, like the lessons taught in the parable of the talents, we still have to be accountable with the little we HAVE, if we want to be entrusted with more.
So, here we will be looking at the performance of BAT between 2003 a d and 2007), and PO between the 2007 and 2014) using key development indicators
Everything I will be sharing are verifiable facts from verifiable sources. Below are growth indicators often used by development economist to access low-middle income countries, hence we will be using it here: 1.) Gross National Income per Capita 2.) Life Expectancy 3.) From the above six development indicators used in measuring public governance performance in low-middle income country, Anambra State under Peter Obi outperformed Lagos State of Baba Tunde Fashola and Bola Ahmed Tinubu in ALL criteria.
Factoring internally generated revenue (IGR), level of investments in Lagos State since the colonial days compared with the devastation of the civil war that affected Anambra State and the entire South Eastern part of Nigeria, it is safe to say Peter Obi administration of men and resources is in a league on his own.
So, comparing Lagos State with Anambra State in terms of the globally accepted developmental indicators is an INSULT to Anambra State under the leadership of Peter Obi.
As if that were not enough, let’s look at the departing gift Peter Obi presented to Anambra State compared to what Bola Ahmed Tinubu left for Lagos State.
To proof that Peter Obi’s education at Harvard Business School, Kellog School of Management, Oxford & Cambridge weren’t just for fun, in his handover note he left local and foreign denominated investment savings in billions of Naira and cash savings for the state as can be seen as attached and verified https:///5G0HrXm6J1
As seen in one of the images, the investment had a MINIMUM of two years maturity period before the state can sell part of it for liquidity.
In the attached images, one can see how the government that succeeded Peter Obi generated funds from the investments he made on behalf of the state https:///CXEZINVyys
These are funds, Peter Obi could have easily stolen, like many governors in Nigeria shamelessly do.
Show me any servant leader in Nigeria’s history, at least since 1999, who can compare with Peter Obi.
Meanwhile, he did all of this and still chose to deprive himself of ALL benefits and entitlements as an ex-governor, having refused to be receiving pensions and other benefits.
Contrast that with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who left office with N27 billion in the treasury and a whopping N100billion debt for which his successor increased to over N400 billion.
NaijaCowFarm: So sooooo TRUE!!! Lets look at it this way.
Atiku Abubakar is the only candidate that the PDP can present in 2027. If the PDP attempts to present another candidate, it will DIE as a party and will be in the company of BOOT Party. Now, since only Atiku has the opportunity to pick the ticket, PDP will no longer command the grassroot following it had in 2023. This is because Atiku CANNOT win. This is the truth, the only way out for Atiku would be to have the support of Peter Obi, which will NEVER happen as Obi has no interest to join the PDP that is bastardized and dieing. A party that cannot tame her errant members is not good enough for Obidients.
Tinubu on the other hand will struggle to retain power in 2027, no thanks to the economic hardship and the poor showing of APC. APC as a party has not offered Nigeria anything and that is a bad omen for the party. It is seen as a corrupt party and a haven for corruption, especially with what Nigerians are discovering about Buhari's government. That said, the distractions from El Rufai and the Nothern oligarch is not a good sign for a Tinubu's second term. If anything, they would arm-twist him and abandon him like they did to Jonathan.
The key political gladiator of 2027 is Peter Obi. Forget the noises about Obidients disagreements across the state. Obidients are VERY MUCH intact and as a matter of fact expanding into the core Northern territory. If there is anyone with "cult" following today in Nigeria, it is Peter Obi. If you take a good look at the Edo election, everyone is making attempts to court Obidients, the same applies to other states with mid-term elections.
So, forecasting into 2027, most PDP voters will switch to Peter Obi in places like the middle-belt and South-South. The fight for soull of Lagos would be very brutal, but again, Peter Obi will again defeat Tinubu in 2027. Hopefully, INEC will not tell us that they could not upload results. We are preparing for them, as we are preparing for the miscreants who would want to forment trouble in Lagos. Once Obi clinches Lagos, the rest of the SouthWest would marginally give Tinubu a slight edge in that region.
The SE and SS would be TOTALLY locked-down for Peter Obi come 2027, the batle for NorthCentral would fiercely wound Tinubu and the APC as Obi is sure to take Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Taraba and share Kogi and Niger with APC. Abuja will remain locked-down for Peter Obi, no matter what Wike tries, he would be caged and defeated. Abuja no bi Rumuokoro.
The NorthWest would be Tinubu's last hold, but if ElRufai makes good his threat, Kaduna, Kano and Kebbi would slip from Tinubu. As for the North East, there would still be a battle ground between Atiku and Tinubu (Shettima) and Peter Obi. Atiku would make effort to make a resounding statement by defeating APC there.
The future looks bright for a New and Better Nigeria.
A party without National spread a party of one Governor and 5 senators is the party to beat in 2027, it like u are having a nightmare.
