Hello all, pls I'm seeking advice for someone. So the wife of my husband's friend called explaining her case to me as per I've given birth in the U.S that she heard pregnant woman are being bounced back to naija from the airport, it turned out her case is clear ''Misrepresentation'' ,she was asked during interview if she was pregnant and she denied, now she wants to travel and birth, then someone told her to send letter to the embassy, well I told her her visa could be revoked as I've read here but I really don't know what to tell her, pls those that misrepresented how did it turn out or any suggestions as to remedy this.....thanks.

God has been faithful oooo. My twins are no more on oxygen support. Saw them today and the nurses were like they are doing way too fast than their age. Before nko, I married an ijesha man not oyinbo man.
I had to scream it to them to stop calling me for medic aid am not intrested. It was later their over head boss stylishly called me to one side and it's true,I shouldn't collect it. That they are just forcing me but I should make sure I don't. At first, they were like no payment plan bla bla bla just to make me collect but when me and the over head financial boss spoke she was like sure we can work things out.
Am just trying to relax well. Please any mom still planning to share apartment around fort Worth dallas. Want to be closer to my babies. Twice in a week is not enough for me,
God has been faithful oooo,I appreciate God
My prayers are with you,be strong. Meanwhile have you tried bus route it's cheaper since cabs will be expensive considering distance, you could explore that option while waiting to get a closer accommodation, just to get to see ur babies more.

Have been reading through the trend and I want to say thanks to everyone that contributes
Please am filling my B2 form and am confused about who is sponsoring my trip, although my husband who has his own business is sponsoring my trip but he has a lot of money in his business account more than his personal account, my question is : should I fill in his company/organisation as my sponsor and take a later from the company stating he is the owner and will be sponsoring and also the certificate of his ownership or should I take is personal bank statement for the interview?
Thanks
Just fill in your husband's name when going for interview go with supporting documents

Good afternoon people.I have bn following the thread for a while and I think the info here is priceless. To start with,I think my reading threads here is even a testimony because I posted in another thread, enquring about how to go about a tourist visa with wifey, and just about then,a preggy that we've bn long waiting for happened.so immediately, there was change of plans to go the medical visit for childbirth way.
I've bn making a lot of contacts to different hospitals and Dr's with no response until this afternoon when I got a response from Dr Z of oakbend. it is a 5-paged pdf file with different payment details and delivery options. Now I want to know if this is what I to prepare a budget sheet or I still need them to do me a personalised e-mail.
thank you all and stay blessed.

Dear All,

Please i need your advise.

Wifey and I just recently got our visas renewed via dropbox however due to recent discovery, we are changing our stated destination from Milwaukee Wisconsin to Houston Texas.....and the clarification i seek goes thus:-

(1) Is there any issue that can arise at the POE owing to this?
(2) What is the best way to avoid any drama, can we explore the option of contacting the embassy and seek for assistance?
(3) Has anybody here experience this and how was it sorted?

regards.
1.People change destination always.
2.I sent a mail to the embassy and printed response about my change of destination just to avoid stories at poe.
3.Yes, @no 2

Won't it be too painful for the child by the time one returns in like a month/2?

God help us sha
He won't remember the pain, I met a lady that also gave birth in the US same day I was re-doing his circumcision her baby was 3 months. It was done by a paediatric surgeon in uch and he put me through the procedure, baby was given 'penal block' donno if I got the spelling right anyways it was to numb that area though I heard him cry during the procedure dr explain it was Becos of restrictions as his hands and legs were held, lil man was sleeping when he was brought to me, tried to breastfeed he sucked small continued sleeping, I was like shocked cause I was expecting him to be restless and crying ,i was told to just give paracetamol after some hrs , funny thing is I was the one feeling the pain for him but he was fine. To think it cost about N3800 for redo in teaching hospital...... mscheww for oyibo bill sha

Hello everyone, my wife and I have pitched tent with medical center arlington and all is well. We have gotten a Dr for 2500 and hospital for 4500. It has however been challenging getting a pediatrician as the few we have spoken to seem expensive or dont do rounds at MCA, one with a Nigerian name even said she doesn't do circumcision,.

Does anyone know any good and affordable pediatrician in Arlington that has privileges with Medical Center Arlington?

The initial baby check after birth for hearing, sight and a few other stuff. Is it done by your pediatrician or by another specialist provided for by the hospital?

Does that come at a separate cost?

Advices would be highly appreciated.
I would advice u have d circumcision done when u get back, I had to redo mine when I came back cos der was excess skin still covering it, but if you must don't let dem do it immediately I think that's what went wrong with mine, he was just one day old and barely had much to cut So try waiting like one week before doing it.

I have been following this thread from part 1 thru 4. Had my visa interview this morning with hubby in Abuja. Went with all necessary docs as seen on this thread, was denied for no reason.

Vo: good morning
Hubby & I: good morning.
Vo: (scans passports and then looks thru the screen), i can see you are going to have your baby in the US?
Hubby: yes.
Vo: how much do you think this trip will cost?
Hubby: 16K usd. Wanted to pass her budget sheet but she said "I don't need to see any doc."
Vo: where do you work (asking hubby)?
Hubby: xyz multinational company, and as abc manager.
Vo: how much do you earn?
Hubby: told her actual pay (well above 600K monthly), attempted giving her payslips but she again declined saying same.
Vo: flips thru hubby's passport and asked "what did u go for in Egypt?"
Hubby: I went for training - gave details (meanwhile Hubby has been to UK & France many times, as well as SOuth Africa, and Egypt)
Vo: can I see ur acct statement?
Hubby: passed on savings and salary statements (about 30K usd)
Vo: typed and typed and typed...sorry your application has been denied. Passed yellow form and said have a nice day.

She didn't even ask me any question + na so she just dey bone. She 'drilled' a preg woman before me like say d woman offended her before (kept asking her like 6 different times 'y not give birth in south Africa, UK, must it be US), come deny her join.

i dey pray say make she no call me o but...na she call me (window 9). She don reject everybody before us sef.

House, please advise. I am considering applying again next month o...I'm 21 weeks gone.
If is d vo in the last cubicle she can deny for africa, luckily I wasn't interviewed by her 'I enter prayer session as I saw her dishing out green papers to people ' she also denied my frd in Jan. Go ahead and reapply.

Madam read the highlighted part again. When you are entering Nigeria you would present your NIGERIAN passport.. If you present a US passport then it would have to have a Nigerian Visa on it.

If your son has a Nigerian passport as well as a US passport then he would need to travel with both whenever he travels.
He would be stamped in and out of Nigeria on his Nigerian passport and in and out of US on his US passport.
Thanks for the info, I had always had this on my mind now it's clear. Will go ahead and process the passport, thanks again.

If your son has both passports, then he has no need for a visa when travelling between both countries. All he needs do is travel with both passports and present whichever is requested at the various points of entry and departures
Oh really, thanks. We learn everyday indeed.

When your LO is departing Nigeria you would present the Nigerian passport to immigration and when entering the US you present the US passport at POE.....and vice versa
I don't get this! Without visa? When I was returning to Nigeria via united air from houston the airline rep kept announcing 'If you are presenting a US passport there should be a Nigerian visa on it' and I am guessing same goes for the Nigerian passport - US visa, correct me if I'm wrong. I am reluctant to process the Nigerian passport for my son if i'll still have to reapply for Nigerian visa on his passport like there's no need. Enlighten me house, thanks.

So I discovered this evening that agents are usur format. Saw a correspondence between a mama that's wants to birth in the us and the agent.
Get this. She'll book doctor's appointment, get correspondence and prepare budget sheet for the mama for a small fee of 800 usd or 1,500usd for family application.
Allah! People have money to waste o! I'm just dumb founded at how lazy people can decide to be. I can't imagine dashing somebody nothing less then N160k for can do myself.
Say no more, my friend paid an agent 450k and was denied on top. When she told me my jaw just dropped, only if she had asked questions.

Wow,
I'm not sure why that happened. Could you state the airport where this occurred so we know if it is particular with certain places.

However, the US office customer rep even said we could call them at the airport if there are issues and they will talk to the staff.

I know this may happened.

Hello Everyone.
Congrats to all those whose visa was granted recently.
Quick update: I received wife and new born back to Nigeria last week. Had to change flight date though.
For the record, God bless firsttymum and others who posted details about the 2 bags (23 kg) for baby on united. My wife used this from Dallas to Lagos and no issues at all. Check in 4 bags (23 kg) plus diaper bag, hand luggage (10kg), breastpump and baby car seat free.

I kept calling their US office to confirm and they did, I even sent mail to their customer service in US and got affirmative reply just to harm wifey when going. Meanwhile the united office in Nigeria said It is only one bag (10kg)....and that was shocking. Just shrugged it off and went with the US office response. all in all, they offer is valid for now.

Once again, thank you all.
I was told 2bags for baby by united customer care in the US but when I got to the airport it was a diff story I had to pay $200 f the extra bag

Since dollar has us thinking and porting to elpaso and using Form A i jst thot to ask this very nagging question.

Wont it be a problem at POE dat our transcripts show a different hospital and doctor detail?
Will d officers giv a hard time?

Pls anyone with experience, pls share.
I sent a mail to the embassy informing them of my 'change of destination'and asking if by doing this I was violating my visa terms in anyway and they replied so printed it out with their reply for poe, but I wasn't questioned about it. You can do so too just to tick boxes.

Hi everyone, here goes my poe story. Flew united to houston on 1st oct landed 5am their time
Cbp- what brings you to US.
Me- vacation and to have my baby.
Cbp- types on system and says stand aside someone will come and get you. Another officer came and took me for more questioning. (sat and waited till I was called by a black officer)
Cbp- Sit down,so what are you here for.
Me- vacation and to have my baby.
Cbp- you can not be vacationing and also having a baby, vacation is going to the beach, club blab blab....so come out straight with me.
Me- Since baby is not due till nov,i was going to sight see....
Cbp- cuts me, you are to have a baby, cos I can see that already (looking at his system)
Me- (smiles)ok, im here to have my baby.
Cbp- better,so why did you choose to have your baby here?
Me- because US ranks top in obstetric care(got that line on Nairaland).
Cbp- (looks at my passport) but you were born in Nigeria in 198- and i know since you were born till date, the health care there must have improved.
Me- I just want the best for my baby.
Cbp- No,you want the citizenship for you baby that's your primary reason .
Me- No,that's my secondary reason,i want the best health care for us.
Cbp- can I have your dr paper.
Me- hands over doctoresparati paper.
Cbp- why elpaso and not houston, I've never been to that place.
Me - that's where I found a dr.
Cbp - how did you find him.
Me- found him online, he's got nice reviews.
Cbp- oh please,i can start a business now,and tell my colleagues to put in nice reviews for me.
Me - Really!!!
Cbp- calls doctoresparati but no response. Asks for accommodation.
Me- gave him intown suites reservation confirmation page.
Cbp -is this a hotel.
Me- sort of.
Cbp- calls intown suites,(they picked but said the person said he can confirm my reservation untill 11am when office is open,he then him on phone what kind of hotel office doesn't open until 11am,the guy explained is weekly rental apartments kinda off, from what I could understand from their conversation) he then looks at my landing card and saw food items I declared it was plenty and asked me if I can cook there?
Me- yes, I can.
Cbp-ok,how much do you have on you.
Me- $10,450
Cbp- can I see it.
Me- gave him the money, and he counted it and gave it back (but in my mind I keep saying, this man you've got nothing on me,i wasn't nervous one bit,cos I expected it from all I've read here)
Cbp- make sure you keep all receipts of services you receive cos you'll be asked for it the next time you are here, stamps me in 6months, and gave me my passport.
Me- thank you.
Off I go to declare my money, agriculture seized my rice. Anyways that's my story, thanks to Nairaland for confidence building, love you all. Meanwhile met another mum on my flight going to his grace lodge, and a man we entered same cab to intown suites, his wife was already here.

I know I've to wait till after birth but I don't want to do guess work with the info I know about it, thanks in anticipation.
