Events / Jumia And Innjoo Bring To You The Innjoo One Carnival: Discounts & Freebies by JumiaOnline(m): 3:07pm On Jul 06, 2015
The InnJoo One, sold exclusively on Jumia, can be described as ‘one in a million‘ but this would suggest that a comparable phone could be found after every careful count to one million. We may better describe it as being in a ‘league of its own‘ but this fails to highlight its unrestricted superiority across the entire mobile spectrum. We could then decide to describe it as a ‘stroke of genius‘ but we would lose an emphasis on the effort put in to ensure each unit is built to perfection. What can be confidently said is that the InnJoo One is living proof that perfection is not a myth.

Ever since its launch on Jumia earlier this year, the InnJoo One has secured itself a legendary status among phone lovers. It is by far the most ONE-ted phone in the Nigerian Market. This is more or less due to its outstanding performance yet low price. The InnJoo One is well and truly the melting pot between a high end phone and a budget phone. It impresses with a glass surface and full-metal design, Android Kitkat OS, octa-core processor, 5.0 inch HD screen,13MP back/5MP front camera, 2G RAM/16G ROM and a 2600 mAh battery! All of this for an unbelievable price!

While inspecting the phone which sells out just as fast as it gets put in stock, Fatoumata Ba, Managing Director of Jumia Nigeria, stated, ‘It is easy to see why the InnJoo One quickly became a customer favourite. To start with, it already wins over my heart just from its appealing appearance. Going through the feedback we receive on a daily basis regarding the InnJoo One makes up one of the highlights of my day and we are extremely proud to be the exclusive retailers of this spectacular phone’.

To consolidate the record number of sales being generated by the InnJoo One, an initiative dubbed the InnJoo One Carnival has been set up by Jumia. The InnJoo One Carnival will see the first 200 customers to buy the InnJoo One get a N2000 discount on the phone by simply using the discount code ‘JUMINNCARN’. All phones bought would also automatically come with a free flipcover. On our social channels, you have the opportunity to win InnJoo branded items, powerbanks, and even your very own InnJoo One. Join Jumia on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus to participate and you could just emerge a winner! The InnJoo One, better experienced, than imagined.

Business / The Lenovo A6000 Is Here To Rule by JumiaOnline(m): 2:15pm On Jul 02, 2015
The catchphrase for Lenovo currently is ‘For Those Who Do’. However it could very well be ‘For Those Who Know‘…for those who know true perfection when they see it, for those who know how to distinguish top quality from mediocrity, for those who know that Lenovo is the home to industry leading innovation. In the past few years, Lenovo has been making all the right moves in its mission to becoming the World’s top smartphone manufacturer: acquiring Motorola, establishing a new plant in China producing 30 to 40 million phone per year and more. However nothing has helped the Lenovo course more than the launch of the budget friendly Lenovo A6000.

The Lenovo A6000 smartphone sticks out like a sore thumb in a mobile market saturated by budget friendly smartphones. It stands out due to its high end features, unmistakable appealing appearance, superb performance and stunning price! The Lenovo A6000 gives you the chance to go social at a pocket friendly price and get chit chatting for next to nothing. If you own more than one phone, the Lenovo A6000 has the power to rise into being your favourite phone after just a week of usage as you are sure to fall in love with features such as the Vibe 2.0 User Interface and 4G LTE internet speed.

There is something about its smooth, slim and savvy appearance that can make you admire it all day. Its 5 inch IPS screen has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels which is quite frankly out of the league of its price tag. It you are the type who objects to a phone being very conspicuous in your pocket then with dimensions of 141 x 70 x 8.2 mm, the Lenovo A6000 is a perfect fit for you.

Operating System and Connectivity

Using the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat loaded Lenovo A6000 which has been enhanced with the Lenovo Vibe 2.0 user interface reminds you why you think Android is the best Operating system. The Vibe User Interface helps you gain access to your frequently used apps instantly from your locked screen, wake up your phone with a simple double tap, increase the volume of your ringtone when your phone is kept in your pocket or bag. However you plan to put your Lenovo A6000 to use, you can be sure of an impressive performance. In the area of connectivity you are spoilt with all the features which will put no constraints to the realms in which you can share your files and documents.

Fun Fact: 25,000 units of the Lenovo A6000 sold out in just four seconds during an online Flash Sale in India

Business / The Archos 59 Xenon Review by JumiaOnline(m): 11:51am On Jul 02, 2015
It would be fair if you said that French mobile manufacturing giants, Archos, have only so far been bubbling under. However, the introduction of the Archos 59 Xenon tells the tale of a company that is now ready to take the mobile market by storm and thereafter dominate the proceedings! Archos is a Greek word for ‘Master’ and the quick acquaintance with the Archos 59 Xenon brings to your realization that this high-performance-low-price phone really is a Jack of all trades, master of ALL!

If Archos isn’t a household name yet, the Archos 59 Xenon is the model set to make Archos the most talked about and sought after brands in the Nigerian mobile market. With the volume of press and attention that the Archos 59 Xenon is already generating, this seems a mission with an extremely easy target. Ask any of the more popular mobile manufacturers if there was a phone they wished they had produced themselves and the name ‘Archos 59 Xenon’ is sure to be a reoccurring mention.

SPECIFICATIONS

Display: 5.94 inch HD IPS

Dimensions: 167 x 83 x 8.6 mm

OS: Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Camera: 5MP frontcamera | 8MP rear camera with flash

Memory RAM: 1gig

Storage: 16gig, can be expanded with a micro sd card

Connectivity: WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, WiFi Hospot

Battery: 2500 mAh

Design

In the world we live in, ‘big’ and ‘beautiful’ are two words you hardly see in the same sentence. However, the Archos 59 Xenon is one big phone which still possesses a beautiful and attractive design. With a screen size of 5.94”, the Archos 59 Xenon is not just larger than life in the area of size, but also in the area of excitement. Both the black and white color variations are a joy to hold and behold and it will not take long before the Archos 59 Xenon becomes your most important fashion accessory.

Operating System and Connectivity

The tagline for Archos is ‘Entertainment your way’ and nothing could be more spot on! Running on Android 4.4 Kitkat, the Archos 59 Xenon offers you one of the best stages to enjoy the flexible performance of Android. The Quad core processor and 1gig RAM also brings to the party the speed and power you need by your side when you surf, socialize and share. In the area of connectivity, the Archos 59 Xenon does not leave any room for condemnation. You have at your disposal Bluetooth v4.0, USB, WLAN (Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot).

Camera and Video

The Camera of the Archos 59 Xenon has the power to turn photography from your hobby to a habit. You are promised crystal clear and picture perfect shots at every snap with its 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Going with the Entertainment your way trend, the Archos 59 Xenon also comes with a camera app complete with Panorama and editing tools to ensure that you have your say in how breathtaking your pictures end up being. Whether you are recording videos or capturing frozen moments in life, the Archos 59 Xenon is your best best for the best price.

Others

H+ technology which is a feature which protects you against dropped and unclear calls is one that is always a welcome. Going back to basics, it does not add up for one to have a phone with a million features but no clarity when you make and receive calls. The Archos 59 Xenon makes sure this isn’t the case with H+ technology fully available. Dual sim capabilities also helps you manage your contacts, calls and credit they way you want to. The Archos 59 Xenon video application is also one that is best experienced than explained. With other 15 years of codec, format and mobile media knowledge, you will be in for the ultimate mobile experience.

The Archos 59 Xenon has been described as ‘smarter than most’ and even more importantly is more affordable than most. Visit to place an order right away!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Jumia!!! Please Pay My Money by JumiaOnline(m): 4:11pm On Jun 25, 2015
saints2:
Greetings to all in this forum,
Permit me to firstly apologize if this is the wrong section, I was confused on where to post it.

I started work as a Hub attendant with Jumia last year, ie 4th Dec., 2014, we are been asked to come to their Ikeja head office where we will be put into various sections, I was posted to be under Fancie Crops, which one Mr. Peter was part of them and also as the head of the driver, we are been told the rules and regulations and all the neccessary warnings, and after the whole introduction, one Mr. Tunji, TJ was asked to allocate us to our various post and places that are closer to us, and because I live around Ikoyi, I was posted to Yaba hub where a certain Ms. Theresa was the hub manager as at then.

During the December period, we are not paid a dime, and when we complained, we are been told they are updating our files and we will be paid too, I received an sms from Fancie Corps to come for re-registration as to have our data and so that we can be paid, I have to borrow 1000 naira from my mom to be able to go there, all these while, we have not been given a dime and while we worked from Monday to Sunday, we have two shifts, 7am-7pm and 11am-9pm every day. Those who are called the staffs were given their salary while the new ones were not given a dime, after we complained to the management in Ikeja, mind you, its not from my hub alone, we are many according to what I heard, they sent a text message that we should come back again to do re-registration cos what the company gave the Jumia was too much and they have to verify their claims, mind you, this is around January 15th or 16th, I met with a man there called Cletus, he is at the quarantine area at the new warehouse at Ikeja, he took my data and all my details, and told us around them (this is around January that our money will be paid, I think those in Ikeja too are having challenges with this same company).

We all went back to work, hoping they will keep to their words, and also people have been complaining to the Jumia HR at Ikeja about not paying, On 28th Feb., 2015, I was sacked, my reason for been sacked was not given, and they gave me 32,000 (note that we are meant to receive a total sum of 40-50,000 monthly) and when we asked of the remaining, I was told that Jumia will get to us, from Feburary till now, no calls, no mails, nothing was heard from Jumia. My pain was that those that were sacked was been accused of theft of an iphone 6s which looked quite stupid, and I was forunate that the security at the gate searched me thoroughly, they called the police to interogate, but later left.

From Feburary to June, My money is still hanging, I have made all the neccessary efforts I can including calling Mr. Cletus the man that took my data and pictures and he told me that he has been sacked, I dont know how true this is.

In all, I was owed 3 months, (from Dec to Feb)

Please I want to use this medium to call on Jumia to pay us, cos my other fellows are being owed like me...

JUMIA!!!, PLEASE PAY MY MONEY.

I wont mind if this gets a frontpage space.

Thanks and I am sorry if its quite long.

koksybrown:
I purchased a Blackberry Q10 from Jumia on 31st of Oct 2014.
Item was delivered to me on 10th of Nov. On getting home, i discovered some keypads were faulty.
I called and they sent a retriever as they called it.
11th of Nov Item left my hand
Item was returned back to Jumia on 24 of Nov as shown in my account.

Uptil this minute - 23rd of June 2015, i have not gotten a refund or a replacement from Jumia. I have called their line times without number but all i get is; We will escalate the information to the appropriate authority. Pls be patient.

The most annoying part of it was when one of them told me on phone that a replacement has been sent but it didnt get to me. I'm still wondering how a replacement could be sent without any notice from the tracking. Jumia should understand that this delay is longer than necessary and i can't take it any longer.

I quoted Jumiaonline this morning with my order no but he ignored it.

We are sorry about the experience with your order. However,a voucher has been processed for you and we can see that you have placed a new order. Thank you.
