Exactly, thievery comes in categories. They may just be doing their routine check, I don't blame them though because people who don't look like they can do such are doing exactly that.

There are different instances I went to shops with guys, I suspect the guy trying to shoplift but did not want me to know.
If a shop customer picking many products and dropping it back, the shop workers would suspect the person trying to steal something.

It might be true her daughter was a shoplifter.
She was caught, then went home to lie to her mother.
Mother was there to oppress the workers.

People dey do shoplifting o, even fridge, television etc. Those are first grade shoplifter.
