Believers are exhorted to depart from sin for a number of beneficial reasons, like a more abundant life, but sinlessness is not a criteria for heaven since Christ solved the sin problem.
Even Paul concluded by saying Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
