I work with the UNITED NATIONS ( FRENCH TRANSLATOR).
I understand perfectly well what you are talking about the white man and checks and balances.
However, there are No rigorous checks or auditing when it has to do with pure humanitarian work ( just like we just did). You spend the money and send invoices that is it. That is why you see people jostling for NGO'S jobs even in very volatile regions.
Again I think she did a good job.

I'm happy I'm not among the vulnerable so I can at least take care of myself. It's your money not mine. If it were mine, I would demand she forward to me all the emails of those from nl that mailed her, then I will also request to see the account details of the beneficiaries to cross-check. This small details like this is how a decent society is built starting from the supposedly unimportant event like this. I'm out!

Bros as u need money reach, naso I need money too.... Haba, don't accuse the young lady... She is good for this and that's why she was picked

I didn't tell you I need the money, I never sent the email. I commented when I saw those comments above. A white man Will give you an assignment worth only $100 but will audit how you spent the money for transparency sake but a black man will say it doesn't matter because I trust him or her. You can see how they are perpetually ahead of us in every sphere of life. SMH for Nigerians

Stop arguing what you don't know. We were less than 15 people online here as at that time on this thread and it will take up to at least 10 to 25 minutes to get up to 50 emails, I can bet anything on this. Just check the number of monikers online here now I don't mean entire Nairaland. On twitter, there are hundreds of thousands of people seeing what you post depending on your followers or following.

Except the owner of the money is also the owner of that email if not, he should request the print out of those who sent email to that address and their the times they sent the email to confirm or collect password and check. That's the only to way to know how transparent it was

I think u are right. I can decide to choose 20 or 25 people from the email and add the rest from my friends, neighbors and others were I can tell them my share from the deal. OP should demand to see email of all those who sent their emails and confirm all those selected

First, do you mean to dole out a 100k per individual or you intend to split a 100k and share the divisions to different individuals. Well whether the former or latter I must commend your philanthropic gesture.
To your question, I want to recommend a common method that has being used by a number of charitable individuals on here. First, open a thread for your charity give-away then ask prospective less privilege people to put down their pressing needs in writing.
Then randomly pick the lucky ones whose narratives seem genuine, tenable, and touching. Next, you close the offer and mention the names of your lucky winners. Then have them send you their bank details via the email provision on nairaland. Then wire the funds to them. My 1 cent.

Trash! They need small cash to buy food cos they are hungry due to lockdown, they don't want to write jamb

Beg is different from asslicking so as to get favoured. Example

Ok you begged in one thread and some people are asslicking here as you called it, but you now complained about them here so, what's the difference?

Do you think Beremx will be fair in the sharing formula if she doesn't also remember those that suggested her name?

Asslickers shouldn't be favored before the needy

But you also begged and they gave you 5k on the other thread so who's now asslickers between these people and you?

modify and clear the names bro.

One can not blame the guy because it's obvious he does not know how to modify his posts, the only thing left now is to notify the mod to delete this thread. This degrading and inhumane nature of posting people full names because of their situations is saddening.

Names pasted on front page..

Draw will be conducted soon to select the lucky 40 winners...

Yours truly,

Snowland.

I don't think there's a need to post peoples' full names on this platform, it's not proper at all in every angle. You can just pick whoever you want and stop there

You can't get absolute fair and just. Here is my opinion

1.no new accounts should be selected..
2.accounta from a year above should be given priority
3.open a new thread to solicit for account
4.just do first to come first serve.. If you say you should ask for those who truly need help, everybody has a story to tell, so it will be hard to decipher who really needs it or not..pwoolw get sweet mouth o

5.follow your mind

You're no 1 and 2 is not fair

Politics / Re: Caverton Helicopters VS Wike: Why Many Businesses Prefer Lagos by JuicyProstitute: 7:04pm On Apr 09, 2020
[s]
9jatriot:
Port Harcourt as well as Warri used to be the darling state of many big and small oil and gas companies just a few years ago, but that is no longer the case because of similar situation as the one orchestrated by Wike in grounding the operations of Caverton Helicopters.

In spite of the multiple taxation in Lagos, the hold up, the many peculiar challenges in Lagos, many companies will rather have their businesses located in Lagos perceived to be the land of the "godfather" than in these places where their operation takes place.

Even indigenes of some of these places will rather leave their families in Lagos as they continue to work in locations like PH.

Caverton Helicopters has no choice because of their operation but to continue to operate in Port Harcourt anyway since they have no choice, but look at the ripple effect, many companies will remember this in future and locate their businesses in states where the state governor cannot just come and close their shop.

Those pilots presently under arrest pay the pensonal income tax to Rivers state, which means for every company that could have located their businesses in Rivers state but did not, that is an IGR lost and you wonder why our states are not innovative.
[/s]

If Wike sack them from Rivers, their so-called Lagos Head Office will close down. It's the money from the Oil and Gas Companies in the Niger Delta that is sustaining them in Lagos. This your trash will put them in more troubles

You're partially correct although your still wrong in some aspects. OP is ignorant. Court was closed but emergency cases and time bound cases were exempted. I don't know why most Nigerians don't listen to news at home

The enemy of a man is in his backyard. I am beginning to see that the hate of by northerners is hotter than 100°C. innoson against all odds have continued to manufactured cars and vehicles under harsh economic conditions and limitation policies from the government. They are doing all these to him just because he is IGBO.since Nigeria choose to be so tribalistic and evil especially the fulani led government of Nigeria,I think innoson need to relocate his plants overseas or to another african country that will recognise and support him.
