Those of you getting LORs, note that they are only valid for one year (officially) although some schools do not mind. If you are going for fall next year, wait till next year before getting your LORs.

okay thank you . he doesn't own the company he work for ? should he write it on a plain paper or how should i go about it .

thanks in advance joe NICE

You do not need a letter headed paper. It must not be a letter. It can be in form of an affidavit sworn in the presence of a notary public. Your uncle should know how to go about this.

My Uncle is sponsoring me .My dad's only younger brother (same surname)
do i need letter of sponsorship from him . I already have his bank account .

please advice .

You do. I am sure your school thought he's your dad because of the surname. Get an affidavit of support notarized by a notary public.

If you are talking about denials from other countries, US embassies will not know or else your passport was stamped.

pls any idea of how i can go about this?

Didn't you send an affidavit of support to your school? If yes, a copy of that will do for the interview purpose. They won't even ask for it.

Congrats bro.. All the best in your preparation.

Meanwhile, I wonder why some Christians deceive God. Do not go back to these habits until you get married. God has done it for you and will not be happy if you backslide after getting your visa. If I were a member of your religion, this is what I will do.

Juntod, I admit I came off a bit harsh, but I don't think I insulted you. In any case, if I insulted you in any way, I apologize.

Big Hug Bro. My apologies.

Ok stevecrun I understand you perfectly. I was only pissed at the moment.

I'm sorry Mr. DaBeaver . The format of your post was really suspicious. There comes the avenue for misunderstanding. A brief clarification without the insults would have helped to avert the ugly outcome. #OneLove if you care. Otherwise, #SippingMyTea

stevecrun: My broda, let the matter slide na,you would had just behaved maturely seeing the post and ignoring it.

Make we behave like adults here..

You are not letting it slide by apologising to him and asking me to behave like an adult. I hate one sided people. You should behave maturely by addressing us equally and acknowledging the fact that he insulted me before I gave it back.

If clarifying myself should prompt an unwarranted insult from you, well, live with the happiness it brings you.

You could have done that maturely without insulting me. I only paid you back in your own coin. I wonder why it hurts you.

Wait, are you serious? Didn't you clearly read in my post that I would have no financial dealing whatsoever with any one? How on earth did you wrongly deduce that I wanted to promote any ticketing agency? I only mentioned that I used one when I stated that I did everything on my own, except for getting best airfares from them, and the very reason I didn't mention their name was because I didn't want to promote any company/name. Since you want me to mention the company's name, I will, and I hope you (or whoever deleted my post) would apologize for jumping into a silly conclusion. (and before you make other silly conclusions, I went to India on holidays with my wife before heading to the US, so it was a multiple destination flight).

I really didn't (and still do not) owe you any of these explanations, but I just had to make them so you would set yourself straight and stop acting like some power-drunk demi-god. Next time, ask questions, confirm things before taking silly actions.

You have a wife and you still make out time to be this silly? You must really be a troublesome husband. Nuff said, how are you and your family? Welcome to the thread. You need not fret. Your post was deleted because you sounded like those numerous scammers that come here every now and then to prey on unsuspecting victims. As for the bolded, aint nobody got time for that. A quick delete saves many ignorant newbies.

If you have no skeleton in your cupboard, post that your air ticket agency here so that we all can benefit from it.

Ashigolo: use american airlines (www.aa.com), search and book your local flight there. You can also use www.kayak.com. You'll need your mastercard and your securecode in order to book a local flight.

That code is required from GTB card holders only.
Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by juntod: 2:45pm On Jul 30, 2014
zeezahbee: it depends on the airline. some airline would have prolly delayed you at MMIA, well if the airlines aint arik, then you kinda safe, justsaying# anyways if you landing jfk by 1pm, then book a connecting flight for 5pm. its a game of luck anyways

Hmmmm, I'm connecting 3 hours after landing. Can I make it?

When you book online you will be given the booking ref. Just pay with your GTB card if you have your securecode. Its very easy.

I have a Bsc in Building Engineering and a MSc in Construction Management. I am currently the Project manager at a construction firm and the course they want to sponsor me for is an MS in Project Management.

My wife is a pharmacist, but when we applied in January for the b1/B2, i listed her as home maker, so 'l just go with that same line.

Just married under a year, no kids yet.

You can go in that same line. Remember, they may not even ask you for documents. Just be prepared to orally explain why your company is sponsoring you. You are good to go bro. Best of luck.

pixietop: Good day, I am planning on attending Northwestern University this fall. I have a very rich immigration history and so also does my wife. We both currently have the B1/B2 visa. Our Visa interview(mine F1, hers F2) is for the 7th of August. My company intends on sponsoring me for the trip, I have a board resolution that says that and another covering letter that explains why. I have their six months bank statement, incorporation documents and a cheque for my complete tuition.
We have our I-20s(the two of us), Sevis proof of payment, accommodation deposit, admission letter and my statements that more than covers my wife's expense.

Please have I left anything out.

You have left nothing out. But your profile is incomplete. You didn't indicate if you have kid(s) yet, the degree you wish to pursue, your wife's employment status, etc. With these, you can be guided properly since your wife's intention to return with you after your studies will also be questioned.

1. The school refused instamental payments.
2. The school refused to defer the admission
3. They are insisting on the student arriving this fall or they will cancel the i-20 and not issue another.

This your school harsh oh.. I don't really know the policy for undergrad tuition. But for graduate, tuition is per credit and you pay for only the courses you are enrolling at a particular semester.

stevecrun: And you think the consulate will hear from only Graviton's side..They contact school..and if the truth is known to them..his visa maybe revoked.

You are very correct. He should have started the Lamba with the school. Anyway, we can only wish him best of luck as he tells the sad truth to the consulate.
Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by juntod: 3:51pm On Jul 29, 2014
Joenice: Forget about that. Your attitude isn't okay. Why should you cause problems for other people? Till they ask applicants to start transferring tuition and other fees, then you would understand the drawbacks of what you're trying to do.

Calmdown bro. Reporting your concerns to the consulate in no way affects every other applicant. Its not the first of such cases they have handled and won't be the last. Thousands have crossed the P.O.E without even reporting at any school at all (If they operate the way you presume, the F1 visa would have been abolished before now). Graviton, feel free to contact the consulate as they are in the best position to let you know the consequences should your school reject your deferment proposal and further terminate your SEVIS.

DO NOT TELL THEM YOU CAN NO LONGER AFFORD THE FEES AT THE MOMENT. IF YOU LIKE DON'T HEED TO MY ADVICE OH.

She doesn't want to attend a CC, she just wants a deferment.

She is a friend and I'm facing the same predicament.

I know you always advocate for the truth at all time. But this is the result (disappointment). If she had met me on time to advise her on a sweet Lamba to tell the old school, things would have gone smoothly.
