Graciousbee: Hello dear fam,
Please I want to make an enquiry about BA. If you have 2 stop overs before your final destination, at what point do you get your luggages. Like travelling to Atlanta, and the port of entry is Dallas. Will baggages be released to passengers at Dallas or at the final destination which is Atlanta.
Thank you. Atlanta |

Thank you In elpaso, 2 forms of I.d was compulsory I used my drivers license and intl passport to collect birth certificate, if you spouse is around then one from each person that’s still 2 but in L.a just my intl passport |

Chinemeze17: Hello naira landers, Finally my missionary journey came to an end three weeks ago. I had posted my POE Waka earlier on. I used Hnwmc and Dr xydas and the bills breakdown are Dr 2000$ Hospital 2200$ (the 200$ fee was for an observation before LO came) Collected the non indebtedness letter from financial counselor and a zero balance but no itemized statement, I'm hoping to get that too. Pediatricians 728$ after an initial bill of almost 1500. I called them and stated I was given a quote for healthy baby package which should be applied and honored, eventually they did and I paid over the phone and my statement and zero balance came in the mail. Follow up pediatrician visit 69$ each visit Pathology 179$ Birth certificate 75$ paid for expedited services
Used Qatar airways and added baby ticket for 145$ Got a same day expedited passport 165$ and applied for visa on arrival which was approved after 24hours and sent to my email, Paid 190$ in lagos It all ended in praise, and the boot has been hung finally Pls the visa on arrival did you type it on an A4 paper then scanned it or you just typed it in you email and sent, also was it your husband that sent it with his email or you sent it with your email? I sent with my email and someone said it has to be from my husband and I'm supposed to type it on and A4 sheet and scan how true is this? |

Brownshoogah: Hello @julzz
Does this mean that immigration will let you pass through to the hotel via the walk way without hassle? Before I was moved to the front I was asked what passport I held I said Nigerian then my son I said American, then he told me to go front but I donno if my sons passport has anything to do with it, shebi they said they can let you in if your layover is 12hrs and above and have a US visa so just try when you get there. |

Renewed visa via dropbox, flew virgin Atlantic with my toddler to L.A on the 15th Jan fit to fly was requested at mma, had a 21hr layover so when I got to heathrow I headed to the no 1 hotel was told 90gbp from 9pm-6am, someone here had said she paid 50gbp so I decided to proceed to terminal 4 (I landed at terminal 3) cos I learnt there's a hotel via a walk way there, when I got there it turned out I had to pass thru immigration to get there, the queue was long I was directed to the front cos of my condition but the lady told I had to exit from terminal 3 where I landed and take a bus back to terminal 4, I was really tired already got back to terminal 3 but didn't even have the power to go and pass immigration again so decided to have dinner and head back to the no 1 hotel like that since their check in was by 9pm, when I got back there I was they were fully booked I almost cried cos I just wondered how I was going to manage with my toddler i just put myself together, the airport shorts down at 10pm, luckily I had a blanket with me cos it was cold,my toddler played and later slept and I covered him, after sometime all overnight passengers where moved to gate 24 to stay and we were moved back before 5am, I just went to the family restroom, freshened up, brushed teeth and changed clothes then back to the waiting area, had breakfast and later discovered a kids play area really nice, they put eyes on your kids and even have where you can nap, so rested till my flight time. Fast forward to L.A, virgin Atlantic have there own terminal it is kinda small and there wasn't crowd, used the self service machine collected print out and proceeded to cbp - Cpb - what brings you here Me - have my baby and sight see while waiting Cpb - oh! Do you have a dr Me- yes mentioned his name Cpb - what do you do Me - unemployed but sell female stuffs on a small scale Cpb - who's paying Me - my husband is my sponsor Cpb - what do he do Me - bleep ( asked his colleague something then stamps me in he was acting kinda not sure what to do) Picked my luggage walk about 1min to agric I guess Cpb 2 - asked if I had meat, vegetables blah blah Me - No Cpb 2 - while looking at me why are you here Me - to have a baby Cbp 2 - did you inform them at the embassy Me - yes Cpb 2 - how much do you have with you Me - $8000 Cpb 2- that's not going to cover Me - the quote I got it's going to cover Cpb 2 -it's going to cost over $10,000 Me - I am a self pay so I get some kinda discount paying cash , if I was using insurance then it's gonna cost me more, my husband is also going to be joining me before I'm due Cbp 2 - you had him here (my toddler) and you are here to have another? Me - yes Cpb 2 - why here Me - the care I received when I had my first child was exceptional and I wouldn't want to trade the experience Cpb 2 - who paid the bills Me - I did Cpb 2 - can I have your zero balance Me - gave them to him Cpb2 - looks through and steps out to call another (He wasn't just buying the idea I guess) Cpb 3 - asked where I had my first baby Me - Texas Cpb 3 - asked what my husband does Me - bleep Cbp 3 - oh that explains why Texas, where will you be staying Me- a rented apartment Cbp 3 - signals him to let me go and keep receipts for this birth as I did with my first
In all it took kinda 10mins. My host was like at the other terminal where every other flight lands they have been really holding pregnant women for hours before release and they sent one back because they found out they were collecting benefits for there daughter( which she wasn't aware of) that it was a public charge so he had no say he actually went in the holding area. Please ignore typos |

Fyorgyn: Hi,
I travelled with virgin to LAX in 2016... Layover was 22 hours also.
I asked the UK Border officer that stamped me in (I had a valid UK visa) if he would have let me in without a valid visa and he said that if you have a valid ticket to the US,Canada or Australia you can enter the UK at the discretion of the Border Officer.
He added that more often than not you'd be allowed entry. Oh thanks, this is hopeful. |

OmoBendel24: A new development: Irrespective of whether you have a UK visa or not, yourself and Biodun1234 if you decide to can actually go into the UK for a period less than 48hrs because your layover is more than 12hrs and you have an onward ticket to show alongside either your US, Canada, New Zealand or Australia visa. Just explain yourself appropriately and use the opportunity to see the UK.... Entry isn't 100% guaranteed though, but hardly will you be turned down. I actually read that somewhere but someone told me to forget about it that U.K. Immigration is strict that they won't let me in anyways I'll keep that option open, thanks. |

ladeonas: Hello everyone,
In the spirit of giving back, the layover at London was not funny, flew with cig in Atlantic . Had to get a room for 50gbp for the night. Met some great ladies on the trip anyway. The flight from London to LA was empty. I could sleep on 3seats. I got into LAX on the 13th of Dec , no queue, it was auto passport checkin .
Then I processed to pick my luggage and face the CBP guy.
CBP: How long are you here for? Me: 4months CBP: What are u here for? Me: Xmas and delivery next year CBP: Anyone flighting with u today Me: No CPB: Do you have food Me: yes. The guy stamped me in for 6 months CBP: go to agric Collected all the fruit I got on the plane
It was a breeze, I am seeing the town and waiting for my LO. Please pray for me. My doctor wants CS and my due date is still far away.
Going to Maryland And Dallas for the holidays
Please any Dallas mum in the house,
God bless... Thank God for a smooth entry, you have a U.K visa? |
