smileyI'm over it now, at least I didn't give in to thoughts of commiting suicide cool I used to hate him and wish him death, but not anymore because I have forgiven him and I wish him well, but he will never see his son again.

Hmmm which kind man be that? Wait a minute did you give him a child too? 3 kids from 3 diff women holyyy shittt!!
yes, I gave him a son, he got a place and moved in with another woman while I was with his parents. Didn't know about it until when he was posted to Abuja and we had to join him, that was when I knew he still got a house there in Abuja and moved in with same lady, while I was hustling for money to give to him to rent at least a room for us... everything came out in the open anyway and I had to come back to my parents. He got married to the lady few months after I left and she put to birth around Nov. My worse mistake

E better make person no get wife than to get the one wey you go dey fear to go meet for house because of their shitty smelly attitudes.

God forbid
Never judge, marriage is not easy and it takes a whole lot of patience to be in it. Not all broken home is as a result of the woman's I'll mannered attitude. A real man will address the issue and divorce her if he's no longer interested instead of running away to an unknown destination.

Sorry dear, but I'll advice you take him to crèche for a start. You need rest and time to yourself please. Sometimes,we just have to close our eyes and be strong to take certain decisions. My essence starts crèche this week and it was a difficult decision for me because she doesn't take food other than breast milk at 6 months. Dearie, madam now takes pap with milk wella and hubby and I were told to get cereals yesterday which she ate well today. This is a babe that wasn't even taking from me but now eats well within the space of a week. You'll definitely miss him but those few hours he'll spend there will be more than refreshing to you. Please take that bold step coz you really need rest biko.
thank you very much ma’am...He will start next month

want to appreciate all the wonderful mothers for their love towards my son and I, your prayers and support was needed and you didn't fail to show undiluted love towards us.
motherhood has thought me patience, unconditional love and above all it has thought me how to be strong both physically and emotionally. I rem when he was admitted at just 3days old, we did bilirubim test every 8hrs and each test requires blood sample which they will prick more than 10 places just to remove blood. At a point they had to tie his hands and legs cos my boy no gree o, his hair was shaved all na vain dem dey find. They called him ekwe sample lol, because of the way he was always giving d doctors headache. I can remember crying like I lost someone, the sleepless night nko? at a point I was like a mad woman, I walked passed the hospital (university of calabar teaching hospital) cos I was deep in thoughts and when I approached a man to ask for direction, he thought I was mad...lol. I don't blame him sha cos I actually looked like one then.
I stopped crying when one of the doctors I approached told me about his possibilities of getting CP cos his body movement was different and he cries with a high pitch. I found strength, I picked up my boy and prayed for him...I told him doctor has said his own, but God has a purpose for him that was when I became strong. I even helped one of d student doctor hold his hands so he can fix Carniola.
Thank God I experienced the joys of motherhood the sweet and sour part. All babies are born special, I've learned to love them irrespective of their conditions cos I know what their mothers will be going through. I love you and all the wonderful babies out there. May God bless our babies and may they continue to be a bunch of blessings to our families.

I understand that and wasn't referring to invasive tests, even observation of the child and his mannerisms is a test. You have to monitor his movement milestones over a couple of months to come up with a suspicion of CP, it shouldn't be diagnosed on the basis of 1 hospital visit and certainly not because of not crawling. That's why I said she should seek a second opinion to calm herself down

How you dey though? Been a minute

the doctor diagnosed him based on the fact that he was yet to start cruising around. He didn't mention cerebral palsy at first until I told him he was seriously jaundiced at birth n the doctor in charge of him already told me to watch him closely that he might have CB. it was after my explanation he just concluded he has CB. So I spoke with a neurologist yesterday and he told me my boy was fine even though he didn't examine him, we spoke on d phone. He said everything I said about him does not show sign of CB, that he was seriously jaundiced doesn't mean he will have CB. then the little man started crawling and scattering this morning, I'm already tired of screaming.....Lol

Graciouscharis:

Calm down madam. Take a deep breath and listen.
Cerebral palsy is not a form of mental/intellectual impairment. I know that there are severe cases. Having a form of cerebral palsy does not mean you cannot walk or do some certain things it just depends on the severity.
There are lots of people that are living with cp, they were not diagnosed but it still doesn't change the fact that they have it.
When a baby is jaundiced to the extent that there's blood transfusion, most times it affects their development. It can come in the form of delay, poor eyesight or something.

Your doctor may be wrong but please don't fold your hands and do nothing and just say you are rejecting it. With the severe jaundice he had, you have to be proactive in seeking for intervention.

Does your son bear weight on his legs? Does the legs shake or is wobbly when he's put to stand? Please sincerely answer these questions.

If you have any concerns with the above asked questions and you are in Lagos, you can take him to Igbobi or luth and request to see a neurological paed. I mentioned igbobi because I know they do assessment. Do the assessment and start therapy if there's need for it. Early intervention is key.

I will suggest you buy omega 3,6,and 9 and vitamin b complex. Give him the right dosage. Please don't overdose it. Use Shea butter to massage the legs and brush his feet with these hair brushes. As much as you can give him fresh foods, vegetables and fruits. Avoid processed and tinned foods.

Your prayer point should be that he is not limited by jaundice or whatever diagnosis by the doctors. Please, if things doesn't work out the way you expect It, do not lose faith. It doesn't change the fact that God is God nor changes or diminishes his love for you and your baby. It only means that he is one of the special treasure sent by God to you, love him scatter and. Nurture him. They give the best hugs and are very sweet.

Please, I am not concluding that the doctor is right but I want to broaden your mind and maybe enlighten you a little. I believe in prayers and know that praying a right is key. If you reject the reality you end up being frustrated. The best time to reject and cancel jaundice and it's effect is when the baby is still in the womb.

I just saw where you stated that he butt shuffles, most times children like that don't crawl before walking. You can try out my suggestions.
Thank you ma'am for taking time to school me, I'm very grateful. He bears weight on his legs, his legs does not shake neither do they wobble, he stands on his own holding on to furniture, he loves it a lot so I do more of that. For his food, He takes like 6-8 fingers of banana a day cos that's what I add to his pap instead of milk, he does not eat processed food. He drinks his milk 3times a day, warm milk in d morning, cold in d afternoon cos of d weather n warm at night. He's already on calcium syrup. I'm glad to tell you he just started crawling. wish I could hug you right now.
