President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will struggle with accepting defeat, according to an analysis of the Saturday presidential poll.

The analysis made exclusively for Daily Trust by the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House, United Kingdom, however said “how they (Buhari and Atiku) express their disappointment is the key issue.”

An Associate Fellow of the Africa Programme of the institute, Dr. Lena Koni Hoffman, also said the open popularity contests on the campaign trail through a succession of open-air rallies by Buhari and Atiku “are fundamentally uninspiring.”

She said, “The upside of the 2019 elections is that it has shown that Nigerians are tired of the two main parties that have dominated the last 20 years since the country returned to democracy and have an appetite for more capable candidates emerging through more credible and transparent processes.

“This means that 2019 may be significant not because of who wins but because it’s the threshold for politics-as-usual and the beginning of a transition to a different kind of politics and crop of candidates in 2023.”

Dr Hoffman added that “Lost in the intensity of this focus on the top ticket is the down ballot vote for the 360 members of the House of Representatives and the 109 members of the Senate.”

She said members of the National Assembly “are arguably the most crucial actors after the elections because of their role in addressing constitutional and legislative issues…”

I met my current girlfriend in one of the states in the western part of Nigeria during NYSC and we were very close though we had nothing intimate between us.
After youth service we kept in touch and one thing led to another and we started a relationship, after I discovered that she was a rare breed.

She is every man's dream woman as she is supportive, understanding, loving, has foresight and very industrous and investment crazy.

The problem is that I am not emotionally attached to her. I don't want to marry her out of pity and have reasons to still being running after ladies outside,an act which will definitely bring regret and maybe shatter my dream of a blissful home.

I was thinking maybe, just maybe if we tie the knot I may come to love and b emotionally attached to her.

Please friends in the house I am in a dilemma...

I think I should tell you some few things you should know about her:
After our service year I was struggling to get a job and she advice I set up a business and helped with about 50% of the capital with which I started my current business.

When we started, she bought a large plot of land in my state and just recently developing the plot for agricultural use.

On all the occasion she has visited me in my state, she has done so with her money and also getting plenty of goodies for me and my family.

Just recently, she bought into my lifelong plan of travelling out of the country. She has put visible plan on ground for us to leave the country soon after our wedding.

The truth, is that when I think of her inbuilt qualities, I am force to believe I will be on the losing side if she fails into the hands of someone else.
That's why I said I am in a dilemma.

So many things you can do. Invite two of your brothers home and tell him you are expecting visitors and that the house won't be able to take accommodate him from tomorrow. Tell him it is important he hi because you did not plan to have him beyond one day and now you have very important matters to discuss with the family. Encourage him to take along him belongings as the visitors may not be returning back to base soon.

Or tell him straight away that you are completely against his attitude and it can cause serious spiritual issues for you because from what experience, God will always punish you whenever you encourage such acts directly or indirectly.
Or just tell him to take his load and get out of your house with the girl that night.

I just feel like crying right now, With my level of Exposure see who I voted for, I voted this man in 2015 because Everyone said he's okay for Nigeria, Even Atiku supported him.
